Interaction.Trigger with UserControl

Hi everyone,
I've finished creating an UserControl called CustomMessageBox which contains a TextBox and 2 buttons : OK | Cancel . I want to apply my control to MVVM model, but , when I use interaction.trigger to interact with the Confirm and Cancel event (Confirm and
Cancel are my 2 custom events) , like this :
<i:Interaction.Triggers>
<i:EventTrigger EventName="Confirm">
<command:EventToCommand Command ="{Binding CloseTheWindow}"/>
</i:EventTrigger>
</i:Interaction.Triggers>
But nothing happens . My window still opens
Can anyone help me please ?

How do you implement and raise the Confirm event then? And why? You might as well invoke the command directly in the click event handler of the Button:
private void Confirm_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) {
dynamic viewModel = this.DataContext;
//invoke the command directly here:
viewModel.CloseTheWindow.Invoke(null);
...or you could just bind the "CloseTheWindow" command to the confirm button directly:
<Button Content="Confirm" Command="{Binding CloseTheWindow}" />
Of course this still assumes that the DataContext of your CustomMessageBox UserControl has been set to an instance of a view model class that contains a "CloseTheWindow" command property.

  • Send Back An Interactive Form with updated Vendor Details

    Dear SDN,
                   We have a requirement of sending back an Adobe Form after the user updates some fields as an email or to the universal work list of the sender?
    The step is:-
    1. Receive Adobe form.
    2. Update Fields.
    3. Send back to the sender as an email//UWL.
    The receiver of the Adobe Forms  may not have SAP Access so whats the work around? Can javaMail API be used without the Dynpro ? Can Guided procedure help ? Or may be a webservice to send the mail ?
    Please suggest.
    Anirban.

    Hi,
    Well, as stated in the blog, it depends on your scenario. So there's no howto guide at the moment.
    Business logic and PDF (by email) sending has to be developed on your backend side. I suggest you to read the Interactive Forms tutorials in the Webdynpro for Java section for first steps.
    It's also possible to trigger a guided procedure with the help of an interactive form (with the help of a posting on a address specific to the GP). For this, you can check the CAF (Composite Application Framework) tutorials here on SDN.

  • Nexus 7000 Interactive Action with TCL or Python

    hello, Team
    Does anybody know how we can trigger interactive action with EEM?
    Cu hope to execute some command sets to another device with specific event.
    I've tried to test with TCL/Python with CLI but interactive mode didn't support by CLI/EXEC.
        N7K_1-tcl# cli "telnet localhost"
        Cannot run interactive command with cli/exec prefix.
        N7K_1-tcl#
    Is there any idea to work this scenario properly?
    Or Anybody guide where is the TCL Library can use inside of N7K?
    Just it looks simple, but couldn't work it easy in N7K.
    Hope to get any clever idea from experts
    Best Regards
    Jaemi Lee

    There isn't any mail action support in NX-OS EEM.  However, EEM 5.x provides the ability to execute a tclsh script from an EEM applet.  You could use Tcl to send your email.  The tcllib package at http://tcllib.sourceforge.net/ offers an smtp.tcl library in the mime module.  You can use this to send your email.

  • Interactive Report with PL/SQL Function Source

    Is it possible to create interactive report with PL/SQL function source returing a query? If not, has anyone done any work to simulate the interactive reporting feature for a normal report using API?

    I haven't tried that before but you could:
    1. create a collection from your result set returned by a dynamic query,
    2. create a view on that collection,
    3. use the view in your interactive report.
    The usability of this proposal depends from a question how "dynamic" your query is - does it always have the same number of columns or not.

  • Is it possible to export interactive textfields with data?

    Hey guys,
    I have following problem. I´m creating our variable price list for our customers. "variable" means an interactive pdf for our customers where they can edit the prices, product discription etc.
    I can paginate our catalogue with "Easy Catalogue" including all interactive textfields. It looks like this:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/kn81v9db69dx0a7/screenshot_pagination_incl_interactive_textfield s.png?dl=0
    The problem now is, when I export it as an interactive pdf, the data of the textfields will not be exported -> Dropbox - screenshot_exported_interactive_form.png
    it`s just blank
    Does anybody have a solution for this problem. I need the fields to be preset with the data!
    Is it generally possible to export interactive textfields with data?
    Any idea is appreciated!
    cheers from Austria,
    Chris

    I´m using Easy Catalog http://www.65bit.com/software/easycatalog/
    But I think it has something to do with indesign interactive pdf export properties.
    What I also tried:
    Converted an ordinary textfield with text into an interactive textfield -> then exported as an interactive pdf -> also blank editable field!

