Ipa-test-interpreter works; ipa-test doesn't

I could use some help getting my #AS3 / #AIR application running on #iOS !
Right now I have a .SWF (v11) that I'm converting to an .IPA using Adobe AIR (v3.7) on Windows (7).
If I do the conversion with the -target of ipa-test-interpreter it works great.
If I do the conversion with ipa-test, ipa-debug, ipa-ad-hoc, or ipa-appstore, the application seems to compile fine but upon execution of the app on my iPad it just shows a black screen.
This means I can test and develop but I won't ever actually be able to deploy to the app-store. Anyone else run into this?

The AIR SDK is 3.7, and I'm encountering this on the latest iOS version (as of May 10th, 2013) on iPad 2 and the new iPad. I'm compiling from a 64-bit version of Windows 7.
Here's my ADT command:
adt -package -target ipa-test  -storetype pkcs12 -keystore "cert/ios_development.p12" -storepass PASSWORD -provisioning-profile cert/cert.mobileprovision "dist\output.ipa" "buildConfig/ios/application.xml" -C bin . -C "icons" .

    I presume you have already got the ISTQB Certified Tester certification; which is probably the priority certification to achieve.
    I assume you are working with 'classic' oracle rdbms (not MySQL ... etc ... etc.  oracle actually provides about 5 or more database types).
    The choices from oracle are:-
    1z0-061 : This is an exam only and not a certification.  But it is pitched at the level you are likely at and study for it will benefit you work if you are using SQL to query the database. (Ignore 1z0-051 it is effectively the same thing and you might as well get the 12c version).
    If you are want a certification then you have two choices:
      SQL OCE  (1z0-047)
       -- This is a superset of 1z0-061 ... however this means in practice one does not have to study the 1z0-061 topics to the same depth ... which actually means a person if you position may lose a little from this.
      PL/SQL OCA (1z0-061 + 1z0-144)
       --- This is a possible target if you are involved with some PL/SQL .... however if you never touch it then it may not be an option for you.
    There are no easy choices; SQL OCE is a big step and tough exam; and PL/SQL OCA may not be where you want to go.  I wish there was an OCS exam targeted at people like you (Maybe 1z0-061 with a little Pl/SQL anonymous blocks for reporting).
    I would essentially suggest to study for 1z0-061 ... you should find you get rapid payback into your work by doing the study.  When you approach the point when you are ready to take the exam then review whether to take it (I personally would) or whether to continue straight for 1z0-047 (which I personally wouldn't).
    Others will give different suggestions.

    No. Luckily it is very quick to compile and test on the iPad. I've watched people using Flashbuilder and it seems to be a much more complex process.

  • 3D Tween not working in Test mode or Published version

    Hi, I'm pretty much tearing my hair out with this one. I am
    creating a 3d tween using the 3D rotation tool and everything looks
    great when I play it on the timeline but as soon as I test or
    publish the movie, the image is static, doesn't rotate and appears
    in the top left corner of the movie. I've tried it on three
    different computers and still have the problem so I guessit's got
    to be with my process.
    Draw a square
    Convert the square to a movie clip
    Insert a Motion Tween
    On the final frame, use the 3d Rotation Tool to rotate the
    square movie clip
    Play the movie - square rotates, everything works fine
    Test the movie - Square appears static on the screen (appears
    in top left corner of movie) and does nothing
    Can anyone see anything I'm missing from that process or know
    of any setting that may be causing the problem. Any suggestions
    would be greatly appreicated.
    Thanks,
    Dan

    Thanks - got the file.
    So, I added a third instance next to the other two just fine - it scrubs and publishes. (my steps were to take the trigger instance from the library, and I copy and pasted the motion from one of the other clips to the third instance)
    So that doesn't seem to be the problem. Could you add the steps you're using where the 3D doesn't animate, or add the non-working file?
    Thanks!

    But, can you try to use http://drmtest2.adobe.com:8080/Content/anonymous.f4v with locally hosted OSMF player? This content doens't require user/pass info.
    I'm wondering that Google TV's flash player doesn't support prompt dialog.
    http://drmtest2.adobe.com/AccessPlayer/player.html requires flash player 11. That's why it won't be loaded with flash player 10.x.

  • SWN_SELSEN not working in test client after client-copy

    Hi all,
    We are using extended notification without problem until test client was refreshed by client-copy from production client. In test client, report SWN_SELSEN did not generated notification even there are newly generated workflow items.  Because of client-copy, I found that tables SWN_NOTIF, SWN_NOTIFTSTMP, SWN_SENDLOG, SWN_TIMESTAMPS are all empty in test client.
    Please advise how to make report SWN_SELSEN back to work in test client.  Thanks.
    << Additional information >>
    (1) Run report SWN_SELSEN_TEST with test Case 5 - Simulate Send Only.  After this, some entries were written to above tables.  But test on new workflow item, the schedule report SWN_SELSEN still fail to trigger notification.
    (2) Run report SWN_SELSEN_TEST with test Case 4 - Send One Message Only.  It triggered notifications for all active workflow items and sent out several hundred emails including workflow item created in step 1.  However, further test on new workflowitem, the schedule report SWN_SELSEN is still unable to trigger notification.
    I think there may be something else missing, like the timestamp of delta.  Please help.
    Regards,
    Donald

    Hello,
    I've experienced a few cases where stopping SWN_SELSEN and then restarting it helped to fill up SWN_TIMESTAMPS with proper values. How does that table look after you run it?
    What is SWN_SELSEN_TEST?
    Chck in SLG1 to get an idea of why it's not working. You can also run SWN_SELSEN in the foreground and debug it to see exactly where and why it goes wrong. Also check ST22.

