Interface Multiple types of file to table

Hii...Experts...
I got a problem which I can't able to solve.please help me.
My problem is: In a folder there are many types of files such as .txt files, .csv files, .xlsx files .
I want to make a single package such a way that the package have 3 different interface and the interfaces are .txt filr/table, .csv file/table and .xlsx file/table.
When I run the package ,all files should load into their corresponding table.and whether some new file(may be txt or csv or excel) is added to the folder, then the file should load to the corresponding table.
How to do such package??? please suggest.
thanks

SRK ,
Step 1. Get all the FileName for txt Files
Step 2. Process them one by one using an Interface and load them in target
Step 3. Now get all the FileName for csv Files
Step 4. Process them one by one using an Interface and load them in target
Step 5. Now get all the FileName for xls Files
Step 6. Process them one by one using an Interface and load them in target

    Write the file types in pattern Input string, separated by a semicolon ;
    For example:  *.vi;*.doc;*.jpeg;*.xls
This should return the set of files with matching extensions

Dealing With The Resume Feature of Lion
Managing Mac OS X Lion's application resume feature.
If you shutdown your computer you should get a dialog asking if you want applications to resume on the next startup. Simply uncheck the box to prevent that from occurring. Open General preferences and uncheck the option to Restore windows when quitting and re-opening apps. You can also install a third-party utility to control resume features on individual applications: RestoreMeNot or Application State Cleaner.
It is possible to completely stop the Resume feature although I'm unconvinced that it is that annoying. Nevertheless see the following:
If you have not yet done so you must first make your /Home/Library/ folder visible. Open the Terminal application in the Utilities folder. At the prompt paste the following command line:
    chflags nohidden ~/Library
Press RETURN. Quit the Terminal application.
In the Finder navigate to the /Home/Library/Saved Application State/ folder. Delete the contents of the folder. Back up to the /Home/Library/ folder. Select the Saved Application State folder. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window. In the Sharing and Permissions panel at the bottom click on the lock icon and authenticate. Set each of the listed entries to Read Only. Close the Get Info window.
Quit all open programs except the Finder (this is very important.) Next, navigate to the /Home/Library/Preferences/ByHost/ folder. Look for a .plist file with "com.apple.loginwindow." in the file name followed by some numbers in hexadecimal. Select the file. Press COMMAND-I to open the Get Info window and in the Sharing and Permissions panel click on the lock icon and authenticate. Set each of the listed entries to Read Only. Close the Get Info window. If you also find a file with the same filename but with a last extension of ".lockfile," then you should delete it.
The above should eliminate the Resume feature system-wide. Note that any future system updates or upgrades will likely undo these changes. You will then need to repeat this procedure assuming there are no major changes in OS X related to it.

  • Extract Multiple Rows from a Single Table into a Single Row in a New Table

I have a table in a database that contains contact data like name, address, phone number, etc.
The folks who designed the database and wrote the application wrote it so that all contact records are placed in that table, regardless of contact type. In fact, the contacts table does not even have a column for "type" even though there are many
different types of contacts present in that table.
I am trying to write a mail merge style report in SRSS, that gets sent to a specific type of contact, based on criteria provided that must be obtained from another table, and that data is then used to get back to a specific set of contacts from the contacts
    table.
The attached file directly below describes my problem and all related information in an extremely detailed way.
    SRSSMailMergeIssue.pdf
Unless there is a way to make a SRSS Tablix point to two different data sets in SRSS, it looks like I have to combine multiple rows from the same table into a new table.
If anyone can review the details in the attached pdf file and possibly point me in the direction I need to run to solve this probelm, I would greatly appreciate it.
I also included a document (below) that shows the tables I reference in the probelm description.

  • How to insert data from file to table??

I need to know that how can i insert data in multiple column through file. I can simply insert data in one column table but couldnt find out the way to put data in all column.
My data store in a file
    ************************************************text.txt***************
    133, shailendra, nagina, 14/H, 45637, 9156729863
    **************************************************************my_data(table)**********
trying to insert into below table...
id, name, last_name, add, pin. mob
Let me know if anything else needed..:)

    Hi Shailendra,
Actually, in SQL Developer, you can open a connection to the target schema, right-click on the Tables node in the navigator tree view, select Import Data, then use the Data Import Wizard. It is extremely flexible. It looks like you have a comma separated variable file, so if you select Format: csv and Import Method: insert it will probably work just fine.
To minimize the chance of errors during import, pick a preview limit value so the wizard can examine the size and data type of all columns in as many data rows as possible, then review the data type/size for each column in the next wizard page and override as necessary. For date columns it is also important to choose the appropriate format mask.
    Hope this helps,
    Gary

  • Multiple message through FIle Adapter using XI 2.0

    001     A      XI
    002     B      JAVA

Can we do it in XI 2.0.Any help appreciated

    Hi Suraj.
Thank you very mutch for your reply.
Excuse me...my mapping is done for message type and idoc.
My problem is that when the interface start, on the sxmb_moni I see an error like this:

..where 'gestione_magazzini' is my namespace and 'MM_XmlOrderToIdocMapping' is my message mapping.
Can you help me to undestand the problem?

