Interactive Form Reader Toolbar

Hi,
I am developing web dynpro application with interactive forms in NWDS 7.0.6 SP16.
Firstly, the readonly property of the interactive form does not seem to be working. I have to go ahead with enabled = false property for it. Is there any particular reason for this?
Also, i am using the "Hide Reader Toolbar" from the Webdynpro library to hide the toolbar on the interactive form. When i set enabled = false for the interactive form, i see that this toolbar does not get hidden. Please let me know if there is any workaround for it.
Thanks,
Jyoti

  • ABAP-Interactive forms : Read-Only buttons upon runtime

    Hello,
    I'm fairly new at this and probably for a good reason I can't find any information pertaining to this issue.
    Using the embeded Adobe Lifecycle Designer within SAP using transaction SFP, I go to the layout tab and create a button.  On this button a make a simple script that changes the caption.
    On the PDF preview I can see that this works, though when I run the program using SE38 the button seems to be read-only and the cursor does not change nor is there any event that is triggered upon clicking.
    From what I read this is a dynamic form since there are other tables created dynamically and filled with data upon runtime.  I don't believe WebDynpro is involved considering I'm running it from the backend and the ABAP functions forward the parameters directly to this program.
    Would anybody be able to tell me why the buttons are read-only at runtime and not in 'PDF Preview'?
    Thanks a bunch,
    Scott

    Hi Sanda,
    I set DYNAMIC to 'X' and when the form is generated the buttons are still deactivated.
    Although, when I also set the FILLABLE parameter to 'N' a warning message appears telling the user that the form cannot be saved and then the buttons are clickable (and button event scripts are working).
    A problem here is that the form needs to be saved, is there a nice way to disable this error and allow the user to save the PDF?
    I also noticed another issue; Upon form load some tables are populated, depending on what certain data is, some images are changed via JavaScript.  With these current parameters this script seems to not be working.  The data has not changed and if I turn off the dynamic/fillable parameters, the script works again, any ideas?
    Thanks!  I'm almost there!

  • Web Service is not triggering  using Adobe Interactive Form

    Hello Experts,
      I know this is a common topic now , but the problem I am facing, no thread help me to solve that.
    Problem:--
    My requirement is to create an adobe form , in which
      -> an input field is needed,and some  description is needed.
    I used button to trigger my webservice.
    Here , I want to clear that , I have made a proper WEB SERVICE using Remote Enabled FM.
    My web service is working fine as I have tested from WS NAVIGATOR(Note:  http://<source>:<port>/wsnavigator).
    In Adobe Form (SFP), I have made a new Data connection using WebService WSDL.
    All Request and Response parameters are availabe in Data View palletes of Form.
    Button that is available from data connection is used.
    I  have used Button as  an Execute button , under execute tab in connection , I had given DATA CONNECTION name .
    But above things not worked so ,
    I also tried with Regular Button , and under click written Javascript/FormCalc  which is:--
    var cURL = 'http://x.y.com:8012/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/ZMATERIAL_DESCRIPTION?sap-client=800&wsdl=1.1';
    var service = SOAP.connect(cURL);
    xfa.connectionSet.DataConnection2.execute(0);
    But this also not worked .
    So, I think there can be a little issue may be , I am forgetting to click some special  atrributes in form .
    Please help me and let me know what can be probable reasons that webservice is not triggering
    Thanks a lot ,

  • PM Notification Adobe Interactive Form - How to Start?

    Hi experts!
    I´m kind of new to the Adobe interactive form creating process.
    We have a requirement of turning the SAP Plant Maintenance notifications into a more friendly, adobe interactive form.
    My question is, how do I start to develop this?
    It is basically placing the PM Notification in an adobe form, so the users will open these notifications using adobe forms.
    The same fields are being used and they have everything on SAP Netweaver Portal.
    Any advice on how to begin? Maybe some links to documentation would be great...
    Thanks so much and best regards,
    Fernando

    Hi,
    I would like to suggest to take steps like this:
    1. Start with the Printing-Report (not the interface of the adobe form)...  usually you can make a copy of the includes(get_data) of standard printing report...
    2. Try to customize(spro) the new form with new the printing programm..
    3. Does the call work to you see the adobe form ... an so on...
    4. Now you r on half way ... decide to use standard include for getting data.. or use some bapi in the interface of your form to get all data that you need.
    thats it ... (for a not interactive form)

  • How can user attach file to interactive form, and be read by abap program?

