I get the following exception
javax.faces.el.EvaluationException: Expression Error: Named Object: 'studentService' not found.
Any pointers as to why does this error occur would be great help.

Seems liek it can't figure out which class to instantiate?
    Please help.

I've used the spring integration but I have not encountered this issue.
It looks to me like Spring is giving out a proxy implementation that cannot be used in place of the actual class. Some things you might want to try:
    1) Configure Spring to create the bean upon initialization instead of waiting for it to be used.
    2) Remove any aspect-oriented configuration from the spring bean (including transaction support) to see if that makes a difference.
    3) Consider the possibility of a class loading conflict, i.e. was the spring container loaded by a different class loader than the one for the web application?
Finally I would consider posting this on the forums at springframework.org.

  • JSF/Tiles/Spring Integration Problem

    Hi,
I have a JSF based web application, which uses Struts Tiles framework through the view-handler "org.apache.myfaces.tomahawk.application.jsp.JspTi lesViewHandlerImpl". Appreciate any help in this regard.
    Thanks

I'm assuming that since you are using JSF and Tiles, you are not using Spring's web framework. In that case, the integration of Spring with JSF is relatively trivial and you can neglect it for now. You might want to try the link below, if you are feeling lucky:

How are you planning to integrate Spring and Coherence? (The link shows an example for configuring Coherence with write-behind)
Do you plan to use Coherence as a second-level cache for a particular persistence framework?
At the end of this post (http://middlewaremagic.com/weblogic/?p=5407) Coherence is used as a second-level cache for
Hibernate in which Spring is used to configure the Hibernate set-up.

  • ADF Rich Faces with Spring WebFlow in other application servers

I am evaluating various JSF based UI technologies (Tomahawk, Tobago, Trinidad, RichFaces, IceFaces, ADF Faces) and after having a look at demos came to conclusion that ADF Faces is quite better than rest. But i have a few concerns for ADF Faces:
    1. How well it integrates with Spring WebFlow? Does it provide any AJAX handlers for spring (spring provides AJAX handlers for RichFaces out of the box)? If Yes then is there any documentation for that?
    2. Can it integrate with other frameworks like RichFaces? If Yes then is there any documentation for that?
    3. Can it work with other application servers like JBoss, Websphere, etc? If Yes then is there any documentation for that?

    1. How well it integrates with Spring WebFlow? Does it provide any AJAX handlers for spring (spring provides AJAX handlers for RichFaces out of the box? If Yes then is there any documentation for that?
--> Spring Web flow is not supported. No ajax handlers for spring. But you do have built in ajax functionality.
    2. Can it integrate with other frameworks like RichFaces? If Yes then is there any documentation for that?
--> Yes can be integrated but not supported hence no documentation.
    3. Can it work with other application servers like JBoss, Websphere, etc? If Yes then is there any documentation for that?
--> Technically it can. WebSphere was supported as of ADF 10g. When 11g was released it was supported but now it might be. There are various posts in the forum on tomcat & jboss integration. Though not easy can be achieved.
Another thing to note is ADF Faces is not open source. You get it bundled with Weblogic App server. Where as all other component libraries you mentioned are open source.

Can someone please help me here, to figure out whats wrong I'm doing or if I' m missing anything which causing this error?
    (Thanks in adv).

My understanding of exception stack trace is that the two class loader are unable to match the argument type org/springframework/core/io/Resource in original method and its overridden method. And original method class loader and overridden method class loader are different.
This normally happens due to class clashes.

  • RPC Calls to Java with Spring

    Hi,
I have a java J2ee project, with spring integrated. I have
set up the project so that I can make calls from flex mxml files to
spring managed objects. This works as expected.
My project deploys so that I have the following folder and
    file hierarchy.
MyProj (folder) - MortgageCalc.mxml file (this contains code
    to make the remote calls)
    |- Web-INF
    |- classes (compiled Java classes)
    |- flex (containing my services-config, remoting-config)
    |- lib (all my jars)
My MortgageCalc.mxml file is very simple; it looks like this
    <mx:Application xmlns:mx="
    http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml">
    <mx:RemoteObject id="ro"
    destination="mortgageService"/>
    <mx:TextInput id="amount"/>
    <mx:Button label="Calculate"
    click="ro.calculate(Number(amount.text))"/>
    <mx:TextInput id="monthlyPayment"
    text="{ro.calculate.lastResult}"/>
    </mx:Application>
    MyProj sits under tomcat/webapps.
What I would like to do is move my flex code into a new
folder under tomcat, as a separate web app.
    So my set-up would be
tomcat/webapps/MyProj (containing all my Java code)
    tomcat/webapps/MyFlexApp (with my flex app)
I have tried and failed, I get the following error message :
    [RPC Fault faultString="[MessagingError message='Unknown
    destination 'mortgageService'.']" faultCode="InvokeFailed"
faultDetail="Couldn't establish a connection to 'mortgageService'"]
I have very crudely just copied over the Web-INF/flex folder
into MyFlexApp , crossed my fingers and hoped. Can somebody let me
know what folders belong where to get this working? Or if it's even
possible at all? Or maybe I need to change services-config, or
    remoting-config?
    Thanks,
    Matt

