Integration of icefaces in jdev 11gTP2

Hi,
I want to know if it is possible to integrate icefaces with TP2 or any other framework
Thanks

Hello Mourado,
Yes it should be possible. However, take note that JDeveloper 11 is a JSF 1.2 environment and ICEFaces requires some hacking to work under JSF 1.2, see http://www.icefaces.org/docs/v1_6_0/htmlguide/gettingstarted/configuring_other4.html#1021196.

  • Integrating Jakarta taglibs in Jdev 9.0.4 (other than JSTL)

    Hello --
I'm having difficulty getting the magic spell for proper integration of Jakarta taglibs other than the JSTL taglibs to work.
I've gone into Tools->Manage Libraries->Jsp Libraries and created a new Jsp library based on the .tld file / archive file / and uri, and assigned a prefix, but I can't use it.
If I create a workspace from a WAR for something like 'application-examples.war' from the Jakarta site, when I try and compile the example page, I get a "Attribute 'xmlns:xalan' is used but not declared."
and Jdev is unable to load the taghandler class.
Has anyone had any luck getting these taglibs to integrate properly?
    Thanks,
    Donn

Ok, now I'm going nuts. I can't get JSTL working either -- have tried with the <taglib> directive in web.xml, and without, have tried with registering the libraries in the JSP tab and not registering, and with the .tld files in the lib directory and not.
    Any successes out there?

  • How to configure SOA in Integrated WLS Server for JDEV 11.1.1.1.0

    Hi,
I am trying to deploy a SOA Application but it says No SOA Configured targets found. How can I configure SOA on Integrated Weblogic Server in JDeveloper.
    Thanks

Okay, so the Admin server controls the connection. Is there a screen that shows this? My JDev is reporting that the soa server does not exist, though the WebLogic administrator shows that it's there.
I have checked the AdminServer.log and the soa_server1.log files and found nothing that would indicate an error. I also noticed there is something called a Work Manager. wm/SOAWorkManager This guy is pointing to just the soa server.

    Hello Carla,
The link indicated by Philipp just move to this URL
    http://otn.oracle.com/products/reports/htdocs/getstart/GettingStarted/index/index.html. (Sorry for that)
Watch the Reports/JDev integration viewlets in the demonstration section.
To be able to execute a Reports JSP from JDev you should be in the JDeveloper of the 9iDS. (9i Developer Suite). You can also check you Jdev 'Run' property to check if the Embeded OC4J server starts with all IIOP parameter. (FYI:a Reports JSP communicate with the Reports Server using Corba)
    1. Right click on you project in the system navigator
    2. Choose 'Project Setting'
    3. In the Runner Entry you should have a Java option like :
    -Dorg.omg.CORBA.ORBClass=com.inprise.vbroker.orb.ORB -Dorg.omg.CORBA.ORBSingletonClass=com.inprise.vbroker.orb.ORB
(This option is automaticaly added if you select New, Reports JSP from JDeveloper)

  • How to install ADF Desktop Integrator on mac (using jdev 11.1.2.1.0)

    Hi Everyone,
I got a requirement for my client where they want to use microsoft excel to upload/edit/delete content of one of our ADF application data and we are thinking of using ADF Desktop Integrator option for achieving this. I tried to install ADF Desktop Integrator from my Jdeveloper->Tools->'Install ADF Desktop Integrator' but this option got disabled on my mac. Is there any way to enable it or is it mac not compatible for ADF desktop integrator tool? Also most of my client team members are using mac and hence I cannot ignore mac option and switch to pc.
Any help or suggestions on this would be very help and appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Ravi N

    Hi.
ADF Desktop integration relies on Microsoft .NET and Microsoft Internet Explorer; both are available on Windows only. Thus, ADF Desktop Integration is not available on Apple OS X.

  • Bpel process manager server failed thru JDEV-10.1.3.4

    All,
    soa Version: 10.1.3.4
I created application server successfully, but when i try to create integration server from jdev I got the error as bpel process manager server failed. I checked my DB is up, as some blog says hw_services should be up(i made it up), but still I couldn't create the integration server!!
What could be the other issues?
    thanks
    sen

    Hi',
When you are making the Integration server connection in Jdev, in step 2 use port 80, it is by default 8080, this worked for me before, give it a try.

