Interactive Report Displaying Multiple Values (Chart)

Hi guys,
Is there a way to display multiple values into a chart report. Normally there is a combobox and you can only select one value. But i want to display multiple values into one chart and i have to use interactive report because sql report is not enough for me.
Apex product build is 4.0.2.00.07.
Thanks

Any ideas ?
Thanks.

  • Date range to be displayed  & Displaying multiple values on the report

    Hi,
    I have date range parameters, but I also need it to be displayed it on the report. Is there any way I can display it. E.G If a parameter is created one can drag and drop it on the report if it needs to be displayed on the report, I tried to do the same for the date range parameter but it does not work.
    Also If a parameter is created by selecting the option 'Allow Multiple Values', and if you drag and drop it on the report only the first value is displayed and the rest does not show. Has anyone tried this before and been successful in displaying multiple values in the report.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    A multi-value parameter is actually treated as an array in Crystal Reports.
    To display the values selected in the parameter, create a formula from the Field Explorer and type this code:
    Join({?ParameterName},",");
    Place this formula on the header or the footer sections of the report.
    Regarding the date range issue, please follow Sastry's advice and it should work fine.
    Make sure you're using the parameter in the Minimum and Maximum functions. For eg: If I was to create a date range parameter called OrderDate, my formula to show the start date would look like this:
    Minimum({?OrderDate})

  • Link to interactive report with filter values containing : or %

    Hi,
    I have an application written in PL/SQL. The application takes input from users, and then constructs a URL for an interactive report, concatenating the user input as filter values for the report. Sometimes, the input values contain characters such as the colon (:) or the percent sign (%). In these instances, APEX appears to ignore the rest of the URL beyond the first colon or percent sign in the filter values. For example, in the following URL, the first filter value is "Oracle Database 11g: Workshop I":
    http://abc.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=129:8::::8,CIR:IRC_TITLE,IR_PROJECT_STATUS:Oracle Database 11g: Workshop I,Completed
    The Interactive Report displayed for this URL shows all courses whose title contains "Oracle Database 11g" -- in other words, more records are displayed than should have been if the complete set of filters were applied in the query (i.e., TITLE = Oracle Database 11g: Workshop I, and PROJECTS_STATUS = Completed).
    How should I construct the URL so that the colons (:) and percent signs (%) which may be part of the filter values are treated correctly?
    Thanks,
    Jenny

    Thanks to Joel Kallman, here's the answer:
    The ‘f’ procedure has a parameter named p_sep. This is the separator used for the arguments in the ‘p’ parameter in the call to the ‘f’ procedure. The default value for this separator is ‘:’, obviously.
    If you have data values that contain the separator, then you can use a different character for your separator (you may need to manually specify the URL instead of using the declarative link attributes of a column in a report).
    Using the pipe symbol ‘|’, I was able to take:
    http://st-curr.us.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=129:8::::8,CIR:IRC_ROWFILTER:Database 11g: Administration Workshop I
    and change it to:
    http://st-curr.us.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=129|8||||8,CIR|IRC_ROWFILTER|Database 11g: Administration Workshop I&p_sep=|
    which now works.

  • Display multiple values for a characteristic for Equipment.

    Hi is there any way to display multiple values for characteristics of an equipment. Ex. An equipment (Presss) produces multiple ROH Parts. The class VN_TOOl with charactersistic "Part Produced" . When I run IH08 and execute the query, >Show , hide classification I can only get just one part instead of multiple parts. How do I get multiple values for the characteristic

    Yes Chandra,
    You are not getting it in IH08, but you are getting it in IE07. See this.

    If you want the report in the ALV layout, then you need to go for a development using FMs in Classification areas such as:

  • Displaying Multiple Values on GUI components - best way to implement

    Hi,
    my program needs to implement a basic function that most commercial programs use very widely: If the program requires that a GUI component (say a JTextField) needs to display multiple values it either goes <blank> or say something more meaningfull like "multiple values". What is the best way of implementing it?
    In particular:
    My data is a class called "Student" that among other things has a field for the student name, like: protected String name; and the usual accessor methods (getName, setName) for it.
    Assuming that the above data (i.e. Student objects) is stored in a ListModel and the user can select multiple "Students", if a JTextField is required to display the user selection (blank for multiple selections, or the student "name" for a single selection), what is the best (OO) way of implementing it? Is there any design pattern (best practice) for this basic piece of functionality? A crude way is to have the JTextField check and compare all the time the user selections one by one, but I'm sure there must be a more OO/better approach.
    Any ideas much appreciated.
    Kyri.

