Invoices paid using wrong payment profile

Hello,
This is on r12.1.3
User has made a mistake.  They have selected few invoices  for payment and inadverantly selected a wrong payment profile (with Payment Type - Electronic).
Whereas, it should have been a different payment profile with (Payment Type - Printed).
Now those checks wont print and payment is applied to invoices.   Is there any data fix where I can point such invoices/payments to the  correct payment profile?

Hi Darsh
As a payment has been generated these invoices will not be selected for payment again under the other payment profile.
The supported method of generating a payment under the other payment profile would be to cancel the payment but not the invoice and then amend the payment type for the new payment profile to select.

When I open the Displays preferences, it looks like it's using a profile from my previous monitor and the Display tab shows the wrong list of resolutions.
    Is there a way to delete this old profile, or at least get the resolution list to display more options? The second monitor works fine when I connect it directly via DVI, but I'd like to keep using it with my old KVM switch if possible. (DVI KVM switches are too expensive!)

    What happens if you click "detect displays"?
    There is a display .plist which you can drag to the desktop and then log out and back in to reset.

  • Vendor Invoice paid - even though Payment Block set to "A"

    Hello,
    I have encountered the following situation:
    Late Nov 2010 - invoice created for a vendor
    Early Dec 2010 - payment block on line items in accounting document set to "A" in t-code FB02
    Late Dec 2010 - payment was made to the vendor, even though payment block of "A" set on the document
    How can payment to a vendor be made on this document if the payment block is set to "A"?  Can this be over-ridden manually by the user?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Used wrong payment method when paying with PayPal account!

    Hello, Okay so I bought tickets on StubHub and when it asked me how I would like to pay, I checked my PayPal account. But it never said which payment method from PayPal it would charge. I have my PayPal Credit as my default payment method so I assumed it would have been my PayPal Credit account that gets charged. But now I see that a hugh amount was debited out of my bank. I wanted to use my PayPal Credit account to pay because it's such a hugh amount. My question is; can I transfer the payment to my PayPal Credit account and get the money credited back to my bank account? I would like to pay incrementally and I can't afford to give up such a hugh amount all at once. I'm afraid I'll have to cancel the payment if I can't do that. Please help!!! Thanks!

  • Invoice Paid to INcorrect PO - Best way to correct

    Situation - 2 PO's for same Vendor. Invoice Paid to Wrong PO
    Is there any other way to correct an Invoice Paid to the wrong PO besides issueing a Credit Memo and Invoice at the same time (e.g., so a Payment does not go out the door).  Also, caution must be followed to ensure both payment methods are the same for both the Credit Memo and Invoice.

    I guess you receive different invoices for both the POs. The process of raising a credit memo is the best way to solve this issue. Did you think about cancelling the Invoice document in MR8M if it is feasible,  here this will affect your stock accounts based upon the current stock position for the said Invoice/PO quanity.
    One more additional check you can have is to use to activate the check box "check doubel invoice"  below Tolerance Group  in the Vendor payment Transactions Accounting view of vendor master. This will help you to restrict the entry of wrong PO attached to the invoice if you have already processed the Invoice (provided you are using the reference field in MIRO by entering the INVOICE number of the PO).

    This clearing is not possible while making cash receipt in FBCJ. So you will have to do clearing separately through TCode: F-32.

  • Wrong Payment term in the Invoice

    We have a problem with one of the vendor Invoice creation. We are getting wrong payment term in the Invoice.
    We have payment term A in the vendor master both company code and Purchasing Org. We have the same payment term A in Purchase order and Contract.
    But when we create invoice using MIRO for the PO we are getting Payment term B. This is happening for only one vendor.
    We know that it can be corrected at the financial document level but want to know how this payment term B is pulled up from cause i checked all the options but nowhere to find from where it is coming.

    Check the following:
    In MIRO, if you use PO reference to create the IV document,terms of payment will not get copied from vendor master, the terms of
    payment will come from the PO.(if you have the invoice entered without reference to the PO, then the terms of payment are copied from vendor.)
    So when you change the the invoice party in MIRO, new payment terms will not get copied from vendor master, they will come from the PO.
    Please review SAP Note 322430 MIRO: Proposal logic for terms of payment Payment terms are only adopted from the vendor master record Without reference to purchase order
    You enter an invoice without purchase order reference by adding a G/L account line or material line as a first item. If the terms
    of payment key does not contain any value, this is copied from the accounting view of the vendor master record.

