Integration steps for Oracle entitlement server & R12 EBS
Hi,
Can anyone give me the steps to inegration Oracle entitlement server & R12 EBS
Hi,
As a quick test, can you check whether you are able to connect to that Oracle DB using sys?
If DB is in remote machine, please check the accessibility.
If you are still not able to do it with db config tool, you can try manually using the link

Oracle Entitlements Server - Training/Education Question
Is developer or administrator training available for Oracle Entitlements Server (formerly AquaLogic Enterprise Security)?
I was unable to find any training for this product.
If training is not available for this product then is there a timeframe when it would be available?
I did find a 1 day policy modeling course. I was more interested on product installation, administration, configuration and application integration (e.g. usage from WebLogic Portal or ALSB or ALDSP) tasks.
Thanks
Edited by: user651936 on Sep 28, 2008 11:00 AMMartin , i have some question about the product (you have my private contact if you can't answer with too much details)
Can we share oracle database with OES and other product like IDM or OIM? We have some issues with OIM and IDM in the same database we can't install in the same database because there are some requirement about NLS_LENGTH_SEMANTICS (OIM char, IDM byte)
About integration with OAM, is there some out of the box connector? Can we use only OES without OAM?
About provisioning users in OES repository, is there some integration out of the box with OIM?
About platform and application integration which is your experience about heterogenous enviroment (jboss, tomcat, oas, bea with and without apache in the front end, linux, solaris, and windows) and application already deployed in customer enviroment?

Oracle Entitlement Server 11g Exception issue need to be solved
Hi Friends,
Need your guidance and help to fix this exception of (oracle entitlement server 11 g).
please let me know the meaning of this error;
oracle.security.oes.OesException: OES-04004: Credential is not found for trust key store
got this error at the time when trying to execute : ./enroll.sh
Thank You ,
Regards,
PremCandy,
all this steps are not necessary... and apachectl is deprecated.
Simply go to $ORACLE_INSTANCE/bin and start your OHS with *./opmnctl startall*. (It also sets all your ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_INSTANCE, COMPONENT_TYPE, COMPONENT_NAME values).

How to set -Xss or ulimit for Oracle Http Server
Hi,
We are facing Out of Memory Error in OHS 11g in our cluster environment. Where I can see below statements in http log file:
# There is insufficient memory for the Java Runtime Environment to continue.
# Cannot create GC thread. Out of system resources.
# Possible reasons:
# The system is out of physical RAM or swap space
# In 32 bit mode, the process size limit was hit
# Possible solutions:
# Reduce memory load on the system
# Increase physical memory or swap space
# Check if swap backing store is full
# Use 64 bit Java on a 64 bit OS
# Decrease Java heap size (-Xmx/-Xms)
# Decrease number of Java threads
# Decrease Java thread stack sizes (-Xss)
# Set larger code cache with -XX:ReservedCodeCacheSize=
# This output file may be truncated or incomplete.
# Out of Memory Error (gcTaskThread.cpp:46), pid=17956, tid=140591807985408
When I run the ulimit command on machine, stack size is showing as 10MB:
Result:
[oracle@XXXXXX bin]$ ulimit -a
core file size (blocks, -c) unlimited
data seg size (kbytes, -d) unlimited
scheduling priority (-e) 0
file size (blocks, -f) unlimited
pending signals (-i) 1031958
max locked memory (kbytes, -l) 3500000
max memory size (kbytes, -m) unlimited
open files (-n) 131072
pipe size (512 bytes, -p) 8
POSIX message queues (bytes, -q) 819200
real-time priority (-r) 0
stack size (kbytes, -s) 10240
cpu time (seconds, -t) unlimited
max user processes (-u) 131072
virtual memory (kbytes, -v) unlimited
file locks (-x) unlimited
Setting the stack size to 512KB or 256KB might resolve the problem.
I tried setting ulimit -s 512 in my user bash_profile. and ran ulimit -a , then it is showing as
stack size (kbytes, -s) 512
If I set at user level, does it have any impact? Or we should set at JVM level using -Xss
Can some body tell me where can I set -Xss for Oracle HTTP server 11g?
Regards,
VidyaHi Marco,
I believe you'll need to setup a MX record under 'More Actions' for your domain in Site Settings / Site Domains.
Select the option "Use another external service for email" and enter your primary mail server's hostname at priority 10.
Think you can repeat this step for your secondary mail server (priority 20) if you have one.

