Installing the Mobile Client

Hello,
I am following the document Oracle® Database Mobile Server Mobile Client Guide Release 11.1.0.
My client platform happens to be Blackberry RIM 5.0.
http://<mobile_server>:<port>/mobile/setup
takes me to the setup page in the Blackberry Simulator browser. Language = English . Platform = Blackberry
But on clicking SQLite Blackberry, what is the next step to install the Mobile Client on Blackberry? There is no setup.exe for SQLite Blackberry. How do I know that the Mobile Client is installed on Blackberry?
Please Help

Mike, thanks for the very quick response.  Not being able to use the MDW and the Mobile Client on the same platform would have been a show-stopper for us.  So, just to be clear, I can use the MDW on my Windows 7 desktop, and use my Windows 7 laptop as the mobile device.
Thanks,

  • "Process settings prevent this task being completed in the mobile client"?

    Hi,
I've created a process and configured it with a mobile endpoint however when it is opened in a mobile workspace I get the message "Process settings prevent this task being completed in the mobile client... Log in to workspace to complete the task.."
    What am I missing?

I've spend some time to investigate this issue and discovered something strange.
"Process settings prevent this task.." appears when "Must open the form to complete the task" option is checked in Assign Task step.
When process is invoked for the first time and this option is unchecked the process fields appear (I checked it on Ipad and Iphone mobile client).
Once any change is done on this process, the process fields disapear from the mobile client and there is no way to approve/decline task only from the workspace.
    Did anyone encountered this behaviour?

  • Resolving conflicts from the mobile client

    Hi guys,
I would like to resolve the conflicts from the Mobile Client, during the sync and programmatically. Is it possible?
Typically, I would to ask the user which version of the data he want to keep.
How could I do that or something equivalent?
    Thanks
    Best regards

For this particular issue, it is better to avoid the ID duplication in the first place, dynamically changing the primary key value in this way may cause problems if the data is resent to the client as it will be seen as a new record, rather than an update.
There are a couple of 'standard' ways of dealing with the ID issue
    1) create sequences within your application (see the docs). You define these as a 'template' with a start value, window (how many values to set aside for each user) and threshold (at which point a new range is sent). We use about 25 sequences, and our practice is to set the start and window to very high values to a) stop the possibility of them overlapping with the sequences in use on the server and b) to in practice never need to be reset
This works fine as each user gets a seperate sequence range when thier client is built, and therefore never overlap causing your problem. There are some issues with sequences, but if you ensure you reset the user before doing complere re-builds you should be ok
    2) create the sequences via sql scripts in the application. This will create the sequence with the same values on all clients, so when using rather than
'select ID_SEQ.nextval from' you need to set up a composite id, something like
    'select (<user_number>*1000)||ID_SEQ.nextval from'
where you have some unique number for each of the users (in some other table) and you are appending the sequence value to the end of this

    Hi Experts,
We have been installing SAP CRM Mobile client component and when we start installation it stops showing the message "Requisite version of
    JRE not found".
We are having java version j2sdk1.4.2_12 in the server and as per the installation guide "SUN Java 2 Standard Development Kit, Standard Edition Version 1.4.2_02 or higher in version" is required.
As instructed in the  note 891477 we had installed java version 1.4.2_09
in a seperate drive and changed the value of the environment variable
    JAVA_HOME accordingly.
    But the problem still persists.
Also in the command prompt when we give the the command "java -version"
    it shows 1.4.2_12.
Also note that our server is Microsoft(R) Windows(R) Server 2003, Enterprise Edition and 32 bit OS.
    Kindly suggest.

