Integration to current enviroment presentation.

I have a presentation on integration to our environment. Pros and cons and etc. If anyone has done this for upper management and can give me a head start on it it would be great. I'm currently running a 2007 environment looking into integrate iPhone 4 to the company. How did it effect the servers and etc would be nice.

In my opinion, I think you're looking at the wrong criteria. All of the back end stuff can be made to work just fine. I believe what really sets the iphone apart in the business world are the following:
1. Business people need and use high-quality speakerphones. The iPhone 4 provides the best speakerphone experience of any existing mobile phone, IMO.
2. Full-size Keyboard Support via bluetooth.
3. Cloud Sync for Notes.
4. FaceTime... for Family, because business people travel & staying in contact is important.
5. Tethering...so you've always got a connection.
6. Suit-ready Size.
7. 250,000 + Apps.
I'm sure there's more...that's just off the top of my head.

  • Integrated audio device not present

    After a substitution of the logic board, the integrated speakers, of my iMac, stopped to work. In the system preferences- sound- out tab, the device is not present: there is only headphones port.
    When I switch on the Mac the start beep is audible, it means that the speaker works, but not in OS X.

    Sadly this did not work. However, Windows did insist on trying to install its drivers immediately after the reboot so I'm not sure if this would have any impact. It is better in that I can now see the "fields" etc on the SoundBlaster tab of Properties but I still get the same message when trying to edit them. I think I should have words with Dell as this is clearly now a hardware config prob?

    I have been reading a bit on the subject as my MAC server is nearing it's end of life and I still have an OES 2 server in use (old OES sp1).
    Does someone know what is in plans for MAC users regarding ease of use when logging in to a SLES/OES system in the future?
    OES3 and Filr seems intresting, but will there be any help in the MAC integration?
    Currently have a SBS 5 user license but don't want to deploy it until it's easier to manage/use with macs
    Running SLES11+Groupwise8 on my MAC server virtually and it's a perfect combination.
    Thinkin about virtualizing the new SBS when it's launched - any news on that?
    I know Simon Flood is a specialist in this area with MACs - have you any insight?

    server that was upgraded from original OES[v1] SP2 perhaps? OES2 SP3

    Whilst I'd like to see Novell implement something in OES to make Mac
    integration easier (I and others have had conversations) there's nothing
    currently planned.

    There is no OES3, OES11 is the next version.
    OES11 will include support for DHX2 in the AFP protocol implementation
    so there will be no need to configure each Mac client to use DHX[v1]
    (this fix is also being backported to OES2 SP3 hence the earlier
    reference to next OES2 SP3 Scheduled Maintenance patch). Other than
    that it's the same as with OES2.
    Filr is very interesting but doesn't help with Mac integration. There
    will be an iOS client for iDevices but as it currently stands a Mac
    client will follow in "version 2". Personally I'd like to see a Mac
    client with version 1 but I'm assured Mac users will still be able to
    use Filr.

    SBS? Are you referring to Microsoft's or Novell's small business
    solution? Hopefully the latter and you mean NOWS SBE perhaps?

    Which virtualisation product are you using on your Mac server
    (presumably an Xserve)? Whilst I know it can be done I'm not aware of
    anyone who is virtualising Novell solutions on an Apple server but then
    I don't get out much! ;-)
    I'm currently using the VMware Fusion desktop product and it has been working flawless since the start
    one year ago.
    Running all on a MAC mini server edition with 8GB ram and all data stored on a NAS attached to my mac via firewire.
    For a small office with only 5 users this has proven to be a sufficient.

    I'm still around. Hopefully the above answers some questions but
    unfortunately asks more!
    In the end I guess it all depends on what you want to achieve. Can you
    have a user logging into a Mac authenticating against OES with the
    user's home directory on an OES server. Yes sure and there is more than
    one way to do it though the problem is support by Novell but we're
    working on that!

  • Setup AD integration With SGD

    I'm in the process of setting up a test for use of SGD within our organisation. I want to get rid of our current remote access procedure of using PPTP/VPN clients and give the user a complete browser experience. As part of this test I have a Solaris 10 VM running v4.20.983 of the SGD software. My question is now, is there a step by step guide I can follow to configure SGD with Windows 2003 AD integration so I can present remote users with a Windows Terminal Services session within a browser. This session would be a full desktop and not just a remote application?

    Ahh, if only that were entirely true!
    While you're correct that you can embed flash in your
    Presenter files, it's still not possible to use the latest On2 VP6
    codecs which is what you need to do if you want high quality large
    size video files. Using the Sorenson codec which is what would be
    required by your suggestion, means that the video tends to be quite
    pixillated and limited to a small frame size, otherwise you end up
    with lots of buffering delays.
    Our solution allows you to run fullscreen video of unlimited
    length from within Presenter and it works in self-paced
    presentations and meeting room environments too.

