Interactive Form/Report - href

Question

Page 2 is interactive report/Page 3 is form for report
Currently have interactive report link on field set up as this:
Link Text: #DOCNO#
Link Attributes: href=#DOC_LINK#, target=_blank
URL: #DOC_LINK#
All works as anticipated and fine.
But when the user changes the status of the document using select list on form (page 3) (i.e. active to obsolete) the file path changes for the link. This updates on the form (:P3_DOC_LINK) per the code below and works fine as a field on the form, but I need it to be used as the link to the url on the report:

For some reason the doc_link field was not updating to its respective table. recreated the buttons and all fixed.
