Interlacing (with example) problem

Hi I have a problem with interlacing on FCE. Mostly I'll use MacTheRipper for a video and then I use VisualHub to get it to DV format and do my editing and many times I end up with this.

I'm sure the flitching has something to do with frame rate but also if you notice there are lacing lines allover.

It looks like you had the field dominance reversed when you deinterlaced.
The software you are using is doing it, so you could try to reverse it,
or just disable the deinterlacing.
If you can get smooth interlaced playback in Final Cut,
you've dealt with the jerkiness problem.
Experiment with field dominance in the Sequence Settings window.
If all the footage is interlaced, edit it in an interlaced sequence.
If you're going to DVD, you can stay interlaced.
If you're uploading for web playback, deinterlace when you export
using QuickTime conversion. You'll lose some clarity.
(Apple's Compressor application can do excellent deinterlacing,
at the expense of long render times, but it's not part of FCE.)

Have downloaded for example: Queen – Bohemium Rhapsody from a compilation album as well as a few complete Queen Album CDs into the iTunes library and then put them into playlists,
When I go onto my phone and select Queen on the MUSIC app using Songs tab at the bottom of the screen it will display all Queen songs and their resective Alum pics, that is all those not in a complilation album, .
If I know the song title I can select the songs tab and find the song that way,
I’ve tried fiddling with the settings in the iTunes app by going to ‘get info’ tab and trying to sort the problem out that way but am not having much luck.What I want the phone to do is show, for example all Queens songs including those in compilation albums. Can this be done, would be grateful for any ideas on how it can be done, that is if ic can be done, any ideas

PLEASE HELP ME WITH DM PROBLEM

Hi Guys,
I kindly ask for your help with regards to my DM project. As you might recall, I am working on a project that is related to the field of agriculture and that has as an objective to find the "optimal values" of the operating conditions that affect the outcome (the amount of meat produced i.e. the weight) of an animal production (chicken broilers in my case). To do so, I have to use historical data of previous productions as my training dataset. The length a production cycle is typically around 44 days. For each production, a data acquisition system stores the real-time and historical data of hundreds of parameters. These parameters represent sensor measurements of all the operating conditions (current temperature, set point temperature, humidity, static pressure, etc...) and these are what I refer to as the inputs. The operating costs and the production outcome are what I refer to as outputs. The operating cost is indirectly computed from parameters like water consumption, feed consumption, heater/cooling runtimes, and lighting runtime; and the outcome of a production is defined by parameters like animal mortality and conversion factor (amount of feed in Lbs to produce 1Lb of meat). So the main objective of this project is to find the set of optimal daily values (1value/day) for the inputs that would minimize the operating costs and conversion ratio outputs.
The biggest problem I am facing right now is the following: The historical data that I have in the DB are time series for each measured parameter. Some of these time series follow some kind of cyclic pattern (e.g. daily water/feed consumption ) while others follow an increasing/decreasing trend (animal weight, total heater run time, total water/feed consumption..). My goal is to be able to come up with a model that suggests a set of curves for the optimal daily values throughout the length of the production cycle, one curve for each measured input/output parameter. This model would allow the farmer to closely monitor his production on a daily basis to make sure his production parameters follow the optimal curves suggested by my model. I have looked at ANN and I think it might be the solution to my problem since it allows to model multiple input/outputs problems (Am I wrong?), but I could not figure out a way to model the inputs/outputs as time series (an array of values for each parameter). As far as I know, all kinds of classifiers accept only single valued samples.
One approach would be to create one classifier/day (e.g. for day1: extract a single value for each parameter and use these values as a training sample and repeat this for all previous production to construct the training set). The problem with this approach is that 44 or so classifiers will be constructed (hard to manage all of this) and each of these resulting ANN will be some kind of typical average of the training data but not necessarily the optimal values leading to the best production outcome, if I am not mistaken.
Another approach would be to find a way to feed in the inputs and outputs as time series (an array of 44 daily values for each input/output parameter). In this case, there would be only one resulting ANN and the training samples, would be a set of arrays for each parameter, as opposed to single daily parameter values in the first case. The problem is, I could not find any classifier that would allow me to do that.
Another issue that I have is the amount of data. While a single production cycle could represent 1-2GB of data, the length of the production cycle (44 days) makes it difficult to have 100s of production cycle historical data, as I could gather data for no more than 7 full cycles/year. Fortunately, a farm can have many production units (5-10 barns/site in big sites), so this makes it possible to have 40-70 cycles/yr. My question is: would this be enough to come up with an acceptably accurate model or is it necessary to have hundreds of samples?