    Hello,
    I created an abap interactive form, sent to the user, then user fills out the form fields, then it is uploaded back to sap, then my program reads this data and process it.
    It works.
    Now I want users to be able to attach any file they want, and the abap program to extract this file out of the PDF, to put it into SAP (or anywhere).
    I succeeded in attaching a file, I can "see" it via function module get_annotations, but I get the file in compressed form by Adobe (filter="FlateDecode").
    Do you know how to unzip the file, or is there another way to attach files in adobe reader/extract them via abap?
    I use acrobat reader 8.1.2
    Thx a lot!
    sandra
    Below is the xml obtained by GET_ANNOTATIONS. We see that there are other text annotations, and that the attached file has {length="98005"}, though real file (before "attach file" to the PDF, and also after "detach file") has length 111 995 bytes. It's why I deduced that there is a compression (I also tried to extract it as-is and open it with adobe but it doesn't work.

    Hello everybody,
    I am sure you have an answer to my question above. It was :
    how is it possible for a user to ATTACH files to a PDF interactive form, and then be able to READ them via a program ? (I guess the solution to read them via ABAP or JAVA is quite the same?)
    Thx a lot !

  • Interactive forms takes too long to load - sometimes crashes reader.

    Hi Gurus,
    I'm just wondering if anyone have this problem?
    I just configured ADS and created a sample WD program to display an interactive form, the form is not complex, only 2 text fields and an image.
    But when I deploy or run the program, the interactive form container hangs and take very long to process before displaying.
    After I save the PDF file to a local drive, when I try to open it, it will take very long and sometimes crash my system.
    Even when I click on "PDF Preview" to view the form in NWDS it take very long too.
    At first I thought it could be due to my system and I open downloaded PDF file on other PCs, but the problem occurs too in those PCs.
    Using Acrobat Reader 8.1.2, then downgraded to 8.1.1, still no avail.
    Everytime I open the PDF or WD loads the PDF, when I check the Task Manager the process of AcroRdr32 will hog the system processes and use up the memory. I have no problems with other PDF files, only those generated by the WD application gives problems.
    Someone hit the same problem? Any advise? Could it be the ACF or Adobe lifecycle issues?
    Please help. Thanks for all answers.
    Best Regards,
    Jansen

    Hi Jansen,
    If you are using Adobe Reader 8.1.* or above and activex controls in your form, you need to install the latest version of ACF and that will resolve the issue. And do remember to uninstall your old version of Adobe Reader first and then install Reader 8.1.* freshly and after installing it proceed with ACF installation. You have to follow the sequence.
    For ACF installation you may read  Note 766191 - Active Component Framework Installation.

  • Adobe Interactive Form is displayed in Read Only mode

    Hi All,
    I created Adobe Interactive Form in SFP.
    The following properties are set to the form.
    Layout Type -ZCI Layout
    Preview Type - Interactive Form
    XDP Preview Format - Acrobat 7.0.5 Dynamic PDF
    In PDF preview tab, I can enter data into the Text Fields.
    I added this form in a web dynpro ABAP application using Interactive Form UI element.
    The following properties are set to the UI element.
    DataSource - bound to the context
    displayType - native
    enabled - checked
    templateSource - Formname
    readonly - unchecked.
    When I run this application, the form is displayed in readonly mode.
    I can't enter any data into the text field.
    Any of you guys know that how to resolve this?
    Thanks
    Thruna

    Hi,
    I already face the same issue and after several days working on this issue and many hours on debugging it seems that interface type is very important if you want to use the form in WD4A (this requirement is confirmed by SAP thru an OSS message for me )
    Does the interface based on DDIC or XML ?
    If it's a DDIC interface , sorry that can't works in WD4A as interactive forms. You must define the interface as based on XML for this .
    Hope this help you.
    PS : Finally ,as my forms was very complicated my customer decide to not make it available in WD4A .....

  • Reading Dynamic Table Values in interactive form (web Dynpro ABAP)

    Hi All,
    I have created a Web Dynpro ABAP application which contains an Interactive Form, That Adobe Interactive Form contains Dynamic table (New rows can be added manually and deleted using a button).
    I am not able to read the Dynamic table values in Web Dynpro u201COn Submitu201D.
    In the Adobe form I have web Dynpro native button (I am using ZCI), while clicking the native button I need to read the dynamic table values.
    How can I resolve this problem.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Boopathi M

    that means, when u add the table instance at runtime, you will also have to add an element to the node that is bound to the table.
    probably addNew() mathos may be useful to you.
    it appends a new record to the record set.
    xfa.sourceSet.dataConnectionName.addNew()
    also when on the exit event of the table field, do the following:
    var i = xfa.parent.index
    $record.rootnodename.tablenodename.data<i>.fieldname = $.rawValue
    xfa.host.messageBox($record.rootnodename.tablenodename.data<i>.fieldname)

  • Interactive Form - How to make fields read-only through the code?

    Simple question but i can't seem to figure out how to do it. I have an interactive form that have editable fields. How do I toggle fields to make some of them read-only through the code. Please provide cold sample. thanks a lot.