    You had purchased CC on 01/24/14 which was cancelled & then you again purchased CC 9/7/14, the error message that you are recieving is due to the cancellation as the server is trying to remind you, please log out & log back in of the CC desktop app to activate the new cc . The issue should be resolved.
    You have 20 GB of space allocated indicating you have active CC.

  • Inconsistent interface cause unintentional use of wrong payment method with worthless CS

    I don't forsee anything coming from this, but I will put my experiences on here. I use Paypal quite a bit, and I use the same sites a lot.  I have credit cards, and I usually want to pay by credit cards.  But because I also have bank accounts attached, Paypal forces me to use a bank account as default payment source and credit card as backup.  Because of this, everytime I buy something, I have to change payment sources. Over the years, I got used to the interface where you first enter username and password, and then it shows you how much you're paying, and what payment method you're using, and a button to actually buy it.  Since last year or so, on some sites I would see a different interface where you enter a password and it immediately charges the default payment method.  Because I got used to entering username and password and then reviewing payment information, I accidentally used my default method multiple times, but on relatively small things. What really got me though, was a recent transaction that I made for a website that charged a different currency.  Because the website switched to the one-page checkout, I entered password and it instantly used my bank.  I tried to close the page but the transaction already went through.  I looked at the paypal transaction and the exchange rate paypal was giving was 3% off market rate and I lose out on 1.5% rewards, costing me about $10.  I called Paypal customer service, but it was not open at the time.  I called the next morning, and the guy said that because the transaction went through, I would have to contact the merchant.  I asked him if there were other ways, and he said I could do a stop payment at the bank, which would cost more money than it was worth.  I asked to talk to a manager, and the manager said that he could do nothing.  I then told him that the unintuitive interface was costing me money and he squarely blamed me for the mistake and did not want to acknowledge that there could be anything bad about the UI setup, and did not provide any help.  The manager blaming me for a mistake caused by inconsistent experience is what finally made it obvious that Paypal is fine with playing dirty and tricking customers.  I called a different department and asked if the interface could be disabled for my account so that I can have a consistent experience, and it was declined.  I then checked what causes the different interface, and noticed that it only happens if you have already paid on the website before and it remembers you.  I contacted the merchant, but on the next business day when they got back to me, they said they could not because they already shipped the stuff, which is pretty much what I expected. From the fact that Paypal stands to make much more from a bank transaction than from a credit card transaction (2.x% vs 0.x%) and what I have experienced, I have lost trust in Paypal and I believe that Paypal is using sneaky tactics to trick customers into using bank payments, costing people card rewards and hoping that that people do not notice.  With my customer service experience, it is obvious that Paypal does not care about customers enough to go beyond what all the other payment services provide with customer service. Luckily for me, even though I am out of luck on the transaction that already happened, I noticed that I could just remove all of my bank accounts and it will force the default to be a credit card.  With that, the one-page payment actually will work well if my default is what I want.  Once I can remove the bank account used for my latest transaction, I will hopefully be able to set my default to the credit card I want to use.  If it has some odd rules about selecting defaults, I might just have to reduce my wallet to a single credit card, at which point I will probably slowly migrate off of Paypal.

    I have a requirement to set weekly limits on amounts paid using the manual and authomatic payment programme. The organisation issues payments through one bank account with same payment method for manual and authomatic payments and would like to set a limit per week. This means that no further payments will be allowed when the set limit is reached - ie when payments issued for a particular week exceed for example u20AC500,000 no more payments will be allowed. The limit can be revised by the authorisaed person.
    t-code S_ALR_87001486 lets you set the limit for the authomatic payment programme but I think does not let you set the limit for a period of time say a week.
    Can you please tell me if this is possible to do or if it would require development and how to approach this. Your feedback is appeciated.

    You probably have to code an exit in the program SAPF110 and create a custom table to store weekly amounts used for payments.

  • Issue with Idoc when creating invoice taking wrong payment term

    My Requirement is invoices created through B2B interface should hold the payment term of purchasing party instead of invoicing party
    400021 is Invoicing party having payment term 2000 i.e. 20 days
    414478 is the Purchasing party having the payment term 1000 ie 10 days
    So invoice should hold the payment term 10 days instead of 20 days
    I have an IDOC which is creating Invoice, I am trying to reprocess the IDOC to see the issue but could not able to achieve the solution.
    Please help me out which approach should i follow to achieve the solution of this issue.

