IOS8 problem

My iPad was functioning normally, but from last 10-12day its restating 4-5 times in a day while using it. This problem started after upgrade iOS7 to iOS8.

Try some basic troubleshooting:
(A) Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
(B) Try reset all settings
Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings
(C) Setup as new (data will be lost if you do not have backup)
Settings>General>Reset>Erase all content and settings

We are all users, like yourself, here.
No one here knows when Apple is going to release another iOS 8.x update.
Many owners of iPad 2 or 3 models are hoping much sooner than later.

I had the same issue with my battery but figured out what was causing it. I had an email account - an exchange account - that was stuck in a "loading" status for the "Auto Reply." I uninstalled the account and reinstalled and now my battery is back to it's old self.

I'd still prefer to keep separate user accounts. I never had any issues like this before. The only time I started having a problem was when I was just trying to force empty the trash a few months ago. I came on here looking for a solution and someone posted a way to empty the trash using the terminal. Before then, I hadn't used the terminal for anything--it was just another app in my utilities folder. (None of this has anything to do with having separate user accounts. Plenty of people with kids make second and third user accounts on their laptops so that multiple people can use one laptop, having more than one user on a laptop is not very difficult.) But thank you, I'll try that out and see if it works!

Stocks app in iOS8 problem

Had iPhone 4s and had number of companies listed on the stocks app that is one of the built in apps. Just upgraded to iphone 6 with ios8 and the stocks app cannot find some of those same companies. My wife's 5s now running ios8 also exhibits same problem

So it seems that even though the companies that were not showing up were UK companies, changing the phone language from English (UK) to English solved the problem! Seems strange, but true!

PHOTO SORTING AFTER IOS8 - PROBLEM SOLVED

Like everyone else, after IOS8 Event sorting on both my iPhone & iPad were all mucked up... I couldn't find anything! I happened upon a "fix" in the Apple store that has saved me hours and hours of using an alternative photo organizer. It's so simple and sorts my events (with the pictures I already have downloaded on each device). The program is SMART PHOTO ORGANIZER by Backpackr. No, I don't work for Apple or the software developer, but just wanted to share a solution that's cheap and works GREAT for me!!!

IOS8 Problems

I downloaded iOS8 on my iPad 2. Now it shows a connection for me to hook up to iTunes. When hooking up to restore service I get the following error message: “The iPad could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1).”

That often indicates a hardware failure.
Try the restore again from another computer if possible. If it continues to fail with that error, make an appointment at the genius bar.

yes the bluetooth in wireless toolkit is only emulated...
i don't know if my handset support jsr82...i try to find some information on internet but no answer...
whit netbeans, i start new project midlet...write code with bluetooth class (javax.bluetooth.*) and all compile correctly, no external library required, i think in wireless toolkit there are some jsr82 implementation class...but if i copy my jar ( and jad) on a phone...i try a lg mobile...i see "no class def found error" that happende if import class from javax.bluetooth...how can i undestand where/why jme phone support bluetooth???

IPad 2 and iPad Mini Slow and Buggy after iOS8 "Fix"

After living with an EXCEPTIONALLY slow and buggy iPad Mini (1st gen, still available from Apple Store, BTW) since iOS8 was released, I discovered something...
Deleting the Facebook App and the Facebook Messenger App - AND THEN REBOOTING THE iPAD - makes a DRAMATIC difference in performance of the entire iPad...
Once deleted and rebooted, you'll be able to:
1. Cut, copy and paste work again
2. Say goodbye to those long periods waiting for apps to load, crash and reload
3. Run faster and much more reliably
I have NO idea why FB and iOS 8 on older devices is a problem at the system level, but I have found that it DEFINITELY is. All it takes is running FB once on a freshly booted iPad and the problems begin.
I deleted those after trying every fix every person on the discussion board suggested (settings, resetting networks, etc) and it's been several days of an iPad running the way it did under iOS7.
SO...don't shoot the messenger. While this isn't a permanent 'fix', it DOES fix the iPad/iOS8 problems except for the fact that you'll need to use FB from Safari or a browser until they sort it out.
Again, these are my findings. I'd love to see if others experience the same thing... If this doesn't work for you, you can always reinstall FB.

I too am having a similar issue though most of it is with browsing on Safari. That is the load speed of pages became 1990s dailup slow. I believe it has to do with memory, or lack thereof. Something in iOS8 is chugging the system and slowing everything down. I don't know of any solutions. Very frustrating.

Single App & iOS 8

I have built few months ago two single edition apps for app viewer V26.
I have read about the necessity to update multi-folios applications on the latest version but I am not sure it also concerns single editions apps.
Can someone tell me if I also need to re-build my apps on the latest version if I want iOS 8 users to be able to use it please ?
Moreover, I would like to know if I update my apps to the latest version, will iOS 7-6 users be able to use my new app built with latest version or does iOS 8 users only will be able to use it ?

Apps keep "waiting..." if bought on other device

To add another iOS8 problem to the community: if I buy an app on a device, on other devices they are on the springboard but are "waiting..." forever. I bought an app in iTunes on my Mac, that app is on both iPad and iPhone not usable until removed and redownloaded on that device. Why?! It is so annoying.
In iTunes settings on all devices "automatic downloads" is on for Apps, but no for Updates.
Anybody got a solution for this, it's quite annoying.

Since the apps were purchased for iPad you wouldn't be able to see it under the iPhone format, so you would have to purchase the iPhone version of Pages and Numbers, same thing with your computer. There are 3 different versions (with 3 different prices) of these applications.

screen goes black or black with white apple. Device will not function until I remove the screen. I do this through multi-tasking.

Hard Reset, Hold down your home and power buttons until the screen goes blank then release when you see the apple logo.
Failing that. Plug into iTunes and restore.

Problems with multiple itunes accounts since ios8

Since iOS8 I am having real problems getting my content from multiple iTunes accounts to work. I used to be able to switch between accounts (US and Japanese stores) and download stuff, and play it all fine, but since iOS8 I get the message 'This device is already associated with an Apple ID'. So, I thought I'd transfer everything to iTunes and then sync it back to the phone, which seemed to transfer the content, but when I try and play a song belonging to the account I'm not logged in as it shows the play screen and then jumps back to the play list.
This is very frustrating for those of us who straddle countries and want to be able to access content from both!
Is there any workaround for this?

Well, I usually think of an 'iTunes account' as being an account at the iTunes Store... I take it you have different iTunes collections with separate library files for each of you.
It sounds like you have different user accounts on the computer. Figuring out what is going on will require us knowing a lot more about how you have your iTunes libraries set up. Do you also have a shared area or do you keep totally separate accounts? Are you positive you were't really in his account when this was happening?

It is locked to your sisters carrier.
She would have to ask her carrier if they unlock iPhones and if she qualifies for this service.

When is Apple going to fix the problems with IOS8 Safari either won't work or is very slow.why can't you contact Apple themselves rather than this method?

Try some basic troubleshooting steps. Clear Safari, force close the app and reset the iPad.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data.
In order to close apps in iOS 8, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