  • Integrating SD with FSCM using WS-RM - Update Termination error

    Hello experts .
    We are trying to integrate SD with FSCM ( credit management) using WS-RM (without PI).
    Details of the issue and steps followed so far.
    Ideal Scenario :
    Once we create / change a sales order ( in SD ) , the interface Creditworthinessquery_out (WS Consumer ) gets triggered (in SD) and the subsequent response CREDITWORTHINESSQUERY_IN(Provider) is triggered from FSCM (with the details of creditworthiness).Once the query response in received an notification is triggered from SD to FSCM (asynchronous service).
    After receiving the query response the functionality of credit check happens while creating / changing the sales order .
    Configuration steps followed in SOAMANAGER
    We have created end points for all the relevant service interfaces (Providers) , and also created logical ports for the respective consumers.
    During the creation of  logical ports -  for the consumers we used the WSDL (of the providers) as the inbound message action.
    (This has been done to all the services query , notification that are relevant in our integration).
    Current behavior / issue .
    While creating sales order the sales order is not getting saved (getting updated in the database).System allows us to complete the sales order creation process and also we get a message as sales order saved successfully. But then there is a update terminated express document that pops up. Sales order is not getting updated  in the database.
    When I see the logs/traces in SOAMANAGER I see that the query out is successful , query in has the right response (in warning state though) . But no notification is being triggered ?? 
    How to overcome this update termination issue ?
    When we see the SM13 log , it points to SLD issue (LCR 010: Internal error in SLD API). why do we need a SLD without PI ?

  • MBAM 2.5 with SCCM Integration

    I've installed MBAM 2.5 and now need to roll back the changes as I didn't specify the -SsrsServer value and this is hosted on a different server. When I try to run Disable-MbamCMIntegration I'm getting the following error

    Sure
    If you edit the following key in the registry on your SCCM server
    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MBAM Server\Enabled\CMIntegration to 0 and then restart the server it will allow you to re-add the feature with a different config.

  • Audio Problems - Presenter 6 & 7

    I currently use Presenter 6.2 (but have also downloaded and
    tried this with Presenter 7.0). Whenever I try use Import Audio,
    Synchronize Audio, or Audio Editor, Powerpoint crasches. That is
    part of the problem.
    The other more serious part for now is that when I click on
    Record Audio and begin to record audio, there is always an
    electronic interference type noise being recorded over the audio. I
    have isolated it to the Presenter Plugin, as my headphones record
    just fine in other programs (but this does me no good, as I cannot
    import audio without Powerpoint crasching).
    I am therefore assuming that there is a problem between the
    Presenter plugin and my sound card (and/or codecs). I have a
    SigmaTel High Definition Audio Codec. I am not sure however where
    the information is for my actual sound card. It was not listed in
    the device manager , only the drivers and codecs were there. There
    was one the said Legacy Audio Drivers, Manufacturer (standard
    system devices, location uknown, but said to be working properly).
    Does anyone have any idea what I can do to resolve these
    problems? - most importantly, being able to record audio in
    Presenter without this electronic interference being recorded over
    the voice recordings.
    I am using a Dell Latitude D830 with Windows XP Professional
    Version 2002 SP2, with Microsoft Powerpoint (Office) 2003, Intel
    Core 2 Duo 2.2Ghz, 2GB RAM. Also perhaps important is that I am
    also using a German version of Windows

    Best practice for tables in HTML (RH or not) is to use
    percentages instead of absolute measures. Using this method, we
    have had no problems with the transform into Printed Doc.
    We use:
    For 2-column tables at normal paragraph level, 100% and
    usually 20%,80%
    For 2-column tables in a list, 90% and usually 20%,70%
    For 2-column tables in a second-level list, 80% and usually
    20%,60%
    Don't worry about any long, unbroken character strings in
    column 1 (such as a long database column name), because the HTML
    default is to grab the space it needs to prevent breaking up such a
    string. If the text needs 27%, for example, it will take it.

  • Integration Server configuration error

    Hi all,
    I have an issue with the XI Integration server configuration.
    When I have tested the configuration I have detected that there is an error in the Integration server (transaction SXMB_ADM)
    The value was:
    http://xxx:xxxx:/sap_xi/engine?type=entry
    instead of
    http://xxx:xxxx/sap_xi/engine?type=entry
    note that the fisrt value have : after the port number.
    I have tested the SLD Bussines System configuration and had the same issue, I have solved too.
    But when I execute the test for integration server in transaction SXMB_ADM i have the next message:
    Corresponding Integration Server: Current Configuration <> System Landscape
    For the SLD Role of Bussines System the value in this test is the old value, not the new.
    Could somebody tell me if i forget something?