  • Cumulative Update 2 for Workflow Manager 1.0 (KB 2902007) - installing the workflow client - nothing happens

I've updated the Service bus and workflow manager to CU2 but when I try and run the workflow manager client it starts but then just bombs out - begins to load then disappears and nothing happens
On Control Panel - the Service bus, workflow manager and WF client are all there - but click show updates - the CUs for Service bus and Workflow manager are there but not for WF client
So it's just not installing for some reason
Anyone know how I can get this to install?
    Cheers
    J

    Hi,
For CU there are Prerequisites, please check the following requirements:
    Software requirements:
PowerShell 3.0 must be installed on the computer to be updated. PowerShell 3.0 is included in the Windows Management Framework 3.0 installation. Go to Windows Management Framework 3.0 to install this update.
Workflow Manager Client 1.0 must be installed on the computer.
For computers that have Workflow Manager 1.0 installed, the following additional requirements apply:
The Service Bus for Windows Server cumulative update must be installed on the whole computer farm before you install the cumulative update for Workflow Manager 1.0
also Service Bus for Windows Server must be installed on the computer.
You must have administrative credentials on the computer where you are installing the software.

  • Anyone installed the Oracle client software on MBP?

    Hi there,
I'm running into problems installing the Oracle 10g client software (not the server) on my macbook Pro (Intel)
The instant client installs fine, but it doesn't have the tools I need (sqlldr, imp, exp). During the install the installer gives me a java UnsatifiedLinkError.
Any thoughts? Sorry if I've missed a previous thread on this, but searches turned up nothing.

So do u mean if we have SQLPLUS on the box, it implies that client tools are installed ?
and the SQLPLUS.exe is the one that indicates the existance of client tools on a box and this has to be present on the box to say that the clinet tools are installed.
Can we have client tools on the box with out SQLPLUS.?

  • Script to install the SCCM client remotely

    Hi everyone,
My customer wants me to realize a script that reads
from a computers.txt list containing all the company computers and that do the following steps:
    1. Verify that the sccm client is not installed
    2. If not present, install remotely the client
    3. Verify that the WMI stack is healthy
Any help will be appreciate :-)
    Thank you

If you're looking for a startup script Jason Sandys has written the best one
    http://blog.configmgrftw.com/configmgr-client-startup-script/
As for reading the computers from a text file, that's ridiculous. You will find that nobody has ever done that. ConfigMgr is designed to manage tens (and hundreds) of thousands of devices in the simplest way possible. Compiling and maintaining a text file
of computer names is high maintenance and quite frankly crazy.

    Please suggest me on this.

    Hi Surendra,

  • I cant install the oracle client 8i

Is there any way we could install oracle client in pentium four
    machines?

I can't either, therefore there's nothing wrong with your phone.  It's a server / apple issue.  Nothing you can do about it right now, so move on...

  • Unable to Install Mobile Client on my machine

    Hi,
I am trying to install MSA on my machine but i am unable to do so . I have  got following installed on my machine
    JRE Version -   j2re1.4.2_09
    JSDK Version - j2sdk1.4.2_09
SQL Server 2005 with TCP/IP protocol enabled on it .
    MSA  Version -- CRM 5.0 SP07
Now if i  try to install the Mobile Client on my machine, it installs all the related tools like Client Console, Conntrans, IPC ,Support Centre, but does not install MSA or MSV .
I was able to install the MSA earlier on the same machine, but when i am trying to uninstall and reinstall its not working .
I tried removing relevant registry entries , uninstalling SQL Server and reinstalling it . Couple of restart of the machine between this , but it does not seems to work .
Please someone let me know if you have faced this problem and a solution for the same
    Regards
    Hemant Gujrati

    Hi Hemant,
It could be possible that not all the registry entries are removed. Please try the following:
    1. Take a backup of your registry in case we need it later
    2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall. You will see many keys with product guids as names.
    3. Scroll through each one of them to see if any key has a value as MSA or MSV. If yes, then delete this key.
    4. Now try to run the installation of SAP CRM Mobile Client. This time, the setup should run fine.
    Hope this helps.

  • Install Mobile Cliente 7.1 in Windows 7

    Hi experts,
I´m trying to install Mobile Client 7.1 SP09-1 in Windows 7. Is it possible? I´m trying it, but i can execute the client, instead the same steps in Windows XP work fine...
The version of the Mobile Cliente 7.1 is SP09-1 and the versipn of the MaxDB is RDBMS_MAXDB_7.6.00_Build_35
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,

If you are a developer, another option is install the mobile client into th NWDS to run mobile applications.
To make this, you can follow the [documentation|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/b6/0f5c4a07cd4bcdb58598760cb27766/content.htm].