  • Runtime error in production but working in test

    Hi all gurus!<br><br>
    We have an interesting problem with two own developed Java DynPage components. They both have inputfields that are put in a table by a TableViewCellRenderer. The code looks like this and is pretty straight forward:<br><br>
         InputField dateField = new InputField(Constants.startDateTag);<br><br>
         // Now we set the string for inputField from the model, so that the selections<br>
         // already made in the tableView don't get lost<br><br>
         // Get current date<br>
         String dateString=tableView.getValueAt(row, column).toString();<br><br>
         // Check if empty string<br>
         if(dateString == null || (dateString !=null && dateString.trim().equals("")))<br>
         {<br>
              //Get current date<br>
              dateString=CalendarUtil.getCurrentDate();<br>
         }<br><br>
         // Set current date<br>
         dateField.setString(dateString);<br><br>
         // Now we set the datatype to DATE and SHOWHELP to TRUE<br>
         dateField.setType(DataType.DATE);<br>
         dateField.setShowHelp(true);<br>
         dateField.setDesign(InputFieldDesign.SMALL);<br><br>
         // Set the renderer<br>
         dateField.render(rendererContext);<br><br>
    This code gives a nullpointerexception. The error stack in the default trace points to the following row:<br>
    dateField.setType(DataType.DATE);<br><br>
    The complete error stack is at the end of the post.<br><br>
    As I said in the header it works fine in test but not in production. We have copied the production database to test to eliminate the influence of erroneous data. What we found is that the components still worked in test so the data itself is not the source of the problem, which also the error message gives a hint of.<br><br>
    Does anyone have an idea about what the problem could be? I have torn the little hair I still have on my head over this problem. ;)<br><br>

    Problem solved.
    The reason for the error was a tricky one. The InputField was instantiated using the constructor with an Id as in-parameter. Unfortunately the Id contained special characters, an unfortunate slip of mind.
    What made this error so difficult two find were two things.
    First: the solution worked in Test but not in Production. One would think that the Id should create a problem in both environments or in none.
    Second: after the instantiation of the inputfield it accepted inputfield.setText("..."); but then crashed at the following row "inputfield.setType(DataType.DATE);. One would have expected the component to crash at the first manipulation.
    I hope this can help other persons who have made an unfortunate choice of Id.
    Best regards
    Benny

  • BAPI works in test but not in production

    3rd party software uses BAPI to input data into SAP. This works in test but not in production. We have checked that user 3rd party software uses have same rights in both systems. BAPI is standard SAP BAPI. We can connect to production with SM59.
    Is there anything in SAP that could cause this?

    No. Better you check with the PATCH Levels.. etc to know is there any changes in the BAPI (BASIS people can help you) > Otherwise go to SYSTEM in the MENUBAR> STATUS--> Compare the Status there
    After that check the data once...

  • Automated Composite build/test not work with non-default version

    Hello,
    I have a BPEL composite and I am trying to setup maven and soapUI to build, deploy, test, and upon successful test, set it as the default version. The difficulty I am having is testing the composite before it becomes the default version. I am able to hit the endpoint using the full URL with the randomly generated ID in it using soapUI (see below), but not by using the shortened URL.
    Full URL: http://soabpm-vm:8001/soa-infra/services/default/Project1!0.0.12-SNAPSHOT*soa_13954572-b91f-480d-88d2-037e92083d72/bpelprocess1_client_ep
    Shortened URL: http://soabpm-vm:8001/soa-infra/services/default/Project1!0.0.12-SNAPSHOT/bpelprocess1_client_ep
    I tried hitting the shortened URL outside of the maven build, just using soapUI, and the response is empty. However, if I then mark this new version as default (through EM), and then mark a previous version as default (let's say 0.0.11), then the shortened URL for 0.0.12 can be successfully hit.
    It seems to me then that before the shortened URL above can be used, that specific version must have been set as the default version at some point. This would make an automated maven/soapUI test of new version (but not default) quite difficult, as it would have to somehow retrieve the full URL.
    Is this a bug or can it be fixed with a config setting change?
    Here are the steps in the process, maven build (using the Oracle provided ant sca files):
    1. Compile
    2. Package
    3. Deploy, not as default
    4. Test the new version (using soapUI plugin)
    5. If successful tests, mark new version as default
    The problem is with step 4, can't determine what the full URL is and the shortened URL does not work.
    Thanks
    Ben

    I found a similar issue in Oracle's support site, Patch 13774839 (based on bug 13569816). I will try that out and post the results here.

  • Just installed the latest Canon printer software update (V 3.2) from the App store. Canon Pixma MX850 will not print. Dialog says job stopped at the server - no pages found. Utilities, print test page works. Printing via Airport.

    Just installed the latest Canon printer software update (V 3.2) suggested by the App store in effort to get printer working after OS update. Canon Pixma MX850 will not print. Dialog says job stopped at the server - no pages found. Utilities, print test page works. Attempting to print via Airport from a MacBook Pro. Also from a Mac Pro via ethernet. Both worked before updating to Yosemite. Canon Pro 9000 Mk 2 works via USB. Tried installing driver 10.84 from OS 10.9 as suggested by PAHU; no luck.

    The "stopped at server - no pages found" message would suggest an image with the print file that is created by the printer driver on the MacBook Pro. But if the Mac Pro is getting the same message then that is unusual.
    To rule out a couple of causes I would try connecting the MacBook Pro directly to the MX850 by USB cable. This action should result in a new printer for the USB connection being created automatically. If not then you may need to manually create it as you won't be able to use the existing printer that exists for the network connection. With the new printer created see if this will let you print without error.
    If this USB connected printer also fails with the same message then try a reset of the printing system. Note that this action will also remove the Pro 9000 from Printers & Scanners so you will have to add it and the MX850 again.
