IP4 Retail Store Orders Fulfillment Times?

Greetings Planet iPhone4 People...
I see some good threads on "Apple Orders" with ship date gyrations but I see no good data on how long folks are waiting for order placed at Apple retail stores- where you get the magical email saying come get your iPhone. (if I have missed it point me in the right direction with my thanks!)
I realize that Maine is the end of the shipping universe but I placed and order at the tiny Apple store here on July 2, 2010. For the sake of the AT&T vs Apple-On-Line vs Apple retail delivery performance- what are retail order folks experiencing?
With all the sophisticated customer service system Apple has it's strange that they can not give an ETD from their "not in time" supply chain. Nice to sell it before you make it! Can't wait to death grip mine- love the product- BL

Well just to close my own tread- I got "the email" on my retail store order of 7/2 yesterday 7/22- 20 days- one day ahead of the "3 weeks" on-line shipping schedule. The end...

  • SAP retail store order configuration

    Hi,
Could anyone please suggest SAP retail store configuration and master data setting in IS retail system for store order follow on documents creation scenario where "Ware house order is created only if stock exists in DC else third party order".
Thanks in advance for your valuable inputs.

    Hi Mohan,
Thanks for the useful link you shared.
But I am looking for specific configuration and master data set up required for store order creation scenario where " Warehouse stock is created if stock exists else third party order is created"
This option is activated in POS interface inbound profile for store order control by selecting document categorydefault as "A - Warehouse order if stock exists, otherwise third-party order"
Just wanted to understand how this option works by requiring what kind of configuration and master data settings.
Any further suggestions will be really helpful.

  • How to show logic of picking multiple stores to fulfill an order line item

I'm still learning some basics with OPA.
How do I represent the logic of picking multiple stores to fulfill an order line item when no one store has the requested quantity? A concrete example would be greatly appreciated as I'm still thinking procedurally for solutions.

    Hi!
I believe this is following on from the thread:
Calculating least cost of a product across stores using OPA
So I'm assuming we're using a similar data model.
If we want to involve quantity as well as cheapest price, then I'm assuming the requirement is:
Find the cheapest price for the product from all the stores which still have quantity left of that product.
This is where inferred relationships come in handy.
Here is an example of what you can do with them to help solve this requirement.
the store is a member of the product's stores if
    .ExistsScope(the store's prices)
..the price's product name = the product name
the store is a member of the product's stores with remaining stock if
.the store is a member of the product's stores and
    ..ExistsScope(the store's quantities)
...the quantity's product name = the product name and
    ...the quantity's amount > 0
Then we basically want to pick the cheapest price for the product from the members of the relationship "the product's stores with remaining stock"
Note that "the product's stores with remaining stock" could obviously be many instances, all with different prices. But for an order, a product needs to come from only one place! The deciding factor to "pinpoint" one place from this potential list of many could be based on anything, such as location, sales ranking, etc. But in this case Im going to assume lowest price is the decider.
In the previous post we created a simple relationship between "the product" and "the prices" (which are contained by the store).
We can make a more powerful relationship now:
the price is a member of the product's available prices if
ForScope(the price's store, the main store)
.the main store is a member of the product's stores with remaining stock
(I'm using an alias here to be 100% sure of which store is in scope)
Now we can use the rules in the previous post, but change the relationship to the more advanced one we just created:
the product's cheapest available price = InstanceMin(the product's available prices, the price's amount)
    Then
the product's cheapest available store name = InstanceValueIf(the product's available prices, the price's store name, the price's amount = the product's cheapest available price)
This is all psuedo code so many need some slight tweaks when you put it into OPM. Make sure you set up the relationships in a property file and declare all the attributes etc.
Inferred relationships are really useful as "filters" sometimes. Here we first filtered all the stores which have prices for the product (i.e. have it in their catalogue). Then we filtered to get a list of all the stores which have stock remaining for the product. From that, we could find the cheapest available price.
This is by no means the only way to do it! It's also by no means a simple problem but the great thing about OPA is that you can put all of the relationship config rules in the system rule folder / word doc, meaning that the source / business rules can still look relatively simple (in the end, it only took 2 lines of source rules to find the cheapest available price!). Once you've got the right set up and invested time in designing your data model, you will find it much easier to solve seemingly complex problems across entities.
One word of warning though: if you have thousands of instances of prices, stores, products etc. then there is a performance impact of using many inferred relationships and alternatives should also be considered.
    Hope this helps!
Feel free to contact me for more help on this. If you are relatively new to OPA and trying to tackle this you should consider investing in some training.
    Cheers,
    Ben

