Integration of Oracle applications with IDM

Hi All,
Please trow some light on how do we integrate Oracle applications with Oracle IDM(Identity Management).
Is MRM capable of providing inbounding and outbounding webservices. If not do we have any adapters for integeating the other applications with IDM.
What is the good practice to integrate a BPEL service with IDM.
Thanks in advance.

  • Integration of Oracle Apex with EBS R12.1.1

    Dear All,
We are in process of integrating Oracle Apex 4.0.2 with EBS R12.1.1 with the help of http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/developer-tools/apex/apex-ebs-wp-cabot-consulting-169064.pdf.
After doing all the steps, the moment when we navigate from EBS application to Apex application by clicking on the EBS menu link it ends up with below error
    "404 Not Found
Resource /OA_HTML/null/pls/apex/f not found on this server"
After some analysis i found the below code in "LaunchApex.jsp" for getting the profile value (supposed to be 'http://myserver:port') from custom system profile "APEX_HTTP_SERVER" and prefixing to "/apex/f?p=applicationid:page::APPS:::" is not happening properly
    String l_launcher = ctx.getProfileStore().getProfile("APEX_HTTP_SERVER");
    l_launcher = l_launcher + "/apex/f?p=" + p_application + ":" + p_page;
    l_launcher = l_launcher + "::APPS:::" + p_item_names + ":" + p_item_values;
as we found that the custom system profile "APEX_HTTP_SERVER" not exist in EBS system. But it works without any page error if we hard code the entire apex application URL in l_launcher variable, but this takes us to EBS login page instead of Apex application page.
So i feel we can't bypass using profile value from "APEX_HTTP_SERVER" as it has some relation with EBS application session.
So could anyone please help me how we could create custom system profile "APEX_HTTP_SERVER" or any other options to make the seamless integration of Oracle apex with EBS works without any second login page
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
Create a profile under Application Developer Responsibility as follow:
    Name OAE_LAUNCHER
    Application <whatever>
User Profile Name Oracle Application Express Launcher
    Description Oracle Application Express Launcher
    2. Set above profile value under System Administrator Responsibility -> Profile -> System, and search for the ‘OAE_LAUNCHER’.
Set the value at Site Level as:
    http://<hostname>:<Apex port>/pls/apex
Then instead of hardcoding the URL in the jsp, just give the profile name OAE_LAUNCHER that you have just created in the jsp.
    Hope this helps you

  • Integrating Oracle Applications with Siteminder for SSO.

We currently have a Oracle Apps implementations with Oracle 9iAS as Application server. We are planning to integrate it in SSO using Netegrity Siteminder.
Please let me know your thoughts on the following
    1) Additional softwares or patches needed to be applied at Oracle Application Server level before integrating with Siteminder. Do we need to install Oracle SSO seprately or does it come as part of Oracle 9iAS.
    2) Also how will we implement SSO using siteminder without OID.
Any documents on it will help.

The Netegrity Siteminder Webagent will authenticate to some third party, probably the corporate LDAP. Using Oracle SSO (OSSO) is required and a java plugin needs to be customized. See:
    Oracle® Application Server Single Sign-On Administrator's Guide
    10g Release 2 (10.1.2) < I know different version but doesn't matter
    B14078-02
Specifically Chapter - 13 Integrating with Third-Party Access Management Systems. That is a minor task.
Loading OID is a prerequisite and needs to contain the users that will need access to the protected resources in the environment. If it's a small amount of users, manually maintaining OID may not be a big deal utilizing OIDDAS but if it is a large amount, then this effort is a big deal. Big deal meaning a load utilizing the bulkload utility and a custom job that syncronizes the "Corporate LDAP" with OID. Mapping is important. External dependancy with the "Corporate LDAP" folks.
Another couple of important things to consider:
    1. The seeded users in OID, such as orcladmin will most likely not be in the "Corporate LDAP" so once Netegrity Simplified Sign On (SSO) comes into play, those users are locked out. Orcladmin is a superuser in OIDDAS. For that reason, server administrators or DBA's that are in OID need to be granted OIDDAS privileges prior to enabling the Netegrity agent to prevent being locked out of that important but sensative tool. Disabling and re-enabling SSO is as simple as editing 2 config files and bouncing a few things though.
    2. The OIDDAS Password lockout policy will start locking users after 60 days with no warning unless changed. If oidadmin gets locked, the fix is Note:251354.1. Very important to change the policy since it will be handled by the "Corporate LDAP". Note:251354.1 covers this. Basically using the oidadmin utility, change the "Password Expiry Time" from the default 5184000 to zero "0" which turn off the policy.
The realms that should be protected on the Netegrity policy server are both infrastructure. 7777/oiddas and 7777/sso need to be protected realms on the policy server. If you have a protected application going to mid-tier applications like 7778/discoverer/viewer, they get redirected to the infrastructure 7777/sso because if the directive in mod_osso.conf. Forms will be protected by the 7777/sso realm as well. On the Netegrity Policy Server, unprotected sub-realms can be created under protected realms.
The custom java plugin tells Oracle to trust the "Corporate LDAP" for authentication but authorization can still be performed within OID.
This all sounds difficult but it is really simple. The only part than can get difficult and time consuming is the OID load. Hopefully you get Siteminder DAS access to administer your realms on the Policy server.
    Hope this helps! - Ron