  • Integration of CHARM and Document Management

    Dear All
    After a lot of time on sdn wiki and thanks to the key blogging contributors , I now have a decent understanding of how to configure CHARM
    To go into more details, i would like to integrate CHARM with the Document Management within Solution MAnager
    Would i be right to assume that this integration is currently today in use only by a few GXP kind of customers
    But it seems the configuration of document management itself is not so difficult (eg creating document types, statuses, status schemes, signature strategy etc) The IMG has the steps described though in not great detail. Some topics are still bit specialized eg document versioning etc
    I was wondering if someone who has already spent time in this area could write a SDN blog or SAP experts coudl write a wiki section
    I see this as the next big improvement since everything would be out of the box and external document databases can be discarded etc
    Also the workflow of informing and signing documents for clear visibility is on the same system etc
    Some requirements could be
    1) what could be the minimal document workflow
    2) what kind of checks can be implemnet to prevent CD to move forward if a document is not in 'Approved' status
    3) at what point could a QM come into picture
    etc
    Though the documentation is in bits and pieces, if we could have alll at one place - lets say how its done , would be very helpful
    Like a Wiki or the SAP CHARM configuration guide
    or like the ITSM book by Nathan Williams with illustrations  :-)

    This is very far from the type of integration I expect to see. Proper incident management means when a problem occurs and incident is logged into the sap service desk. If this incident requires a change it should be forwarded to the CHange Reqest Management (CHaRM). From there it should have a business impact analysis, then a system or architecture review, only then if it is approved should development be started, after the development, it goes into QA for testing. Since the business process is defined in the solman and there are test cases for this business process. It makes sense that one can use the test workbench to verify the business process, and document the testing. If there is a problem with the testing and it needs to go back to development, it should be connected to the same incident logged initially. There should not be a second problem logged. It is still part of the same incident and should be managed as such.
    This question exists also for a maintenance project. Once I have an operational system and all the business process defined in the project and a change arrives into ChaRM, why canu2019t the change be done in the project like and implementation?
    How can one find out the direction of this product? Does SAP have any plans to develop solman into an integrated tool or will it remain a bunch of simple tools that co-exist on the same server?

  • ECATT and QTP integration.

    Can any one tell me what is SAP BASIS 620 Support Package level requirement for eCATT & Mercury QTP integration.
    Currently we are running eCATT on R/3 4.7 with SAP BASIS Support Package SAPKB62003.
    But when we are trying to integrate QTP 6.5 with eCATT it gives following error
    (we have done all the required configurations) :

         "The eCATT server you specified does not have the required support. Select another eCATT server or install a later version of eCATT on your server."
    From eCATT to QTP :

  • Right PAAS/Middleware for SAP HCM and SAP Cloud Integration ?

    In 2013, SAP has lot of Focus on SAP Cloud and SAP HCM on premises integration elements following the hybrid model, I will like to know the direction from SAP on integration Middleware/PAAS which will reap great returns in terms of TCO to customers over next 4-5 years basis the SAP Integration Road map esp the exposing standard connectors ?
    Please do keep in mind the the Middleware/PAAS should be able to support easy integration with Third Party Vendors like ADP/Hewitt etc

    The SFAPI and OData API are exposed for any web service integration, including Dell Boomi AtomSphere. The OData API can handle delta changes.
    HCI is an evolving platform and offers similar functionality to Boomi in terms of building integrations with a drag-and-drop interface, etc. There is a SuccessFactors connector provided for HCI and the Talent Hybrid integration content is available on HCI as well as PI. The Employee Central integration content currently available on Boomi should be available on HCI hopefully by the end of the year. The Talent Hybrid high-level roadmap can be found here:

    Boomi is included in the Employee Central subscription, but is very expensive to license for other use cases (i.e. Talent Hybrid scenarios). HCI costs 7.5% of the SuccessFactors subscription. PI is free. HCI may be included in the Employee Central subscription at a later date, but this is not definitely going to happen.

    yeah, well usually the default root slide is named
    'presentation' and you have to call to the root first because
    you're not calling from within the Slideshow file right? the call
    is defined as 'Slide.currentSlide' so you need to target the root,
    if you have changed the name of the root slide, target that
    instance name, thus the use of 'my_rootSlide'. I have just tested
    this and it is correct.

  • Presenter 9 won't install because of previous or prerelease version of Presenter 9?

    I HAD version 7 previously installed and I HAVE uninstalled it on Windows 7 Pro. It's gone - there's no sign of it in the Registry, the disk, and it's no longer listed in the Control Panel's list of software.
    And YET I get that same error message when I attempt to install Presenter 9.
    So, what's occurring?

    Is there any way to export only the referential integrity constraints from one user to another user ?
    Suppose i am having SCOTT user which is having EMP , DEPT tables . And also I am having another user (say TEST) which also is having those EMP and DEPT table but without the referential integrity constraints . Now can i export
    referential integrity constraints from SCOTT and import into TEST so that EMP,DEPT tables(in TEST) will have those referential integrity constraints which are present in SCOTT user ?