I would really appreciate any help please. Maybe I was not precise enough
last time, so I am going to decribe things more clearly with examples.
Since the produced model will be used as part of an alarm/flagging
system, I will have to produce a curve of each of the parameters of
interest using 4 values/day=once/6h, and do this for the 44 days, this
is to flag and correct any abnormal behaviour ASAP. So, the whole
curve would have 4*44=176 values. E.g. for the water consumption
curve: day1: 12AM=65Gal, 6AM=150, 12PM ... DAY44=6PM=1500Gal. I would
have to come up with similar curves for each of the parameters of
interest (inputs/outputs). Now as far as ANNs are concerned, do I
have to produce 176 of these ANNs, one for each predicted value?
ANN1: input1 (temperature-value Day1@12AM) input2 (humidity-value
Day1@12AM)... output1 (feed consumption-value Day1@12AM), output2
(heater_runtime-values Day1@12AM)... and train the ANN with the 50-60
samples (Day1@12AM) from previous productions. This would produce an
ANN for predicting the value of each parameter for Day1@12AM for
future productions, etc.... This would quite intensive
computationally, so I am wondering if there is a better way to maybe
feed-in all the 176 values time series in one shot to have something
like input1(temperature-values 1-176), input2(humidity-values
1-176)... output1(feed consumption-values 1-176), output2 (heater
runtime-values 1-175)... and this will produce only one ANN which
will predict the 176 values for all parameters of future productions?
I would really appreciate your help as I am really stuck at this.

And someone has told me that it is a great site, but the images in the box with the yellow frame dont show up unless I tilt the screen at an odd angle, I think he means the hero image! and is sounds
like he is using a tablet

They are all quite a subtle grey tone but the one I cannot see is on the 'About Me' page. You just need to bring the grey tone up a few stops.

HT201210 In the attempt of updating the latest itune software, i am faced with the problem of not being able to be connected to itunes with my ipod touch that is blocked living the USB cable and the itune icons on my touch sceen. Can some one help me out

In the attempt of updating my ipod touch, i am faced with the problem of not being able to be connected to the itunes in my computer (windows xp ) because my ipod touch got blocked up, leaving the icon of USB cable and itunes on my touch screen. I am asked to restore my ipod first, but i have tried using all the examples stated and still can't help. Please please, can some one help me out ? Ones in the process of trying, i see an error code: 1656 and most of the time nothing. Thanks

Camera Raw won't open certain JPG files from Bridge, others open in ACR with no problem.

I've searched the internet and the Adobe forums and cannot find a direct answer to what I'm dealing with.
The issue I am having is that Bridge CS5 (current version 4.0.5.11) will open some JPG images in Raw with no problem and others nothing happens at all. All the images come from the same source (Fujifilm Frontier SP2000) so I really don't understand why Bridge ignores some of them as being openable in RAW. For example, say this roll of film has 36 images. If I "Select All", right click, and select "Open in Camera Raw", it will open whichever it deems acceptable in RAW and nothing happens at all to the others (The RAW dialog will, for instance, only open 10 images instead of all 36, and the remaining images are not altered in any way).
I've made sure that Photoshop is prefering Adobe Camera Raw with Supported Raw Files and in Camera Raw Preferences I have the box ticked to Automatically open JPGs with Settings but nothing helps.
My work around is to one file at a time in the Photoshop Open dialog, selecting an affected JPG file and have it open them as Camera Raw instead of Jpeg.
Any ideas? It's done this for quite a while and I have no idea how to fix it.

