Interaction/Services from FS-PM to PRODUCT Engine system

Hi All,
While debugging the new business i went through the class /PM0/CL_APH_PM_CALCULATION_PRO and the adapter Interface /PM0/IF_APR_PM_ADAPTER_PRO and got some basic understanding on how a FS-PM system interacts with Product Engine. Also Product Engine interfaces are assigned to corresponding classes at Policy and Contract level only.
Now my queries are as below. Kindly provide more information on these.Appreciate your help at the earliest.
1) All I have understood is that while using PRO/msg.Pm services in a TMF, A Method CALL_IM_INDIVIDUALLY sets the parameters to request data from PRO system and we handle the results using the method HANDLE_RESULTS_IM. But inside this method it is getting the data at a high level (either Policy or Contract) it is using the method "call_pcmodcontract". When i need customized fields at the Insured object level,Premium payer level which is at lower level which methods i can use.
2) Are these methods /PM0/IF_APR_PM_CALCULATION~GET_RESULT_* and /PM0/IF_APR_PM_CALCULATION~PC* are like getters and setters(Request and Response) Methods at PRO system ??
3) If i need to get the customized fields information from PRO system usually which methods i need to call.(Need more information on this).
4) Explain the usage of these methods PCACCOUNTREPVAL,PCADJUSTMENT,PCMIGRATION,PCMODCONTRACT,PCRATING,PCREVERSAL.
5) Usually i see most of the time that only these methods are implemented PCRATING and PCMODCONTRACT. Any Specific purpose of these methods ?
Appreciate your inputs on the above at the earliest. Thanks !

• ERROR Consuming external Web Services from JDE E1

Hello everybody,
I am trying to consume external web services from JD Edwards Enterprise One. For that, I have followed "Consuming External Web Services Tutorial".
I have followed all the steps successfully, but when the final test called from an interactive application to the business function that I had created in C get the following error messages in the log file:

I have tested:
1) Incorrect OCM for BSFNs.
Mapped to development Enterprise Server, so it was failing to find the BSFN.
2) Increase heap space for Java.
3) Business Function Location (C/S): "Both Client & Server Function"
4) Link the Business function with its parent DLL (CALLBSFN.dll)
I'm not sure I'd done well...

Hello again,
I have modied OCM record with a correct BSSV (the name and the port number were wrong).
And other thing that I have tested is change the parent DLL with a new DLL created by me (Object Name: CALLWS.dll, Product Code: 0, Product System Code:0) and the error is:

It seems like it is not possible to find the CALLWS dll... Althought it was built and compiled without errors and warnings...
I would like to debug the Business Function in C from Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, but I can't, because breakpoints are disable.
I have followed the following manual:
E1: BSFN: Debugging Business Functions Using Visual Studio .NET 2003, 2005 and 2008 (I have founded it in Oracle Support (Metalinki)).
And here they say:
"It is a normal feature of visual studio 2003/2005 to disable break point at the start of a debug session and display a warning saying no symbol is loaded. Break point will only be activated on demand when the code to debug is loaded in to the runtime memory".
I think is necessary add the referency with parent DLL (in my case, CALLWS.dll) but I don't know how can I do it. I have tested to insert in Business Function's source code the following line:
"#pragma comment(lib,"CALLWS.dll")" to force to include it, but when it was built:

• Invoking a SAP web service from Dreamweaver MX

I am trying to invoke a SAP web service from ColdFusion and it looks like ColdFusion does not even recognize the rfc generated wsdl file as a wsld file. I have tried other wsdl url's outside my company and they work...so I know that web services at least work in ColdFusion. Can anyone advise on this topic?
Thanks!

Paula,
I suppose you're using CFINVOKE (http://www.activsoftware.com/code_samples/code.cfm/CodeID/44/ColdFusion/Invoking_SOAP_Web_Services_with_ColdFusion_MX_CFINVOKE_Tag) or are you using a third party tool like CFX_SOAP (http://www.activsoftware.com/products/productdetail.cfm/id/1015)?
Are you working with WebAS 6.4 or 6.2?
It works with web services created with WebAS 6.4, but you should generate proxy classes. Check Thomas' weblog (second part of it)->https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/1012. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken]
The WSDL generated by this method is more standard than the one generated when you just Remote enable an FM and look at the webservice browser.
Th core of CF MX is Java and that engine is rather strict in standards.

