Internal error Ora-01041: extension hostdef not found.

Hi all !!
I've got this error in an application.
I can connect me by to the database by using SQL PLUS but when i want to launch the test of connectivity using this application, it's my error.
Could someone explain me why ??
thanx a lot
Vincent

Hi
Are your sure you use the same connect data, you use when connecting with SQL*Plus?
Do you use a tns connectstring or is it local and do you use environment variables (ORACLE_HOME, ORACLE_SID).

  • Internal error: Entry in COKA-Buffer not found

    Hi,
In FB50 I was trying to post the following entries:
    760100 (expense/cost element) Dr.     1000
    100000 (petty cash account)                         1000
When posting (ctrl+s) the following error appears "Internal error: Entry in COKA-Buffer not found". At this point system stops the transaction and exits from that t.code. On expanding the error the following is displayed :
"Internal error: Entry in COKA-Buffer not found
    Message no. KC051
    Diagnosis
The system could not find the entry with the following key in the COKA float:
    Object number  = AO00000000000000108166
    Cost element   = 760100
    Origin group   =
    System Response

    Procedure
    Notify your system administrator."
We checked the table COKA and the above mentioned object no. was not found. So how is the system displaying this particular Object nu.?
Can someone please help to solve this problem?

    Hi friends,
we are having the same problem with PA objects in FI transactions. Object PA in COKA is different from object PA in COEP when we are posting.
Internal Error: KC051 Buffer not found.
Issue transactions are: F-02, FBB1, F110,... but curiously transaction F-01 works OK...
Any suggestions please? We don't know what we can do... we've checked all sustitutions and validations FI/CO but we don't find anything.
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards.

Please post the complete error message from the worker log file.
Since you can login using sqlplus and you can tnsping the database, please try to bounce the listener then restart the failed worker via adadmin and see if it works.

  • URGENT: ORA-12514: Message 12514 not found;

Hi, I have a big problem:
I have a PC (PC1) with an Oracle 9.2.0.5 database.
I have other PC (client=PC2) with Oracle forms and reports runtime installed.
I try to execute my .fmx from PC2 and everything was ok.
After that, I installed again in another server (PC3) the Oracle database, and when I tried to connect from my client (PC2) to the new database, it appears the error:
    ORA-12514: Message 12514 not found; Product=RDBMS80; Facility=ORA
Why is giving this error? May be the PC3 needs an ORACLE_HOME environment variable or similar?
I've seen the following in relation with oracle_home:
In the PC server (PC3) the ora_home variable in regedit (it doesn't exists as windows environment variable) is e:\oracle\ora92
It's different from oracle_home in PC2 (Pc client) , in which is: c:\orant
    Is it important?
Is this error possible because of the TNSNAMES configuration?
Please help me, is very urgent for me.
    Thanks a lot

    Hi guys,
I've solved the problem: It was in the TNSNAMES. The service_name was incorrect. I changed it and it worked.

    Dear Joe,
Once again thank you very much for your prompt response.
I have tried the proposed solution without success. In order to identify the exact issue I have created a small application and tried with JDBC connection as below It works fine. But when tried using the DSN it does NOT connects.
Any idea whether we should consider any special option when we create DSN on WL which is in Linux when compared to Windows? Please advice.

  • ORA-01882: timezone region not found  in Windows 2003 Server System

    Hi,
I am using windows server 2003 and the IDE jdeveloper 11.1.1.1.0. I have this error ORA-01882: timezone region not found .
To resolve it, I added -Duser.timezone=GMT in my project properties. It doesn't work in windows server 2003. I tried the same thing in windows xp it works well.
So, what's the problem concerning windows server 2003 ??
    please help me.
    thanks a lot.

no such TZNAME as Africa/Luanda Version 4 of the timezone patch doesn't have that one either, and if you don't have at least version 3 the DST rules won't be correct for the 2007 DST changes. v4 does have Africa/Windhoek if that's close enough, can't tell if that one is in v2 we don't have anything on a patch earlier than v4.
Might be able to work around it by specifying an offset (i.e. +1:00) instead of a named time zone, patch files for the base 10.2.0.1 aren't even listed in support note 412160.1. There is also note 396387.1, "Workarounds when Database time zone patches are not available for your patchset" that one might be helpful.