STUDENT WITH VISUAL PROBLEMS

Dear Adobe,
currently I'm working in a school with young people of 18 years old. The students all study graphic design and learn indesign, photoshop and illustrator. All of our students have a disability (physically or autism). One of them has a serious problem with his eyes. For example, when he's working in Indesign he can't see the hairlines- and the design he makes are not good as a result. Can we adjust settings, line-thickness or anything? (Zooming doesn't do it) Hopefully we can find a sollution because otherwise he will fail this year's course. greetings Bert

I think you're missing the point. We are evaluating if the student can
stay at the school because his visus-problems are so big (multiple
problems-not only hairlines). So now we are asking for help, if you
know a sollution, I would like to hear it.

Help with systemd problems/reply to closed thread

@Everyone; as the previopus topic was closed, I am opening a new one here, partly to reply to some things that was said to me in the previous thread/topic (and I do not like to leave people hanging), but mainly to try and get some help with my systemd config (that I was not able to find help with in the wiki or manpages).
@czubek; eww, that sounds rather similiar to some other operating systems I've heard of (not just, but obviously including, windows)... For me, subjectively, that is not very attractive, as being able to have a single application do a single thing, and then mixing and matching as I personally see fit is a great thing.
@tomegun: I can indeed see your point, but if I made direct quotes on all the things I reply too, my posts would reach biblical proportions.
Mmm-hmm, I do indeed know of "the Arch Way"; however, the system that you expose can be of varying complexity as well, and I found that the system that was presented to me by way of Sysvinit/initscripts was a way simpler system than that presented to me by systemd.
Indeed, and I do like that; I enjoy knowing how my system works and learning more about it; however, the truth is that reading manpages and the wiki isn't always enough. And I use the numbers instead of letters in certain places as a jest, please, do not get offended by that; if you have to, get offended by my opinions.
Ah, I have now scanned the wiki, the manpages, and have already faced problems. While part of me is saddened by this fact (as I was hoping for a smooth transition to systemd), part of me is glad that I can at least prove that everything isn't quite as simple as some people would make it out to be. More on this later in this post, as I do need help with the problems I have faced.
And I wouldn't say that the new and old way are equally trivial, as I immediatley faced problems with "the new way". More on this later.
Ok, I find that if the debate is polarized, then there is nothing wrong with describing it as such. I spell what I see.
Oh my... Ignored as a matter of principle? I would say that that is an excellent way to stagnate; by that logic, moviemakers, gamemakers etcetera should ignore any and all criticism they recieve, as the critics are not contributing.... Wouldn't that lead to a complete halt in development? Isn't criticism (so long as it is constructive, obviously) a key component of (media/software) evolution?
Ah, I see, then I misunderstood the current state of the install media

