Invalid values in 'Top Sessions'

I have a newly install OEM grid control and on the "Top Sessions" page for multiple databases, I am seeing 'bad' values for every session on numerous columns, i.e.
CPU (1/100 sec) 1127219200
Logical Reads 1106247680
Hard Parses 1127219200
Disk Sorts 5658315534953873408
I am getting these result against both 10.2.0.1 and 9.2.0.6 version databases. I have used 'Monitoring Configuration' to setup the dbsnmp user and install statspack. It seems to me as though I must have a bad version of the statspack tables or something.

I am also facing same issue.. in fact, in our case, all the values in the columns like Disk sorts, total parses, hard parses are all same for all the sessions.
And our target OS is
SunOS 5.9 Generic_118558-22 (64-bit) .
Would you please pos the bug number, so I can gather some more info.

I am trying to insert HTML form parameters into database using <xsql:insert-request>. It worked fine except that it displays <xsql-status action="xsql:insert-request" rows="1"/> after it inserts the data into the database. I am trying to follow the insertnewsform example in Steve's book "building oracle xml applications" to return user a thank-you note. Here is my problem:
I have four files:
faqform.html (html form, action=faqfeed.xsql)
faqfeed.xsql
request-to-faq.xsl (used as transform for faqfeed.xsql)
thankyou.xsl (used for returning user a thank-you)
When I submit the html form, I get an error saying:
"The XML page cannot be displayed
Cannot view XML input using style sheet. Please correct the error and then click the Refresh button, or try again later.
Invalid at the top level of the document. Line 1, Position 43
<?xml version = '1.0' encoding = 'UTF-8'?>"
I didn't put "encoding..." in any of my xsql files, not sure where that came from. When I used faqfeed.xsql?xml-stylesheet=none in the url and it showed up as a well-formed xml file with all the info I need. Here is my faqfeed.xsql and thankyou.xsl

Do the XSQL Demos work correctly on your system?
The error you're getting seems like maybe the *.xsql extension is not mapped properly to the oracle.xml.xsql.XSQLServlet class in your servlet engine.

About Top session in a DB

Hi,all,
I need to decide what is top session in a DB, to see how much it would consume resource in that server. When I use TOAD to do it, I find these are so many factors when I make dicision. such as "CPU used by","Physical write" ...
That means "It is top session sort by CPU used by". So I want to know those essential factors, by which certain session would consume much resource.
Do you have any advice? Are there any scripts on hand to do this job,except third-part tool like TOAD?

However when I want to work with the top sessions I use the Performance Manager ( This is part of OEM ). These are its advices and descriptions.
Top SessionsSessions are displayed in descending order based upon the delta value of the statistic chosen as the sort statistic. This is a customizable chart that allows sorting and filtering of sessions based upon a number of user settable criterion.Typically the session that is performing the most I/O is the session that should be targetted for tuning. To identify the SQL statement the session is currently executing you can drill down to the Current SQL Chart. From this drilldown you can choose to tune the SQL statement directly.Complete detailed information about any session can be found by selecting the session and drilling down to the Session Details Chart. This chart allows you to view the current SQL statement as well as resource consumption and performance metrics at the same time.The list of all cursors the session has currently open is available through the Open Cursors For This Session Chart. This helps identify all the SQL statements the session is using. From this chart SQL statements can be selected for tuning further drilldown and analysis.This chart can be used to create a customized Top Sessions view. Calling report from FORM - error Invalid value of paramente 'P_YEAR'

Hi guys,
Could you please help me to figure out what is going wrong
with my form which run a report?
I am using Developer suite 10g.
when i run report from report application it run fine,
but when i call that report from a form it gives me error.
I have checked the datatype, checked the parameter value
that I assign from form is available in the report parameter value.
What else do i have to check in order to run this report
from the form.

Invalid value for variable 0calyear in planning modeller

Hi Experts,
I have an urgent requirement. In my planning modeller I have a variable for 0calyear for accepting current year and target year. If I give target year(for example, 2015) which is not present in 0calyear it is showing error that 2015 is an invalid value for 0calyear. If I give 2012 it is working fine because it is already present in 0calyear.
I would like to know how we can solve this issue. To forecast data anyway we have to enter a future year. I would really appreciate if anyone could give some information to solve the issue.

Just a thought.
Can you load a flat file data with year values into a DSO with 0CALYEAR as key? ( SID generation as active ).
What I am expecting is this flat file load will generate SIDs for 0CALYEAR in future year as well.
Subsequently if you try to enter that in your planning variable it should work.
I understand this is not a perfect solution. But want you to try and adopt if this is a reasonable work around.

Before clone the report GEPS FA Prepare Mass Addition Report runs fine. But after cloned from production, it shows error:

Actually I didn't have such column 'G_MASS_ADDITION_INVOICE'. This is a group name. I tried a lot, such as widden the formula column width or delete the formula column, but it still show this error. I didn't have any trigger or other formula column. Even I create a new report use the same name with a single query( select sysdate from dual), but it still shows the same error.
Is there anyone faced this issue before or can help me ? Thanks

Invalid value in OPTION field of value table for IN itab operator. operato

Hi,
I am working on SELECT-OPTIONS to accept single and multiple values for company code. I am using CREATE_RANGE_TABLE and ADD_SELECTION_FIELD and all is good but I was prompted with error "Invalid value in OPTION field of value table for IN itab operator. operator" when I enter 2 single value.

However, below combinations working good for me and I don't get the above error.

People are answering not for points, just to share the knowledge.
And I think the way of structure is wrong. i think we cannot pass two single values in your way. am not sure about .
low means it will accept single value. for one record in sign structure.
wait for other replys.

Invalid at the top of the document error with fnd output

I am using oracle standard of writing xml to the output directory using fnd_file.put_line(fnd_file.output,'<xxxxxx>'). On a rather random basis I am getting the following error when trying to open the output file. I specified utf8 in the first line of the xml file i produce. The xml is fine but tacks on an invalid character at the end of the file. If I remove the invalid character it can read the xml. The code is definitely not causing this and I can't seem to reproduce it on demand. When I see this happen on the xml outputs I can run a regular text based concurrent program and it too gets the extra invalid character on the end but doesn't affect that type of program.
