IOS 6.0 simulator error / Flex+AIR 3.5

I am not able to run a Flex/AIR program on the IOS 6.0 simulator. I searched all forums. I am new to using IOS simulator. Any help is appreciated.
I am using Flex 4.6 and AIR 3.5, with target swf version 18. A simple Flex app (WindowedApplication with a Label in it) crashes at initialization in IOS simulator.

Update: the problem was resolved by changing WindowedApplication to Application.
Is WindowedApplication not allowed for IOS/mobile ? I couldn't find any doc on this.

Flex AIR iOS application with rtmps

Hi,
If I am accessing flex AIR application from Mac or iOS (iPad) using secure rtmp then it gives me error. It is not able to connect to the server. I have a self signed certificate generated using java keytool. I have configured it on tomcat and it works for the ssl in browser with https://localhost:8080, but fails when using rtmps from flex application especially in Mac and iPad. It works in Android tablet and windows machine though.
Here is the configuration in I gave in the server for ssl.

Did you get anywhere with this, I'm having a similar issue?
I have an Air app that works fine using rtmp in iOS but not rtmps (it works fine in Android for both). The release notes for 3.1 (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/923/cpsid_92350.html) suggest there was a problem for rtmps on iOS, but I'm using the latest 3.1 SDK version.
I'm suspecting an SSL certificate issue as in Android I get prompted as to whether I trust the certificate, but not on the iPhone. I have installed the certificate manually but to no avail.

Error loading/installing iOS 5.0 Simulator in XCode 4.4.1

I'm new to iOS and Apple.
Just got XCode installed, but when I try to dowload/install iOS 5.0 Simulator using the 'Download' tab of XCode preferences, I get the following error consistently:

I tried all of yours (logged in as a newer user, ran disk utility and everything was ok, and I have over 300GB free space on the SDD drive) but still have exactly the same problem!
Anyone else has any other ideas on how to solve this problem, PLEASE?

in some blog it is saying that we need to get connected to

Failure installing iOS 8.3, causing Error 56

When trying to install iOS 8.3 on my iPad Air 2, I get the message that I need to plug into iTunes. When plugged into iTunes it fails to restore with the message "An unknown error has occurred (56). Any suggestions?

I have the same problem w/ my iPhone 6 128GB. Error installing the update. iPhone is locked in recovery mode and unable to update or restore. Keeps giving me the unknown error 56 message. I've read that people can take out their SIM cards and put the phone in recovery mode. Then try restoring again. I've had no luck w/ this even when trying to downgrade back to iOS 8.2. Reading all the forums, sounds like only option left is to replace it. Taking it in to my Sprint store today since I don't have an Apple Store nearby

I renamed my project and can not create release build.

also, when I close flex builder then try to reopen it, my
default workspace is busy..
oops.. I had messed with the default install folder and had
dropped in a C:\Program Files\... which it should only be a sub as
air defaults already to C:\Program Files\<filename> or on mac
\Applications\<filename>.app
<installFolder>subfolder/subsubfolder</installFolder>

It's not uncommong while editing your app.xml file... that one can leave stray < or >. Check to make sure the file is valid and that any included references (like icons) aren't missing or in the wrong location.

Application error running air app

My air app is a sildeshow viewer which sends request to the
server and represents the response data using chart component.
I encounter a very tricky problem that when this app runs for
hours it will get a application error, as air dismiss all the
exception while running, I can not get the stacktrace. I tried
debug this app in flex builder, but still got a application error
from air debug launcher without exception stacktrace. That mean adl
crashed while I run my app.
The difficulty is that this error does not always occur. It
happens usually once a week while running , so I can not get the
location of the error generated.
The application error is kind of "memory could not be
written", so did anyone ever face this problem? And is there any
suggestion for me? I want to know what kind of exception could
crash adl.

This kind of error is bug. If you can capture a crash report
of some kind (use a web search to find out how to do that for your
OS) and file it as a bug, that'd be great.
That said, a common cause with applications that run for a
long time and use lots of data is that they run out of memory. You
might check your memory use; if it increases without bound, that's
a sign that your application is leaking.

How to install iOS 7.0 Simulator in xcode 6.0.1

I go to preference and download the simulator 7.0,then i got this error Could not download and install iOS 7.0 Simulator. Error signing AIR applicaiton

I recently purchased a code signing certificate from Thawte.
The cert was imported into Firefox, and then exported as a P12
file, with a password.
In flex builder, I tried to export my project and selected
the certificate and typed the password, but then I get this error:

A time stamp is a validated date and time from a remote time
server. AIR requests this time stamp whenever you sign an AIR
application. This time stamp is protected from alteration with a
separate digital signature of its own. It looks like Flex
Builder/ADT couldn't verify the signature associated with the time
stamp on your system. Do you use a proxy server for your internet
connection? If so, you may need to configure your Java runtime
environment proxy settings. Otherwise, it could be an issue with
the way root certificates are trusted on your machine -- although
the default time stamp server is operated by Verisign, I believe,
so it's certificate should already be trusted.

HTTPService problem (ioerror #2032) in flex AIR application

Hi all,
I am using flex 4.5 Hero Sdk. Flex Builder plugin. Win7x64. Adobe Air 2.5.
I have a flex air project which contains 3 library projects included.
The project uses one of the included libraries for managing HttpService calls to a Tomcat server.
When I use "merge into code" option for building all projects there is no problem. I can both run in Adl and installed application (exe). HttpService calls works fine in both Adl and Air 2.5 runtime.
When I use Rsl option for building all projects I can run-debug in Adl However when I run the installed version (I mean this time running the application not with adl, but with Flex Air 2.5.x version installed in win7x64) this time HttpService calls to the server gives ioerror (Error#2032).
Some information I discovered (may not be related to the problem I stated above)
When using rsl option, "use local RSLs when debugging" option makes the difference. If this option is false, Adl cannot run the application.
I tried -use-network=true compiler option, but not sure if I did everything right while trying.
Shortly I think I need some knowledge for working with RSLs. So, can anybody help me?

I'm having terrible difficulty with writing Air Applications for compiling with the flex 3.2 SDK.
I have two identical basic flex air applications, but one will not compile, the other will.
When I try to run the application from flex builder the first app runs fine while the second one doesn't.
any ideas?

I'd suggest looking at the regular Flex forums or flexcoders and posting more details as to the error you're seeing. Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine.