  • Problems with Long Interactive PDFs with Extensive Interactivity via Buttons and Hyperlinks

    I have inherited a project which requires the creation of large interactive pdfs with lots of buttons and hyperlinks. I am having continuing problems with buttons not working and long periods of wasted time as attempted exports fail.
    Background:
    The largest books range from 264 MB to 411 MB – (764 to 1024 pages).  Per book, the maximum number of buttons on each page is 16, linking separate files (subsections) in the book via text anchors.  The buttons are created using Master Pages which are set for each file (subsection) in the book.  50% to 60% of the pages in each file (subsection) will also be referenced as 2 hyperlinks.  One is the source page hyperlink on each workflow and the second is a listing on the source page as a possible navigation path. I have created hyperlink destinations for each page which is used to generate the source and navigation hyperlinks.  With 2 hyperlinks representing 50%-60% of the pages - that means the largest book contains a maximum of 1200 hyperlinks.  Each file (subsection) also has it’s own separate TOC and the bookmarks that are created  (optionally) during the TOC creation process.   As currenlty formatted, the book is primarily images of workflows which mean 50%-60% of the pages contain pdf images.
    Several questions:
    1.  How do I get my buttons to work consistently?  There is nothing worse than working hard and then ending up with faulty product.  I have been thinking about combining all the files into 1 document per book.  Then I could change the buttons to objects, add a hyperlink over each one and set them for a specific hyperlink destination.  Can I do that if the buttons are on Master Pages?  Can InDesign handle a document with 1024 pages?    I can't fix the problems in Acrobat later because it would mean 1024 fixes for just 1 button correction.
    2.  How do I stop InDesign from freezing when exporting these large pdfs?  It seems to wait until the final steps to crash which sometimes means a 4-6 hour waste of time per export.
    3.  Are we making a mistake using pdfs as our workflow images?  I'm not pleased with the quality of the images we have and wonder if we switched to another image format if this would improve the results.   Would it be worth the effort and relinking?  I have been reading different information on what the preferred source image format is for InDesign.  One article I found yesterday says using pdf images is a problem.  Another site said the Photoshop, TIF and JPG are preferred but PDFs were also acceptable.
    4.  Do I need to propose scrapping InDesign as the source of the project?  If so, what application can better meet my needs?

    Those are the limitations you have to put up with.
    Apple doesn't follow the PDF spec. It chooses which PDF features it will support.
    As to the version number (v5 or v6 or the new multimedia features in v9), there is different support in different versions of Reader/Acrobat as the product has developed. You just need to post a message to downloaders that they need to view the file in Adobe Reader version X or above to get the best experience.
    Other industry standards face the same problem: How can you add new feature like multimedia? You can't always be backwards compatible.

  • Search Help on Adobe Interactive Form with Web Dynpro ABAP

    Hi All,
    I have created Adobe Interactive Form with ZCI type and XML based interface type using Webdynpro ABAP.
    I placed a text field USER_NAME on the form ( data element is linked to search help USER_COMP ).
    Added Native WD UI element 'Value Help' to form to search for users and changed script
    *var fieldName = "INSERT_NAME_HERE*"; to var fieldName = "USER_NAME";
    The problem is that when I click on the value help button, nothing happens.
    Is any more additional steps required ?
    Thanks

  • How to do an interactive form with tables

    I've been asked to recreate an interactive form that was created using several tables. The tables are made up of cells that contain labels of what information is required, followed by blank cells where the user can put the information (text fields). A few of the cells are to contain drop down menus that will contain a list of answers to choose from (combo boxes). I kind of like the idea of doing it in a table just because it keeps everything lined up automatically.
    I am a Lynda.com subscriber, and I found a course on that site that shows how to create interactive forms with InDesign, but it just breezes past doing it with tables. It says you can do it, but doesn't show how. The problem is, one table can contain all three types of cells that I plan to use. I can select the whole table and then choose "Type" in the Buttons and Forms panel, but I would think that would turn the whole table into just one type of field. I can't seem to figure out how to select individual cells of the table to choose different types.
    Is there a way to do that?

    This is work around
    1- Draw a rectangle frame, and without release mouse use up and right arrow key to define rows and columns count and use Ctrld+ down arrow key to reduce space between rows and Ctrl+left arrow key to reduce space between column.
    2- Covert frames to Buttons.

  • How to use Adobe Interactive forms with ISR frame work in Webdynpro forJava

    Hi,

    We have already searched in ISR_Cookbook_2004, however we didn't anything related webdynpro for java in that.
    Any information regarding this will be of great help.

    There are a number of issues here. A form that you created with LiveCycle Designer (XFA) cannot be used with FormsCentral. An Acroform, the kind you can create with Acrobat, can be used with FormsCentral, with certain limitations,  one of which is skip logic. A dynamic XFA form allows for this type of thing, but as mentioned, they don't work with FormsCentral. You can set up an Acroform to show/hide or activate/inactivate fields based on selections or entries made in other fields, but you'd have to set this up in Acrobat, not FormsCentral. So you can set up something roughly equivalent to a web form's skip logic, but you'd have to learn how to do this in Acrobat using JavaScript. There is a separate Acrobat JavaScript forum here if you have any questions.

  • How do I create/host interactive articles with embedded video for use in browsers?