  • ADF 11g: Desktop Integrator- Export to Excel issue

    Hi,
    We are using ADF 11g.
In our application we have one feature where end users can download data in excel format from our web application.
To export data to excel file, users need to click Export to Excel button. But after deployment of code to standalone WLS 11g we are facing following issue with this functionality:
To export data to excel file we have to keep pressing control key through out the operation
If we don't do so it does not downloads the file.
We want the file should be downloaded as soon as user clicks Export to Excel button. (We don't want users to keep pressing control key through this process)
Please help on this how to achieve this.
    Thanks and Regards
    Manav Ratra

    Hi Shay,
I implemented this functionality following Franks blog on export data to excel.
Ya in your application we are able to export to excel without holding control Key.
The same is happening in our case if we run application using integrated WLS 11g on JDev 11.1.1.3
but after hosting the application on standalone WLS 11g. We need to hold control key. :|
Are there any properties which we need to set to avoid this.
    here is code :
    *<af:commandButton text="Export to Excel"*
    *binding="#{backing_Rates.btn_Export}"*
    *id="btn_Export" inlineStyle="width:150.0px;"*
*shortDesc="Click to Save table in excel sheet">*
    *<af:exportCollectionActionListener exportedId="pctbl:t1"*
    *type="excelHTML"*
    *filename="#{backing_Rates.seName}_Rates.xls"*
    *title="Rates for - #{backing_Rates.seName} are:"/>*
    *</af:commandButton>*
    Please help.

  • What's the complete value of integrating BPA and BPEL?

    Hi all.
When I look at the original ARIS platform, honestly I don't see a tangible value in automating the BPEL geneation. The amount of BPEL code automatically generated is only the "less painfull step", something that I can quickly create by hand directly in JDeveloper BPEL Modeler by simply looking at the published business process from ARIS. The amount of time spent recreating what is generated is not relevant for many processes, and you have the flexibility of creating activities with your own naming conventions.
Now, when I look to 10.1.3.3 Oracle BPA, with its new features of generating BPEL code direcly in JDeveloper, I still don't see a great value there. Again, if I have a business process just published somewhere, I can look at it and easily construct the BPEL process by myself.
Having said that, I guess that all this effort from Oracle in providing integration between BPA and JDev, with a "shared blueprint" model has much more bussiness/techinical value than just generating BPEL buinding blocks. This is really what I need to understand. What are the complete value for having all this integration?
    Could be:
    Reverse engineering?
Closed loop between products, facilitating change management?
Can you guys provide me a clear statement listing all the capabilities/benefits of this new features?
    thanks
    Denis

This unique value-generating approach of having the shared metadata - Process Blueprint between the modeling and execution environments enables both business and IT to work off a shared process definition.
Automatic translation of business requirements in to BPEL processes: Once business decides that a process blueprint is ready for sharing, IT can access and edit it from within their environment. Rich process definitions get generated from the Blueprint promoting rapid and meaningful process automation and reducing the strategy to implementation gap by translating the business requirements directly in to almost ready to deploy BPEL process definitions.
Alignment of business model and IT process: The executable process is always in lock step with the business process model. Business users can create and change business models in the Oracle Business Process Analysis Suite while IT users can view and modify these processes in parallel using the Process Designer component of the Oracle SOA Suite.
Empowerment of both Business and IT: The Blueprint also supports bi-directional synching enabling both business and IT to work on the same process at the same time. Business level changes can automatically be merged with any changes done by the developers to ensure that the implemented process is inline with the expectations of the business users. Further, IT can make changes to the blueprint that then become visible to business users as proposals for improvement.

    Meera

  • Error with BC App Module Passivation

We are seeing an error when BC4J is trying to passivate an application module. It is attempting to persist its state to a databse. It works fine when deployed to the integrated WebLogic instance in JDev, and when deployed to a single standalone WebLogic instance. However, when deployed to a clustered environment, we see the following error, as though it is unable to fetch the name of the passivation table from the app module configuration.
    Partial stack trace:
oracle.jbo.PCollException: JBO-28030: Could not insert row into table null, collection id 303, persistent id 1

             <AM-Pooling jbo.dofailover="true"/>

             <Security AppModuleJndiName="test.MyAm"/>
             <Custom JDBCDataSource="java:comp/env/jdbc/MyDS"/>
</AppModuleConfig>Has anyone seen this issue before and/or have any insight as to what may be causing the problem?

Indeed I would expect the name of the table, PS_TXN, to be displayed in the message:
JBO-28030: Could not insert row into table PS_TXN, collection id 303, persistent id 1
Could you check the full stack trace to see if there is something relevant that would explain it ?
Could you also add the following Java properties to your project (in the Project Properties > Run/Debug/profile):
    -Djbo.debugoutput=console -Djbo.logging.show.function=true
and see if some errors preceding the JBO-28030 explain the issue ?

  • The missing ring between Designer and JDeveloper.

I'm a user of both Designer and JDeveloper and I found a difficulty in making both updated at once.
I would like to have something wich can help to map Designer table definitions to ADF entities but I still don't see anything usefull.
I hoped the integration between Desigern and JDev could help me, but it's based upon Modules and not upot tables and then is useless.
I looked for Jheadstart but it seems to have similar problems.
Is there any plan to fill the gap ?
Is there any viable soluntion already done ?

I am having the same issues as koloo, I am willing to provide any other debugging information that you may need.
    I am running Windows 7, 64 bit, 8gigs
Jdeveloper 11.1.1.2.0 the studio edition with embedded jdk
I can start the integrated appserver outside of jdev using the cmd script that is supplied but it fails to run if I kick it off from inside of jdeveloper.
