.ipa package from Flash Builder 4.5.1

Can someone explain to me what is in the .ipa package for Apple iOS?
I opened the package and I don't see Objective C code.  Does the iOS just contain a SWF?

So forgive the ignorance on my part, but I'm to assume then that ultimately for all platforms, the .swf file IS the compiled code.  In the case of iOS platform it is further translated into a binary that can be read by iOS.
At no time are there any native Objective C files that I can see that are created in iOS and at no time are there native .java for Android?
Further, any tweaking at all to the code MUST be done in Flash Builder and recompiled using that application?
I appreciate the clarification in advance.

  • Debug icon gone from Flash Builder 4 Beta 2

    Gentlepersons,
In previous versions of Flex Builder (including Flash Builder Beta 1) there was a handy debugger-launcher icon in the upper-left corner of Flash Builder's main window. It looked like a green bug.  That icon is missing from Flash Builder Beta 2 (or at least, it ain't there in my just-installed copy of Flash Builder Beta 2).
How do I get that handy icon back?
    Thanks!  :-)

If you right-click the toolbar you can get to the 'Customize perspective' dialog.
From there make sure commands >> flash run/debug option is checked.
Oddly, there is no "Flash run/debug" option to check.
    Please see the attached picture.
Note that I am running Flash Builder Beta 2 (build 253292) on Eclipse 3.4.2 (build M20090211-1700) on Max OS X (version 10.5.8).
    Thanks!

The ANE file seemed to load in my project ok, and build ok.  But when I hit run to package for my ios device, I get the above error.

Here's the fix in case anyone else runs into this problem.  When Flash Builder is building the deployment during launch, it converts the mapped path to a mangled local path for the ane to find the descriptor to a relative path, which can't be found and throws the null pointer.  Making the Output Folder path actually local to the computer, as opposed to the default that FB creates, resolves the error, and still allows blazeds access from the device.

  • Flash builder 4.7 upgrade issue from Flash builder 4.5 (key is not valid)

    Hi,
We (Company) are buying Adobe products more than 6-7 years now. We bought the Flash builder premium 4.5 and Flash builder premium 4.5 for PHP volume licence. Now flash builder 4.7 should be complementary upgrade for us. But when we are using Flash builder 4.7 trial version and adding serial number (Flash builder 4.5 serial number), it's just not working and showing a error "key is not valid".
I chat with Adobe customer care 4 different people, they end up saying that let us transfer you to volume licence department and then chat ended. No more chat messages, I checked more than one hour and still no message.
Then I called they, it took 15 mins to connect with customer care. I picked the "upgrade" option from phone menu and then connected with a guy. After listening complete case he forwarded my call to Volume licence executive and the volume licence executive transferred it to some other guy and the other guy redirect it to some specialized person. So total 4 guys. The last guy (specialized) name was Rohit.
This guy Rohit asked me, did I buy a customer support programme (some product about $2.nn.00 )? I said no, we bought volume licenses for Flash builder premium 4.5 ( about $4000.00 ****). He said, sorry sir I can not help you in this, but I can provide you an e-mail address and you can report your concern there. I already passed my 1.5 hour in this conversation. I said okie. He gave me a case number and told me that he will send a email mentioning that email address as per my request I disconnect the phone.
I never get that email address.
Can some one suggest me what to do next. My case number is : 209-788-274.
    My email is: [email protected]
    Thanks,
    Amitabh Arya

I have the same problem, and i have send request complementary upgrade (Adobe® Flash® Builder® 4.7 Complimentary Upgrade), and only received a Acrobat change licensed...
I´m working with 4.7 Beta the last mounths, and now all the days have to see "please enter your license". So one problem that you can jump with money (if you have that money..), isn´t a problem. Like a i have license from flex 3, upgrade to flex 4, and upgrade to flex 4.5, i´m going to take de upgrade from 4 standard to 4.7 standard (47,97 euros), and not waste my time and money on calls. So yes, I'll see adobe with another eyes...