If you are invoking bat files from your bat file without using call that would explain it

Is there any documentation on Coherence with Spring Web FlowHi,
I do not know if there is direct integration between them out-of-the-box, but you can write an adapter which enables you to store conversation state directly in Coherence. You would need to implement Spring Web Flow's ConversationManager interface.
On the other hand, Spring Web Flow does have a ConversationManager (org.springframework.webflow.conversation.impl.SessionBindingConversationManager) putting conversations into the HTTP session, and Coherence has the Coherence*Web feature out-of-the-box, which allows storing HTTP sessions within Coherence, which should achieve the same purpose, although I am not sure how optimal that approach would be compared to the additional capabilities direct integration provides.
    Best regards,

I am fed up with Spring and Apple passing me off to one another and neither will fix the problem. I am unable to receive a connection on my phone.
The internet goes out and I have to reset network setting each and every time. This is only a temporary solution which by the time I release the line with Spring or leave the apple store the issue is back. Sprint indicates that it is a know issue with the Iphone 5 and apple says it is a network issue as Sprint's network is not up to par with the Iphone and can not meet the expectations on the Iphone 5.
I have attached a few picture, as you can see it clearly says I have 5 bars and 3g available but I have no connections what so ever.
This issue affects all data and so I can not send or receive picture messages, use apps, or access the internet. The data goes in and out intermittently and it seems the phone chooses what I can and can't do.
For example I can watch Youtube or Vevo videos but I can not access Facebook or Instagram.
Is anyone else having this issue?
I will soon loose my patience....
I have reset my phone three time and have reset network and other setting mutltiple times.

  • How do I use toplink with Spring 2.5 and oc4j 10.1.2?

Our existing java server environment is limited to Oc4j 10.1.2 due to being tied to Oracle Forms.
We've added a java 6 jdk to the machine and linked it to a specific container to examine some newer java features since this version of the application server only comes with java 1.4.2.
Does anyone have some configuration steps for getting toplink essentials and spring to work with oc4j 10.1.2? Even with oc4j 10.1.3 in jdev 10.1.3.4 I'm having problems trying to figure out what needs placed in the persistence.xml file verses what needs placed in the spring-beans.xml file.
I'm trying to either use the J2SE option of keeping the connection information in the persistence.xml file (which doesn't work) - it tries to connect to //localhost:1521/orcl. If I try to define a datasource within Spring's xml file, I'm not sure how to tie that into the persistence.xml file. Could I use the oc4j 10.1.2 container provided datasource?
It seems like I'm at a loss as to how to get this working. If you'd like me to post some files, I can do that later on today when I get back to work.
The configuration that I'm trying to do is based on a modified workspace from an ibm developerworks article with websphere, mixing in the ideas from a JPA with Spring 2.0 article from Mike Keith and Rod Johnson. (That article goes pretty far in the configuration information but never provided an example to download...)
    Any help appreciated.
    Eric (hbg, pa)

I'm still at a loss with this. Rather than worry about the older version, for now, I just want to see JPA in action. So, I've decided on just running the Spring 2.5.6 petclinic example out of the samples folder. When I try to do this, after only tweaking the web.xml to use the applicationContext-jpa.xml file, the application does not initialize properly. Here's the stack trace I get:

  • ALE/IDOC and RFC/BAPI Integration Scenarios with SAP DS for ESA v3

    Hi,
we are planning two PoCs of Integration Plattforms. One of our major requirement set is SAP Integration into our existing SOA.
Because we also have R/3 4.7 Systems in production, we are planning to test ALE/IDOC and RFC/BAPI Integration scenarios with these Integration Plattforms.
    My question is:
We are looking for are smart solution to get a SAP Test Environment, where we can test ALE/IDOC und RFC/BAPI Integration scenarios.
It is possible to do this with SAP DS for ESA v3 or shall we better use IDES for that purpose?
    Best regards,
    Steven

    Hi Abhishek,
This is our scenario. We are doing an integration of SAP HR r/3 system with the CRM system. We need housing information details of the employees which we have in custom infotype 9310 in SAP HR system and we need those details in the CRM system. So am planning out for an ALE/IDOC approach for the integration and gonna  maintain the 9310 details in a custom table. In the CRM system, we gonna build a BOL layer for accessing the 9310 details. Also i'm preparing a HLD for this process. I wanna read and go through few same HLD's before i submit my proposal to my client. Please suggest me and help me out.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Arunmozhi.
