Interworked, No permission, Insufficient privilege
When trying to establish a call from a Movi (Jabber) sip client to a Jabber video (sip) client at 199.19.190.30 I get an error stating "Interworked, No Permission, Insufficient privilege". The call should be sip to sip but is routed instead as sip - H323. The jabber.com VCS is then giving me the error message. This call is to a client in the United Kingdom. I can call another Jabber client in San Francisco with no problem. The Jabber user in the UK can call me no problem. For some reason the VCS-E in the UK must mis-configured.
rev 69 too
tomorrow I will have the webex and let you know
Something happenned after my customer change the suse's server IP, I had to perform a re-installation of SAP Business One only
We were supposed to install using the hostname but no one of the installers let me use the hostname
so it Kind of forced me to use the IP.
After asking Support about that one of the specialists told me that he prefers to use IP instead of the hostname. So I used IP.
Maybe this changed something I cannot detect yet. but tomorrow we'll see.

ITunes 7.4.2 Run Error with Vista (insufficient privileges)
Short and sweet. Windows Vista. McAfee Security. User Profile is coded as Adminsistrator and previous iTunes version was working fine.
Loaded 7.4.2 and install registered complete. First time to open the store..rec'd error: "The Installer has insufficient privileges to modify this file: C;\Program Files\iTunes\About iTunes.rtf." Now..when I click on the actual file, I get "You don't have permission to open file". Yes..I went into the security tab to open the file to all users, and when I clicked the icon again, it showed another file, and another...so on. I certainly do not want to manually edit every single file and when I try to uninstall, I don't have permission to erase the files. Anybody with an idea what I am going through and have a fix?Hello, first of all thank you veyr much polydorus the driver resolved the itunes error
But I still having problems with most of my movie files I keep getting the error: Error -2202: a bad public atom was found in the movie
And strangest is on my brothers ipod the files work, and they did work before on my old ipod (30gb) to now I bought a new one (160gb) and I cant copy any files to it, also if I convert my offical files again I keep getting this error.
is there anyone that knows what is wrong maybe? -

It solved after change permission of directory that sapdba_role.sql kept to oradev:dba after that it can write sapdba_role.log.
Thank you for your guideline.
Now, I can ran 'Check database' via DB13 without that error.

ORA-01031: insufficient privileges when connecting by SQL PLUS 8.0 with sys
From client, I use SQL PLUS 8.0 to connect to server: sys/password@MYDB1 as sysdba
The error always raises “ORA-01031: insufficient privileges”
I have done:
- Set: remote_login_passwordfile=exclusive in tnsname.ora file
- Uncomment: SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES in “sqlnet.ora” file
Also on this client:
to use SQL PLUS 8.0 to connect to server: manager/password@MYDB1. To connect normally
to use PLSQL Deverloper (it is the same oracle_home with SQL PLUS 8.0) to connect to database normally with user sys.
To use Enterprise manager console (it is other oracle_home with SQL PLUS 8.0) to connect to database normally with user sys
Please, help me to solve this troubleTHIS IS CONTENT OF SQLNET.ora CLIENT

# - ONames Client ----------------------------------------------------
#names.default_domain = world
#Syntax: domain-name
#Default: NULL
# Indicates the domain from which the client most often requests names. When
# this parameter is set the default domain name (for example, US.ACME), the
# domain name will be automatically appended to any unqualified name in an
# ONAmes request (query, register, deregister, etc). Any name which contains
# an unescaped dot ('.') will not have the default domain appended. Simple
# names may be qualified with a trailing dot (for example 'rootserver.').
#names.initial_retry_timeout = 30
#Syntax: 1-600 seconds
#Default: 15 (OSD)