    I'm seeking a little guidance -
    How do I create/host interactive articles with embedded video for use in browsers?
    The aim is to bring together video, design, images and writing in one place. A little like Born Presents, but very accessible and user friendly.
    I'm happy using InDesign but want to create interactive articles / magazines that have embeded video files as required. I've been looking at .SWF files but I've come unstuck.
    I want people to view the articles via a blog, ideally with them opening in a lightbox style viewer. It's not intended for tablet viewing and people should be able to view and interact with the files with little effort on their part.
    I think I know how to create these files within InDesign, but I'm not so hot on web design and I'm not sure how to host these online. Does this start coming into the realms of Flash?
    If anyone could point in the right direction I'd really appreciate it - Thank you in advance.

    PDF is one thing. Folios for DPS is another. There is a little bit of
    overlap but not much.
    The interactivity in the folio overlays panel is for DPS only.

  • Does Safari support a interactive PDF with hidden layers? I'm on version  5.0.3 and the interactive PDF displays just fine, but our web development team tells me all the layers display when they view the same PDF on Safari.

    Does Safari support interactive PDFs with layers? Through the use of hidden layers and buttons we built in interactivity that allows the viewers to click on buttons to display different content. When I view the PDF in Safari 5.0.3 on my Mac OS 10.5.8 the PDF displays fine and the interactivity works. However our web design firm tell me the PDF displays all the hidden layers when they view it in Safari. Who's right?

    Try updating your Safari to the latest version, 5.0.5.
    Also check whether the rest of your system is up to date by going to Software Update in the Apple menu.

  • Making an interactive pdf with animations and a video?

    Hi Everyone,
    I'm working in InDesign CS6 and I've made a interactive pdf with swf animations, exported it to an interactive pdf and everything works great from the little animations to the page curl. Now, I would like to put a video in on one of the pages.
    I've placed it as a .mov and a .mp4, exported as a .swf. It works great in the swf and the html file. It even works great when I export the video page as a interactive pdf by itself.
    BUT, when I export all the pages in my doc (with the animations and the video) as a swf, then RE-import into ID, to export as a interactive pdf... the pdf only gives me a static window. ALL the other animations and page curls work though.
    So there's a disconnect between the video and going from a swf to a interactive pdf.
    Can anyone tell me what step I'm missing or if this just isn't possible yet?!
    Thanks so much!!!

    Without seeing actual file, it´s hard to say what´s going on... but have you chekced that Flash Player in Acrobat finds your video? When you export SWF from InDesign, videos or any other placed rich media files are not embedded into the SWF. InDesign creates a resources folder next to SWF and stores those media assets into that folder. If you don´t have that folder same place with exported SWF, you will have problems.
    If you place your video file into your layout and export as PDF, there shouldn´t be any problems. But if you place your video file into your layout, export as SWF, place that SWF back to InDesign and then export as PDF... then you will lose the connection between resulting PDF and resources InDesign created.
    One way to solve that is to use public URL for placing videos. Thwn you won´t need actual video file stored locally. Downside is that Acrobat/Reader may throw an alert about that.
    Another way is to open your Interactive PDF to Acrobat, select placed SWF and embedd resources folder into PDF manually.

    3.  Why do you suggest a range of 0..1 and multiply by 360, rather than a range of 0..360 in the first place?
    Interesting. I wasn't aware if this limitation. I guess it only works for simple controls. (Here's an idea!)
    You cannot set the range and delta, they are the results of the "word lenght" and "integer word lenght". These are tightly limited by the underlying binary representation.
    In this particular case, you could chose a word lenght of 12 bits and integer word lenght of zero bits, giving you an increment of exactly 1/4096 (The display is unfortunately rounded to four decimal digits and does not show the full resolution) (Here's another idea!)

  • Creating interactive PDFs with page turn,issue with PDF

    I recently watch a video on adobe tv titled "indesign : creating interactive PDFs with page turn and flash animation". The video was great,simple to follow with great results, I was able to create a document with interactive page turns that was viewable in a web browser,the next step was to then create the same document but be able to view it in PDF format. I followed the above mentioned video and everything worked apart from one issue once I exported the indesign file out as an interactive PDF it opened up in adobe acrobat pro with no problem but when I went to turn the page it would lag and slow down to the point were it was almost impossible to turn the page, the page turning didn't seem to flow as well as when viewing it in a web browser. The document I am creating is a catalogue and I am happy with the interactive version for the web but I am looking at putting the catalogue on a CD/ USB and need it to open and work with PDF, it would be a great help if anyone could advise me on the reason why the interactive page turning runs so poor in PDF format. I am currently running on a very powerful computer with the adobe CS5 master suit.
    Any help would be much appreciated

    The page flipping is an SWF effect, so essentially you now have an entire SWF embedded inside a PDF.
    If you forget about this garish effect (which, I can guarantee you, by next year will be "so 2012") you can send out a standard PDF which can be easily viewed on otherwise sub-standard computers, and using very straightforward PDF readers, such as the ones currently available for the iPad and its clones.