Timeout waiting for Oracle WebLogic Server v10.3 at localhost to start
I am trying to run .portal file using "Run on server" option in Workshop for weblogic.
After doing this, its trying to start the server Oracle weblogic server v10.3 at localhost and then publish my module.
Server view status shows as "State" as "Starting" and "Status" as "Synchronizing". When status reaches 82% it gets stopped there for a long time, and when 83% comes up, I can see the "State" as "Stopped" and "Status" as "Republish". And then an error window with title as "Problem Occured" and contents saying, Starting server- Oracle weblogic server v10.3 at localhost (Time of error: ...) Details >> Timeout waiting for Oracle WebLogic Server v10.3 at localhost to start. Server did not start after 480s.
But the console tab (when I give the startup & Deployment option as "Launch Weblogic server in eclipse console) shows,
<Sep 8, 2011 6:15:03 PM IST> <Notice> <WebLogicServer> <BEA-000365> <Server sta

Before this I can see, WLS Start mode = Development, setting Classpath ,

And many more similar entries...
Also there is Adminserver.logxxx file which is having,

And many more entries like the above...
I even tried startup & Deployment option as "Start weblogic server in Expressmode" and still same error I am getting and this time instead of in eclipse console, I can see command prompt and here also showing "Server state changed to STARTING"
FYI, I created domain with runtime JRocket 1.6.0_05.
I even tried to clean build the portal project and publish using clean option. Still same problem coming :(
FYI, my system is having 1 GB RAM only and bit slow. Could this be a problem or something else? Please suggest.
Thanks in advance.

The root cause for your error is, it is not able to start the Pointbase database. Looks like you configured a domain with default pointbase database. In the domain\bin\ one of the starup scripts like startWeblogic.cmd, you should see some lines that start the pointbase database.
java.sql.SQLException: SQL-server rejected establishment of SQL-connection. Pointbase Server may not be running on localhost at port 9093
Instead of starting from Workshop, go to the domain root folder and start the weblogic using the command like startWeblogic.cmd (or .sh on unix). This should start the pointbase and then start the portal domain. Portal domain does need this backend pointbase database to store all the portal meta data and has datasources configured for this.
Do you have a Clustered Portal domain, with one of the managed servers located in the remote machine. If yes, and if you use default Pointbase database, you need to change something like pointbase db should not be localhost but the name of the machine where you have the admin server running.
Either way, the issue is not able to stat the pointbase db and thus serve not starting.
Thanks

Oracle Access Manager 11g r2 with Oracle Entitlement Server 11g r2
Hello,
I would like to set up a configuration with Oracle Access Manager 11g r2 where Authentication is against Active Directory, and Authorisation is against Oracle internet Directory
Access Manager has to get authorizations from Oracle internet Directory via Oracle Entitlement Server
I cant find any document describing how to integrate Oracle Access Manager with Oracle Entitlement Server
could any one help ?
RegardsHi all,
I am facing some issue with the distribution of the policy in the security module of OES.
The "application" distribution tab allows me to distribute the policy created but does not generate any distribution ID or address for webservice access.
I am using OES 11.1.5
Thanks in advance. -
OES(oracle entitlement server)
Hi,
can anybody please explain me the difference between oracle entitlement server(Authorization Policy Manager) and oracle entitlement Server client(OES Client).
Thank youHi Srivatsa,
I strongly recommend that you look at [url http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/oes/overview/index.html]OES White Paper, which has a lot of details on the product.
Oracle Entitlement Server (OES) has two main components:
1) OES Administration Server (previously Authorizaton Policy Manager)
This is the main management console which has UI, administration tools etc.
2) OES SM (Client/Agent)
The runtime component which computes the actual authorization decision
and provides the authorization service