  • SAP Retail Store - Store Order - Assortment List

    G'day,
In the SAP Retail Store (SRS) when selecting the "Store Order" "Assortment List" option I've got a request to add columns to the assortment list ( I've done this via Badi IF_EX_WSAO_DISP_EXPAND ).
The challenge now is to make fields within the added columns available for user input. (Currently the fields is only displayed).
Example: I've added columns X, Y and Z in the assortment list.
There are twenty lines in the assortment list and for each line the field in column Y must except input from the user. When the Post Order button is pushed a ME22 transaction must be submitted for each item in the assortment list.
I've copied the internet service for WSTA to ZWSTA but don't have sufficient HTML knowledge to change the HTML page to achieve the above.
Can you please help with a solution.
    Thanks, points will be awarded.

  • I am trying to make a one to one reservation at a closer Apple store in Denver but each time I put my password in it kicks me over to the retail store where I purchased the one to one service. How can I avoid this?

I am trying to make a one to one reservation with my new MacBook Air at a retail store of my choosing but each time I put in my password it kicks me over to the Apple store where I purchased the one to one service. How can I avoid this and reserve at the store of my choice?

I would try the 'old fashioned way, the telephone.
    Ciao.

  • Faster to pre order or wait and purchase at retail store?

I'm just curious to know if anyone has any experience or knows in general whether it's faster to pre order a product or to wait until it arrives in the Apple store. I'm finally upgrading my iPod touch, and can't wait to get my hands on the 4th generation. Thanks for any information.

I would say purchase at the retail store. The apple website says that it takes a week to ship out (probably from September 1st) because that's when they're officially released to the public. So what that means, is that in a week it will actually start to ship to your house which will take probably around 4 days depending on where you live. However if you buy it in stores (when it's released next week from september 1st), you can just buy it then and not wait 4 days for it to ship to your house.

  • I bought my software pack iWork 2008 at the apple retail store and I cannot get any updates and apple App Store won't help me.   Does any one know how I can get the upgrade without paying full price for a second time? I paid $99 for the iWork family pcan'

I cannot believe that apple is refusing to help a customer who bought and paid for iWork software just because I bought it from the retail store the App Store says they cannot allow me to upgrade.  I have never heard of such.  It should to matter where I got it i bought apples software and I don't et how the retail store can be different frothe App Store my god its all still apple.  So stupid.  I will not pay full price for the upgrade.   Also I purchased Logic Studio and 2 days later the upgrade came out and they will not let u upgrade ?  I think there should be at Least a 30-45 day window if u purchase software and they release the upgrade u should get not.    It's not like apple doesn't make enough money already.

iWork '08 & 09 installed from the retail disk or from the downloaded trial must be updated through Software Update. Those installations will not be recognized as installed by the Mac App Store. In Mountain Lion Software Update has been "rolled into" the Mac App Store. Choose Software Update from the Apple menu just like you always have & the Mac App Store will launch. Depending on what you have that needs updating you may see two sections in the MAS window.
But, as always, if you're not running the latest versions of the iWork apps installed from a retail box or the downloaded trial & Software Update says your software is up to date, make sure the applications are where the installer initially put them. The updaters are very picky. If the location is not where the updater is programmed to look or if the folder doesn't have the name the updater looks for, it will not work. The applications cannot be renamed or moved. If you installed from the downloaded trial or the retail box, they must be in the iWork '08 folder in Applications. That iWork folder must be named iWork '08. If it doesn't have the '08 Software Update won't find them & the updaters won't work.
If you are running Pages 3.0.3, then you do have the latest version of Pages from iWork '08. If you want to upgrade to iWork '09, you will need to purchase the new version, just like everyone else. The good news is that you can buy just the individual iWork apps - Keynote, Pages & Numbers - that you need or want for $20 US each from the Mac App Store & then install them on as many Macs as you need using the same Apple ID.

