Inventory Org Specific Report from a OA Submit concurrent Req Page

Hi,
I have a requirement where i need to add a button via personalization and using destination URI navigate to submit requests from OA Submit Concurrent requests page using some thing like this..
OA.jsp?akRegionCode=FNDCPPROGRAMPAGE&akRegionApplicationId=0&programApplName=EAM&programName=EAMWRREP&programRegion=Hide&scheduleRegion=Hide¬ifyRegion=Hide&printRegion=Hide
The problem is this particular report has parameters which are org specific and the underlying value set has some thing like this..
WHERE ORGANIZATION_ID =
:$PROFILES$.MFG_ORGANIZATION_ID
AND ENTITY_TYPE in ( 6, 7 )
ORDER BY WIP_ENTITY_NAME..
I was getting erros/warnings in the parameters page because of :$PROFILES$.MFG_ORGANIZATION_ID.. I know it works only in forms based interface ($PROFILES$ refers to a block).. I tried changing the value set to use
select fnd_profile.value('MFG_ORGANIZATION_ID') from dual instead of :$PROFILES$.MFG_ORGANIZATION_ID.. Still it is not working.. then i found this bug on the metalink..
============================================
cause: Bug 2679979 In forms, profile MFG_ORGANIZATION_ID is set in database
session when user use 'choose org lov'; however in java, the session
concept is different from forms and it is not possible to save the profile in
the database session and see it through another page(in java middle tier, the
database connection is pooled and database session may be different when
navigating from one page to another page, although user session, which is
maintained in java middle tier is the same). Because of the fundamental
difference of database connection management
in forms and java middle tier, this problem cannot be solved for now.
fix:
This is the intended functionality.
==================================================
I know i can submit this by extending the controller and i can get the profile value from the PageContext.getProfile() .. I just want to find out if there is any other way of achieving this without extending the controller..
Hoping to hear from the experts...
Thanks in Advance,
Shree..

why you can not try with this
select fnd_profile.value('MFG_ORGANIZATION_ID') from dual;
Thanks

  • CALL a report from WDA using SUBMIT to sap-spool

    Hi,
    I need to call a report from one of the methods of a WDA application.
    The out of this report is a sapscript. I want show it in WDA (PDF).
    The report is called when a user clicks EXECUTE button.
    The piece of the code is:
      call function 'GET_PRINT_PARAMETERS'
        exporting
          immediately            = 'X'
          new_list_id            = 'X'
          no_dialog              = 'X'
          receiver               = sy-uname
          release                = 'X'
          sap_cover_page         = 'X'
        importing
          out_archive_parameters = t_arcpar
          out_parameters         = t_pripar
          valid                  = i_valid
        exceptions
          archive_info_not_found = 1
          invalid_print_params   = 2
          invalid_archive_params = 3
          others                 = 4.
          submit hbrcced0
                          with pnppernr-low eq i_pernr
                          with pnpbukrs-low eq t_p0001-bukrs

                          with pnpendda     eq i_endda
                          with p_expot      eq ''
                          with ano          eq v_gjahr
                          with respcc       eq v_sachn
                         to sap-spool
                         spool   parameters t_pripar
                         archive parameters t_arcpar
                         without spool dynpro
                         and return.
        if sy-calld eq ''.
          message 'err' type 'E'.
        else.
    If i execute this code in WDA, the sy-calld never is equal 'X'.
    But if i execute it in program (SE38) the sy-calld is 'X'.
    How i can call the program 'hbrcced0' in WDA ?
    Cheers,
    Silvio Galery

    Hi Silvio,
    a submit REPORT to spool does work from WDA.
    ONLY when "and return" is used.
    You have that, so it should work.
    Note you had print immediate on, so it will be output on printer,
    and not available to read after the call.
    (which option was the keep after print?, I would have to check docu)
    The sy-calld will be set to X  inside the REPORT when it is running.
    After the submit has run back inside WDA it is of course reset to space again.
    Cheers
    Phil.

