Movement type restriction

presently we had allowed negative stock with idea of allowing negative sales. we aalso using VL01NO transaction for stock transfers from stores-stores or stores-dc..etc.
due to the reason of allowing negative stocks system is allowing outbound delivery for deficit stocks also.
for example:
in particular store we have article A qty is 10. still this store is able to process post goods issue for more than 10 qty without getting any error/warning message. also, at receiving store during GR(MIGO) system is just giving warning message of deficit of stock.
i want to control that if the system does not have enough stock for transfer it should not allow user to process stock transfer.
is there any so that where i can allow negative stock and restrict for particular mvt types like 603(VL01NO).
plz suggest.

Hi ,
Try tcode OMBS and make entry for the movement type mandatory.
Every time user has to enter the reason for the movement which will provide some control and user cannot move ahead without entering the reason.

i'm trying by using movement types 301 for plant to plant transfer and 541 for plant to vendor
i have created two roles in one i was restricted company code 1 and 2 with movement types 301 and 541
and in another role i was resricted comany code 3 and 4 with movement type 541 only..
If i give thes two roles to diffrent users it is working fine, but if i give to same user but it is not working..
I don't have functional kw......This is an urgent issue.......please suggest how to restrict..

Movement type authorisation for different storage locations

can we make the movement type restricted to any storage location
Ex: i have 2 storage locations 1110 and 1114 in plant 1100
and i have two end user mst1 mst2
if so i want to make sure that mst1 is responsible only for issue goods from 111o
and he should not able to issue goods from 1114 vice versa to mst2
is there any possible configuration please let me know.

u can achive this through authorization
First
You need to activate the storage location authorization check for goods movements in config
SPRO->Materials Management->Inventory Management and Physical Inventory->Authorization Management->Authoization check for storage locations.
Then required control is achieved via authorization object M_MSEG_LGO.
Get in touch with Basis and ask him to remove required storage location from user ID so that that user will not able to pass any movement to that storage location

How to restrict the users not to change receiving batch no. in 305 mov.type

Dear MM Guru,
We are using mov.type 303 & 305 for transferring the materials from one plant to another plant. t.code is MB1B (Non split valued item)
While receive the goods through 305 mov.type the user having the chance to change the receiving batch number. To control this changes, is there a way where we can restrict the users not to do the changes in receiving batch no. or can we do the GR with reference to the material document 303 mov.type.

Generally there is a possibility to change the batch no. If you want to restrict it means go for enhancement. Use BADI to acheive this.In MB_MIGO_BADI you can set not to change the batch no. Hope it works. Thanking you.

Restriction of Selecting Reason for movement based on the movement type

HI,
Defined Reason for movements for the movement types and made the field as " mandatory" in the control reason for the movement type.
So, during the Goods movement transaction it becomes mandatory to enter the reason for movement code.
But during the Goods movement transaction, it is possible to enter any reason for movement for any movement type. It needs to restricted with subject to the movement type.
Example:
Defined the Reason for movements 0001 & 0002 for the movement type 561.
Defined the Reason for movements 0003 & 0004 for the movement type 563.
During MB1C, now it is possible to select 0003 or 0004 for 561 as well as , it is possible to select 0001 or 0002 for 563.
it needs to be controlled w.r.to the movement type.
that is, if the movement type 561 is entered, then system should only allow the reason for movement either 0003 or 0004.
Is it possible to control, the selection of "reason for movement" based on the movement type ?

Check the transaction OMBS.Here you can make the entry of reason for movement mandatory check:controls and in reasons for movements you can maintain the allowed reasons for movement for the perticulatr movement type.

Document Type in Outline Agreement (M_RAHM_BSA )
Purchasing Group in Outline Agreement (M_RAHM_EKG )
Purchasing Organization in Outline Agreement ( M_RAHM_EKO )
Plant in Outline Agreement ( M_RAHM_WRK )
This can be helpfull to you to restrict authorization to PO..
In Organization Level, it can be restricted by Purchasing group, Purchasing organization and plant..

For eg.
If am using a Mvt 311 tP btwn storagelocations.
If there are 10 Stlocs in my plant i want to restrict 311 only for 7Slocs.

Restriction on movement type,storage location on USER ID

Dear Guru's,
I have to restrict movement type 311 on some storage location for some user ID.Following is already done but not able to restrict the movement of material on other storage location rather than defined:
1) Maintained authorization objet M_MSEG_LGO with two storage location ST01,ST02 and movement type 311.
2) Using BADI MB_MIGO_BADI and maintained Z table with USERID,Mvt type 311,storage location ST01,ST02.
Still we are able to do Mvt 311 on other that defined locations in authorization objet M_MSEG_LGO and Z table....
Kindly give ur valuable suggestion to resolve the issue......