    Ok, I will focus on building a solution on 12c.
    right now I have used a USER_DATASTORE with a procedure to glue all the field together in one document.
    This works fine for the search.
    I have created a dummy table on which the index is created and also has an extra field which contains the key related to all the tables.
    So, I have the following tables:
    dummy_search
    contracts
    contract_ref
    person_data
    nac_data
    and some other tables...
    the current design is:
    the index is on dummy_search.
    When we update contracts table a trigger will update dummy_search.
    same configuration for the other tables.
    Now we see locking issues when having a lot of updates on these tables as the same time.
    What is you advice for this situation?
    Thanks,
    Edward

  • Displaying multiple values

    Hello,
    I have a form with 3 tab pages, in which I am able to display multiple values from the table, but I need to display multiple values for a particular employee. I tried using a loop but it didn't work, and without a loop it only shows one record for an employee.
    Thanks,
    Nikita

    Hello,
    I want to make an LOV for a tab page. The LOV will find an employee and display all the skills for that employee in a scroll bar . However my LOV displays only one skill for the employee eventhough the employee has three skills in the database. Is there any way to display all three skills?
    Hopefully this makes it more clear.

  • APEX Interactive Report - sum multiple columns table1 X with table2 value

    I have a challenge in oracle apex, were i want to sum multiple columns to give 3 extra rows namely points, Score, %score. There are more columns but chose only few for now.
    Below is an example structure of my data:
    Town | Sector | Outside| Inside |Available|Price
    Roy-----Formal----0----------0----------1------0
    Kobus Formal--0 ---------0--------- 1------0
    Wika ---Formal----0----------0--------- 1------0
    Mevo----Formal----1----------1---------1------0
    Hoch----Formal----1----------1---------1-------1
    Points--------------2----------2----------5-------1
    Score-------------10---------10---------10------10
    %score-----------20---------20---------50------10
    Each column has a constant weighting (which serves as a factor and it can change depending on the areas) in this case the weighting for this areas are the ones in the first row for the sector Formal:
    Sector |Outside| Inside |Available|Price
    Formal----1----------1 ----------1-----1
    Informal--1----------0 ----------2-----1
    I tried using the aggregate sum function in apex but it wont work since i need the factor in the other table. Which is where my challenge started
    To compute the rows below the report:
    points = sum per column * weighting factor per column
    Score = sum of no of shops visited (in this case its 5) * weighting factor per column
    % score = points/Score * 100
    The report should display as described above. With the new computed rows below.
    I kindly ask anyone to assist me with this challenge as i tried searchin on the internet for solutions but havent come across any.
    Thanks a lot for your support in advance!!

It would be much easier to do this in a standard report where you've complete control over the query SQL and the report structure.
    When you have a problem you'll get a faster, more effective response by including as much relevant information as possible upfront. This should include:
    <li>Full APEX version
    <li>Full DB/version/edition/host OS
    <li>Web server architecture (EPG, OHS or APEX listener/host OS)
    <li>Browser(s) and version(s) used
    <li>Theme
    <li>Template(s)
    <li>Region/item type(s) (making particular distinction as to whether a "report" is a standard report, an interactive report, or in fact an "updateable report" (i.e. a tabular form)
    With APEX we're also fortunate to have a great resource in apex.oracle.com where we can reproduce and share problems. Reproducing things there is the best way to troubleshoot most issues, especially those relating to layout and visual formatting. If you expect a detailed answer then it's appropriate for you to take on a significant part of the effort by getting as far as possible with an example of the problem on apex.oracle.com before asking for assistance with specific issues, which we can then see at first hand.

  • Crystal Report Parameter multiple values

    In crsytal report 2008, I created a report to enable user to view list of sales order. I created the following parameter to display list of sales order:
    doc@select docnum from ORDR
    In SAP B1 8.8, it displays a dropdown list of SO and users can select one sales order at a time to view the report. However, is there a way for users select MULTIPLE SO from the dropdown. I know in the parameter properties, you can set the 'enable range values' to TRUE. The end result of that is it generates a range for users to choose from (docnum next to each other). Instead of selecting range of SOs, is there a way for users to select random SO from the list? Example, from the list, select SO 13000, 13010, 14000 etc. Thanks.

    Daniel,
    Excellent, I changed
    - list of values from static to dynamic
    - changed toke from @select docnum to @select *
    - changed select criteria from docnum to docentry
    The list works fine.
    From the multiple values selection screen in SAP, it shows the following three columns:
    - Value (DocEntry)
    - Description (DocNum)
    - Check Box
    I was able to hide the vlaue (docentry) column from form settings. However, can I change the name of 'Description' to something more meaningful like 'Sales Order #'? Also, the description column is really wide. Is there any way I can narrow the column width?