  • Verizon Retail Store Isn't Much Of A "Retail" Store

I've been a customer of Verizon for several years and very happy with their service.  As a result of my long standing relationship with them, the router that I had been using was very old.  I wanted to upgrade my router so I could enjoy faster internet access.  I also have a charity event coming up this Saturday that was going to be hosting at my house.  It would require a strong internet connection because some of us are streaming to Twitch and using video conferencing to connect to our other team members in remote locations.
Therefore, I wanted to purchase the latest Verizon Quantum router (which supports IEEE 802.11ac).  I thought maybe if I visited the Verizon Retail Store in Columbia, MD that they could sell it to me and I could walk out the door with it, so I could be ready for my event this weekend.  I even went online and talked to a sales associate over chat if this was possible and they confirmed it.
When I arrived at the store today at about 12:30pm, the sales associate told me that I would need to purchase the router over the phone because she couldn't sell it to me directly.  I impressed on her that I needed to "walk out with the router today" because of my charity event and she said that would be fine as long as the order was placed by phone.  So she got me contact with a customer service representative and we placed the order.  I also made sure to tell the rep on the phone, as we were finalizing the order, that I would need it to be fulfilled at the retail store I was currently at.  She also said that it would be fine.
Well it turns out that it wasn't fine.  The order was placed "Ship to Home" despite my best efforts.  As a result, the Sales Associate at the retail store told me that she wasn't authorized to give me a Quantum Router (which they had in stock at the time) because the router that I ordered was being shipped.  We even went as far as talking to a retension associate and technical support staff member over the phone to see if we could get the order changed.  Unfortunately, that proved futile.
Instead, she exchanged my older router for an advanced "N" and told me that I could exchange that model back once the new Quantium router came in.  She also couldn't give me the tracking number for my order and instructed me to call customer service in a few hours.  When I called them later this evening, I found out that the order was not shipped out today and probably wouldn't arrive until Monday (and I still couldn't get my tracking mumber from her).
I'm not mad at the customer service and sales representatives that I talked to today.  I truly believe they were doing everything in their power to help me.  The problem is that they didn't HAVE the power to help me.  The systems in place made their jobs DIFFICULT and FAILED to satisfy my needs.  It shouldn't be this hard to walk into a FiOS RETAIL store and make a hardware purchase.
I had another problem with Verzion FiOS Internet when I first moved into my new house last summer.  They told me that in order to move my service to my new residence that I would need to sign up for a new bundle program.  They would even upgrade my router when I did this.  After completing the order, several days passed and I hadn't received anything.  I had to fight with the customer service support staff to get my service restored using my old equipment.  To make matters worse, I never did receive my new router.
Again, I don't think that anyone I had talked to was trying to make my life difficult.  However, I do think the systems in place have made things very difficult and reflected poorly on Verizon's high recommended customer support record.  I really hope that my next interaction with Verizon sales goes better, assuming there will be next time.  I also hope my router gets here before Saturday....

It can make a difference.  Your internet speed is only as fast as your slowest point of connection, which could have been the router.  After I replaced it, I did see a strong improvement.  Granted I did upgrade speeds as well to 75/75, but I don't think I could have enjoyed its full capability had I not changed the router.
Fortunately, the router did arrive in time.  I got it Thursday evening, much to my surprise.  I didn't expect it to be that quick.  I installed that evening and I was doing 76 down/91 up in no time, according to SpeedTest.net (WiFi was similar speeds too, thanks to the new 802.11ac format).  That Saturday, the charity went off without a hitch.  I had 3 ppl streaming to Twitch in my house (one of which was wireless) and GoToMeeting running all day and nobody had an connectivity issues.
I'm very glad that my router arrived in time, but still a little irritated that I couldn't buy it that day.  But I guess alls well that ends well.  Thank you for getting it to me so quickly Verizon.