For your requirement only I have suggested to create multiple role. In one Role you specify SLOC & MOvt type(only 311) in auth object M_MSEG_LGO & M_MSEG_BWE for slocs where you want 311 movt. In other Roles of goods movt you also specify other SLOCs & all other movt except 311. I mean in the other Role you cant keep the movt type as * in auth object M_MSEG_BWE.
So its a combination of SLOC & MVT tye. Try & give feedback

How to restrict end-user from not using certain movement-types in MB1B

Dear Gurus,
My client wants that end user has access to only particular movement types in MB1B.i.e only to 311 and 412,421E.
They do not want any other movement types to be access by end-users in MB1B
How to go about this requirement?

Restrictions of movement types in MIGO

Hello,
When I select goods receipt in MIGO, I would like the system to avoid using 201 movement type. I mean, if I select goods receipt, it should only work for goods receipt
Is there a way that I can block other movement types like this?
I tried to do it from
SPRO->MATERIALS MANAGEMENT -> INVENTORY MANAGEMENT AND PHYSICAL INVENTORY ->SETTINGS FROM ENJOY TRANSACTIONS -> SETTINGS FOR TRANSACTIONS AND REFERENCE DOCUMENTS
and tried to put some restrictions, but it did not work.

Access to mvt types can be restricted through authorizations. Check with your basis person (auth object is M_MSEG_BWA).
If you want to skip a particular transaction in MIGO then deactivate it in IMG - MM - Inventory management & phy inventory - Settings for Enjoy Transactions - Settings for Goods Movements (MIGO) - Settings for Transactions and Reference Documents. Select the transaction MIGO - click transaction/event (you can deactivate goods issue here or) - Click goods issue - deactivate which ever are not required. You cannot see deactivated options here in MIGO.

Restriction of Reverse GI - 262 movement type after GR for order with 101

Hi all,
How to Restrict Reversal of Goods Issue by 262 for a Production order after Goods Receipt (GR-101) for Porduction order is posted.
eg will make more clerity.
Step 1- After creating Production for Finished Material, I post Goods Issue GI against production order with 261 movement type.
Step 2- Confirmed the Production order for Finished Material.
Step 3- Make GR for Finished Material with 101 movement type.
Now If i want to Post Reversal of the Goods Issue posted previously with 261 movement type for Semifinished Material, system should not allow to do that, but system allows me to do same with 262 movement type.
as the same material i already issued against production order & is consumed. so if some one want to makes Reversal GI with 262, it should not allow.
Please help.

Restrict Movement Type 261

Hi:
I want to prevent user in Plant 100 from issuing spares to the PM Order created in Plant 200.
I have a role Z:00:INV_CLERK-100 restricted for plant 100.
I have a PM work order 40000000001 created in plant 200.
User A has role Z:00:INV_CLERK-100 assigned to him which is restricted to plant 100.
But this user can issue parts to the order 40000000001 using movement type 261 even though Order does not belong to plant 100. Is it possible to restrict this behavior.

Authorizations are restricted to plant 100. System does not check if order entered belongs to the same plant or a different plant.
e.g
When I enter order number for movement type 261 and then if a enter a material to be issued from a different plant, system allows me to post it even though plant is the order is different than the plant from the parts are issued.
I have authorization to issue parts from plant 100 ONLY. If i enter a work order order for a plant 200, system does not give me an error message or warning message saying you can not issue material from plant 100 to the order for plant 200.

Movement type from restricted to block

I assume that you have decided to go with the Z program suggested earlier.
Now You just want to make sure that records passed using this program are of QA07.
If TCODE2_MKPF is not available in MSEG, then i would go with reference to MKPF table.
First of all i shall get the list of restricted batches from MCHB (Or May be MCH1),
Then Pass Material, Plant, Batch and Movement type as 341 to MSEG,
And then i would pass outcome of this to table MKPF and check field TCODE2.
Dont forget that I am currently not able to check in my system whether system puts QA07 in TCODE2 field of MKPF at the time of 341 mvt (When it is restricted). Please confirm before proceeding.
moreover, i did not get about the effect your team is concerned about.
It will be good if you execute by yourself, means check these tables with right sequence and at the end you will be able to judge whether this logic gives you correct list of batches needs to be transferred to blocked.