• Sql server Configuration option when moving packages from dev env to production env

hi folks:
Our SSIS engine is SQL2008R2 and I am in charge of ssis package development and deployment from dev env to production env.
This is what I've done using configurations to move packages from dev to production.
1. on my local machine, I've created a database called SSIS_Config and a table that stores all
configration settings
CREATE TABLE [dbo].[SSIS Configurations]
ConfigurationFilter NVARCHAR(255) NOT NULL,
ConfiguredValue NVARCHAR(255) NULL,
PackagePath NVARCHAR(255) NOT NULL,
ConfiguredValueType NVARCHAR(20) NOT NULL
2. on dev ssis server, there is the same table [dbo].[SSIS Configurations] on SSIS_Config db which stores all configurations
Once package has been deployed to dev env and run with success, I'll move it from dev to prod
3. On Prod ssis server, there is the same table [dbo].[SSIS Configurations] on SSIS_COnfig db which stores all configurations
once ssis pkg has been deployed using deployment manifest, it runs without errors as all production db connection
will be updated manually in the table [dbo].[SSIS Configurations]
Our production env is unique as it's completely locked down and the only way to connect is through remote in session.
At this moment, I am maintaining three [dbo].[SSIS Configurations] tables : on my local machine, on SSIS dev server and on SSIS prod server.
This works fine so far as I am the sole developer... Soon, we will have more developers joined to develop ssis package .
I am wondering if there is anyway to cut the table maintained on my local machine and only use ones on dev server and prod server ?
I've tried using the table on dev server to disperse connectionstrings, it works file on dev env. However, when I deployed to product server,
since there is no sql connection between dev and prod, the configuration information can not be retrieved and theirfore package is failed.
Any ideas on how to move packages from local to dev to prod env.?
Thanks

Thanks Nearby BI guy. Am I correct that in your SSIS packages, there is only one connection manager which gets ConnectionStr populated from package configurations which is .xmlconfig
file and you then use expressions to populate connectionStrs of other connection managers through the ssisconfiguration tables?
Also for the one on Production environment, the contents of .xmlconfig has to be manually
changed in order to match the one on production env.
Is that correct?
I am thinking about using environment variables to point to the Config Database on each
local/dev/prod environment, but some environments may have strict policy on the usage of environment variables.
thanks

• Best way to create a Windows service from a LabVIEW executable?

What would be the best way to run a LabVIEW executable as a service? I needed this recently and I think I have set up such a service using srvany.exe from the Windows 2003 Resource Kit, but that seems like a bit of a hack. The Kit is not offically supported in Server 2008, but seems to work. I don't know about Server 2012 or beyond.
So what would be the "proper" way of going about creating a Windows service from a headless LabVIEW application?

The proper way is to interface to the according Windows service control API. That is however not a trivial task to do. We used to sell a LabVIEW toolkit which supported a full interface to this, but it's not currently actively marketed.
srvany.exe is sort of a hack but works reasonably well for most use cases, as long as you do not need any further interaction with the service manager interface in Windows than to start and stop your service.

Hello Ramesh,
for uploading SRM master data to CCM u need not do any developements in ABAP , u have to just import SAP predefined SWCV's in Integration repository and configure required scenario "MasterDataInclusionInCatalogOnWAS" for u r corresponding WAS version.
U can download configuration document from service marketplace named " Configuration Fact Book CCM 2.0 "

• Calling web service from oracle forms 10g

Problem Description:
I'm following the steps as per the doc:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/forms/htdocs/10gr2/howto/webservicefromforms/ws_10_1_3_from_forms.html
to create a java stub to call external web service and then use java importer in oracle forms to call this web service from oracle forms.
WSDL for external web service used is http://gend:83/DesignService.svc?wsdl
The service was developed by us.
Calling the web service using JDeveloper works fine but when I complie in Oracle Forms it returns wrong number of types of arguments in call SENDHELLO.
The code from oracle form to call web service is as below:
DECLARE
jo ora_java.jobject;
xo ora_java.jobject;
rv varchar2(2000);
ex ora_java.jobject;
str varchar2(100);

jo := GendServiceClient.new;
rv := GendServiceClient.sendHello('Nora');

