Internal error with timestamp columns

Hi
i have a table in which there's a TIMESTAMP column whenever i try to create a form on this table i cannot choose the columns in form builder data block wizard.
Or even when i try to modify a form which was created before the columns were added.
it generates this error.
FRM - 10095: Assertion Failed in iewbdbc_oracle_to_id, at C:myade\608\src\ie\iewbdb.c:703
i dont even have that directory on my machine!!!!
i tried this with forms9i & forms6i, same thing with both.
is it impossible to develope forms on a table having a timestamp column??? or is there another way?
Any help is REALLY apreciated.
Thanks in Advance
Regards
Tony G.

No the with timestamp types are not supported. Forms does supplort multiple timezones, but uses normal datatime fields mapping to dates in the DB. The Forms server then takes care of mapping the Client Time to the Database time and visa versa.

    This is not very helpful as it doesn't describe what went wrong and where.
    What else logs can I enable to debug further ? Attached are few logs from various components,
    Certificate,CRP and Network Policy are fine as they work fine with other standard client.
    Please help.

    Hi chitsri,
    The log you provided above only contains the successful authentication.
    Because standard clients are working fine with NPS, I assume that this issue is caused by the embedded client.
    >>What else logs can I enable to debug further ?
    We may try to perform a network capture on the NPS server. Then find out what's the difference between the embedded client and standard clients.
    To download the the network monitor, please click the link below:

    If we can't find any hint from the capture data, you may contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS) via telephone so that a dedicated Support Professional can assist with your request.
    To obtain the phone numbers for specific technology request please take a look at the web site listed below:

  • Error 0000: internal error with Apply Transform Module

    Hello:
    I get an internal error message when attempting to use a previously saved data transform (namely missing value processing using MICE).  What is strange is that using the previously saved model works if I feed the exact same data that was used for training
    it but generates an internal error whenever I use a sample - even a 90% sample of the original.  This is the output log:

  • Java.sql.SQLException: Internal Error with oracle.sql.ARRAY getArray()

    hi,
    I am having having problems with the getArray() of oracle.sql.ARRAY.
    Here are the details:
    Oracle Database - 9.2.0.6. The JDBC driver used -10.2.0.1 jar.(the latest available).
    I am calling a stored procedure from java, that has out param as a collection (VARRAY) of a user defined type.
    The stored procedure works fine, if the user/schema used to connect,contains actual type, and i am able to extract the user defined object from the oracle.sql.ARRAY, via getArray().
    But if i use a different user to connect which has public synonyms and execute rights to the actual type, i get the following error:
    java.sql.SQLException: Internal Error

This application user does have access to types via public synonym, but it gives the above mentioned error.
    Please help :(.
    Regards,
    Gaurav.

    Hi avi,
    Even I am getting the same error inspite of preceding the type name with the same user who has created the type.
    It has displayed the array length.When I am trying to fetch each array, I am getting the error.
    ARRAY simpleArray = (ARRAY) cs.getObject(3);
    System.out.println("Array is of length " + simpleArray.length());          ********************** The above stmt prints 2 records ******************

  • Internal Error with Adobe Reader 9.3

    We have a web browser application(ASP) that receives a fax and saves it as a PDF.  We have people who go in and assign the individual faxes to different individuals to work.  We were using Adobe Reader 8.1.2 and upgraded to Adobe Reader 9.3. Since we have upgrade to version 9.3, a few people are getting an error "An internal error occurred" from adobe reader.  They are constantly opening the pdf files and assigning them to individuals to work.  They have to go into task manager and end task and then restart Internet Explorer.  Once they do that, they are abele to open the pdf with no problems. It seems that they get this error once or twice during the day.  Any suggestions?
    Thanks

    You can get that error if there is still an old Adobe Reader plugin in the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder.
    C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\nppdf32.dll

