Instances linking when use database polling

One interesting thing I noticed...when I poll from a database from within my BPEL process, I noticed all the instances are linked together when you view it under flow trace.
Does anyone have the same issue?
I'm using 11.1.1.2.
Thanks

HI
I have selected the logical delete and updated one field to the value 30 , but the adapter keep on polling the records in the table . My database to FTP process keeps on writing files in the FTP folder. kindly advise to read only the selected records. if possible give me the entire flow from Database read to FTP write.
Thanks in advance

    How do images embeded in InDesign link when using Creative Cloud on more than two desktops?

    If I am understanding your question correctly, you shouldn't have to worry about embedded images in InDesign. Once embedded, the image is stored within the file.
    If you are wondering about linked images... InDesign will follow the path on your computer and, if it does not find the image, you will recieve a notification. Edit: To prevent this, I would suggest packaging your file using File > Package... This will create a folder with all of your fonts and linked graphics so that you need not worry about broken links.  I just remembered that you cannot upload folders directly to Creative Cloud so a packaged folder wouldn't be very helpful unless you wanted to upload each file manually.
    The best solution I see right now is to either embed the graphics in the document, or upload the images with your document to relink.
    I hope this helped,

  • Timeout when using database link connecting to a remote database

    Hi,
    I have another strange problem. I have two computers A and B. Both have an Oracle database server instance. I manage the one in B (which is my local computer) but not the one in A (which is a computer where I have a user account and an Oracle account but I don't own or manage).
    I tried to establish a database link on the database in B pointing to the one in A. This works.
    When I try the opposite, that is, establish a database link on the database in A pointing to the one in B I cannot get it work. I can create the database link but then when I try to use it (e.g., by submitting a "SELECT") it blocks for a long time and finally returns "ORA-12535: TNS:operation timed out". I tried to execute telnet from A to B using the port of the Oracle database server in B and it seems that the connection is established. I tried something similar with tnsping but this does not work, as I get again the timeout. I tried deactivating the firewall on my computer B, but it does not work either (besides, the telnet passes through even if I have the firewall activated).
    Any idea?
    My TNSPING looks like this:
    tnsping '(DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = <the-target-ip>)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVICE_NAME = XE)
    I also tried with:
    tnsping '(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = <the-target-ip>)(PORT = 1521))';
    I'm lost... Any ideas are very much appreciated.
    Thanks!

    From A to B and from B to A can you ping ... post the output surrounded by tags for formatting.
    Do the same thing for TNSPING.

  • Broken Pipe Error when using database link

    We are using WebLogic 6.1 sp2 / oracle database 8.1.6. / thin drivers.
    The connection works fine, unit I try to access a view that has a union and db links

    We have used one or the other (view or a dblink) and it works, but when used together,

    I haven't proven that this is the cause, I will try to setup a test, but I was wondering

    You need to create the catalog views that support distributed SQL in your remote database (the database you connect to via db_link).
    To create these views, connect "/ as sysdba" and run:
    $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catproc.sql
    which will in turn call several other scripts including: $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin/catrpc.sql (which creates your missing view)
    It is best to run the whole catproc.sql script (and not just the catrpc script).
    You can run and rerun catproc.sql several times quite safely.

  • How to set fetchsize of sql Query when using Database Adapter.

    Hi All,
    I am using DatabaseAdapter to connect to database and retriving huge amount of data.For improvement in the performance I want to set the "fetchsize" of sql query. I know fetchsize can be preset in Java using Jdbc 2.0 API.Please let me know how to set this value in BPEL when using DBAdapter?
    Thanks
    Chandra

    I talked to the developer of the db adapter - and he told me this feature will be available in BPEL PM 10.1.3 (which is supposed to be production later this year, and a public beta soon). If this is an emergency I would recommend going throug Oracle support and have them file an enhancement for 10.1.2.0.2

  • Links when using Templates don't work in preview

    I have created a template for the 'traditional' top banner,
    left navaigation buttons site. In preview mode, any links
    (navigation area or not) that point to another page in the web site
    do not work, but external links go. (No error is reported, but
    nothing happends) However, when published, all links work. Any
    ideas what is happening?
    Eample link:
    <a href="../catalog.htm" target="_self"><img
    src="../_derived/catalog.htm_cmp_edge000_vbtn.gif" width="140"
    height="34" border="0" alt="Catalog &amp; Renewal"
    /></a><br />
    The graphic does appear for the link.
    If it makes any difference, this is a convert FrontPage site
    where I manually edited the html to import the pages into my first
    Dreamweaver site.