    <b>Nagarajan Kumarappan:</b>
    I know how to do that but that's setting the value at design time. Mine has to be done at runtime(when the page loads) because there are a lot of condidtions determining which fields should be and should not be readonly. therefore I have to do in the code. Any by saying code I mean Java not java script or formcal.
    <b>kushagra mittal:</b>
    are you talking about regular webdynpro input fields? I am asking for that. I am talking about input fields inside my adobe interactive form embedded on the webdynpro page.
    I think what needs to be done is to disable context attributes like Nagarajan Kumarappan suggested but do that through Java which I don't see any tutorials show that.
    still looking for help.

  • Reader-enabled form from Acrobat is retaining interactive form fields when user saves the form

    This is an issue that has only recently come up. In the past it was not a problem to take a pdf, add interactive form fields to it in LiveCycle, then open the form in Acrobat and enable usage rights for Reader users.
    This allowed Reader users to fill out the form and save the results. With the most recent versions of Acrobat and Reader the user saves the form and the data AND the interactive form fields are saved in the resulting file - meaning that the data is still there to be changed. Clearly not what we want and not what Acrobat and Reader were doing previously.
    The form does properly display "You can save data typed in this form" when opened in Reader.
    I have got no response to this issue in the LiveCycle forum, and nothing shows up in a search. I would very much like to fix this, as it is affecting our entire library of pdf forms.

    In most instances the form is linked on the website, so the original form will cannot be overwritten.
    In some cases we have to supply an interactive pdf for a department that they will then distribute by email to various groups who are expected to fill the form out on submit on an ongoing basis. That is what I was meaning by the user filling out the form, printing it, and then being prompted to save changes.
    The bigger issue is that most of our users expect to take a form hosted on the website, fill it out, and then save a pdf copy of their responses for reference. The reference copy is retaining the interactive fields rather than printing as a static pdf.
    If I could force the action of printing as a pdf (rather than saving as a pdf) on submission I think that would solve the issue. The script for most of the forms in the library is xfa.host.print(1, "0", (xfa.host.numPages -1).toString(), 0, 0, 0, 0, 0); and I am not aware of a way to force the print to only be to the pdf print driver.

  • Can't open interactive form with adobe reader mobile version

    Hello,
    I have an interactive PDF document which I would like to open with my mobile phone (Android) and the adobe reader. If I open the document an error message appears.
    Do we need to adjust the script to enable interactive forms also on mobile devices? The pdf document can be opend on my PC without issues.
    Thank you

    Hi,
    Based on your description, I believe that the PDF Form that you are trying to open and fill out is an XFA form. Mobile Reader currently cannot display XFA forms.For these XFA PDF files, you will need to open them on your desktop Adobe Reader to read and fill the form.
    Thanks,
    Adobe Reader Team

  • Hiding toolbars in Interactive form element

    Hi all,
    I am using interactive form element to embed a purely readonly pdf (but content is dynamic) since Iframes is deprecated (any other way?).
    I wish to hide the toolbars, options of  thumbnails etc. I added the code below to my view controller. However, it does not seem to work. All the toolbars are still showing. Did i do something wrong?
    IWDPDFDocumentInteractiveFormHandler iFormHandler =
    WDPDFDocumentFactory.getDocumentHandler(wdThis.wdGetAPI(),
                 "InteractiveForm");
    IWDPDFDocumentAppearance appearance =
          iFormHandler.getDocumentContext().getAppearance();
    appearance.hideMenuBar(true);
    appearance.hideToolBars(true);
    appearance.hideWindowControl(true);
    TIA

    Hi,
    As the error suggests that you do not have any certificate configured in your key store which is required to authenticate the client to the ADS. You would require to install a client certificate on your Web Dynpro/Portal server that will be used to authenticate the Web Service call to ADS.
    But the question is whether you need "Https" for a server to server communication (from your portal server to ADS server) ? Normally, these two servers reside in the LAN. And i suppose you are not using any of the secured functionalities of interactive form (for example, digital signature, certification etc.). I assume that you need "https" call from browser to the portal server and then from portal server to the ADS should be on http. Please confirm on that. If that is the case, then you can follow the section below to change the "protocolSchemeForADSCall" to "http" always. This is what you would need to do in the Visual Administrator where your portal/web dynpro is installed:
    In Visual Administrator. Go to ->
    Server -> Services -> Configuration Adapter -> webdynpro -> sap.com ->
    tcwddispwda -> Propertysheet default
    Then goto property sap.protocolSchemeForADSCall
    This property is available after you apply SAP note 849730.
    Possible values are:
    - request: same protocal scheme than the request to Web Dynpro has
    - https: always use https
    - http: always use http
    SET the value as http. This will ensure that web Dynpro to ADS communication always happens on http, rather than on https.
    Should you need to install SSL based communication between the two, you would need to follow the note:
    838111 > How to configure SSL for Adobe Document Services
    Best Regards,