  • Oc4j:  500 internal error with httpunit

    All,
    There is a program called httpunit which pretends to be a browser (for j2ee app testing purposes). For some reason I can run a particular ADF Faces application from IE against the embedded OC4J (10.1.3.1) in jdev 10.1.3.2 just fine. But when I try to run the same app with the same URL against the OC4J httpunit says that OC4J is returning a "500 internal error". What I don't understand is, if I am getting such an error, why doesn't server.log or any other log file seem to be recording more information on this error...like what is the OC4J choking on. How does one make the OC4J give more explicit information on 500 internal errors.
    This archives of this forum seem to deal with people with similar problem, but usually they are getting the error when running it in IE. I am using httpunit instead in this case, which I am in the process of getting more familiar.
    I hope someone can help. I have a deadline for this question.

    Shay, If I could get some details on the simple example that you put together: what verson of httpunit are you using? I am using 1.6.2. What jar files are you putting into the library...just the one httpunit.jar file? Or any of the others? Maybe those are causing problems for me. I was trying to follow the example in the paper I was reading and he put a bunch of other jar files into the library from the httpunit jars directory. What did your webpage have in it? Just a simple emp or dept?

  • Internal error with jgoodies form lib

    I was evaluating the 0.9.7 version of the form lib (nc version) with JDeveloper 9.0.3.1 and I could not compile anything with the library. Everytime I tried to compile my project I got a "compiler internal error". I did not see any speific error messages spit out with the "show progress" turned on. Are you aware of this issue?
    does it have anything to do with obfuscation? The lis seemed to have some critical code crypted.
    BTW. I was able to test it with Eclipse.
    Thanks!

    Thanks for reporting the problem. Unfortunately, there isn't any workaround that I can think of and my window to checkin a fix for 9.0.3.2 has just close a few days ago. This will definitely be fixed in 9.0.4 and higher.
    Please send me the exact version of JDev you are using with your email address and I can try to build a one off patch for you.

  • Error 'Internal Error' with Reader X

    Hi,
    we got an "Internal Error" by opening PDF Documents wie Adobe Reader X. These Documents works fine with Adobe 9. We deteimined the error remaining on the jpg which is in the document. We created the jpg again an now we could open new documents with adobe reader x.
    Our problem is that all old documents have the old version of the jpg. Becouse of technical restrictions we aren´t able to creat the documents with the new jpg. We have to open the old pdf document with adobe X.
    Does anyone have an idea whats wrong with adobe x? Is it possible, that´s a knowen error and it would be fixed in the next version?
    Thanks for any help
    Regards

    Hello dbausnd2,
    It may not be your answer but I encountered the "internal error" message you described on some documents
    For me, disabling protected mode as described in following link solved it
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/3463596
    According to this, "protected mode" is a new feature in X, it could explain your 9.0, X behavior difference  http://blogs.adobe.com/livecycle/2010/11/technical-details-of-adobe-reader-x-protected-mod e.html
    Interestingly,  right clicking a file, selecting "Open with Adobe Reader X" would trigger "internal error" for me on the affected documents.  But right clicking, selecting "open with" and then "Adobe Reader" did not.  Go figure.  Also, opening from the reader's file menu worked.
    I imagine disabling protected mode reduces your system security, so that is something to consider

    And what are you trying to do? You are updating column20 in all rows in table_1 over and over. And what is array_line? Type type_table_1 is not a table of objects, so what is tab_1(ctr).concat_column? Without questioning code logic (although I already did :) ), remove that ".concat_column":
    set column_20 = array_line(tab_1(ctr));SY.

