Hello,
As mentioned in other postings
in general the "usage rights" exception is caused by one of the following reasons:
1) the needed credential file is not copied in the correct location
2) you have registered the wrong password
3) you didn't restart the engine after registering password
The correct location for your credentials depends on the SP of your ADS/WAS. Make sure, you have a matching configuration guide to your SP.
If you have deployed SP-12 or higher, it should be
/usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/AdobeDocumentServices/TrustManagerService/trust/credentials
Try these it should solve your problem.

    Hi Siva,
    If you are developig your form using NWDS, make sure about the cardinality of the context parameter - data Source not 0..1 or 0..n.You may refer similar threads (of same kind of error) in this forum..
    Hope this helps. Assuming you have successfully tested, ADS and the credential file at the ABAP stack, by rurnning the respective ABAP reports.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Anto.

  • Interactive Forms - Context error

    Friends,
    I am working on an Adobe Interactive form using ABAP Web Dynpro (WDA).
    I am encountering errors in the display. I have created a form of ZCI layout type. I have set the displayType to "native" and checked the "enabled" property in the InteractiveForm property in the WDA view.
    When i execute the Web Dynpro application in the browser, the fields are in display only mode and are not interactive.
    I have not created any attributes in the context.
    My question is - does Context creation got to do anything with this error. If not, what else could be the reason.
    I am new to Adobe Interactive Forms using ABAP Dynpro.
    Please help.
    Thanks and Regards.

    Hi
    Could you send me screenshots of your stuff. Also could you check whether the ADSSAP SP level = J2EE Engine SP level. I dont think that cardinality would affect whether a form is interactive or not. The screenshot with the context node that i sent you was the default cardinality you get when creating a node. Also if you have Active Components Framework installed on your pc then try deleting it. How are you creating the form? are you going into SFP first and then in WDA calling the form or are you using forward navigation in WDA to do it. I used forward navigation for the example screenshots.

    Hi,
    i got exactly the same error after installing nw2004s SP07  sneak preview.
    I checked oss note for changing the hostname - without success.
    But now i found the reason. I missed to configure the : "Destination URL for the Adobe Document Services" as described here:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/02/560f41ca73d349e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm

  • HCM Interactive forms - operation error while applying usage rights

    Hi!
    We have setup several scenarios using the new HCM Interactive forms on ERP6.0 and EP7.0. The scenarios include things like Transfer, pay change request.
    In 9 out of 10 cases everything thing is working as expected so that the users can complete the forms and the process for their requests but occasionally we are seeing a random error that occurs for any user at any time without any apparent pattern.

    We had the same problem. The fix is to get a unique ID for every form. Given below
    Instructions to generate unique ID
    1. Modify template
    Edit your template via t-code SFP
    -> goto Layout tab -> Adobe LiveCycle Designer will be started
    -> Goto 'XML source' tab
    in line2, you will find following entry
    <?xfa generator="AdobeLiveCycleDesigner_V8.0_SAP" APIVersion="2.5.8227.0"?>
    <xdp:xdp xmlns:xdp="http://ns.adobe.com/xdp/" timeStamp="2008-09-11T14:
    39:44Z" uuid="4ed773ff-6aeb-483e-a5ec-4af1a138c775">
    from this line, delete uuid="..." part.
    Go back to 'Design view' tab
    Check if layout is not changed.
    Save / activate template
    2. Delete database table entry for table ADS_Licensed_forms
    Schema SAP<SID>DB -> table ADS_LICENSED_FORMS
    (you can delete all table entry from this table)
    3. When you access the forms, they are aitomatically registered in this table.
    Hope this helps.

    Hi Srikanth,
                    Did u mapped pdfSource & dataSource Properly. If yes check whether your Server Configured to run Adobe Forms. See wether ur ads settings are as per the following document
    Tutorial on Installing Credentials and Configuring ADS
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/f03414f8-d4ce-2a10-d4b6-ab201b329d98
    f yes ur ADSUser password
    must have expired follow the steps to reset the password
    SAP NetWeaver '04 / 2004s
    1. Log on to the Visual Administrator.
    2. Follow the path:
    Server -> services -> Security Provider -> User Management tab
    3. Display the user ADSUser.
    4. Change the ADSUser password. (You can use the same password.) Check the checkbox
    'No password change is required'.
    Note: The below mentioned technical user role is available for the ADSuser as of
    NetWeaver 2004s SPS 7.
    5. Log on to 'User Management' of your AS Java:
    http://<AS Java server>:<http port> -> User Management
    6. Display the user ADSUser.
    7. In the 'Security policy' field, change the setting from 'Default' to 'Technical
    Users' and save.
    (For more information on the 'Security Policy' option, see the Release Notes in
    the SAP Help Portal at

    Hi,
    There seems to be an issue with ADS configuration on your server. Please verify the settings and try testing the Adobe Document Services through WS.
    You can refer to [ADS Configuration guide|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/30a9630b-4f89-2a10-6fab-e311b3ffd9a6].
    For testing the webservice go to the below link:
    http://ep62:50100/wsnavigator/enterwsdl.html
    and choose the AdobeDocumentServices.
    Hope this helps!!
    Cheers