  • Splitting multiple IDoc XML files into single IDoc messages for R/3

Hi all. I have a problem splitting IDoc XML files coming in to XI. I currently have an interface that takes in single store sale IDoc transactions (type WPUBON01) in an IDoc XML file. I then have some complex graphical mapping on the IDoc before sending to R/3 via the IDoc adapter. This works fine. However, we now wish to include multiple sales in one file i.e. many WPUBON01 IDocs. I could use message splitting to do this BUT the mapping is so complex, I do not wish to have to change it to enable the processing of many IDocs in one file instead of just one.
What I want to do: have one mapping splitting a multiple IDoc XML file into single IDoc messages and then another taking these single messages as before and performing the mapping. I cannot find a way to do this in one interface; the main problem I'm having is getting XI to split the multiple IDocs into many single IDoc messages within XI itself. I'd be very grateful for any advice on the best way to do this.
    Thankyou.
    Stuart Richards (Halfords, UK)

    Bhavesh,
Thanks again for a clear explanation... I'm moving forwards but still struggling. I've been on this all afternoon today (after a break on other things) and just cannot get my message to split properly (though the SOAP adapter problem I had earlier is now fixed!). If my initial IDoc XML file contains this format:
    <WPUBON01><IDOC>....</IDOC>
                          <IDOC>....</IDOC>
                          <IDOC>....</IDOC></WPUBON01>
.. I'm not sure what the cardinaility on the first message mapping and interface mapping should be. I'd have thought the source interface would be 1 and the target would be 0..unbounded but this isn't working. I'm trying different things but I get different errors each time. Currently, I have the above cardinality in my first interface and I'm passing in the following data:

SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 500 Internal Server Error
Exception caught by adapter framework: SOAP Error
Delivery of the message to the application using connection AFW failed, due to: SOAP Error.
Any ideas as to what this might be?! I'm getting there.... if I get a solution out of this, I promise to write the blog myself!
    Cheers

  • Multiple xml source file loading ?

    Hi,
I've already managed to set some multiple flat file as source, but the question is :
How to set some multiple XML source files ? (to read ally xml files stored in a folder for instance)
I link the XML file directly in topology instead of doing it in my model. So how can I change the file name dynamically ?
    Any advice ?
    Thanks
    Pierre-Henri

    Hi,
all right I followed the explanation on this link :
Looping a folder for pattern files
The set up is ok, but I generate this error message :
The scenario did not end properly.
When I'm trying to run the interface alone (without v_FileName obviously), I get this error :
java.sql.SQLException: Table not found: D in statement ...
I created my XML model, then I defined it's ressource model as D:\mypath\001.xml. Into the interface, as my model uses XML technology, I can only use LKM SQL to SQL knowledge model.
When I look at operator, I can see it tries to run this following SQL code :
    select
    attribute 1,
    attribute 2,
    from     schema.D:mypath001.xml CD
    where     (1=1)
schema.D:mypath001.xml is probably the wrong part :)
Do you have an idea to get your example (on txt files) running with some xml files ?
    thanks for your time

  • Large array of objects/multiple types in an array

I've been working on a program over the last several months, and I am bothered because I am using an two-dimensional array containing multiple types. A visual representation is as follows:
    ______label1 label2 label3
    label 1 Int Int Int
    label 2 Int Int Int
    label 3 Int Int Int
The labels are strings, Int represents a numeric value representing a relationship between labelx and labely. Ultimately with the dataset I'm working with, there are hundreds of rows and columns. To complicate matters, I've been putting summary data (e.g. an average) at the end of each row and column to sort the whole thing.
Because this data structure mirrors the ultimate output--a matrix in text file--it is appealing. But it also violates the rule of only having one datatype in an array. Currently it is declared as Object[][], which gives me the flexibility I need. I can think of other solutions, but they are not as intuitive and seem needlessly complex.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks.