  • Passing data to different internal tables with different columns from a comma delimited file

    Hi,
    I have a program wherein we upload a comma delimited file and based on the region( we have drop down in the selection screen to pick the region).  Based on the region, the data from the file is passed to internal table. For region A, we have 10 columns and for region B we have 9 columns.
    There is a split statement (split at comma) used to break the data into different columns.
    I need to add hard error messages if the no. of columns in the uploaded file are incorrect. For example, if the uploaded file is of type region A, then the uploaded file should be split into 10 columns. If the file contains lesser or more columns thenan error message should be added. Similar is the case with region B.
    I do not want to remove the existing split statement(existing code). Is there a way I can exactly pass the data into the internal table accurately? I have gone through some posts where in they have made use of the method cl_alv_table_create=>create_dynamic_table by passing the field catalog. But I cannot use this as I have two different internal tables to be populated based on the region. Appreciate help on this.
    Thanks,
    Pavan

    Hi Abhishek,
    I have no issues with the rows. I have a file with format like a1,b1,c1,d1,e1, the file should be uploaded and split at comma. So far its fine. After this, if the file is related to region A say Asia, then it should have 5 fields( as an example). So, all the 5 values a1,b1..e1 will be passed to 5 fields of itab1.
    I also have region B( say Europe)  whose file will have only 4 fields. So, file is of the form a2,b2,c2,d2. Again data is split at comma and passed to itab2.
    If some one loads file related to Asia and the file has only 4 fields  then the data would be incorrect. Similar is the case when someone tries to load Europe file with 5 fields related data. To avoid this, I want to validate the data uploaded. For this, I want to count the no. of fields (seperated by comma). If no. of fields is 5 then the file is related to Asia or if no. of fields is 4 then it is Europe file.
    Well, the no. of commas is nothing but no. of fields - 1. If the file is of the form a1,b1..e1 then I can say like if no. of commas = 4 then it is File Asia.But I am not sure how to write a code for this.Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Pavan

  • Getting this Error: There was an error with input column "FROM_DATE" (6356) on input "OLE DB Destination Input" (6100). The column status returned was: "The value could not be converted because of a potential loss of data.".

    Hi,
    I have a flat file with this kind of value - " 20140713 " . To take this value in DB Table I set the data type of this column in flat file manager - string [DT_STR] 50, But in destination table It is set as date [date] NULL
    while process this file, I'm getting this error, that mention in subject line.
    Please confirm, how to do that as I don't want to change the destination column type.

    you need to add a derived column in SSIS with expressions as below
    (DT_DATE)SUBSTRING([Column],1,4) + (DT_WSTR,30) "-" + SUBSTRING([Column],5,2) + (DT_WSTR,30) "-" + SUBSTRING([Column],7,2)
    ANd map this new column to your tables date column

    I'm trying to relate 3 tables (debit,

    How about using only "the new syntax":
    SELECT D.* , SUM( TD.debit_amount), SUM(TAP.amount)

         LEFT JOIN TA_PAYMENTS AS TAP ON (D.debit_id=TAP.debit_id)

    </html>
    Since someone will undoubtedly ask why I am doing this, I'll go ahead and give the answer. The short answer is that the site is a Google Sites site using a custom domain. More specifically, I am using a frameset for the following reasons:
    Domain Frame Redirect
    Using a frameset is a common technique for redirecting a browser to a different domain while still displaying the original domain in the address bar. This little deception is necessary to avoid visitors being confused by the domain changing to something other than what they expect to see.
    Complete Analytic Data
    All analytic data concerning where visitors come from would be lost without a frame redirect. Visitors would always appear to be coming from the custom domain. But, since the frameset is hosted under the custom domain and not the Google Sites domain, the tracking code can span both domains.
    Unique Landing Page
    A frame redirect allows use of a unique landing page. Google Sites inherently requires every page to use the same overall layout. However, a frame redirect can point to a custom landing page hosted with the frameset where it is not restricted at all by Google Sites. The custom landing page will then have each link pointing to a page on the Google Sites site

    This bug automatically changes the frameset attribute as soon as the page is opened.
    Would you happen to know of a way to stop the automated change to the frameset?