First, i have uninstalled older flash builder versions, and i have installed Flash builder 4.6 premium.
After, I have installed the BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK for Adobe AIR.
Next, I have updated the BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK plug-in.
But, my problem is using the deployment setup wizard.
I tried with the BlackBerry Tablet Simulator started, but when I click "Run the BlackBerry Tablet OS Deployment Setup Wizard" to configure your development environment, the wizard is not showing.
I would like generate my application, ".bar" file, signed with the reals certificates of BlackBerry. But i don´t know what is the problem.
Somebody have tested if this wizard is working to Flash builder 4.6.
Furthermore, i have tried to setting the reals certificates of BlackBerry, with the preferences window:

    Hi all,
    I have found the problem
BlackBerry Tablet OS search a path that don´t exist in my spanish Windows X.
As my system is at spanish, BlackBerry Tablet OS installer create this path:
    %HOMEPATH%\Configuraci¾n local\Datos de programa\Research In Motion
To resolve the problem, you must to create the path in english and copy the content of spanish path:
    %HOMEPATH%\Local Settings\Application Data\Research In Motion
By default, code signing keys are stored in a central location in your profile directory and used by all BlackBerry Tablet OS development tools. The default locations of these files vary based on operating system and  are outlined in the following table.
Note: In a Windows XP environment, the default  %HOMEPATH% is C:\Documents and Settings\<username>.  In a Windows Vista and Windows 7 environment, the default %HOMEPATH% is  C:\Users\<username>.

  • Sandbox Error Violation issue connecting from Flash Builder

I am trying to walk through the Getting started tutorials on the adobe developer site. I am using Flash Builder and I created a Flex 4 project. Other than that I pretty much followed the tutorial steps. In the debugger I am getting the following. Anyone figure out how to fix this. I have tried adding a crossdomain.xml to the webroot of the blazeds server. Does not seam to help.
Warning: Timeout on xmlsocket://localhost:27813 (at 3 seconds) while waiting for socket policy file.  This should not cause any problems, but see http://www.adobe.com/go/strict_policy_files for an explanation.
Error: SWF from http://localhost:8400/samples/blaze-tutorial-debug/main.swf may not connect to a socket in its own domain without a policy file.  See http://www.adobe.com/go/strict_policy_files to fix this problem.
    *** Security Sandbox Violation ***
Connection to localhost:27813 halted - not permitted from http://localhost:8400/samples/blaze-tutorial-debug/main.swf

Hi. Did you try asking about this problem on the FlashBuilder forum? I don't think this is related to BlazeDS.
BlazeDS wouldn't be trying to connect to a local socket. Also, adding a crossdomain.xml file to the BlazeDS server wouldn't help with this as the player is not trying to connect to the BlazeDS server but to a local socket.
Is the NetworkMonitor in FlashBuilder running? If I had to make a guess, I would say that maybe the NetworkMonitor is listening on that port and the player is trying to connect to the network monitor.
You might need to do something in FlashBuilder to allow the player to connect to the socket. Someone on the FlashBuilder forum should be able to help you.

  • Changes from Flash Builder 4 Beta 2 to Flash Builder 4 Premium

I have a Flex app that started in Flash Builder 4 Beta 2 and when the beta expired, we bought Flash Builder 4 Premium.
Before, when programmatically changing the selected index of a Spark DropDownList, the change handler was called, so in cases where I didn't want that to happen, I had to remove the event listener and add it again after a small setTimeout.
In the new version, it seems that when I change the selected index programmatically, the change handler is not called, so if I want it to be called, I have to call it manually, which is also fine. I just want to confirm that this different behavior was an actual change that was made and isn't caused by some kind of other change I made to my code.
Is there a list of feature changes from the beta to the release version? Thanks!
    -Travis

  • Upgrade from Flash Builder 4 Beta 2 to Flash Builder 4 Premium

    Hi guys,
How do i just upgrade from Beta 2 to premium?  Does the install utility for Premium take care of it? or do I need to some how uninstall and install Flash Builder 4 premium?  I currently have Flash Builder 4 Beta 2 installed as a plugin to my current Eclipse IDE, and I do not want to start all over again as there are quite of few settings/plugins already installed in Eclipse that I want to keep, and not waste more time duplicating the whole process.
    Thanks

  • Upgrade from Flash Builder Standard 4.6 to 4.7

    Hi,
in 2012 I've bougth the Upgrade Flash Builder Standard 4.5 from Standard 4 (Standard 4 is within my CS5.5). In 2013 I've updated to 4.6.
Now I've bought the Upgrade Flash Builder Standard 4.7.
During the installation I enter the the serNo from new 4.7 ... ok.
In the second step I am asked a serNo from FB Standard 4.
But neither my serNo from Standard 4 nor my serNo from 4.5 works.
    What's wrong?
    Josef

You might think very well before upgrading. Flash Builder 4.7 doesn't work fine.

