Integration with Google App Engine on iPhone

Has anyone made an iPhone app that integrates with Google App Engine? Are there any restrictions on doing this?
I have working python code for the client side, including authentication and sharing data, I'm thinking of migrating that code to Objective-C. Wanted to make sure it's OK and see what other people think.

That's a good point, I was thinking my app would probably not be super popular, but I have no idea. A rough estimate of my app's behavior against the quotas gives me theoretically 65000 active users per day (limiting factor is HTTPRequest quota).
In any case I am hardcoding a domain name that I own into the app. The server side code is also pretty simple, so if the quotas became a problem I can migrate to EC2 without too much code rewriting. Hopefully.

BlazeDS is not working with Google App Engine. Although their is a quick fix provided by Martin Zoldano (http://martinzoldano.blogspot.com/2009/04/appengine-adobe-blazeds-fix.html ).
Is their any plan for an official release with a fix for Google App Engine compatability?

Hi. There is no plan for this that I am aware of. I logged a feature request to add support for GAE which will get the issue on someone's radar.

The fix does look pretty small so may be possible to get this added at some point but we'd probably also want to do some additional testing with GAE.

Calendar on MacBook Pro using Mavericks 10.9 will not sync with Google Apps for Business

Ever since the Mavericks upgrade, I have had problems syncing my MacBook Pro Calendar with my Google Apps for Business Accopunt. When Mavericks first came out, I could do a work-around and set up a second CalDev account and that worked for a while. But with the most recent update to Mavericks, in part apparently to solve Google integration issies, the Calendar app will not sync either through the mail account setup in System pref, or by setting up a separate CalDev account. I have no functioning Calendar on my MacBook, thogh the CalDev account option works fine on my iPhone and iPad, and of course all work on the PC with Google Apps Sync.
Appreciate any advice, or better appreciate if Apple were to get this right ASAP.

Thank you for your answer, unfortunately that is not the solution. I found the plug-in where it was already properly installed in the Root Level Library>Internet Plug-ins Folder. It was NOT to be found in the [User Name]>Library>Internet Plug-Ins Folder, so I copied it there from the Root Level Folder, Rebooted, deleted all cookies, signed in to Netflix, and I still get the same:

So, I tried a complete re-install of Mavericks OSX 10.9, from scratch. I checked all Internet Plug-In Folders and the latest version Silverlight Plug-in is in all of them. Still, I get the same:

Google app engine python SDK not working

I installed the google-appengine-python package in the AUR and followed the app engine hello world example.https://developers.google.com/appengine … helloworld
Then I start the server with the command
dev_appserver.py .
, here is the output:

It seemed everything worked fine but when I tried to access the urls, the connection was rejected with the code Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): The server refused the connection. It seemed the server didn't start at all.
I also tried to download the official zip package from google and it didn't work either.....
So, anyone can help me? Thanks in advance.

The thing that wished to be done in this thread is also the one of the questions that I wonder much about its answer.
As asked above, I would like to learn if it is possible to build a connection between "Google App Engine" and SAP. If it seems possible to do that, what would be the potential way for building that connection? Which steps do we have to follow? Could anyone advice something for that?

I assume that there are legal restrictions on the way in which iTunes can get artwork automatically from any source apart from the iTunes Store (which is what the right-click > Get Album Artwork function uses). For example, even though the Gracenote service that iTunes uses to match CDs and retrieve metadata (artist, album, track titles, etc.) also has artwork functions, iTunes does not make use of these.
For manual addition of artwork, there are three cases where the image you select may not be correctly embedded in your media files:
your media are in a format that doesn't accommodate embedded artwork - typically WAV files. To embed artwork you'll need to convert to another format - Apple Lossless or AIFF if you want to preserve lossless quality, AAC or MP3 otherwise.
your media files are read only - to fix this, use Windows Explorer to find the folder that contains your files, right-click and select Properties. On the General tab there's a check box labeled "Read-only" - if this is checked, or is grey (sometimes blue), click the box so that the flag is unchecked and the box is white. Click OK, and then OK again when the "Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files" option selected. Now try adding the artwork again.
Windows permissions issues are preventing iTunes from updating your media files (there's some anecdotal evidence of a change in this behavior in iTunes 12). See turingtest2's notes on Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows for advice on fixing this, then try adding the artwork again.

If you are saying that after signing into iCloud it is telling you device is not found, it could be for any number of reasons. If the battery is dead, if the SIM has been removed, or if someone else has the phone and they have restored it, it will not be shown. Also, if you located it once and then sent a remote wipe, it disables the abililty to locate the phone with Find My iPhone.

I think you're missing one setup step in the client-side groupware integration: the customizing.
In SPRO>CRM>CRM Middleware and related comp-->Settings for client-based synchronization.
The reason why your reply button is inactive is probably due to the missing custo setting. In the custo activity mentioned above you must specify which transaction types you'll use for incoming and outgoing e-mails. If eg the outgoing email transaction type is disabled, the buttons on the screen to send an outgoing e-mail (reply) will also be disabled.
P.S. The setup of client-based groupware integration is also described in building block C31 Activity Management (chapter 3.6) of the SAP best practices on help.sap.com. An installation guide is also available on service.sap.com.

Could not get which push button you have mentioned.I'm using the HTTP2_POST FM to send the request to google app engine.There is java code running on google app engine which has servlet request method getting request body from HTTP2_POST and in return java sends response to SAP using servlet response.The reponse comes in xml type text.When the request is sent to the google app engine there is no log update on the engine site when the request is sent;there is error on sap side at the time of response as there is no suitable data coming.

Google apps wont push iphone 4 ios5

I added my google apps account in mail the same way i did with my ipad 2 but in the iphone it wont push the mail ( only updates when i open mail app)

I deleted my Gmail/Exchange account on my phone and set it up again (exchange server) and now both my push mail and my calendar are working. Hoping it does for you, too.

How to interact with google search engine using java HTTP POST

I am trying to develop an desktop app that acts as an online radio tuner. I want to use google as an index site for actually searching for radio stations online. So I was wandering if it is possible for me to use java to actually interface with the google search engine servers. For example, I have built a gui that allows you to enter search text. This gui will connect to the web. I would like it to connect to the Google site and post the query to the google web servers. Then i would like to began to parse the response( html page) that i get back from the google servers. Like using google without actually typing in the text field on the google site. Can anyone tell me if it is possible to do this with java. If so, what would be the best way to go about doing this. Thanks.

Thanks for the response. It was actually alot easier to do than I anticipated. All I had to do was create a URL object initialized with the google url(search text embedded in the url - http://www.google.com/search?q=" + searchText + "&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF8).
Looks like this:

Mail.app Stopped Working with Google Apps Account

I have accessed my Google Apps e-mail account via Mail.app for many months with no problems. Then all of a sudden yesterday it has stopped working. I can't download new messages no matter what I do, and it does not give me any errors such as wrong username/password. I have tried sending a few test e-mails out and they get sent even though Mail.app shows the message as still being sent endlessly (the blue progress bar goes to about 50% and then just sits there, however the recipient receives the e-mail). Has anyone experienced this problem? It may be a complete coincidence, but I also just upgraded my version of Aperture 2 to Aperture 3 and it has been having all sorts of problems (which others are experiencing as well). Any help is greatly appreciated.

After some searching I have found a solution. I had to delete the contents of the following folder:
~/Library/Mail/myemailaccount/.OfflineCache/
Note: replace "myemailaccount" with the appropriate folder on your computer that represents your e-mail account. Once I deleted the contents of this folder (there were 2 files), and restarted Mail, there were no problems.
Hope this helps a few people in the future!
