Invalid logic handler error

Hi to everybody,
I use this code to obtain a polygon´s coordinates.
STRUCT st = (oracle.sql.STRUCT) rs.getObject(j+1);
JGeometry geoData = JGeometry.load(st);
double [] coordenadas = geoData.getOrdinatesArray();
valores[j]=""+coordenadas[0];
for(int k=1;k<coordenadas.length;k++)
valores[j]=valores[j]+","+coordenadas[k];
When I execute a exception is thrown and the BD message is:
"El manejador lógico ya no es válido"
in English (more o less): "Logic handler is now invalid".
Any idea?
Thank you.

Hello again,
I think maybe the problem was the metadata, I insert this:
INSERT INTO USER_SDO_GEOM_METADATA (TABLE_NAME, COLUMN_NAME, DIMINFO, SRID)
VALUES ('LOCALIZACION', 'Poligono',
SDO_DIM_ARRAY
(SDO_DIM_ELEMENT('LONG', -180.0, 180.0, 0.5),
SDO_DIM_ELEMENT('LAT', -90.0, 90.0, 0.5)),
8307);
The atributte "Poligono" is a polygon,
is this correct?
Thanks.

    Object[] o = (Object[])a.getArray();
    This error occurs when we are using a connection from the Connection pool,. If however, we use the same code, bypassing the Connection pool , the above statement work.
    How can we resolve this issue? We are using Oracle 8i for our application.

    Hi James,
    I basically happens when a connection instance is refered, which was closed by another thread. It depends on the code, how you use connection pooling.
    Post the connection pooling code, so that we can have a look.

  • OCCI Error -  ORA-32102: invalid OCI handle

    Hi,
    I'm completely new to OCCI and Linux and trying to run the simple OCCI program given in oracle site (http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/oci/occi/occibasic.html) to connect a remote Oracle DB server.
    #include <iostream>
    #include <occi.h>
    using namespace std;
    using namespace oracle::occi;
    int main()
    Environment* env = Environment::createEnvironment();
    Connection* conn = env->createConnection("testdb", "testdb", "192.168.10.118:1521/ORADB"); // user, password, url
    Statement* stmt = conn->createStatement();
    stmt->setSQL("INSERT into FRUITS (fruit, amt) VALUES ('apple', 10)");
    stmt->executeUpdate();
    conn->terminateStatement(stmt);
    env->terminateConnection(conn);
    Environment::terminateEnvironment(env);
    return 0;
    When I try to run it after compilation it gives the following error.
    ORA-32102: invalid OCI handle
    The error should be in the line: Connection* conn = env->createConnection("testdb", "testdb", "192.168.10.118:1521/ORADB");
    I could track it by placing a cout<< there.
    Why this is and how can I handle this error? Please post your experience.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    I found the reason. It may due to the permission level of the user "testdb". When I tried with a different user it worked!
    Thanks

  • Error message "invalid menu handle"

    When I convert files to .pdf, I cannot open it and receive an error message "invalid menu handle." How do I remedy this?

    It does sound as though your computer is in a different state than you had it, and I can't provide any support for that. This forum is for users of Adobe's Acrobat.com services.
    If you need help with Adobe Reder, try posting in that forum: http://forums.adobe.com/community/adobe_reader_forums
    Perhaps it's just a matter of making Reader your default program for opening PDF files.
    Good luck!

  • Invalid Handle Error

    Is anyone who is current on NCF updates still seeing the Invalid Handle error or is having any other difficulties when opening either the Log Viewer or Auto Update?
    You're current if your aupdhist.log file has an entry for "New package dated 02.26.2004 [ID=20040226_1142] "
    We've closed this defect as it seemed to get fixed with the changes we made in Update 1 that allow you to limit the log file size. Was kind of a "free" bug fix, if you will. Got resolved accidentally. ;) But I just wanted to poll the room and make sure everyone's ok on this issue.
    Thanks,

  • ORABPEL-05002 - Message handle error - Session has timed out or was invalid

    In our production environment we are facing this issue.
    We are trying to find the root cause to fix the issue.
    My Understanding:*
    In the below error message,
    we are able to see the Session has timed out or invalidated.
    Also we are able to see the Non-fatal connection error. I believe that when the MDB trying to process the dispatched message, it will invoke the message from invoke_message table of dehydration store. At this point of time it gets non-fatal connection error so we are gettign this error.
    I need to know the difference between fatal and non-fatal connection error. Is my understanding correct or not ?