  • How to update a report  from a form on the same page when form item changes

    I have a portal form from a table and a portal SQL report with a bind variable on a page. I want the report to get updated with details based upon what was selected from a form item. The form item is a selection from a dynamic LOV. Whenever the form item gets changed, the report should get updated to reflect the change. Can this be done using a javascript ONCHANGE event?
    Oracle Portal Version is 10.1.2.2.0.

    Your applet can open an URLConnection and read directly a document from your webserver.
    public String readText() {
      java.net.HttpURLConnection conn = (java.net.HttpURLConnection)myURL.openConnection(); ...
    }So using JavaScript on your page, you might call readText() to fill that textarea.
    The interesting link you gave, handled the JavaScript/Applet interaction. Test that with just return "Hello";.
    The real programming is more interesting.

  • How to copy specific reports from one environment to another?

    I need to release a few answers, prompts and dashboards from one test environment to a production environment. I do want to move just specific things, not the whole RPD and catalog as I do have a lot of reports in testing.
    How that can be easily done?

    Hi,
    I am doing as follows.
    for Answers: Assume you are copying from Dev to Prod.
    1)open the two environments.
    2) in the target environment take any answer and save it as sample1.
    3)From Dev environment open the answer which you want to copy to target environment.
    go to Advanced tab---> copy the xml from the window of Request XML
    4) open the sample 1 report in target environment and go to Advanced tab.
    Paste the copied xml in to Request xml window--->> click on set xml
    5) save it.
    you should be able to see the report in new environment.
    I hope this helps.
    for Dashboard i am using catalog manager as others explained.
    Thanks,

  • How can I navigate to a specific tab from a portlet submit event?

    I have a page with two tabs on it. Each tab contains a region with two portlets, a simple parameter form and an OmniPortlet containing some PL/SQL code for a database query.
    The first tab is used to search by name - users enter a name, click the Submit button and the page parameter is passed to the database query. The Submit event is set up to "Go to page:" and passes the output of the parameter form back into the page when it is redisplayed.
    The second tab has been setup to search by department and has a simple parameter form containing a LOV for departments. However I can find no way to target the second tab in the Submit event for this parameter form.

    I think the unfortunate answer is to create your own Portlet(Java/PL/SQL) to do this. You can then specify the URL for the submit. This will then allow you to set the page parameters that the event is doing for you.
    Another option, don't use tabs. Just create seperate pages with a JavaScript / HTML banner that would mimic the TAB functionality.
    I am a bit disappointed that this does not work out of the box. But, regardless, I will be needing dynamic parameters anyways as static just does not cut it.

  • Calling Report from a Form on the same page

    Hi,
    We have a SEARCH Form and when user inputs search criteria, then we want to call a report on the same page, just below the search button. We tried many things but the report does not show up on the same page, it navigates to next page.
    Please help..
    Thanks
    Kumar.

    I am trying to do a similar thing... I have created a form application component and a Report application component which is called from the search form. This works fine.
    I expose the search form as a component and put it on a portal page. I do the same with the report.
    When I call the page and enter the search params in the form and call the report, the report appears in a separate non-portal window. I would like the report in the same portal page to be run in-line with the new parameters.
    Has anyone done this before?

  • Inventory Module Upgrade from 11i to R12 - How to Copy Inventory Orgs.

    Hi All,
    We are working on R12 Upgrade project for Item Conversion.
    Requirement is to upgrade and bring all the Item setup and data from 11i to R12.
    As part of setup requirement, there are around 1900 Inventory Orgs in 11i instance. Please let me know what is the best approach / strategy to copy and bring over the 1900 Inventory Orgs.including the Master Org from 11i to R12.
    Your inputs will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance !
    Regards,
    Nityanand.