# Determines how long a client will wait for a response from a Names Server
# before reiterating the request to the next server in the preferred_servers
# list.
#names.max_open_connections = 3
#Syntax: 3-64
#Default: ADDRS in preferred_servers
# Determines how many connections an ONames client may have open at one time.
# Clients will ordinarily keep connections to servers open once they are
# established until the operation (or session in namesctl) is complete. A
# connection will be opened whenever needed, and if the maximum would be
# exceeded the least recently used connection will be closed.
#names.message_pool_start_size = 10
#Syntax: 3-256
#Default: 10
# Determines the initial number of messages allocated in the client's message
# pool. This pool provides the client with pre-allocated messages to be used
# for requests to ONames servers. Messages which are in the pool and unused
# may be reused. If a message is needed and no free messages are available in
# the pool more will be allocated.
#names.preferred_servers = (address_list =
# (address=(protocol=ipc)(key=n23))
# (address=(protocol=tcp)(host=nineva)(port=1383))
# (address=(protocol=tcp)(host=cicada)(port=1575))
#Syntax: ADDR_LIST
#Default: Well-Known (OSD)
# Specifies a list of ONames servers in the client's region; requests will be
# sent to each ADDRESS in the list until a response is recieved, or the list
# (and number of retries) is exhausted.
# Addresses of the following form specify that messages to the ONames server
# should use Oracle Remote Operations (RPC):
# (description =
# (address=(protocol=tcp)(host=nineva)(port=1383))
# (connect_data=(rpc=on))
#names.request_retries = 2
#Syntax: 1-5
#Default: 1
# Specifies the number of times the client should try each server in the list
# of preferred_servers before allowing the operation to fail.
#names.directory_path
#Syntax: <adapter-name>
#Default: TNSNAMES,ONAMES,HOSTNAME
# Sets the (ordered) list of naming adaptors to use in resolving a name.
# The default is as shown for 3.0.2 of sqlnet onwards. The default was
# (TNSNAMES, ONAMES) before that. The value can be presented without
# parentheses if only a single entry is being specified. The parameter is
# recognized from version 2.3.2 of sqlnet onward. Acceptable values include:
# TNSNAMES -- tnsnames.ora lookup
# ONAMES -- Oracle Names
# HOSTNAME -- use the hostname (or an alias of the hostname)
# NIS -- NIS (also known as "yp")
# CDS -- OSF DCE's Cell Directory Service
# NDS -- Novell's Netware Directory Service
# - Client Cache (ONRSD) ---------------------------------------------
names.addresses = (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=IPC)(KEY=ONAMES))
Syntax: ADDR
Default: (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=IPC)(KEY=ONAMES))
Address on which the client cache listens (is available to clients).
Any valid TNS address is allowed. The default should be used if at
all possible; clients have this entry hardwired as the first line
of their server-list file (sdns.ora). If the address is set to a
non-default value the client's preferred_servers parameter should
be set to include the client-cache address first.
names.authority_required = False
Syntax: T/F
Default: False
Determines whether system querys (for the root etc) require Authoritative
answers.
names.auto_refresh_expire = 259200
Syntax: Number of seconds, 60-1209600
Default: 259200
This is the amount of time (in seconds) the server will cache the addresses
of servers listed in server-list file (sdns.ora). When this time expires the
server will issue another query to the servers in those regions to refresh
the data.
names.auto_refresh_retry = 180
Syntax: Number of seconds, 60-3600
Default: sec. 180
This set how often the server will retry when the auto_refresh query fails.
names.cache_checkpoint_file = cache.ckp
Syntax: filename
Default: $ORACLE_HOME/network/names/ckpcch.ora
Specifies the name of the operating system file to which the Names Server
writes its foreign data cache.
names.cache_checkpoint_interval = 7200
Syntax: Number of seconds, 10-259200
Default: 0 (off)
Indicates the interval at which a Names Server writes a checkpoint of its
data cache to the checkpoint file.