  • Dynamic Action based on Interactive Report Select List Value

    I'd like to perform a Dynamic Action when a user selects one of 3 options from a Select List within an Interactive Report:
    select APEX_ITEM.SELECT_LIST(
    p_idx => 3,
    --p_value         =>   deptno,
    p_list_values => 'Copy;Copy,Delete;Delete,Export to PDF;Export to PDF',
    --p_attributes    =>   'style="color:red;"',
    p_show_null => 'YES',
    p_null_value => NULL,
    p_null_text => '--Select--',
    --p_item_id       =>   'f03_#ROWNUM#',
    p_item_id => 'P6_IR_SELECT_LIST',
    p_item_label => 'Label for f03_#ROWNUM#',
    p_show_extra => 'YES') "Actions"
    from dual;
    When building the Dynamic Action, I chose the following values from the Advanced wizard
    Event: Select
    Selection Type: DOM Object
    DOM Object: P6_IR_SELECT_LIST
    Condition: Equal to
    Value: "Delete"
    True Action: Execute Javascript Code: Alert('Here');
    Doesn't seem to be firing...can anyone help?
    Thanks in advance,
    John

    Hi,
    I am not sure if the "equal to" condition applies to a DOM object... after all, a DOM object can be anything (any HTML element) not only a field.
    Try using a javascript expression instead, like this:
    $v('P6_IR_SELECT_LIST')=='Delete'UPDATE: Sorry, I just tested and "equal to" condition works for DOM objects... should have tested before posting!

  • Interactive Report - Display New/Changed Columns

    Hi,
    when I add or change a column in Interactive Reports, APEX doesn't show me the new column automatically.
    Everytime the user log in, he has to go on "Actions" and "Select Columns" manually, otherwise the new/changed column won't be displayed.
    How can I do that the column is displayed automatically after login?
    I am using APEX 4.0.2.00.07.
    Regards,
    Marc

    Either you, as a Developer, can save the report as Public.
    Or an aithorized user can save the report as a General/Shared Report.
    Or the user can save the report as a Private one.
    Pick the columns you/user wants to see. Then [Action -> Save]

  • Interactive Reports: Display data on two lines per row?

    Is it somehow possible to display a single row across two lines in an interactive report?
    Something like this:
    Row1 Field 1, Row1 Field 2, Row1 Field 3
    Row1 Field 4 (spanning across the other fields)
    Row2 Field 1, Row2 Field 2, Row2 Field 3
    Row2 Field 4 (spanning across the other fields)
    Row3 Field 1, Row3 Field 2, Row3 Field 3
    Row3 Field 4 (spanning across the other fields)
    ... etc
    For example, I have a "Remarks" column that would look better on its own line, rather than being squeezed into the same row with the other columns.
    I realize that this layout might not be possible out-of-the-box, but I was thinking that perhaps some javascript/jQuery trick could be used. Unfortunately, my jQuery-fu is not strong yet, so I'm asking for help...
    (I also know that this type of layout is possible using a classic report with a custom template, but I would prefer to use the Interactive Report if at all possible.)

  • Interactive Report with multiple SQL

    I have an Interactive report that currently show info from 1 query. I want to be able to include info from another query on the report (like a master detail).
    I see it mentioned on the New features that it can now support multiple SQL's. How do you do it?

    Bob,
    Interactive Reports only support 1 query. You can write your query to pull data from multiple tables but only have one query. The new feature you are recalling is the 'Report Queries' now support multiple queries. Report Queries are under Shared Components and are used for custom pdf, excel, etc. printing - different feature.

    When a report is grouped by one column, is there anyway to have that column display once instead of for each record? I can do this easily in Crystal and we're in the process of loading BI Publisher...just wonder if it's possible in coding the reports directly in the Apex report display.

  • Interactive Reporting - Dragging a Pie Chart into a Report

    I have a report that contains about 5 charts at the end of all the tables containing data (the charts are in the report footer). I have created a new pie chart and want to drag it into the report footer as well. When I drag it in, it goes at the very beginning of the report footer. I have tried dragging it down and it seems to only want to stay on that very first page of the report footer. I am not able to move it onto a different page. How do I make this work? What I'd really like to do is add a new page in the middle of the charts and put this new chart on that new page ... but i couldn't figure out how to do that, so I was just going to drag the new chart to the very bottom of the other charts.
    Thanks.

    I had a case where I needed "extra" Report Footers. To do this I created bogus Report Group Columns in my results section with a constant value, same for all rows.
    I then used this as a Report Group in the Report Section. I turned off the Group Header and Turned On the Group Footer with a Page Break Before or After. If you have other Report Groups then you would need to make the Bogus Report Group Column before any of your business report groups.
