Integrate intelliJ 4.0 with weblogic 7.0

hi gurus:
I tried to debug ejb or data access objects in wls inside intelliJ IDEA IDE
ver 4.0. But because our application has customized config file and classloader,
based on integration docs on intelliJ website I was unable to integrate wls and
intelliJ. I'm wondering any of you has similar experience? I greatly appreicate
any suggestion. The restarting weblogic server is just way slow for debugging.
ying

Thanks a lot for your replay.I do agree with your statement.
But I am assigned to do this task. All I know is, it is possible to deploy an application in JBoss using Websphere Application developer.

  • Integrate iPlanet Web server with Weblogic 6.0?

    Hi
    Like to find out if there is any way I can integrate iPlanet Web Server,
    Enterprise Edition to Weblogic 6.0 sp2 . Is there anyway iPlanet could
    intergate with Weblogic security realm? Basicly I need to find you if
    iPlanet could use Webloigc for security authantication?
    thanks
    Tong Kiat

    Refer to Weblogic documentation on iPlanet proxy pluging settings

  • How to integrate Oracle Http Server with Weblogic

    Weblogic supports Apache web server 2.0 and 2.2 to be a proxy server. Oracle Http Server (OHS) is based on Apache 2.0. I am trying to configure Weblogic to use OHS that comes with OAS install as proxy on Linux environment. I am unable to get the WLS plugin for Apache to work with OHS. When I tried to start the OHS, I got the following errors:
    /oracle/product/10.1.3.1/OracleAS_3/Apache/Apache/bin/apachectl startssl: execing httpd
    Syntax error on line 1125 of /oracle/product/10.1.3.1/OracleAS_3/Apache/Apache/conf/httpd.conf:
    Cannot load /oracle/product/10.1.3.1/OracleAS_3/Apache/Apache/libexec/mod_wl128_20.so into server: /oracle/product/10.1.3.1/OracleAS_3/Apache/Apache/libexec/mod_wl128_20.so: undefined symbol: apr_pool_cleanup_null
    I checked the library, and I found in several places, such as /usr/lib.
    The following is the configuration that I put in http.conf file:
    <IfModule mod_weblogic.c>
    WebLogicCluster 127.0.0.1:7001
    MatchExpression /AIP
    </IfModule>
    <Location /weblogic>
    SetHandler weblogic-handler
    WebLogicCluster 127.0.0.1:7001
    DebugConfigInfo ON
    PathTrim /weblogic
    </Location>
    Anybody knows how to fix this?
    Thanks.

    You're right: Weblogic supports Apache web server 2.0 and 2.2 to be a proxy server but you are using Oracle Application Server 10.1.3.1.0 which is based on Apache *1.3* as you can read in "Oracle® HTTP Server Administrator's Guide"
    10g (10.1.3.1.0) - Part Number B28948-01 - 1.1 Oracle HTTP Server Features, right under "Based on Apache - HTTP v1.1 Support" at
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B31017_01/web.1013/b28948/overview.htm#i1008837.
    As far as I know, the only OHS based on Apache *2.0* is available as a standalone release: "Oracle HTTP Server (Apache 2.0) (10.1.3.3.0) for Linux x86" - 32bit. You can download it from http://www.oracle.com/technology/software/products/database/oracle11g/111060_linuxsoft.html (as_101330_apache2_lnx.zip).
    I've tested it successfully.

  • Problem integrating JProbe 4.0 with Weblogic 4.5.1

    I'm trying to integrate JProbe 4.0 with Weblogic 4.5.1. JProbe
    doesn't provide an integration for this version of Weblogic so I have
    to do the set up by hand. We are running Weblogic with a 1.3 JVM on
    Solaris.
    First problem is that the JVM we were using wasn't supported by
    JProbe. So I swapped to a different version. The application,
    consisting of about 150 EJBs plus JSPs and Servlets works fine with
    this JVM. When I run with JProbe, JProbe waits for the console
    connection then Weblogic starts. About half way through deploying all
    the EJBs the application stops. I've done a thread dump and it
    doesn't seem to be a deadlock. Looking at the JProbe console I can
    see that objects are getting allocated and GC'd in the typical saw
    tooth fashion indicating that things are still running. I've waited
    15 minutes but the application does not progress beyond this point.
    Any got any ideas about this or tips as to how I can debug things
    further?

    David

    Hi David,
    You could try to turn off memory debugging along with
    putting the debug environment into a big fat box. With
    memory debugging on JProbe is slooooow...