names.default_forwarders=
(FORWARDER_LIST=
(FORWARDER=
(NAME= rootserv1.world)
(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(PORT=42100)(HOST=roothost))))
Syntax: Name-Value/address_list
Default: NULL
A list (in NV form) of the addresses of other servers which should be used to
forward querys while in default_forwarder (slave) mode. NAME is the global
names for the server to which forwards whould be directed, and ADDRESS is its
address.
names.default_forwarders_only = True
Syntax: T/F
Default: False
When set to true this server will use the servers listed in default_forwarders
to forward all operations which involve data in foreign regions. Otherwise it
will use the servers defined in the server-list file (sdns.ora) in addition
to any defined in the default_forwarders parameter.
names.log_directory = /oracle/network/log
Syntax: directory
Default: $ORACLE_HOME/network/log
Indicates the name of the directory where the log file for Names Server
operational events are written.
names.log_file = names.log
Syntax: filename
Default: names.log
The name of the output file to which Names Server operational events are
written.
names.log_stats_interval = 3600
Syntax: Number of seconds, 10-ub4max
Default: sec. 0 (off)
Specifies the number of seconds between statistical entries in log file.
names.log_unique = False
Syntax: T/F
Default: False
If set to true the server will guarantee that the log file will have a unique
name which will not overwrite any existing files (note that log files are
appended to, so log information will not be lost if log_unique is not true).
names.max_open_connections = 10
Syntax: 3-64
Default: 10
Specifies the number of connections that the Names Server can have open at any
given time. The value is generated as the value 10 or the sum of one
connection for listening, five for clients, plus one for each foreign domain
defined in the local administrative region, whichever is greater. Any
operation which requires the server to open a network connection will use
an already open connection if it is available, or will open a connection
if not. Higher settings will save time and cost network resources; lower
settings save network resources, cost time.
names.max_reforwards = 2
Syntax: 1-15
Default: 2
The maximum number of times the server will attempt to forward a certain
operation.
names.message_pool_start_size = 24
Syntax: 3-256
Default: 10
Determines the initial number of messages allocated in the server's message
pool. This pool provides the server with pre-allocated messages to be used
for incoming or outgoing messages (forwards). Messages which are in the pool
and unused may be reused. If a message is needed and no free messages are
available in the pool more will be allocated.
names.no_modify_requests = False
Syntax: T/F
Default: False
If set to true, the server will refuse any operations which modify the
data in its region (it will still save foreign info in the cache which is
returned from foreign querys).
names.password = 625926683431AA55
Syntax: encrypted string
Default: NULL
If set the server will require that the user provide a password in his
namesctl session (either with sqlnet.ora:namesctl.server_password or 'set
password') in order to do 'sensitive' operations, like stop, restart, reload.
This parameter is generally set in encrypted form, so it can not be set
manually.
names.reset_stats_interval = 3600
Syntax: 10-ub4max
Default: 0 (off)
Specifies the number of seconds during which the statistics collected by the
Names Servers should accumulate. At the frequency specified, they are reset
to zero. The default value of 0 means never reset statistics.
names.trace_directory = /oracle/network/trace
Syntax: directory
Default: $ORACLE_HOME/network/trace
Indicates the name of the directory to which trace files from a Names Server
trace session are written.

Syntax: list of numbers
Default: NULL
Internal mechanism to control trace behavior.
names.trace_unique = True
Syntax: T/F
Default: False
Indicates whether each trace file has a unique name, allowing multiple trace
files to coexist. If the value is set to ON, a process identifier is appended
to the name of each trace file generated.
# - Namesctl ---------------------------------------------------------
#namesctl.trace_directory = /oracle/network/trace

Create materialized view throws insufficient privileges in single schema
I'm trying to create a complex materialized view in my own schema, using only tables from my own schema:
CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW MYSCHEMA.MYMVIEW AS
SELECT
A.ONE_THING,
B.ANOTHER_THING,
C.A_THIRD_THING
FROM MYSCHEMA.TABLEA A
JOIN MYSCHEMA.TABLEB B
ON A.COL1 = B.COL1
JOIN MYSCHEMA.TABLEC C
ON A.COL2 = C.COL2The line JOIN MYSCHEMA.TABLEB B throws an ORA-01031: insufficient privileges error, highlighting TABLEB.