  • Integrate Oracle Applications with local HTML DB to run APIs

    Hi,
Iam new to HTML DB. I have few questions in my mind to clarify.
Currently iam working on API testing in one of the Oracle Application module.
During the API testing we call some APIs(usually some packaged procedures) from SQL Plus and check for the business rules and print the results to the SQL terminal using dbms_output.put_line. We have several test cases and for each test case we execute an API from the backend.
Now after going thru the HTML DB forum i got an idea that i will develop a HTML page in my local HTML DB for all these test cases where i will select the test case that needs to be executed and run it and the results are published on the web page.
Question-1: Can i integrate my oracle apps with my local HTML DB so that i can call those APIs ? If yes, how can we do it ?
Question-2: Can i call my plsql procedures from the HTML DB on a button click ?
    Thanks,
    Raj.

  • INTEGRATION OF ORACLE APPS  WITH MOBILE SMS

    {color:#3366ff}Dear All,
I would like to Integrate the Oracle Apps with Mobile SMS,
    The Task is that..
" WHENEVER THE PURCHASE ORDER IS RELEASED BY A SENIOR PURCHASE MANAGER, THEN A SMS MESSAGE HAS TO COME TO HIS SENIOR MANAGERS MOBILE Phone "
Is it Possible to Integrate Oracle Apps with Mobile Phone if it is possible then send me the DEMO Application procedure.....................
    Please help me out..
    Regards,
    Vijay .

Sending an SMS is a relatively small customisation if you work with an SMS aggregator such as Clickatel or TXTLocal. Both expose simple Web Service api's that you call with the phone number and message text as parameters. The aggregator then hands the message off to the mobile phone network for delivery to a users phone. The aggregators also provide web services that allow you to be notified when they receive an SMS message for you. So if you wanted to be really smart you could allow the user to reply to the original SMS with "Approve" or "Reject" and update the status of the PO/requisition automatically and advance the workflow.

  • Integration of Oracle Workflow with OWB

    Hi,
I am using OWB 10gR2. Can you please give me some guidelines on integrating Oracle workflow with OWB? I have to deploy OWB schedules to Oracle Workflow.
    Thanks,
    Praveen

Keep in mind that these are really two different products.
First make sure you have installed workflow (2.6.3 for Oracle10gR1, 2.6.4 for Oracle10gR2 for the TARGET database).
Then create a connection to the workflow schema (default would be OWF_MGR). Then you can start creating your OWF packages using OWB and finally deploy your packages to the newly defined Workflow connection.
On a sadder note, OWF really blows. But that's just me.

    Hi,
The Primavera intergration works with the "Standard Intergration" of Oracle 11i & R12.1 with the version of P6, this is the statement was in by the market experts. Even I have not worked on this intergration part of primavera with Oracle. still, I can provide you some search engine links, which could help you in http://www.projectp.com/products/op3.php ; http://www.projectedconsulting.com/index.php/community/blog/2010/04/primavera-and-oracle-projects-integration/

    Hi Evrybody,
We are looking for relace our applications with Oracle Application (financial) and for our project if is very important to use client machines with Linux OS. Anybody have experience about it?
If yes, wich Linux is better for you?
    Best regards.

    HI,
We are also looking for Linux clients for Oracle Applications 11i.
Oracle announced once a Version based on a standard java, not an exclusively Windows-modified jinitiator.
We are thinking of getting an application server running Win2k and access it with terminal services from
Linux. It works but it is not ideal in terms of scalability and cost, as the MS stuff does not cluster.

  • Integrating existing Web application with Oracle Portal

    Hi,
I have an existing application which is purely written in servlets and which is in use for quite some time. I have a requirement now of moving this application onto the Oracle Portal.
I was just wondering if we have any quick meanse of doing this or we have to re develop from scratch in oracle Portal server(ByDefining page, Page templates..etc).
    Advance thanks for your help
    Thanks
    Sreedhar

What do you mean with "moving this application onto the Oracle Portal"?
The best expedite way is use in the portal a LINK that direct your users to the actual app.
Another quick thing you could do is use the IFRAME TAG (only works in IE). This way you can embed your app in Portal (show it in some area in portal)
    Then comes the complex things:
    - You can activate SSO to your applications ( which is not THAT difficult)
    - You can PORTLATIZATE your app, this doesn't means that you have to rewrite all, but still you need to write in a "Oracle Java Way" some thing to get it work..
You can see this link if you're using portal 10.1.2:

    Thanks In Advance..

    Hi,
I assume, i have already setup profile 'WMS: Label Print Mode' to Synchronous - TCP/IP.
Basically, you dont have to create any concurrent program for XML creation, Oracle will do it for you 'out of box'.
Also set 'WMS: Synchronous TCP/IP label request delay' to 100, this is a required step, though none of the documentation talks about it.
if you think that all the requests are not handled correctly, then you will need to increase this delay further.
Lastly, verify that the printer is setup correctly in Oracle (Place where you specify IP Address and port)
    Thanks,
    Hrishikesh