  • PDFDocumentRuntimeException Error with web dynpro and Interactive Forms

    Hi,
    I installed on my notebook the Trail Versions of:
    - SAP NetWeaver Application Server 7.00/Java AS 7.00
    - SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Version: 7.0.14
    - Acrobat Reader 7.0.9
    - Internet explorer 7.0.5730.13
    I configured and tested the ADS after the configuration guide and i get the Version info sucessfully if I do the http://localhost:50000/AdobeDocumentServices/Config Test.
    So i developed a web dynpro application with interactive forms after a tutorial and did exactly the same (so i think i have to configure something on the server or on the client). All other Webdynpro applications without an interactive forms are running without any problems.
    when im running the application with the interactive forms this error occured:

  • Use of pdfSource in Interactive Forms in webdynpro

    hi,
    please let me know the use of "<b>pdfSource</b>" property while designing the Interactive form in webdynpro. i tried with and without creating the pdfSource property in my application and still there were no errors while deploying it.
    Thanks
    Regards
    Poojith M V

    Hello Poojith M V,
    Let me answer your query in a little bit more details. The statement first: An interactive form can be rendered with or without a pdfSource attribute.
    But there are significant differences in the way they work and the application is designed. When you have the pdfSource bound to a context attribute of type binary, you do a PDF interchange between the browser and the server. The whole point is that you will always have the latest PDF document (binary) available in that context attribute on the server and you can make use of this binary PDF to do anything your apllication requires (saving it onto the file system, storing it into the database, performing some other operations on the server, email it etc etc etc).
    Now, the other side of it, when you do not have the pdfSource bound to a context attribute, only XML exchange happens in between the browser and the server. Well, that means you only have the latest XML data available on the server at any point in time and since you have not bound the pdfSource, you do not have the binary PDF available to you through the context. There are ways you can get it but not through the context and not the latest one. It would still contain the initial data it had in the first request response cycle as you have not updated the PDF after that.
    Now, the question is, which one to use ? It completly depends on your application requirements. There are certain functionalities which are not possible without having the latest PDF binary in hand. For example, you want to apply a digital signature on the document, you want to add an attachment on the document etc. But, then in most  of the scenarios, the application would just need to exchange data between the client and the server (and vice versa) and do not worry about the binary PDF. That is the ideal case when you need not bind the pdfSource. It will be faster as well.
    Hope that clarifies your doubt to certain extent. Go ahead and start with you interactive form application.
    Best Regards,
    Krish

    Hi
    Check for ADS Once and authentication.
    It shows UI Elemenet Error. add your UI element once again into Ur WD and then deploy.
    Other wise deploy the ready to use code from SDN downloads and try to deploy .if it works fine then try ur application.
    Other wise check once ADS config.
    Thanks
    Lohi.

    Hi Krishanu,
       Thanks for your responseI have checked the url that I had put in Web Service as http://versa:80/AdobeDocumentServices/Config?style=document
    and when I run this url which seems to be working fine and on run it I test it, also it gives wsdl url which is
    http://versa:80/AdobeDocumentServices/Config?wsdl&style=document
    and on clicking this url it opens the xml document.
      I have also checked the Log, where I find that

  • Blank page when using Interactive Forms(Webdynpro thru Java)

    While i was running the application using Interactive Forms iam getting Blank page.
    Previously when i try to view the output, i can able to view it without any errors,suddenly what happened is iam knowing.
    ADS was perfect,CredentialRights there,AdobeReader-7.0,ACF with SP11 installed and Active-X Controls Enabled.
    Can i know where the problem exactly is?Is the problem from client side or server side or do i need any settings for IE6.0?

    Hi Sankar,
    Did you use NW04 SP11 before (with ACF) and upgraded to NW04<b>S</b>? Your ACF version you mentioned is for NW04S and not for NW04.
    Also keep in mind that SAP changed the way Adobe forms are displayed (ACF will be replaced by the ZCI layout) - ZCI stands for Zero Client Installation. If you upgraded to 04S, you might need to change your forms as well (also the WD application).
    On your interactive forms application (the webdynpro) are there any links outside the adobe form? What happens if you click on it? At our side we have created a customer message, since the ZCI form is not being displayed. We also get a white Adobe placeholder, and when we click on a link outside the placeholder, we see the Adobe PDF logo being displayed in the placeholder (placeholder = frame).
    In your case: do you see a small red cross icon in the frame? That means ACF is not installed properly.

    I have created a offline Interactive form application based on download functionality, using Adobe form in  NWDS  WDJ . So In my application I have created one download view & In the implementation part, I have written the code in wdInit() method as,
    public void wdDoInit()
        //@@begin wdDoInit()
        IWDAttributeInfo attInfo = wdContext.currentContextElement().node().getNodeInfo().getAttribute("pdfsource");
        ISimpleTypeModifiable type = attInfo.getModifiableSimpleType();
        IModifiableSimpleValueSet binaryType = type.getSVServices().getModifiableSimpleValueSet();
         binaryType.put("FileName","TravelRequest.pdf");
         binaryType.put("MimeType","WDWebResourceType.PDF");
         String Filename =  "C:
    Shital
    offlineInteractiveForm
    src
    mimes
    Components
    com.sap.offlineinteractiveform.shital.UploadDownloadformComp
    TravelRequest.pdf";
    //@@end
    When I am trying to deploy & run my application ,It's giving me the Exception as,
    java.io.FileNotFoundException: C:\Shital\offlineInteractiveForm\src\mimes\Components\com.sap.offlineinteractiveform.shital.UploadDownloadformComp\TravelRequest.pdf (The system cannot find the path specified)