I understand that grants need to be explicit on tables when creating objects across schemas, but this code is operating within my own schema only; i created and own all the tables in this schema.
What's going on?
Thanks!Perhaps it is the tool that i am using that highlights the wrong item, because as it turns out, i don't have the CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW permission after all (the permission was mistakenly granted to a different user instead of to me).
SELECT * FROM SESSION_PRIVS;returns CREATE VIEW, but does not return CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW.
Sorry to have wasted your time. -
Ora-01031 insufficient privileges oracle
Hi to all,
I have installed oracle 10g and created new database. When i try to create the simple view its showing the following error.
ora-01031 insufficient privileges oracle
Note: if i have logged thru admin user, i could able to create the view (system & manager). Though i have provide the grant permission i could not able to create the view, its asking for priviledges.
say create or replace view view_name as select * from employees;
Error: ora-01031 insufficient privileges oracle
Thanks in advanceHi,
You need the CREATE VIEW system privilege in order to create a view. This is in addition to SELECT privileges on the tables granted directly to you (not to some role you have). -
OIM Bulk Load: Insufficient privileges
Hi All,
I'm trying to use the OIM Bulk Load Utility and I keep getting this error message:
Exception in thread "main" java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
ORA-06512: at "OIMUSER.OIM_BLKLD_SP_CREATE_LOG", line 39
ORA-06512: at "OIMUSER.OIM_BLKLD_PKG_USR", line 281
I've followed the instructions and gone over everything a few times. The utility tests the connection to the database OK.
I don't know much about oracle db's so I am not sure how to do even basic troubleshooting. Could I just give my OIMUSER full permissions? Shouldn't it have full permission as it is?
I did have to create a tablespace for this utility, maybe the OIMUSER needs to be give access to this? I have no idea....
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
AlexEven i got same error, at that time db oim user had following permission:
CREATE TABLE
CREATE VIEW
QUERY REWRITE
UNLIMITED TABLESPACE
EXECUTE ON SYS.DBMS_SHARED_POOL
EXECUTE ON SYS.DBMS_SYSTEM
SELECT ON SYS.DBA_2PC_PENDING
SELECT ON SYS.DBA_PENDING_TRANSACTIONS
SELECT ON SYS.PENDING_TRANS$
SELECT ON SYS.V$XATRANS$
CONNECT
RESOURCE
Later DBA provided following additional permission and it worked like a charm:-
CREATE ANY INDEX
CREATE ANY SYNONYM
CREATE ANY TRIGGER
CREATE ANY TYPE
CREATE DATABASE LINK
CREATE JOB
CREATE LIBRARY
CREATE MATERIALIZED VIEW
CREATE PROCEDURE
CREATE SEQUENCE
CREATE TABLE
CREATE TRIGGER
CREATE VIEW -
You have insufficient privileges to the current operation
Hi hussein,
EBS 11i
AIX 5L
I have just finished cloning our EBS to the DEV server. All process and services were succssful.
Except I see some failed message about OUI registration? in the ouInventory? because no permission of the directory
But it scrolled so fast and I can not retrieve back the log.
It says you can run registration again by run the dir which I was not able to capture.
So when I login SYSADMIN/SYSADMIN to the new cloned instance, I got this error:
You have insufficient privileges to the current operationAll userid have this error message when logged in.
Is this caused by the failed ouInventory registratrion?
Where can I find that file to run for registration?
Please help....
Thanks a lot
Ms Khussein,
I try to apply the solution for doc
Cannot Login After Changing Load Balancing Parameters (new host and domain) [ID 739507.1]Actually I did not setup for a Load Balancer. Its just an ordinary clone.