@zb3; My point exactly.
@tomegun; I believe you to be wrong; complaining (but not whining) is the first step towards improvement, as I think that I and zb3 has shown.
Further, your last point (where you talk about "deep understanding of Y" and whatnot) is basically saying that only devs and programmers can contribute, so zb3's observation would be correct.
Also, making suggestions is part of constructive criticism; you can do that even if you can't code, e.g. by saying "X works badly because it makes Y crash; couldn't we replace X with something akin to Z?". This is a valid point even if you have no intricate understanding of X, Y or Z, and if it is impossible to replace X for one reason or the other, it's not hard to reply with "Replacing X is impossible because of reason Q", and then see if someone can solve reason Q etcetera.
zb3's example is obviously helping; for one, it would allow people to know taht they can't boot with systemd in certain cases, or that installing/runing systemd can break their system. I would consider that rather important information.
@Everyone; Now then, to see if I can (or rather, if I can get help to) shed some light on some problems I've been having.
My transition to systemd went pretty smooth (besides the fact that I couldn't use 'systemctl' to set anything, and neither duckduckgo nor any posts in the forums could help me (the error I continously got was "Failed to issue method call: Launch helper exited with unknown return code 1") and that there are no manpages/tips on how to configure the files for "localtime" and "adjtime", which would've been good considering some syntax have changed) to about halfway through, to the point where I was supposed to start using systemd for my daemons.
Now then, to the main problem; first, I tried running
"systemctl enable syslog-ng.service"
and got the following message;
"ln -s '/usr/lib/systemd/system/syslog-ng.service' '/etc/systemd/system/syslog.service'
ln -s '/usr/lib/systemd/system/syslog-ng.service' '/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/syslog-ng.service'"
Since it doesn't exclusively say that something went wrong (at least as far as I can understand), I pondered the message a bit, but moved on to try and start dbus by issuing
"systemctl enable dbus.service",
to which I got the reply
"The unit files have no [Install] section. They are not meant to be enabled using systemctl."
This I can only assume is an error message of some sort, especially seeing as it says "not meant to be enabled using systemctl", but the wiki rather explicitly states that that is what I am supposed to do.
I dare not move on (or attempt to start other daemons) without further advice, as I fear I might break my system. Any ideas as to how to solve this would be greatly appreciated.

Ah, I see; and well, I was told right here, going from the top, to "Enable Daemons formerly listed in rc.conf [...] For a translation of the daemons from /etc/rc.conf to systemd services, see: List of Daemons and Services.", and, using the list, dbus is mentioned there, as you can see. Since I started from the top, I did not know that you didn't need to enable that service. Perhaps it could be added to the descriptions of the relevant services in the Wiki which ones are autostarted?

Actually, what am I supposed to do with "hwclock"? the List of Daemons only says that I shouldn't run that in tandem with ntpd, but I'm not running ntpd, so... How do I get hwclock with systemd?

Here is the description :
-I created a UML model with Papyrus tool and I applied MARTE profile to this UML model.
-Then, I applied <<PaStep>> stereotype to an AcceptEventAction ( which is one of the element that I created in this model ), and set the extOpDemand property of the stereotype to 2.7 with Papyrus.
-Now In the ETL file, I can find the stereotype property of extOpDemand as follows :
s.attribute.selectOne(a|a.name="extOpDemand") , where s is a variable of type Stereotype.
-However I can't access the value 2.7 of the extOpDemand attribute of the <<PaStep>> Stereotype. How do I do that ?

Instructions for reproducing the problem :
1-Run the uml2etl.etl transformation with the supplied launch configuration.
2-Open lqn.model.
There are two folders inside MinimalExample folder, the one which is called MinimalExample has 4 files, model.uml , lqn.model, uml2lqn.etl and MinimalExampleTransformation.launch.
The other folder which is LQN has four files. (.project),LQN.emf,LQN.ecore and untitled.model which is an example model conforming to the LQN metamodel to see how the model looks like.

ODBC Driver with Access problem

I have problems with fields of the number(9.3) datatype. in my linked access tables numbers like 1555.33 are shown as 155533.
I'm using the oracle odbc driver version 9.2.0.54 with a 9i (9.2.0.1.0) Database.
I've reading at an old post called "number(9.3) DataType in MS Access". Where I've found someone with the same problem as me. I've done everythink which is explained on that message, but it still doesn't work.
Is there anything else to do?

The following is extracted from Oralce's Metalink: (sorry lost the link)
"This is an NLS related issue. The ODBC driver uses the values derived from the NLS_LANG setting from the Oracle Home where the driver is installed.
The application actually uses the number setting from the NT Regional Settings.
When these two settings differ, then the decimal character will be cut off. This behaviour is also described in Bug:694323.
Example:
You have set your NLS_LANG in the ORACLE_HOME of your ODBC driver to GERMAN_GERMANY.WE8ISO8859P1. This will result in a value for the NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS of ",." (the first part of the NLS_NUMERIC_CHARACTERS being the decimal character and the second part being the group separator).
So the "." is used by the Application and the "," is used by the Oracle ODBC driver.
As a result numeric values in your Oracle Database with an integer and a decimal part will thus be displayed by the application without the decimal character, i.e. a value of 10,734 will be displayed as 10734 a value of 0,123 will be displayed as 123.
To fix this, you will either have to correct the character used for the Decimal Symbol of your NT Regional settings to match the value of your Oracle NLS_LANG setting or vice versa. To change the value for NLS_LANG, go to your registry and change the NLS_LANG parameter that is situated under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/ORACLE/HOMEnnn/NLS_LANG where HOMEnnn is the home where your Oracle ODBC driver is installed."