  • Problem with registrating serilanumber after updating from flash builder 4.5 to 4.6

Had an upgraded suite Master Collection with 4.5 and unninstallet this for then to install a clean 4.6
Serialnumber for MasterCollection don't work, and I'm stuck with a trial version. The update should be free.
I have registerd tha master Collection suite on AdobeID, but it don't take when i try to register Flash Builder 4.6
    Any suggestions?

    Hi MoTor,
You would need to uninstall existing Flash Builder 4.5 on your machine and then install Flash Builder 4.6 in trial mode.
During installation, it doesn't accept the serial number of Master Collection. So, just install it in trial mode and make sure that the you select the same language as that of your Master Collection, during FB installation.
Now launch FB and it would then accept Master Collection CS 5.5 serial number.
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/924/cpsid_92402.html is the related tech note.
    Hope this helps.

  • App ios from flash builder add appStore problem

I create an apps iOS FB4.7 with Apache Flex sdk 4.11.0 FP 12.0 AIR 4.0 en_US I have a problem with adding it to the AppStore. Gets a message the error message: ERROR ITMS-9000: "No architectures in the binary. Lipo failed to detect any architectures in the bundle executable.". Whether it may have a relationship with the new Apple SDK 8? Could there be another reason?

  • Export from Flash Builder with Error Message

I was attempting to reduce my file size by removing the embedding. Got an error message when I tried to open it in Catalyst. "Flash Catalyst cannot open this project because it was created by an incompatible version of Flash Catalyst" Please help. Urgent.

    Hey Blink,
Just to clarify, you completed the following steps:
    1) opened your Catalyst project in Flash Builder
    2) removed the 'embed' statements
    3) exported as an FXP
    4) Tried to re-open in Catalyst?
We currently do not support a roundtrip workflow between Flash Catalyst and Flash Builder.
Meaning once you open a Catalyst created project in Flash Builder, you can't bring it back to Catalyst for editing.
We know this is really, really important to our users and it is on our list.
Blink, let me know if this answers your question.  If the steps I listed are incorrect, and you did not in fact open your project in Builder, let me know.
Are you using beta 1 or beta 2? Flash Catalyst 1.0, available today, contains a feature which allows you to toggle your images between 'embedded' and 'non-embedded'.  You can right click an image in the library panel to 'convert it to a linked image'.
    Thanks for posting!

  • [SOLVED] Unable to build packages from AUR (build: command not found)

I recently hosed the filesystem on my arch install of ~8 months. I reinstalled arch today and didn't have many problems since I had backups of many important config files. Anyways, I still need to get a few programs installed from AUR, but nothing I get from AUR will build.
I download the tarball, extract into a folder in /home/myuser/builds and then go into that folder and run makepkg -s (as always)
It checks the files and extracts/downloads them. Then I get the following error message:
    ==> Starting build()...
/usr/bin/makepkg: line 741: build: command not found
    ==> ERROR: Build Failed.
    Aborting...
I've run abs and I checked out the abs wiki page, I've also installed base-devel. I am not sure what else I need to do, the error message is not specific enough.
The packages I have been trying to install are      ttf-ms-fonts 2.0-7,      keepass 2.14-2, and I also tried ttf-vista-fonts 1-3. I am fairly certain that it is not a problem with the PKGBUILD files.
    Any ideas? Thanks!

I'll give it a try, as I frequently install software from AUR. In the past I think I let software from the AUR get outdated, Yaourt (clumsy name) sounds like it would help that a bit. Thanks!
Edit: BTW, I really love Arch. I tried it out on a flash drive about 8 months ago (maybe more), and after about 12 hours I was sold and installed it on the drive that Windows XP previously held. Even considering that I had many problems during the initial install, but they were all problems that caused me to learn and were easy to resolve. Seriously, I have lots of Windows tech experience, but only Arch forced me to learn Linux. I had tried Ubuntu previously but it was such a bore, and the problems tended to be hard to find solutions for. I try to convince my other Linux using friends to try arch, but they see it as too hands-on. I don't see it that way, it is very hands off after initial configuration, and the initial config only takes a week or less on the first try and a day and a half (or so) if you re-install. Having backups of your config files is of course a huge deal, and I am glad I had most of those.
Really, I love Arch Linux, it has taught me so much.