    Hi,
    Try using E1EDK18 segment. Put "Number of days" ,Qualifier and check if this achievs the desired result or not? If yes then you have to use an user exit to put the number of days in the IDOC.

  • Wrong payment term during invoice creation

    Hi All,
    when i created sales order with one line item then it is creating two entries in VBKD table with POSNR = '0000' with payment term ZTERM = 'ZI15'  and POSNR = '1000'  with payment term ZTERM = 'Z223',  but problem is that when going to create Invoice it is picking wrong payment terms Z223 while it shud be ZI15. can anyone please help me to know why it is creating 2 entries in VBKD and why it is taking wrong invoice during Invoice creation.

    Please review SAP note 38934 which may help to explain this issue.
    If you do not have VBKD data for a particular line item, it is the same
    as the header (vbkd-posnr = 000000). This is standard behaviour.
    so if you have a vbkd line item, that simply means some part of the business data is different to the header
    and that's why the line item for VBKD was created (in this case a different payment terms has been entered for the line item)
    For the second part of the issue, please start at trx VTFA and check the copy control (especially at line item level).

    Please help me with the query which would list all the standard invoices applied against pre-payment invoices.
    Additionally they query show display the pre-payment invoices which are not yet applied.
    Example :
    Rec # Pre-payment inv # Inv-amount Standard Inv No. Amount Applied
    1 P001 100.00 S001 100.00
    2. P002 200.00 NULL NULL
    In the above example in record no. 1 for the pre payment invoice number P001 a standard invoice S001 is applied with same amount of 100.
    In the second record the pre payment invoice P002 is not yet applied and hence standard invoice number and amount applied are NULL.
    I need the output of the query in the above format.
    Please help me in this regard.

                Clearing document (AUGBL) generated against invoice with document type AB will be an option to use for reporting purpose. No matter invoice is partially cleared or fully exhausted system generates a clearing document against it. It stores the payment usage. System should check in BSID table with reference to AUGBL if there is anything left against invoice that is to be paid or if it is fully exhausted it will be present it BSAD along with it payment usage data. I hope this will help you in developing your report.

  • Seperate GL account for rentention amount using Instalment payment?

    We have an interesting issue, our client is having a requirement regarding installment payment. Please find below the scenario. We hope to get some ideas in this regard.
    We are using payment term with settings for installment payment.
    Example: Payment term Y001 – Installment payment, Y002 – Installment payment 90% and Y003 – Installment payment 10%.
    Invoice Amount : 1000
    90 % outstanding for immediate payment : 900 (to be accounted in Vendor reconciliation account)
    10% retention till tax certificate produced : 100 (to be accounted under separate retention GL account)
    While posting invoice through MIRO & FB60, our client wants to split the amount in to two parts  90% outstanding to the Vendors and retain 10% of the invoice value till the tax returns certificate is produced. Presently Amount splitting is made to take care of this using a payment block in payment term Y003. This helps in retaining 10% of the amount till the tax paid certificate is produced.
    Postings are happening with the split amount, to the reconciliation account maintained for the Vendors. This is presently showing the total payables towards vendors. But for statutory reporting purpose, we now need to maintain a separate GL account for the retention amount. This is again required to be a Vendor reconciliation account for control over outstanding amounts with respect to respective vendors.
    We are exploring different alternatives to get this done. Please advice if you have come across any such scenario.

    I understand when you use your Installment payment term, system must be posting two lines for vendor i guess must be like;
    Expense                      Dr.   1000
         Vendor                                     Cr. 900
         Vendor                                     Cr. 100
    Ok eventually both 900 and 100 goes to the same GL (Reconciliation)Account but your client wants that the 100 should goes to other GL accounts.
    One of our collegue in this forun has answered you to use Special Gl Indicator, the solution upto some extent ok but i guess you will loose the automation of amount splitting which 900 and 100.
    So i would advice you the following;
    Create one Retention Reconciliation Account
    Configure Alternative/Reconcilation Account in the IMG ( This config allows you to change reconciliation account while posting invoice )
    So at time when you simulate your accounting entry double click on 100 line and manually enter the retention GL Account. I guess the solution is manual and painfull but if special gl indicator can be used with automation then you must go with that