  • ViewCriteria error with Timestamp

    I'm trying to use viewCriteria with a timestamp. But I'm getting some query errors.
    I've done some tests.
    1 - Entity attribute is oracle.jbo.domain.Date.
    I create the date with the following code:
    oracle.jbo.domain.Date d = new oracle.jbo.domain.Date(new java.sql.Timestamp(new java.util.Date().getTime()));
    The code for the view criteria:
    ViewCriteria vc = this.createViewCriteria();
    ViewCriteriaRow vcr = vc.createViewCriteriaRow();
    vcr.setAttribute("Hiredate", date created);
    vc.addElement(vcr);
    this.applyViewCriteria(vc);
    this.executeQuery();
    Here is the error:
    oracle.jbo.SQLStmtException: JBO-27122: SELECT Emp.EMPNO,
    Emp.ENAME,
    Emp.JOB,
    Emp.MGR,
    Emp.HIREDATE,
    Emp.SAL,
    Emp.COMM,
    Emp.DEPTNO
    FROM EMP Emp
    WHERE (((Emp.HIREDATE = TO_DATE('2006-11-28 13:09:54.0', 'yyyy-mm-dd'))))
    The query is correct, using to_date function. But there is not a time mask.
    2 - Entity Attribute is oracle.jbo.domain.Timestamp
    I create the timestamp with the following code:
    oracle.jbo.domain.Timestamp d = new oracle.jbo.domain.Timestamp(new java.sql.Timestamp(new java.util.Date().getTime()));
    the code for the viewcriteria is the same as in test 1, except that I pass the timestamp object instead of the date to the setAttribute mehtod.
    Here is the error:
    oracle.jbo.SQLStmtException: JBO-27122: SELECT Emp.EMPNO,
    Emp.ENAME,
    Emp.JOB,
    Emp.MGR,
    Emp.HIREDATE,
    Emp.SAL,
    Emp.COMM,
    Emp.DEPTNO
    FROM EMP Emp
    WHERE (((Emp.HIREDATE = '2006-11-28 13:13:25.019')))
    Now the query was constructed with out the to_date function.
    How can I use ViewCriteria with a Timestamp ?
    Thanks a lot.
    John

    You should be able to workaround this issue using a customized OracleSQLBuilderImpl class patterned after the following:
    package example;
    import oracle.jbo.AttributeDef;
    import oracle.jbo.ViewCriteria;
    import oracle.jbo.ViewObject;
    import oracle.jbo.common.Diagnostic;
    import oracle.jbo.domain.Timestamp;
    import oracle.jbo.server.OracleSQLBuilderImpl;
    import oracle.jbo.server.SQLBuilder;
    public class CustomOracleSQLBuilderImpl extends OracleSQLBuilderImpl {
        protected String getFormattedRHSCompareFragment(ViewObject vo,
                                                        ViewCriteria vc,
                                                        AttributeDef attrDef,
                                                        int sqlType, String rhs) {
            if (Timestamp.class.equals(attrDef.getJavaType())) {
                return new StringBuffer("TO_DATE('")
                            .append(rhs)
                            .append("', 'yyyy-mm-dd')")
                            .toString();
            else {
              return super.getFormattedRHSCompareFragment(vo, vc, attrDef, sqlType,
                                                        rhs);
        private static SQLBuilder mSQLBuilderInterface;
        synchronized public static SQLBuilder getInterface()
           if (mSQLBuilderInterface == null)
              if (Diagnostic.isOn())
                 Diagnostic.println("CustomOracleSQLBuilder reached getInterface");
              mSQLBuilderInterface = (SQLBuilder)(new CustomOracleSQLBuilderImpl());
              if (Diagnostic.isOn())
                 Diagnostic.println(mSQLBuilderInterface.getVersion());
           return mSQLBuilderInterface;
    }To use a custom SQLBuilder class, you'll need to set the jbo.SQLBuilder property to the fully-qualified name of your custom SQLBuilder class. For example, to use the above class, the value would be example.CustomOracleSQLBuilderImpl
    And, of course, the special-case code for the Timestamp attribute would need to be more sophisticated to handle possibly-different forms of querying for a timestamp with varying amounts of time information.
