Instrumental versions falsely matched with non-instrumental versions. Force iTunes not to match?
I have an album from coldplay with instrumentals that I imported into iTunes.
iTunes matched some songs and others were uploaded.
But when I listen to the album on my phone, the matched songs are actually the non-instrumental ones.
Is there a way to force iTunes to upload a Song and not match it?
Thanks. Though this is as unsatisfying as the way to get music videos from my mac to my iphone.
- deactivate Match
- sync video
- reactivate match.
for every single video...
Found an answer descring how you can trick itunes into uploading the file that was actually not the one it tried to match.

I have an iMac G5 (2005) and I cannot download the new version of iTunes as I do't have an Intel based Mac, therefore, I cannot connect my iPhone 4 to iTunes after upgrading to iOS 6. How can I remove iOS 6 from the iPhone to run iOS 5 again or actually get my Mac to run the new version of iTunes?
Any helpful hints would be good.
ThanksYou're in a bit of a pickle there...Apple does not support downgrading software, so there's no official way to do so, & since you have a Power PC Mac, you can't run Snow Leopard, which is required in order to run iTunes 10.7. So, either purchase a new computer or sync your phone with iCloud from now on.

HT1923 Trouble with newest version of iTunes not updating properly
I tried updating to the newest version of iTunes because I received the Apple Software Update for it. It wouldn't install properly, so I manually installed the newest version. When I tried to open iTunes I received an error message: "APSDaemon.exe - System Error; MSVCR80.dll not found, try reinstalling the software". So I clicked okay and received an error message the iTunes was not installed properly, try reinstalling. Then I uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled it, but received the same error messages about 2/3 of the way through reinstalling. Now iTunes won't install at all. I went to the support page and got the instructions for removing and reinstalling iTunes on Windows 7, but I can't finish the removing steps because Apple Mobile Device Support will not uninstall at all. My husband is having the same issue on his computer. Is this a known issue with the new version of iTunes for windows? How do we fix it now? We really need iTunes on the computers to sync with our phones, iPod, and iPad. Any help would be appreciated...should I contact apple support directly?
Update - I was able to finally uninstall the Apple Mobile Device Support component and the rest of the components. I was not able to delete the common files/Apple folder when checking to make sure all the components were removed; however, I think that is because I have an Apple AirPort WiFi Device. Anyway, the newest version of iTunes did install on my computer after following these instructions. So I believe my issue is resolved. We will see...

I have a problem with the latest version of itunes not responding when i open it.
Every time i open itunes on my PC i cant do any thing and have to use task manager to close it as it keeps not responding
Thanks but I had already read this, and it was no help at all. Under the Summary tab, "Options", there is no check-box to manually manage my stuff. I suspect this is because it is a 2nd gen iPod, with ONLY manual management. The only way to delete my stuff seems to be to reset the entire device.
I like to listen to podcasts. What is particularly frustrating is that the 4th gen shuffle CANNOT play podcasts, but ONLY music, which I discovered after a lot of research and multiple visits to an Apple store. So I have to resort to an older version of the shuffle to play podcasts And now with the latest version of iTunes there seems to be no way to delete any podcasts on the older version. Apple just makes it harder and harder for us podcast-lovers, driving us away from Apple -- driving me away from the entire brand and from ALL Apple devices, not just iPod. -

New version of iTunes not working with itunes library
I installed the new iTunes 8.0 and now when I try to open iTunes, I get an error message--"the file itunes library.itl cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of iTunes." What does that mean, how can i make iTunes work with my new Nano?
I have I tunes on both the laptop with WindowsXP and on the
newly acquired Desktop, HP Q 8200 with Vista 64.
For the latter I have downloaded the latest recommended
version for Vista64, but even though I can see the imported
and saved ( on an external hard drive) play list I can not
play them. When I click on them on this new Vista 64
empowered Desktop, nothing happens. When I click on
Beethoven folder ( which contains many creations by
composer) I can see nothing in the right panel regarding
the overture, for example.
On the laptop I have exactly the same play list and all
works fine there.
Audio is OK, because when I go to the I-tunes store with
the desktop, I can listen to the songs.
Any solutions???? -

Playlists from an older version of iTunes not working in iTunes 9
Im trying to transfer my itunes music from my external hard drive onto my new computer. My previous computer was running an older version of itunes, and when i try to transfer the music over from that hard drive (i simply move the whole itunes folder onto the new computer), the playlists dont make it, but the music does. How do I get the playlists from an older version of itunes into itunes 9?
Go to iTunes>File>Devices>Transfer iTunes purchases
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iOS device or iPod to a computer
For non-Tunes purchases you need a third-party program. The following list some of those

Latest version of iTunes not recognizing my iPhone 4sprevious
I downloaded the latest version of iTunes on my laptop today and since then my iPhone 4s has not been recognized, but it was showing up just before I downloaded the new iTunes. What can I do to fix this? Or is there a way to download they previous iTunes?
Yes. I just solved the problem on my PC. Here goes...
Issue: My Windows7 computer was producing the pop up box with the error text as you described.
The Problem: You have another application on your computer that uses the like named .DLL file... in this case a DLL supporting SQLite on your local PC.
Solution:
1. You need to use the Windows File search feature to look for the name "SQLite". This will quickly locate the offending DLL in the other application.
2. Decide which program you like the most, in my case "Mobile Me", and uninstall the offending application.
3. Uninstall Mobile Me.
4. Restart your PC.
5. Reinstall Mobile Me.
6. Mobile Me should sync at this point, but if not, restart the PC once again.
In my case, the offending program was my Aptana Studio development application. I had recently the SQLite3 database to my Ruby On Rails configuration...
This is where the file was located:
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Aptana Studio 2.0\plugins\com.aptana.radrails.sqlite3.win32_3.5.7.1278709071\vendor\SQLite3.d ll
I hope this helps,

Changes made using "old" version of iTunes not showing up
A colleague uploaded new thumbnails and created new courses in an old version of iTunes. When I go on our page – using the current version of iTunes - none of the changes are reflected. When I log in as the administrator, I now see it in the “old” version (I used to see the current version/configuration) and all the changes are there. We made these edits a few weeks ago. Any ideas how to fix this?
Not on the computer.
If you are logged in to the same account on the phone, you can go through the music and app store to download purchased content directly. -

New version of Itunes not working.
I installed the newest version of itunes and not it will not work. It opens but then I get the blue circle showing that it is thinking. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times and that doesn't work. I have tried installing older versions of itunes but it tells me there is an error because my playlist was created in a newer version. I am at a loss. I just got an ipad and want to work seamlessly like it is supposed to but I am stuck. Please help me!
ChemmertAre you talking about iTunes for the computer or an iOS update for the iPod? If an update for the iPod and you are getting a network timeout error, then disable the computer's securityt softwre during the download or update.
If that is not your problem, please provide more information. -

I recently updated from Windows 8 to 8.1. Now I can't sync my iPhone 5. I have the latest version of iTunes and my phone is updated as well. It worked fine with Windows 8. Now iTunes doesn't show my phone when it's connected. My computer does recognize that my phone is connected. Is there a fix for Windows 8.1?
these are common problems with windows 8.1 and you can point the fault at MS not iTunes