Cause
Cookie issue.
The HTTP header trace showed that the cookie did not use the value of ICX_SESSION_ID compared with a working environment.
It has been determined that the ICX_PARAMETERS table has old value for session_domain_name.
Solution
To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:
1. Update the "s_cookie_domain" context variable to the new load balancer domain value
2. Run autoconfig
3. Check the value of "session_cookie_domain" in the ICX_PARAMETERS table:
select * from ICX_PARAMETERS;
4. If it is the old value then do the following:
a. backup the ICX_PARAMETERS table:
create table ICX_PARAMETERS_BKP
as select * from ICX_PARAMETERS;
b. update the table with the sql statement below:
update ICX_PARAMETERS,
set session_cookie_domain='<new load balancer domain name>';
5. Bounce Apache and retest the login issue. But I can not find "s_cookie_domain" in my context file. :( -

"insufficient privileges" errors when installing iTunes 10.0 (Bonjour)
I attempted to install iTunes 10.0. Initially I used the auto-installer and I received the following errors:
"The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\Program Files\Bonjour. The installation cannot continue. Log on as administrator or contact your system administrator."
Then the same error with the following file:
"C: \Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\com.yahoo.go.sync.client.resources\...\Windows."
I was given two options to either "retry" or "cancel" --"retry" just keeps throwing the error up. I was forced to click "cancel" both times.
Following hitting cancel twice I got an "installation interrupted" message telling me that the installation had failed.
Following the errors recommendation, I logged off and relogged on as the administrator. Then I downloaded iTunes 10.0 from the Apple web site and attempted to install it manually as the administrator while logged on as the administrator (right click the program "run as Administrator"). I received all the same errors and the same failed installation.
When I attempt to go into the program files and alter the privileges to bonjour or the Apple\mobile device support I get a “you do not have permission to view or edit this object’s permission settings” even when logged on as the administrator. It appears that both are Apple programs probably installed with a previous version of iTunes so I am not too sure why the tight security and why I do not have the ability to modify them.
I am running Windows 7 (32bit). Any assistance with getting iTunes 10.0 installed correctly would be greatly appreciated.Hi there, this is what had to do.
First a bit background. I got the same errors. Insufficient privies for this and that. Logged in as Admin, same problem. Gave my user account Admin rights, still same problem.. now it actually said only 'Creator/Users' can install etc.
So long story short deleting, rebooting, magic... all failed.
1. I uninstalled all Apple software!!
2. yes all of it. Uninstall programs. Uninstalled Apple stuff, then Bonjour then Quick time.
3. tried to delete folders that were left behind, got smacked with insufficient rights to do so.
4. Logged in as Admin (that will teach ya Win 7)
5. Used Unlocker and LockHunter. I was able to unlock/kill process of some files and was able to delete some folders, but not all (grrrr)
6. disabled AntiVirus/Spyware program
7. that allowed me to delete all folders (wth? .. okay then)
8. went into registry and Searched for 'Apple'
9. fainted when I saw hundreds of Apple entries.
10. deleted all obvious 'Apple', 'MobileMe' and 'Quicktime entries', take care not to delete 'Applet...' stuff. Not the same. Like I said I only got rid of obvious Apple software stuff.
11. finally I ran CCleaner (great app, get it and donate a couple of $$) and had it scan, back up and clean my registry.
12 rebooted and logged in as me/user
13 checked /program files to make sure bonjour, apple and quicktime was really gone
14. downloaded latets itunes
15. installed itunes, did my back ups and updated ipod software
man that only took me a couple of hours -
I am trying to install iTunes 10.7 and keep getting this error message (I am running Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit):
"The installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\common\files\apple\MobileDeviceSupport\Sync Services\....\Windows"
There seem to be other threads that deal with other permission errors, those fixes did not work for this.
ThanksThat one's consistent with disk/file damage. The first thing I'd try with that is running a disk check (chkdsk) over your C drive.