    > In preview mode, any links (navigation area or not) that
    point to
    > another page in the web site do not work,
    This is how DW will work if you are using ROOT RELATIVE
    links, *and*
    temporary files to preview.
    Here's an example -
    * I create a page with a link to an image -> <img
    src="/images/foo.gif">
    (note that the image link is a root relative link - the path
    says to go to
    the
    root of the site and look for the images folder because of
    the leading
    slash)
    <img src="/images/foo.gif" (that's root relative - it
    starts with the root
    of the site)
    <img src="../images/foo.gif" (that's document relative -
    it starts with the
    current location of the document)
    * I preview that page with DW (since I am using temp files,
    DW is kind
    enough to realize that root relative links won't work in a
    preview, and so
    it converts them to document relative links when it builds
    the temporary
    file for the preview) -> <img
    src="../images/foo.gif"> (I'm assuming that
    your document is one level below the root of the site). In
    the preview,
    this page looks fine because the browser has no trouble with
    the document
    relative link - it knows where the file it just opened is,
    and can follow
    the path to the image).
    * I then click on a link in the previewed page to another
    page that also has
    ROOT relative linked images --> <img
    src="/images/bar.gif"> and suddenly
    the image does not load.
    Why? Because when you click away from the temp file DW just
    built for you,
    you have lost the benefit of the automatic conversion that DW
    does with
    root relative links, and the browser looks for this new image
    starting from
    the root of the hard drive, not the root of your site.
    The solution is to not use root relative links, and to change
    all your
    existing ones to document relative.

  • Dead links when using Safari.

    I first noticed dead links when trying to read "the Week in iOS Apps," on Macworld. I could go to the second view, but never past the second view. I solved the problem by switching to Firefox. the same thing happened on the Verizon wireless site when I tried to pay my bill.
    Should i make Firefox my primary browser? I have a habit of using Safari. Dead links shouldn't be a problem.

    You can try this. May help.
    Reset Safari.
    Click Safari in the menu bar.
    From the drop down select "Reset Safari".
    Uncheck the boxes beside  all items.
    Just check the box beside “Remove all website data”.
    Click "Reset".
    Empty Caches
    Safari > Preference > Advanced
    Checkmark the box for "Show Develop menu in menu bar".
    Develop menu will appear in the Safari menu bar.
    Click Develop and select "Empty Caches" from the dropdown.
    Turn off Extensions if any, and launch Safari.

  • Project link when using AME to render AE comp?

    Adobe has suggested that we NOT use AE render queue to output file to MXF OP1a AVC-100 due to a bug in the format size . I rely on using the Project Link function when I did use the AE render queue. How do I get that function when using AME to export?

    That's not something that you can do with AME currently.
    If you rendered a master file from After Effects and then transcoded it in AME, you should be able to preserve the metadata from the master in the transcoded file output from AME.  Let me check to see if that works...

  • ORA-12154 when using Database Link

    We're running 11r2 on our servers. I have a primary db and a standby db, using Data Guard. The standby is open for read-only querying. We are not using ASM.
    The primary (and thus the standby) have a PUBLIC database link to a third db server.
    When I run a query against the database link on the primary: select * from test@MyDBlink; Everything works fine.
    When I run the same query against the database link on the standby: select * from test@MyDBlink; I get ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier.
    I check that the db link exists on the standby. It does.
    I go to command prompt on the standby and run "tnsping MyDBlink". It executes fine. It says "Used TNSNAMES adapater to resolve the alias" and sure enough, MyDBlink is referenced in the TNSNAMES.ORA.
    I also run "tnsping IP-of-MyDBlink" to doublecheck. No issues.
    What is going on that is blocking the db link on the standby? Many reports utilize that standby and I'd hate to deny them the functionality of a db link.
    Thanks

    ThanksMost people with this problem don't understand that the dblink is just another client, no different than sqplus running on the same machine - and therefore the link uses the tnsames in the ORACLE_HOME of the database containing the link. But it seems from the steps you've described that you've grasped that. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is when you try sqlplus from the standby server you are hitting a different tnsnames than the one the database is using.