  • I was wondering if it was truly the policy of your retail stores to not tell customers whether they have a product in stock or not over the phone?

I . like everyone else, have been in search of an iphone6 and i d rather not order it online, my nearest verizon store is a couple of miles away and i don't drive, Every time i call they tell me they "cant discuss inventory over the phone". All i need to know is whether they have them in stock or not.so Im not making another wasted trip out of my way on foot to be told they don't. I've been into the store 4 of the past 6 days and they always just tell me to "come back tomorrow" , staunchly refusing to give me any information over the phone..
My contract has been up for a while but i wanted to wait it out until the new iphones came out and renew it with verizon but at the moment your retail stores cant even manage to give me enough Customer Service to even let me know if what i want is available at their store .

    Sandy,
I understand that the new iphones are selling quickly and if they were to tell me over the phone that they in fact had them, it is no guarantee that they will still be there an hour later. However every time I've gone in they've been completely out , and if they were to tell me this over the phone it would save me the hour it takes me to get there on foot. Ive called other stores and theyve had no problem telling me exactly what they have in stock, as well as your own customer service reps telling me that this in fact is not corporate policy. Ive explained all of this to the store as politely as possible the only options theyve given me are to physically come into the store to check or to order it online, which id rather not do.

  • How to map different Retail store business processes in SAP

    Hi
In our stores( Retail Business) there are two sales sections, In the first section we have Point  of Sales systems, here we placed our materials in racks, after confirming and creating sales order customer collects pick list and goes to the location to pick the products. Here customer Invoice will be created before delivery.
In second sales section normally order fulfillment will take place. Customer visit this section and select products and places an order. But the delivery will be at a later date. We receive some down payment from customer and we create sales order with scheduled delivery. while delivering the products we create delivery note and it will be sent to customer, Our driver will carry the delivery note along with products to the customer and take customer signature on the delivery note. In this second process we are creating Invoice after delivery only.
Could any body suggest me how can we map these two processes in SAP?
Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Strange error in retail store (u0093browser errors after migrationu0094)

    Dear Sirs,
After converting the retail store solution from standalone to internal ITS (wsta, wosm), we are experiences some rather strange problems.
The solution has been in testing for a number of days and everything works well for a large portion of the users, however out of 500 test orders (logins where we create orders) 3 of them do not get the to see the order list. They only get a blank page.
The strange thing is that after deleting the cache and cookies, it works. Another issue which seems to arise is that the status bar in IE is blinking, and by doing a refresh F5 things are working. The errors are probably connected.
And as far as I can see the error does not come back to the users who have deleted the cache&cookies. The users is assigned an order list based on a plant parameter which is set in SU01, so there should not be any cookies which determines the order list.
I find this error very strange, and would appreciate any ideas on how to locate the problem, or any considerations from you. Do you think this error is on the internal ITS or the browser side.
Has anyone else noticed browser error following a migration from standalone ITS to internal ITS?
I am aware there is a note on migrating wsta on internal ITS, but this does not seem to give me any input relevant to this specific problem.
I will be truly grateful for any hints or tips, as I need to see this problem with a new perspective.
    Best regards,
    Jørgen

    Hi Jørgen,
with the integration of ITS in the SAP kernel, a feature called content expiration is supported. The Web server (ICM) sets a field in the HTTP header which tells the web browser not to load the file again from the server until the time period specified in the HTTP header field is expired. For integrated ITS this HTTP header field is set by default 8 hours for all files stored below /sap/public/bc/its/mimes/ where the mime files used by ITS services are located.
If you do an upgrade like applying a services pack it is possible that due to this time period the browser uses mime objects from the cache instead of requesting them from the server. I.E. outdated JS files which are not in sync with the generated HTML can lead to JS errors. This would explain why your users don't experience the issue after clearing the cache.
    Best regards,
    Klaus

  • If i make an reservation for one iphone 4 in Retail Store on London?

If i make an reservation for one iphone 4 in Retail Store on London UK?
How much time takes when the iphone arrived on the apple shop and i come to pickup the iphone?