54C seems a little on the high side to me. It's within AMD specs, but I do not like the word, "Thermal Death".
Below is an example of my system, and the temps that apply to it. My system is not overclocked.
I have a 2400+, KT3 Ultra2-R motherboard, and just recently replaced the Dynatron cooler to a Thermalright SLK-800 with a Vantec Tornado turned down to 4000 RPM. While surfing the web with Norton running, MS messenger, Outlook Express, and four IE windows open, my CPU temps at a room temperature of 78F are: CPU-37 C, System 32 C. Cranking up the voltage to the Tornado and the CPU temp drops to 35C. System temp stays the same at 32 C.
When I use Sisoftware Sandra utilizing the CPU arithmetic and multmedia burn-in for one hour which places 100% load on the CPU, my CPU temp never goes over 39C and system temp rises to 34C; Vantec Tornado is set on high during full load tests.
The Vantec Tornado may be a bit of overkill at full voltage, but at 4000 RPM it is very tolerable. I truly believe the SLK-800 is very capable of excellent cooling with lower and quieter CFM fans. Big D1

9.0.115 and 9.0.124 and both fail with the policy permission error.
I also tried with and without your crossdomain.xml file but
with the same result. It looks like this file is intended for URL
policy, instead of socket policy. Recently Adobe separated the two.
When I run with the files installed on my dev PC, it does
work, which makes sense because the flash player isn't loaded from
an unknown domain.
I did get one step closer. If a crossdomain.xml in the server
root exists and the socketpolicy file is loaded from the app folder
then the first two warnings disappear. The logs now show:

UPDATE: When serving up the policy file on port 843 using the

1. Check planning File Entry: An entry is made in the planning file as soon as any changes are done to the material which are relevent to MRP. Eg. Changing MRP type, Changing BOM Qty. System checks if there is an entry. chk sample planning file entry in md21.
2. Net requirements Calculation: It checks the available stock of the materials. Required minus available = net required qty. availability check plays vital role in this.
3. Lot size calculation: Depending on the lot size maintained in the material master, it groups the materials. eg. If you use lot size as FX(Fixed lot Size) with fixed lot size qty = 100, then system will create pld ord or PR for the material in fixed lot of 100 always.
4. Scheduling: You can either carry out basic dates scheduling (values taken from MRP 2 view) or Lead time scheduling (values taken from routing) to this the floats are added and scheduling is carried out. By default it is backward scheduling. If the dates are going in past, today scheduling is done.
5. Source determination: For externally procured materials, you can assign a fixed source (ME01). This vendor is assigned in PR during MRP.
6. BOM explosion: For dependent requirements calculation, system explodes the BOM and plans the materials.

Is anybody has the example problem for AD/DA converter controled by PIC16F84?

In my circuit( Multisim 9), I use PIC16F84 as the
MCU to control the DAC and ADC. I want to ask if anyone has the example
problem for the controlling?
Further more, the I/O port of
PIC16F84 seems can not be connected with the digital output of DAC, so
I asked myself, is it right that for PIC16F84, the I/O port can only
connected with the serial port of DAC and ADC? Or it needs a converter
to adapt to the input port of DAC?

You can test the new Design Circuit Suite (includes Multisim10 with MCU10 and Ultiboard 10 with Ultiroute10). When you open Samples you find the folder MCU with PIC folder. In these you can find some examples to PIC16F84. With that as pattern you should solve the problem.