    I'm having the same problem. I posted to VSM sample and Pooled ApplicationModule Maximum Inactive Age
    which seems to be a similar situation.
    Does anyone have any information on where this time out parameter is set on either the app module or OAS and how to handle this error correctly?
    Thanks,

  • Logical handle no longer valid

    I am getting the "logical handle no longer valid" SQLException when I reach the point in code marked by
    Object[] oaResults = (Object[])saResults.getArray();
    I can't explain this! I have talked to every Java developer I know without any answers. This code has been in implementation for the last whole year and has been working like a charm. All I changed recently was the Connection Pooling implementation to use Oracle's OracleConnectionCacheImpl class. I have my own FINAPPS_Connection wrapper around it. FINAPPS_Connection acts as a Singleton class.
    All the connection, execution and closure of statements is happening in one method. This method gets connection from the Connection Pool, instantiates FINAPPS_OracleCallableStatement which is a wrapper around OracleCallableStatement class, prepares the OracleCallableStatement, sets and register's parameters, executes the query and reads the results in the STRUCTs returned by the callable statement object. It is fine reading one of the STRUCT, then it breaks down the second struct that contains a String object and an Array object. I am able to read the String object but when it starts to read the Array object, it breaks down and gives me the "Logical handle no longer valid" error.
    Funny thing is, it doesn't happen all the time. It just happens randomly now and then. Sometimes it happens so often that a user can't do anything. In that case, I just try restarting the app server(JRun 3.0) which usually works!
    There is only ONE operation that I do per connection per statement. I only FETCH. I never update or commit or do anything. All I need to do is submit user query and return results to the screen. Thats it. I close the connection and statement object right after I am done with them. So there should be no reason for connection to hang around and I am using one connection for one transaction so there should be no confusion there either.
    Please help!!
    Janmeet.
    try
    //connect to database for stored procedure call
    FINAPPS_Connection m_cCon = connectToDB(hmDBParams);

    //set and register parameters
    m_cCon.setRegParams(m_oCallableStmt, ht, DbNode);
    /execute stored procedure
    m_cCon.executeSP(m_oCallableStmt, 5);
    //Obtain action Struct
    STRUCT actionStruct = m_oCallableStmt.getSTRUCT(6);
    Object[] actionAttrArray = actionStruct.getAttributes();
    String theAction = (String)actionAttrArray[0];

    m_sAction=theAction;

    STRUCT arrayStruct = m_oCallableStmt.getSTRUCT(4);
    Object[] outputAttrArray = arrayStruct.getAttributes();
    String totalDollars = outputAttrArray[1].toString();
    m_htStats.put("TotalDollarAmount", totalDollars.toString());
    Array atrARR = (Array)outputAttrArray[0];
    Array saResults = atrARR;

    Struct theResult = (Struct)oaResults;
    if (theResult != null)
    Object[] oaAttributes = ((Struct)oaResults).getAttributes();
    cols = oaAttributes.length;
    sbTemp.append("<row>");
    for(int j = 0; j < cols; j++)
    sbTemp.append("<colLabel>");
    sbTemp.append(oaAttributes[j]);
    sbTemp.append("</colLabel>");
    sbTemp.append("</row>");
    szResult = sbTemp.toString();
    sbTemp=null;
    szResult = "<Data>" + getHeader(rows, cols) + szResult + "</Data>";
    setOutputArray(szResult);
    setError(m_oCallableStmt);
    m_oCallableStmt.close();
    m_oCallableStmt=null;
    m_cCon.close();
    }

    Logical handle no longer valid means your connection is stale. When using connection pooling it is sadly all too common to get handed out a connection from the pool that has actually timed out at the server side. If you look at eg the Jakarta Commons GenericDataSource they have a pingQuery property meant to support checking if a connection really is alive before handing it out, for this very reason.
    The oracle pool (last time I used it - a year ago) was pretty bad for this, and didnt provide any api help for marking connections as invalid, or telling the driver how to test for this condition. Its not the only problem with the oracle drivers, or the worst, but at least its easily avoided. Use another connection pool implementation like the jakarta one or tyrex.