XP instructions in the following document: How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP
Vista instructions in the following document: Check your hard disk for errors
Windows 7 instructions in the following document: How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk)
Select both Automatically fix file system errors and Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors, or use chkdsk /r (depending on which way you decide to go about doing this). You'll almost certainly have to schedule the chkdsk to run on startup. The scan should take quite a while ... if it quits after a few minutes or seconds, something's interfering with the scan.
Does the chkdsk find/repair any damage? If so, can you get an install to go through properly afterwards? -
DB13: ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
Hello All,
I entered the t-code DB13 and I have the following error: ORA-01031: insufficient privileges, which I re-searched on the OSS for support and I found this note: Note 1028220 - ORA-01031: Insufficient privileges despite SAPCONN role, which I have verfied all the permssions and roles. Still no luck on accessingt he DB13 t-codes. I tried to execute this SQL Script that is being executed by Db13 in OS using SQL Plus. i still get the same error. I am not sure what permission I am missing here. Could you please tell me what I am exactly missing here.
SELECT beg, funct, sysid, obj, rc, ende, actid,
line FROM sap_sdbah WHERE beg BETWEEN
'20090105000000' AND '20090210235959' AND sysid =
'BIQ'
SQL> select grantee, granted_role, default_role
2 from dba_role_privs
3 where grantee = 'SAPSR3';
GRANTEE GRANTED_ROLE DEF
SAPSR3 SAPCONN YES
I did run this script: sapconn_role.sql to set the permission correctly. No luck.
Note: I logged to the system as <SID>adm user.
Thanks in Advance
Thanks
KumarHi Stefan,
I just compared my BIQ System which is giving problem with accessing DB13 with BIP (production system) which works fine.
My BIQ has total rows: 2353 when I execute this SQL Script that you posted. Where as BIP gave me: 2383 rows selected.

The owner for BIQ has SAPSR3DB (which is Java schema) not sure how that happen. Where as BIP seems like fine with SAPSR3 schema owner. Looks like I need to change the owner ship of the tables from SAPSR3DB to SAPSR3 of those above BIQ tables. How do you change the owner ship for above rows?
My next question would be, what I do to those missing values in BIQ?
Please advice.
Thanks in Advance.

Why do I get a "ORA-01031: insufficient privileges" in my view creation?
Why do I get a "ORA-01031: insufficient privileges" in my view creation for the table which exists in the same schema?
Oracle version is 10g R2.
connect cim/lion;
create table cim.table1 (a number, b varchar2(10));
create view cim.view1 as select * from cim.table1;
create view cim.view1 as select * from cim.table1
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-01031: insufficient privilegesThanks it works now after giving CREATE VIEW permission to user CIM.
This script was working fine in Oracle 10g R1.
Looks like i need to execute the following GRANT permission explicitly
grant create view to cim; -
ITunes "updates" "insufficient privileges" errors ATTN: HELP KATRINA
Hi:
Yet again, I cannot download an iTunes update without it failing and forcing me to uninstall the whole iTunes appliciation. This is the message I get: "the installer has insufficient privileges to access this directory: c:\program files X86\comm files\apple\core fp. I once read a brilliant explanation how to get it to work again from Katrina S., but unfortunately cannot find that explanation again. I tried someone else's, which involved me going into "regedit" and doing a whole convoluted thing about giving myself permission to access everything. Since I am the SOLE user of this computer, I cannot understand this error message. PLEASE, KATRINA!! If you see this message, can you help?Glad you got it installed, and thanks for the points.
I can't really say whether this will fix it for good, since I don't know what else you've got installed on your PC. Security software, or installing other programs, could definitely change folder permissions without specifically telling you. That c:/program files/ folder is used by many windows applications - not just itunes.
If you get error messages about not having permission to a folder, whether it's during an itunes install or not, just go to the security tab and grant permissions again....to whatever folder is mentioned in the message.