  • How to integrate Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse with Weblogic Portal

    Hi
    I am following this documentation http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15919_01/wlp.1032/e14252/setup_dev_env.htm#i1013214
    to setup my development environment for developing portal applications, but I cannot set it up, my eclipse does not have PORTAL perspective.
    I have downloaded the Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse 11gR1 (11.1.1.5) and the Oracle WebLogic Portal 10.3 as mentioned in the documentation.
    The Oracle Weblogic Portal 10.3 includes a workshop version of eclipse, but that is not based on a recent Eclipse, that is why I would like to use the Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse 11gR1 (11.1.1.5).
    It is weird int he Oracle Portal 10.3 installation that I cannot install the Weblogic Portal without the Workshop.
    Could you help me in this? How can I integrate the Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse with Weblogic Portal?
    Thank you.

    For WebLogic Portal tooling you have a couple of options. For WebLogic Portal 10.3 and older, Workshop for WebLogic will be your tooling environment.
    Starting in WebLogic Portal 10.3.2, which released this year, the development tools have migrated to Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse. The WebLogic Portal 10.3.2 installer will install both the runtime and the IDE configured with additional WebLogic Portal Eclipse features (Portal Project Configuration, Perspecitives, Palettes, Deployment, etc).
    If you are interest in the latest version, you can download from the WebLogic Portal OTN page - http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/weblogic/portal/index.html

  • I would like to integrate JAAS with Weblogic 8

    Hi,
    I would like to integrate JAAS with Weblogic 8, but I noticed that BEA%u2019s documentation on JAAS doesn't make it clear whether Weblogic uses a non-standard way of invoking JAAS. Can I suggest someone at BEA post a clear example on how to integrate JAAS with weblogic 8.1?
    Any help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ana

    Hi Ana,
    I'm not understanding what you're trying to do:
    a) write a fat client that uses JAAS to login to a WLS server?
    If so, you should read the weblogic JAAS documentation for fat clients.
    Basically, the fat client should use the JAAS login module supplied by
    WLS that does a login to the server over the wire under the covers
    (vs. writing your own login module). The server will use its
    configured
    atn providers to complete the login.
    b) Write application code that runs inside WLS (e.g. a servlet) that uses
    JAAS to log into another WLS server?
    Similar to (a) above
    c) Customize how a WLS server logs in users - ie. write a
    login module that WLS will use whenever it needs to login
    a user?
    If so, you should read the weblogic documentation on how
    to write security providers and start from the sample security
    providers on the dev2dev center.
    Basically, you need to write an authentication provider. Part
    of writing an authentication provider is writing a login module.

  • JBuiler5Enterprise integrate with WebLogic 6 sp2 Problem?

    When I configed finished ,but I cannot use the JBuilder5 to webrum using the WebLogic

    The below is the error message:
    Problem Unable to open location: Could not connect to: http://192.168.199.200:7001/servlet1

    In the weblogic console, for the server in question, there is an option
    called:
    WebLogic Plugin Enabled.
    That will allow you to retrieve the client's IP.

  • Enabling SSO with Weblogic Server

    Hi,
    Can someone please forward some documention on enabling SSO with Weblogic server for different applications using the admin console.
    Is enabling SSO only possible programmatically??
    Is there an external server amongst the Weblogic Platform that maintains this SSO information??
    Regards,
    Mukta

    Pradeep,
    Here are some questions for you.
    1. what version of Weblogic App Server you are using?
    2. Is it a weblogic Portal or a Java application deployed
       on a Weblogic App Server?
    3. You have mentioned that the users are stored in a table. Is it a database table ?
    Anyway see the following link as a starting point?
    http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs81/jconnector/security.html#1216783
    If the customer has lot of other web applications that they want to integrate you can look at third party authentication solutions (Ex: Siteminder). But if it is a few or limited applications then custom solution would be more appropriate from the cost perspective.
    Hope this can be a starting point.

  • IBM Cognos 8 BI Integration with Weblogic portal

    Hi,
    In our project we need to integrate IBM Cognos 8 BI portlets with Weblogic portal 10.3.
    1. How to integrate Cognos ?
    2. How to enable SSO between Portals & Cognos? Cognos should use the portal users credentials for authentication
    Please share me some useful links and sample code to proceed.
    Thanks & regards,
    Rajesh

    Basically I am saying that your options are
    1. Screenscraping the apps into portlets
    2. Using SSO to login to the apps, but keepin them separate
    3. Using Web Services to consume parts of the apps and exposing those as portlets
    For our application we do 2 and 3. In many cases we just create portlets that represents views into other j2ee apps. When the users click on something, we launch the j2ee app in a popup browser. The users are already signed on, and taken to a specific detail page, add page or something within the app directly.
    Hope this helps.