  • If createConnection hit "connection lost contact" then "invalid OCI handle"

    I am facing a peculiar error with OCCI API :
    The c++ application make use of OCCI API to interact with 10 different oracle DBs sequentially in loop, but the moment
    pConn = pEnv->createConnection(a_usr, a_pass, a_connection) for 1 slow db is hit with "ORA-03135: connection lost contact" then
    for all the remaining other db execution I get a constant error - "ORA-32102: invalid OCI handle" i.e
    when the control moves to next db then "pConn = pEnv->createConnection" is successful for all the rest db but when
    pRes = pStmt->executeQuery() is executed I get this - "ORA-32102: invalid OCI handle" standard error.
    The rest of dbs are live, cross checked with SQLPLUS.
    The OCCI resources and handlers are initialized in class and remains in memory till the end of the application. In healthy situation the application works fine for all10 dbs and handles all the ORA errors well except for this situation.
    Question: When OCCI hit ORA-03135 error in createConnection method , does OCCI releases the memory (or handlers) ..? If yes then with the same "env" handler why OCCI succeeds in making the next connection and we have correct "con" handler, similarly "createStatement" is also successful but this same "statement" handler the executeQuery() fails with -invalid OCI handle ??
    In healthy situation all logic works just fine, I am able to get the data that means sql queries and resultset handle code is perfect.
    Thanks in advance,
    Vijay

  • Invalid File Name Errors when syncing to Ipod

    Ever since an update last fall I have been getting Invalid file name errors when I try to sync my ipod. A window would pop up saying "Windows could not copy 'SONGNAME' to the iPod 'IPODNAME' because an unkown error occurred (-37)." I would press OK and another window would immediately pop up that would say, "Attempting to copy to the disk 'IPODNAME' failed. the file name is invalid or too long."
    The windows would keep popping up countless times until the sync would just seem to time out and stop.
    The problem songs would have no problem playing in iTunes.
    Prior to the update this did not happen. No new songs were added around this time and nothing was changed to my file directory structure. I was too busy to troubleshoot this problem at the time and hoped that another update would fix it. Well, here I am many months and updates later and still no fix. After fiddling with iTunes and resetting my Ipod multiple times (goodbye saved angry bird games)I have found out that:
    1. By writing down the file name when the error windows pop up I can get a partial list of the problem file names. I could not get a complete list of the problem files because the sync would time out before a full list could be compiled (the list appears to be in the hundreds).
    2. If I changed the name of the file by adding OR deleting one character, remapping the song in itunes, the song would then sync properly.
    3. If I changed the name of the file, remapped the location of the file within iTunes, changed the name of the file BACK to the original name that iTunes supposedly had a problem with, and then remapped the location of the song within iTunes, the song would then sync properly
    4. If I moved the song to a different directory without changing the file name, remapped the song within iTunes, the song would sync properly.
    5. If I moved the song to a different directory without changing the file name, remapped the song within iTunes, moved the file BACK to the original directory, remapped the song again, the song would sync properly.
    6. If I renamed the file and then named it back to the original file name WITHOUT remapping the file location in iTunes, the song would still not sync properly
    7. If I moved the file into a different directory and then back again without remapping the file location, the song would still not sync properly.
    8. Changing or deleting the tags has no effect at all.
    9. File name lengths are already under 200 characters and there are no special characters used.
    So, to sum up, I have found out a way to fix the issue. The problem is, that there are hundreds of songs that appear to be affected and renaming or moving every single one individually and then remapping is extremely inefficient and ignores the cause of the problem. I also did not want to delete the itunes library and then add all of the songs back in because I have many custom playlists that I have spent hours creating and I do not want to delete them.
    Is there a better way to fix the problem? Especially if someone knows the root cause?