WHEN ORA_JAVA.EXCEPTION_THROWN then

message(Exception_.toString(ex));
END;
Any help/ideas on this is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My primary skill is PL/SQL but the only information I found on Oracle's site to call a web service from a 10g Form was creating a jar file and importing the java class. Since I don't want to ask our corporate IT to make changes on the UNIX box for the jar files I went a different route.
I use UTL_HTTP.BEGIN_REQUEST to call a URL then load I load the data to a table as a CLOB since we have more than 4000 characters. Now I need to parse the XML and load it into a form. I have never done this so if there is a helpful site please let me know. I have looked at several sites but none do what I want.
Thanks

Yes, it is the message line - so basically this call fails => rv:= CurrencyConvertorStub.ConversionRate(jo,'CAD','USD'); and control goes in the exception block

• QName error while calling a web service from Sourcing

I need to call a web service from Sourcing script. The web service team has provided us the WSDL and I have generated the required stubs using wsimport and packaged the required java classes in a custom JAR. The same jar and same code works fine when called from a standalone java program.
I am not using or creating QName anywhere in my script. The only place where QName is used is in the generated java class and there it is created from the correct namespace URL

hi,
you can "borrow" the source code from [Yambo a free soft open source presentation engine (AKA XML microbrowser Xlet )|http://www.cineca.tv/labs/mhplab/index-en.html] both local and on a http remote connection.
hope it helps..

• Getting "Origin is not allowed" When Trying to Invoke RESTful Service from Another Domain

I am having problems trying to invoke my RESTful web service from a different domain. I'm well aware of the normal restrictions of cross-site / cross-domain scripting but in Oracle documentation it says that all origins are allowed by default when creating a RESTful service without using authentication.
I have created a very simple service and am trying to invoke it using jQuery.Ajax calls from a different domain and I am getting XMLHttpRequest cannot load http://address_to_my_web_service. Origin http://calling_from_address is not allowed by Access-Control-Allow-Origin.
I understand that using JSONP instead of JSON is actually the best practice around cross-site scripting but it appears as though APEX does not support JSONP because with JSONP, there are URI parameters added to the base request (callback).
I am stuck and would greatly appreciate any help.
I'm starting to wonder if this could be a bug because Oracle documentation says all origins should be allowed when using a service that does not require authentication. I also tried to force the origin to be allowed by typing it in and also using the wildcard '*' and it still did not work.
Thanks,
Mark Williamson
EDIT: It is now working after adding a URI prefix to my web service module.

The SSL handshake works differently to a browser as it is making the connections automatically.
The browser asks every time if you want to trust an expired certificate, and it also recommends not to. Its impractical to manually check every service call to say do you trust the certificate so the functionality doesn't exist. I doubt any integration product does this. Therefore there isn't a option to ignore the certificate if it has expired.
This makes sence as the certificate is untrustworthy. The whole idea around SSL is trusting the site you are communicating with, all parties need to be trusted. This stops hackers from replicating their site and intercepting data.
If the administrator of the remote site is not willing to renew the certificate, are they really interested in SSL. I suggest they expose a non SSL service.
cheers

• Unable to execute Web Service from SSRS Dataset

Hi,
I am unable to access a Web Service to execute Dataset from MS SSRS. I have created a Dataset that refers to a WebService as a Query. The dataset and Query runs well in DEV environment. However, the following error message is displayed when executing
the Query inQA environment:
An error occurred while executing the query.
Failed to execute web request for the specified URL.
Soap Fault:
The server was unable to process the request due to an internal error. For more information about the error, either turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the <serviceDebug> configuration behavior)
on the server in order to send the exception information back to the client, or turn on tracing as per the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 SDK documentation and inspect the server trace logs. (Microsoft SQL Server Report Designer)

I am looking for a solution to this problem. Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

Hi Abhijit PS,
According to your description, when calling a web service on production environment, you get the above error message. Right?
In this scenario, it seems you are calling WCF services. Since it's an internal error, we suggest you enable the IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults to see the detail information about the error. Please refer to the articles below:
How to enable WCF tracing
Turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults while connecting to a WCF service from a
client.
The server was unable to process the request due to an
internal error. For more information.. Turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults
Also please refer to some similar threads below:
Turn on IncludeExceptionDetailInFaults (either from ServiceBehaviorAttribute or from the <serviceDebug> configuration
behavior) on the server
WCF  Error The server
was unable to process the request due to an internal error
If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