  • ORA-01406 error encountered when using database link

    I am moving data between two different databases using a database link on Oracle 8.1.5. The database statement looks like:
    insert into TABLE@DATABASELINK
    (COLUMNS)
    select (COLUMNS) from TABLE
    One of the database columns is defined as varchar2(4000) on both the source and target database tables. When the data in this column on the source database is greater than 2000 characters, the database query generates the message:
    ORA-01406: fetched column value was truncated
    I have verified that the target column is defined as varchar2(4000), and have also verified that it is this varchar2(4000) column that is causing the problem. I have also tested out that this error only occurs when the varchar field is more than 2000 characters; if I remove characters so that the source field is less than or equal to 2000 characters, this error is no longer generated and the data is inserted to the target database table.
    Is this a limit with database links or some other database parameter that is not set up correctly?
    Thanks...Theresa Tucci

  • SQL Query Works in MS SQL Server 2008 but not when using Database Toolkit

    I have this SQL query:
    DECLARE @DataTypeTable TABLE (
    Name varchar(128),
    TypeID INT)
    --Add comma delimeted data type names to temp table
    INSERT INTO @DataTypeTable (Name)
    SELECT * FROM WhatWeShouldDoRead.func_Split(@DataTypeTrimmed,',')
    SELECT Name FROM @DataTypeTable
    Which takes a comma delimited string and returns the string as a table.  It works correctly in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.  When I run this as a stored procedure  I get back nothing.  There are no errors, SQL or otherwise.  I've verified that I am connected to the correct database and that the stored procedure is loaded by changing the no error string that is reported from this stored procedure (that code is not shown in the above example).  Has anyone seen this problem before, or have any experiance with SQL/Labview interfaces to tell me what I'm doing wrong?
    Thanks in advance.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    After doing some more research it appears that the database toolkit cannot interface with any table results from any type of temp table.  It may have to do with the fact that MS SQL 2008 stores temp tables in a seperate database (tempdb) and not the database you are currently connected to.  See this link for a good artical on temp tables:
    http://databases.aspfaq.com/database/should-i-use-a-temp-table-or-a-table-variable.html
    If possible,  I'd like a someone to prove me wrong, but for now will have to settle for exporting the contents of a temp table through a string.

  • Duplicate processing by DBAdapter when using Distributed Polling with Logical Delete Strategy

    We have DBAdapter based polling services in OSB running across two Active-Active clusters (total 20 managed service across 2 clusters),
    listening to the same database table. (Both clusters read from the same source DB). We want to ensure distributed polling without duplication,
    hence in the DBAdapter we have selected Distributed Polling option, meaning we are using "Select For Update Skip Locking".
    But we see that sometimes, same rows are processed by two different nodes and transactions are processed twice.
    How do we ensure that only one managed server processes a particular row using select for update? We do not want to use the markReservedValue option which was preferred in older version of DBAdapter.
    We are using following values in DB Adapter configuration, the Jdev project for DBAdapter and the OSB proxy using DBAdapter are attached.
    LogicalDeletePolling Strategy
    MarkReadValue = Processed
    MarkUnreadValue = Initiate
    MarkReservedValue = <empty as we are using Skip Locking>
    PollingFrequency = 1 second
    maxRaiseSize = 1
    MaxTransactionSize = 10
    DistributionPolling = checked   (adds lock-n-wait in properties file and changes the SQL to SELECT FOR UPDATE SKIP LOCKED)
    Thanks and Regards

    Hi All,
    Actually I'm also facing the same problem.
    Step I follwed:
    1) Created a job_table in database
    create talbe job_table(id, job_name, job_desc, job_status)
    2)created a bpel process to test the Inbound distributed polling.
    3)Configure the DBAdapter for polling.
    a)update a field in the job_table with logical delete.
    b)select the field name form the drop down
    c) change the read value-->Inprogress and unRead value--->Ready
    d) dont change the value for Reserved value
    e) select the check box for "distributed polling".
    f) the query will be appended with "For update NoWait."
    g)click next and then finish.
    4) Then i followed the below steps.
    To enable pessimistic locking, run through the wizard once to create an inbound polling query. In the Applications Navigator window, expand Application Sources, then TopLink, and click TopLink Mappings. In the Structure window, click the table name. In Diagram View, click the following tabs: TopLink Mappings, Queries, Named Queries, Options; then the Advanced… button, and then Pessimistic Locking and Acquire Locks. You see the message, "Set Refresh Identity Map Results?" If a query uses pessimistic locking, it must refresh the identity map results. Click OK when you see the message, "Would you like us to set Refresh Identity Map Results and Refresh Remote Identity Map Results to true?Ó Run the wizard again to regenerate everything. In the new toplink_mappings.xml file, you see something like this for the query: <lock-mode>1</lock-mode>.
    5) lock-mose is not changed to 1 in toplink_mappingss.xml
    Can we edit the toplink_mappings.xml manually.
    If yes, what allt he values Ineed to change in toplink_mappings.xml file, so that it will not pick the same record for the multiple times in clustered environment.
    Please help me out this is urgent.
    Thanking you in advance.