  • Cannot integrate BPM Standalone 10g with OSB 10g

    I integrate the BPM 10g with OSB 10g following the steps of integrating BPM and ALSB - BPM 10.3 Configuration Guide(http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/config_guide/index.html)
    I can create Process Registration Configuration and Management Host.
    I select the item name created by me in the dropdownlist of Registration Configuration.
    However, when I click the button of Register, it shows error: You must select at least one item from the list.
    But in the OSB, I can find the folders which are created with the managment host.
    Where is the list?

    Hi Daniel Atwood:
    I use BPM standalone 10g and BPM studio 10g. I also extend the weblogic domain to include the OSB, ADF, and workshop lib.
    I check all projects in BPM standalone and they are completely deployed. I set the steps are publishing projects after it is deployed. I redeploy and republish projects which are created in BPM studio. But the Service registration status table is still blank.
    In BPM studio 10g, I create the osb management host, osb process registration, and osb proxy server configurations under the external resources. The osb struct (project, wsdl, xsd, business service) can be created in studio.
    Then, I click the icon of OSB registration. In the dialogue, after I click the button of register or update, it shows that: Operation ignored since no services have been selected
    What server should I create ? Should I create a proxy server in OSB first?
    Thanks

  • QUESTION Re. Integrating TIBCO EMS with Weblogic 8.1 using MDB

    Hi All,
              I am trying to integrate TIBCO EMS 4.3.0 with Weblogic 8.1 SP6.
              I have created a topic "SIMPLE.TOPIC" on the EMS. I have configured the Foreign JMS Server as follows:
              Name: TIBCO JMSServer
              JNDI Initial Context Factory:com.tibco.tibjms.naming.TibjmsInitialContextFactory
              JNDI Connection URL:tibjmsnaming://emshost:emsport
              I have configured the connection factory as follows:
              Name: TIBCO JMSTopicConnectionFactory
              Local JNDI Name: TopicConnectionFactory.Local
              Remote JNDI Name:TopicConnectionFactory
              User Name:username to connect to EMS server
              Password::pssword to connect to EMS server
              My JMS destination is configured as follows:
              Name: Tibco JMS Destination
              Local JNDI Name:SIMPLE.TOPIC.LOCAL
              Remote JNDI Name:SIMPLE.TOPIC
              My weblogic-ejb-jar.xml consists of the following code:
                        <weblogic-ejb-jar>
                <weblogic-enterprise-bean>
                  <ejb-name>SimpleTopicListener</ejb-name>
                  <message-driven-descriptor>
                    <pool>
                      <max-beans-in-free-pool>200</max-beans-in-free-pool>
                      <initial-beans-in-free-pool>20</initial-beans-in-free-pool>
                    </pool>
                    <destination-jndi-name>SIMPLE.TOPIC</destination-jndi-name>
                   <connection-factory-jndi-name>TopicConnectionFactory</connection-factory-jndi-name>
                  </message-driven-descriptor>
                  <enable-call-by-reference>True</enable-call-by-reference>
                </weblogic-enterprise-bean>
              </weblogic-ejb-jar>
                                  The problem is, when I try to deploy this mdb, I get the following error:
              The Message-Driven EJB attempted to connect to the JMS destination with the JNDI name: SIMPLE.TOPIC. However, the object with the JNDI name: SIMPLE.TOPIC is not a JMS destination, or the destination found was of the wrong type (Topic or Queue).
              I have checked and double checked to make sure that the topic SIMPLE.TOPIC does exist on the EMS server.
              Does anyone know what is the issue here and how to resolve it?
              Many thanks!
              -Kinshuk
              Edited by kinshukk at 05/14/2007 8:35 AM

    (1) Check the standard ejb jar and make sure you've specified a topic destination type (the default is queue). For details, you can reference the WebLogic 9.0 MDB developer guide (the MDB dev guide was revised in 9.0 to include more detail than the 8.1 guide). Also, you might want to take a look at our integration/interop FAQ (again for 9.0 or later).
              (2) Change the weblogic-ejb-jar to reference the foreign local JNDI names - not the remote JNDI names.
              (3) Be careful about using the "." and "/" characters in local JNDI names - these have side-effects in JNDI (they force creation of subcontexts).