    Reporting Set of Books (MRC) in 11i is called as Alternate Currency Ledgers (ALC Ledger) in R12.
    After 11i upgrade, the reporting SOBs (MRCs) will be automatically changed to ALCs in R12.
    Some are primary and some are used as reportingI hope you are talking about MRCs.
    When we upgrade from 11i to r12, all the SOBs would be created as primary ledgers (as per oracle)If they are not MRCs and it is getting upgraded as primay ledger, you may create new ALC for your requirement.
    In that case you may need a datafix from Oracle to fix the old data.

  • Hierarchy org unit to wad report from MSS

    Hello to all.
    I have a WAD Report that the parameters for it are: Org unit - as the root, and a year/month.
    The report receive an org unit and display data for it and for all org units under it in the Org. structure.
    I start the report from the MSS on portal.
    In R/3 in table T77MWBBWS I created an entry for that report with Reference char. = "ORG_STRU" instead of "0orgunit".
    The report ignores the Org unit that I choose from the MSS selection screen, and starts with the Root Org unit of my Org structure.
    What to do in order to start the report with the Org unit that i select and to get results for all the org. units under it ?
    Thanks, Pazit Atar

    I am also facing same problem.
    I want to know how the org unit which is selected on MSS screen is passed to backend R/3 report (which is using PNP logical db)
    PLEASE HELP.

  • How can I get Inventory Org from the session in POR_CUSTOM_PKG?

    Hi, I want to find what inventory org a user is logged into when they add an item to their cart in iprocurement. Is there anything in the session, client info, profiles, etc. that I can get at from PL/SQL to tell me the inventory org ID?
    Thanks!

    When a person selects an inventory org, the MFG_ORGANIZATION_ID profile gets set. You can use that.
    However, you don't have to select inventory org when adding items to a card in iprocurement. So I am not sure how you can get it definitively.
    Hope this helps

  • Opening a specific Interactive report from a link

    Hello,
    I have a chart which links back to a page with interactive report. I want to make sure that every time user clicks on the link on the chart page, he is shown the default report view. But currently it shows the last viewed report from various saved reports. Is there a way I can call the default report. I tried RIR in clear cache section of the link but does not seem to take me back to default report.
    Any help is highly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Bhavesh

    Have you looked at the actual Javascript that is called when an interactive report is reset? You might be able to use this in a region that is conditionally "displayed" when the page is called from the chart. Perhaps using the REQUEST as the condition.

  • Launching a Discoverer report from jsp page

    Hi
    I have a discoverer workbook created using BI Discoverer (for relational). I want to accept some parameters for this workbook from a jsp page, which will also have a "View report" button. This button when pressed should open up the Discoverer workbook and all the parameters from the jsp should be passed to the workbook.
    Is it possible? If yes, any details on it?
    We do the same thing successfully to launch Oracle Reports from jsps, we simply build the url in the jsp, and from jsp we submit it to a new window, and it opens up the report. Similar functionality we are looking to launch Discoverer reports.
    Any help will be appreciated.
    Thanks
    Shalu

    You can open the workbook with URL parameters with Discoverer Viewer much like you would Oracle Reports. Setting anything form the username, password, workbook name, worksheet, and parameters. All the information can be found in the following document:
    http://download-east.oracle.com/docs/cd/B14099_11/bi.1012/b13918/urlstart.htm
    The specific question your asking is addressed under 13.5.2 Example 2. Let me know if you have any issues

    Hi Sreekanth;
    Change your output type from PDF to HTML. Then it will give you clear error message in HTML page after fixing it if you able to see/run report fine in HTML then change your output type back to PDF.

  • Inventory Closing Balance Report

    Hi gurus,
    I clients want to see Inventory value report as below:
    Item Opening stock Import Qty (Received) Consumed Closing Stock
    Qty. Value Qty. Value Qty. Value Qty. Value
    Received indicates all incoming Qty into Inventory
    Consumed: All outgoing Qty from Sub Inventory/ Org.
    Is there any standard report to extract above data? there are some reports "inventory value report" but not meeting above criteria
    Please advise best report from Oracle apps? and Table?
    Regards