    I got a procmon log file and examined it. I have the file and I could also provide you with that or screenshots of it.
    There is nothing unusual about it. I can see entires in which CR has successfully opened the report and has cached in a c:\windows\temp.
    However there is one or two non-successful entries that may be related, especially that examining the stack trace brings us to a call to get_ProductLocaleID():
    - A call to read reg entry HKU\S-1-5-20\Software\Business Objects\Suite 12.0\Crystal Reports\Locale fails with NAME NOT FOUND.
    - immediately after that and from the same process (w3wp.ex) there is a call to open directory "c:\" which is logged as ACCESS DENIED.
    Any subsequent unsuccessful calls seem to be results of exception handling in the debug code.
    Does this point to any setup issues with CR? We always run the redistributable x86 runtime when installing it.

  • "Invalid DOS version" error message when installing Tomcat in Windows98

    I tried to install Tomcat 5.0 in Windows 98. At first, it produced "Out of Environment Space" error message. I then changed the "Initial Environment" from Auto to other values (bigger than 2816) for both startup.bat and shutdown.bat.
    When I restarted the Tomcat, it produce "Invalid DOS version" error message. I thought about updating the DOS but previously when I had WinXP installed in computer, I couldn't access to the server due to the dos version issue.
    Is there any way to handle this? I would really appreciate the help:) Thank you very much..

    no, use the serial number listed on the page where you downloaded acrobat 7, not your acrobat serial number

  • Invalid sibling link error

    I have a 15" PB which gave an "invalid sibling link error" one month ago and I was not able to even repair it using DiskWarrior. I have Apple Care Protection plan, so I sent it for repairs and the repair guys replaced the motherboard as they suspected it was the reason. On return, I reformatted the HD and installed everything from stratch. Everything was working fine till last Saturday morning, when computer would not boot up. So I checked using Disk Utility from PB DVD, and the dreaded "invalid sibling error" came up again. Since I have a bootable backup of the HD, I formatted the HD and tried to load the system on the HD from the backup copy. But the writing of backup using CCC hung up and I had to quit it. After that I was not able to find the HD using Disk Utility from DVD.
    I have sent it for repairs again, but can anyone help me understand the core problem here. Since last time they replaced the motherboard, I think they will replace the HD this time around. Is the logic board, motherboard or the HD that is the root cause of the problem?
    Powerbook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   100GB HDD, 1.5GB RAM

    I had never heard of "invalid sibling link error" until you post, and when I ran a search on it the best explanation I could find is that it is a directory-related problem. See the following (assuming it is correct): http://www.computing.net/mac/wwwboard/forum/2584.html The suggestion there, though, is that DIsk Warrior should be able to fix the problem, and you've already told us that you tried using Disk Warrior on it and it did not work.
    Very puzzling. Please post back what happens when you get your PB back from being repaired.
    Good luck.

    The report that fails have a main report with a datasource to SQL. The report does have about 20 - 25 subreports mostly based on the same datasource. There are however 6 subreports that uses ttx files as datasources.
    The report works fine when there is no data for the ttx subreports, but whenever a "change datasource" is tried to the ttx subreports the error "Invalid subreport name Error code:-2147483086" pops up.
    We have done noumerous tests on the pojo approach in other reports so the technic and code works just fine - it most be some special case in the report.
    Before we start to try to rebuild the report we will give you a chance to help us out. The report sucker is big and complex so a rebuild is not wanted...
    Here is the particular code involved
    private static void passPOJO(ReportClientDocument clientDoc,
                ReportPojoHolder pojoHolder, String reportName)
                    throws ReportSDKException,ClassNotFoundException {
            //Its a pojo data source, but it's nothing in it
            if (pojoHolder.getPojos().size() == 0) {
                return;
            String reportTable = pojoHolder.getTableName();
            Object pojo = pojoHolder.getPojos().iterator().next();
            POJOResultSetFactory factory = new POJOResultSetFactory(pojo.getClass());
            POJOResultSet resultSet = (POJOResultSet)factory.createResultSet(pojoHolder.getPojos());
            if(reportName == null || reportName.equals("")) {
                clientDoc.getDatabaseController().setDataSource(resultSet, reportTable, reportTable);
            else {
                System.err.println("Setting data in " + reportName );
    //Here comes the error
                clientDoc.getSubreportController().getSubreport(reportName).
                    getDatabaseController().setDataSource(resultSet, reportTable, reportTable);
    Here is the stacktrace:

    I have been able to wrestle this down after a lot of frustrating work. The error had nothing to do with pojos at all. The error was simple a store procedure that did not reply nothing.
    In the preparation of the subreport that did consist of the pojo data source. The report(server?) did send a "pre call" to the store procedure with NULL as parameters. The reply was unfortunately an "empty" reply. When we changed the reply to an empty result set it went pass the data sources.
    The error message given on this was "Invalid subreport name"! Not very helpful at all.
    I have used this new version for about 3 weeks now in a "proof of concept" work controlling if we would be able to upgrade from crystal 9/Harmoni to Crystal 2008/Crystal Report Server 2008. The answer will be yes. It will work. And with a minimum of report changes which is very nice.
    What have struck me the most during this work is a few proposals to improvements.
    1. Put the versions on jars and sdk's so it's obvious what's used. I spent a few days with an old version of a sdk believing that it was a newer than I already had. It should not be neccessary to go through a manifest file inside a jar in order to find out what the version is. Put it on the file names!
    2. Give proper error messages back when something goes wrong. If a parameter value is missing. Send back the parameter that's missed/misses a value for Gods sake. The programmer catching the error most know what's missed hence the message. Would save the user's of the API very much time.
    I spent about 5 - 10 days trying to find out what was wrong with my sub report name (This thread). It had nothing to do with the subreport name. It had to do with missing data from a called store procedure!
    3. The documentation can be a bit tricky to find. I saw that you have given away a eclipse plugin in order to gather the documentation inside the IDE. That's a good approach.
    If the error messages will be enhanced and more accurate it's a pretty handy api to work with. And the handling of unmanaged reports is a wet dream compared to usage of the Harmoni API. That's a real nightmare. The server seems to be very stable and just runs.
    I like this forum, fast replies when one is stuck is extremely helpful!

    Anyone can help me? Please.
    Kind Regards, denis

    Hi,
    The correct code for insert blobs must be writed like this:
    try
    env=Environment::createEnvironment(Environment::OBJECT);
    connPool = env->createConnectionPool(userName, password,
    database, minConn, maxConn, incrConn);
    conn=connPool->createConnection(userName,password);
    //1. First insert empty blobs in tables...
    Blob blobRequest;
    blobRequest.setEmpty(conn);
    Blob blobResponse;
    blobResponse.setEmpty(conn);
    stmt = conn->createStatement("BEGIN STORE_REQUEST(:1,:2); END;");
    stmt->setBlob(1,blobRequest);
    stmt->setBlob(2,blobResponse);
    stmt->executeUpdate();
    //2.Select Blobs for update and commit
    stmt2 = conn->createStatement("SELECT REQUEST,RESPONSE FROM STORE WHERE ID=:ID FOR UPDATE");
    stmt2->setString(1,id.c_str());
    ResultSet *rs = stmt2->executeQuery();
    if(rs->next())
    blobRequest = rs->getBlob(1);
    blobRequest.write((unsigned int)bytesOut, req_buffer, (unsigned int)bytesOut);
    blobResponse = rs->getBlob(2);
    blobResponse.write((unsigned int)bytesAckOut, resp_buffer, (unsigned int)bytesAckOut);
    conn->commit();
    else
    conn->rollback();
    catch(SQLException &e)
    cout << "Error in Constructor Call " << endl;
    cout << "Error Number: " << e.getErrorCode() << endl;
    cout << e.getMessage() << endl;
    stmt2->closeResultSet(rs);
    conn->terminateStatement(stmt);
    conn->terminateStatement(stmt2);
    connPool->terminateConnection (conn);
    env->terminateConnectionPool (connPool);
    Environment::terminateEnvironment(env);

    Which version are you using? I believe that adding regions started from CU2. Confirm this.
    Did you set the profle FND:OA Enable Defaults? This may not be the cause for your error but I got some LOV map errors because of this. There is a thread in the forum on this.
    Ensure that your path and spelling are correct. The error shows ...CostPG. Should it be ...RN perhaps? LOV Regions are usually called RN.
    If all else fails open a tar.

    Hi Zulqarnain,
    Error OSD-04001 is Windows NT specific Oracle message. It means that the logical block size is not a multiple of 512 bytes, or it is too large.
    So what you can do? Well you should try to change the value of DB_BLOCK_SIZE in the initialization parameter file.