I have been told from the stores its best to order online. They are not sure of deliveries (ie. they do know but they dont tell their customers, just in case the deliveries dont arrive).
Regents Street - said order online as I may be waiting for a month.
Brent Cross - Had no idea when I can pick up - I put my name down anyway.
Whitecity (Westfield) - Said I had to come into store and reserve.
Situation I reserved on 19th July, have recieved no confirmation email, no moving up email, no pick up e-mail.
To be honest I think the stores in London you may be waiting a long time (ie 3-4 weeks +), else where in UK maybe 2-3 weeks.
I know the USA stores are much better with reservations, with confirmation asap and updates to say you are moving up, and pick up much faster, just a shame its not offline!

  • Has anyone seen a new 17" MBP on display in an Apple Retail Store yet?

Just wondering if they have begun showing up in stores yet (even if just on display) since my local Apple store keeps saying "by the end of the month." Really want to see one in person before taking the plunge. Thanks.

Not yet... The retail stores usually get new products around the time they start shipping direct to customers (who pre-ordered).

  • Is unlocked iphone from UK apple retail store the same as from online store

Today I bought an unlocked iphone 4 from my local UK Apple Retail store. I explained to the store assistant that as I work abroad for several months at a time I needed to be able to use my iPhone with both a UK carrier( not sure which one to go with yet), and a local carrier when in another country, therefore I wanted an unlocked sim free one. I bought the 16gig version and payed the full £499 for it, however, when I got home and looked at the receipt it also lists a "No Contract Sim" with a part number but with a unit price of £0.00.
So I am confused..! Is this the same as the sim free iphone available from the online store and can I use it with any carrier by swapping the sim card depending on my needs? Or, is this some other kind of sim card that will lock the phone once I activate it the first time. I had assumed that by paying the full price I was getting an unlocked sim free phone as described on the UK online store description. If it is not, I will need to return it and order one online.

The iPhone could be purchased at full price only at retail stores not online at least in US:
This FAQ can be found on the US site with a little digging (read on to know why digging was necessary)
"Is a new contract with AT&T required?
A new 2-year commitment with AT&T is required when starting your purchase online. Additionally, the Apple Retail Store offers a no-commitment iPhone for the full retail price."
This lines above are the info that you can read in a pop-up FAQ that will appear if you click on one nicely hidden FAQ link, reading: "Is a new contract with AT&T required?", located on the bottom left corner of the ordering process area.
What is misleading is that the FAQs on the landing page where users can select a 3GS or a 4, the FAQ for "Can I buy an iPhone without an AT&T contract?" is answered with a straight "No. iPhone requires a two-year AT&T wireless service contract." Such statement applies only to online store purchases and that's a piece of info that only a more careful, meticulous and OCD reader may find out since another FAQ tucked away elsewhere (read below) says you can buy iPhones at full price by going to any Apple Retail Store.
There is no way for me to give you a direct link to the other FAQ stating that, because it's accessible only during a purchasing session, therefore you'll have to go through the few steps below if you want to read that FAQ by yourself:
    1) Go to the online store,
    2) Select the iPhone image to start the buying process,
    3) Once on the page where you can choose the 3GS or the 4, select one,
    4) On the next page you should see 3 FAQ links (gray text, the bottom left corner),
    5) Click the one that reads: "Is a new contract with AT&T required?",
    6) Read the FAQ in the pop-up that will open after you clicked on the link.
There are no further details about unlocking, jail-breaking or the fact that the iPhone 4 uses a micro SIM instead of a standard or mini SIM card so you may want to ask more info in that regard to a Genius at the Retail Store to learn more about how you can buy an iPhone and use it with another carrier outside US.
If UK and US sales work following the same rules, your iPhone bought online should be carrier-locked, so if you've got one that was unlocked and contract-free from the UK store then either you are lucky guy, or sales in UK are more flexible than US. In both cases what would count is that your phone is unlocked, now the info you may want to get is simply what SIM and Carrier services will work on your iPhone when you are in US.
Best to you and I hope some of these info will help you. Good luck!