How to install and where to get kernal source for Oracle VM Server
Hi guys
Can someone point me in the right direction for oracle VM Server kernal source, as the server I am using won't ping, and found its cause it doesnt recognise the network adapter, says there is no drivers.
But the HP website states I have to have the kernal source install so that I can build the driver.
Any suggestions or help on the matter?
ThanksThanks
I got my server to ping.
Now I have ran into more trouble.
I have been following ORacles installation guide for installing a Virtual Machine, but am struggling to install it, as their instructions don't match whats on the screen.
They tell you to copy each CD into a directory.....
and then mount that directory as an NFS mount.
I done all that
and then it tells u to do virt-install
So I do that, and it all works great, until the end part, its mean to ask you what is your installation souce directory , and your supposed to put nfs:selfhostname_ip_address:/path/to/files
and away you go.
However my server says " what would you like to use as your virtual CD image"
and so I type nfs:server_ip_address:/path/to/files etc, and I get the error CD MUST EXIST
so to get around this, I just typed /OVS/iso_pool/Disc1.img
and away we go, instlalation starts....
However THe instlalation then asks for disc 2, and then I get stuck, how do I tell it, that I changed the disc, and its ready?
I tried an installation of mounting the disc1 iso from a cd to /mnt
and then wen it wanted disc 2 I dont umount -l /mnt ...it said inodes busy, so I just forced the eject CD physically ont he drive
and then mount /dev/cdrom /mnt , for disc3
but it didn't detect I changed a cd.
Can anyone help me, its really urgent have to get this server up and running by today if possible. -
How to get account expiry date for Oracle Directory Server?
I need to get the account expiry date for Oracle Directory server. Which attribute stores this value? Please let me also know the attribute type and how to fetch it.
Thanks,
SubratHello,
Yes you can use nsAccountLock directly (When nsAccountLock=true, the object is inactivated and the user cannot log in)
This is documented in Modifying Directory Server’s NsAccountLockAttribute Directly (Sun Java System Directory Server Enterprise Edition 6.2 In… (release number is old but it does not matter, Thats the first one Ive found)
You can also use dsutil account-inactivate as described in dsutil - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.7.0)

10.1.0.5 Patch for Oracle Application Server 10g Release 1
Hi Guys,
Does anyone know what is the patch number for 10.1.0.5 Patch for Oracle Application Server 10g Release 1?
This is a Oracle Application Server and not Oracle Database server.
I tried searching on Metalink but not able to find it.
Thanks in advance!
Avinash.10.1.0.5 is not a version number for an OAS. It is only a version number for RDBMS.
If you are running OAS 10.1.2.x with the Identity Managmenet/SSO (OID Server), & elected to have it install the Metadata Repository database for you, this was a RDBMS release below 10.1.0.5. The OAS patch to 10.1.2.2 or 10.1.2.3 required the RDMBS be updated to 10.1.0.5 first. This is the standard 10.1.0.5 update for your platform.
use Advanced Search on Metalink
To find the OAS 10.1.2.2 or 10.1.2.3 patch set, search for Oracle Fusion Middleware Server. Release 10.1.2.2 and 10.1.2.3. Look for the decriptions like "PLACEHOLDER BUG FOR AS/DS 10.1.2.3 PATCHSET RELEASE" OR "PLACEHOLDER BUG FOR AS/DS 10G R2 PATCH SET 2 10.1.2.2"
To find the RDBMS 10.1.0.5 patch, search for RDBMS Server, Release 10.1.0.5. Look for the Description containing something like "10.1.0.5 PATCH SET FOR ORACLE DATABASE SERVER"
The patch number is different per platform, so I can't tell you the exact #s without more info (OS)