    Hello All,
When i create new database connection with HR database (XE), I'm getting ORA-01882: timezone region not found error in jdeveloper.
    Database Navigator->Create Database Connection
How to i fix this problem?
    - JDeveloper 11.1.1.4
    - Oracle Expression Edition 10g.
    Thank you,
    Erdenebayar.

    Hi Erdenebayar,
How did u add the line in jdev.conf i tried by adding below variants but none worked. Can you please print exact line that you've added to jdev.conf and added to projects (I'm using jdev 11.1.1.4):
    Variant 0)
    -Duser.timezone="+05:30" (each projects run profile)
    Variant 1)
AddVMOption -Duser.timezone='05.30' (line added to jdev.conf)
    -Duser.timezone='05.30' (each projects run profile)
    Variant 2)
AddVMOption -Duser.timezone='+05.30' (line added to jdev.conf)

AddVMOption -Duser.timezone="05:30" (line added to jdev.conf)
    -Duser.timezone="05:30" (each projects run profile)
But none are resolving the issue.

  • Displaying "ORA-20502: Automation context not found." error message

    Hi all,
I am implementing functionality in OSM 7 to read jms message sent by external system.I am setting default jmscorrelationid as "test" in order to identify message.I have implemented an automated task as xslt automator and having external event receiver.but when i get the message on the queue from external system weblogic console start giving error message as -
    "ORA-20502: Automation context not found.
Can you please tell me what could be the reason for this??

The trick is that OSM needs to initiate the communication. It is depicted in the diagrams in OSM Developer's Guide in the automation plugin section (however not very clear - in my opinion).
My experience is that you need to correlate messages to OSM by using the (JMS)correlation id sent by the initiating message from OSM. If this can't be sent directly to the external system, a component (e.g. JMS queue + MDB) needs to be placed between the systems and handle the correlation between the messages from the external systems and the OSM "request for reply".

  • Graphics tab in REBDBU: Internal error when implementing extension

    Hello,
    Seek your kind help please.
I have entered in the building master data using REBDBE. We have a tab called Graphics. The pictures etc of the building are uploaded using a software called Korasoft. When i am clicking on the Graphics tab, it is entering the screen but immediately afterwards flashing the following message, "Internal error when implementing extension".
Doing a F1 on the error message shows the foll details:
    "Diagnosis
An internal error occurred during the implementation of a customer-specific enhancement. A CHANGE-API module was called with an object reference (parameter IO_OBJECT) that was not instantiated in the required activity for changing (02). The API modules are function modules and begin with API_RE_.
    Procedure
Within the BAdI implementation, transfer the parameter IO_OBJECT from the BAdI method directly to the API module. Make sure that the transferred instance is allowed to be changed."
I found that the SAP note 1139014 causes this error message to be generated. Note 1139014 forms a part of support pack level 13 (release 600). Recently we have upgraded our systems from support pack level 8 to support pack level 13. Naturally even this note got implemented at that time.
But now this note is causing this error message and so I will be grateful if someone can please tell me how to rectify the error.

Hope this information is helpful for you.

  • I*sqlplus: Internal error (no valid library could be found)

    Hello
I have installed Oracle 8.1.7 on Windows NT
and Oracle 8.1.7 on Sun Sparc Solaris.
On Windows NT, I have installed i*sqlplus.
    However, when connecting from browser
    in the index file
    I've given a valid username/password of
a database in Oracle 8.1.7 on Sun Sparc
and a connect string to the database
on Oracle 8.1.7 on Sun Sparc.
This connect string is created using
Net 8 assistant and this connect string
is on the Windows NT with Oracle 8.1.7.
    However, instead of connecting I
    am getting the error
Internal error : (no valid library could be found)
    Can you please help me?
    Thanks

    Cyril,
Can you connect to the database using the command line version of SQL*Plus? If so, you're using the correct syntax.
It sounds like iSQL*Plus is not set up correctly. Do you have the necessary 8.1.7 components on the NT machine (Oracle HTTP Server, Net8, SQL*Plus)?
Review the installation documentation, and/or post more specific information on your set up.

  • ISQL*Plus: Internal error (no valid library could be found)

I install iSQL*PLUS on middle tier (9i AS 1.0.2.1) according to documentation, when I trying to connect I am getting Internal error (no valid library could be found). The TNSNAMES.ORA file is correct.
Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

My first suggestion is to use the HTTP listener on the RDBMS bundle. This is what iSQL*Plus 8.1.7 Beta was built for.
The HTTP servers on the iAS and Database releases require mods to be compiled differently.