I'd be thinking of writing a class that represents the data (labels, values and calculated summaries). Perhaps using one of the already existing implementations of TableModel.
Because this data structure mirrors the ultimate output--a matrix in text file--it is appealing. Perhaps the appeal is deceptive. Outputting the data to a file is, presumably, only one of the things you are going to do with it. The methods of a class written to represent this data can model the actual behaviour of the data, something beyond the capacities of the jack-of-all-trades array.
But it also violates the rule of only having one datatype in an array. Currently it is declared as Object[][], which gives me the flexibility I need. Of course I have no idea of the flexibility you need. (Or what imposes this constraint.) But I would consider it more flexible if I were able to change the actual implementation later - without affecting the code that uses this data. For instance if the data were to grow truely huge I might want to obtain it from a database and never have the whole thing in memory at once (whether as an array or any other way). Or I could desire the data to be obtained from sources on the internet via a URL. Or I could learn more about Collections and end up considering their utility methods of such great value that the array based implementation should give way.

The point is that a MyTableModel type (especially if it were an interface) would enable users of the data to keep on doing whatever they needed to with the data (including saving it to file). While the actual implemention could change: double array one day, Lists the next, a database after that, user interaction via a JTable...
I can think of other solutions, but they are not as intuitive and seem needlessly complex.Try them, compare them.
Bear in mind that one's intuitions and needs are apt to change.

  • Error while determining ref.mov.type for WM via Table 156S: 647/ / / /L/ /

    Guyz,
Firstly despite the plant+storage location + warehouse no. assignments are done , my replenishment delivery (delivery for stock transport order between plants under same company code) is not picking up storage location and warehouse no and thus stopping me from doing picking and PGI (post goods issue).
However in VL02N when i'm trying to change storage location for line item, i'm getting following weird error
    *Error while determining ref.mov.type for WM via Table 156S: 647/ / / /L/ /*
I found a SAP Note(133223) regarding this error and VL02 transaction but that note was specific to older versions. I'm on ECC 6.0
    Any suggestions please ?
    Thanks

Warehouse managment has its own movement types, most identical to inventory management movement types.
These WM movement types are determined via reference movement types.
the error you have just looks like your customizing is not complete.
IMG > LE > WM > Interfaces > IM > define movement types.

  • How to load multiple .wrl (VRML) files?

    Hi all,
I need to load four components of a coffee table into the virtual universe, the four components are top, base, left leg and right leg. I use four parts not one whole single object because in this way when I change the size of this furniture, I can make the thickness of the edges fixed, which is a must. The four parts consist a table correctly in the design software TopSolid, but when I load the four .wrl ojbect files seperately in the application, they cannot compose a table correctly. I guess the reason is the four components have been resized and translated automatically in the VRML loader. I have reviewed the source code of the VRML loader and some related source code but not be able to find where the auto resize code is.
I have used four Wavefront .obj files instead to do another technical demonstration, if I disable the ObjectFile.RESIZE flag, and just scale the four parts by myself using the same scale factor, I can get a perfect coffee table, with every part in correct location. But my supervisor insist on using VRML .wrl files in our project.
I hope someone can give me some kind instructions or advises on how to do it in VRML97 loader (https://j3d-vrml97.dev.java.net/).
Any help will be highly appreciated.

  • Convert text file to table on Import

We have a lot of tables, that we'd like to maintain outside of FrameMaker (we're using FM9).  I've been trying to figure out the best way to do it, and using the Import>File>Convert option seems like the best.
However, my question is what is best practice for the type of files we use?  At first it seemed like using Excel and saving as a .csv or tab-delimited text file would be easiest.  But there doesn't seem to be a .csv convert option and setting "," as the delimiter means we can't use commas inside the cell content.  And it seems to import tab-delimited cells that contain a comma inside quotes.
It seems like the other option would be to use HTML for the table content.  We are new to all this stuff, so using HTML would add to the learning curve, but I can push it through if it's best practice/will make the cleanest conversions.  Or is there a way to use Excel that converts cleanly that I just haven't figured out?
    Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Last year, based upon a comment on this forum, I imported an Excel table into a structured FrameMaker document by copy. FrameMaker created the table and applied its own version of a structure. For example, row elements were named ROW, cell elements were named CELL, etc. Because my table structure used different names, I had to change them to make the structure valid. There may have been some subtle issues with the table element itself. It was not clean but it got the job done.
Regarding Michael's suggestion  about XML, I DID try this once, and it worked fine. The exported XML from Excel was simple and clean. The XSLT was therefore easy to write. If you have lots of tables to do, this might be the best way to go. It may take some work to get it working correctly, but once it is, subsequent work will be minimized.
Regarding XML from Excel, I was using the old Excel format xls. I have not worked with the newer xlsx format, which IS based upon XML. If you are using xlsx, I would be sure to export as XML and not "save" as XML (not sure what the command would be) in order to avoid getting all the XML used in newer Excel to store formatting and other meta information.
    Good luck.
