IPAD 2 announced...still no flash player support?

I'm slightly confused how would a buritto project work on apple products if there is no flash player support?

So basically device apps would work, but not RIA flash websites then...
Maybe it's for the best...
I got a samsung captivate and flash web sites weren't the best in terms of experience, nor were html websites that used frames lol...

  • Still no flash player for IE 64 bit

When is there going to be flash for IE 64 bit how long does it take
xp 64 bit has been around for a long time and even vista 64 has been out for roughly 2 years
and still no flash player. I cerntainly won't be buying anything from adobe in the furture
and will be encourging friends and customers to do the same
    Get your act together adobe

I read from Adobe's own site that they are working on the 64-bit version for most everything:
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/000/6b3af6c9.html
They provide instructions for installing on Mac as well.
I imaging Apple (ahem, Steve Jobs) will still resist Flash on their products until they can get them to run smooth consistently, and even then they're not likely to allow it on their hand-held devices because they don't like developers using cross-compatible languages.

  • Still using Flash Player??

I was excited when I saw you were developing a new portal, then realized you are still using Flash Player.  ] Please switch to HTML5

    Guys,
    I'm  having the same problem!
Most of the videos appear with large green and red areas (as in the image) that make the vision almost impossible. It happens either with Firefox, Chrome or Explorer, but other video formats work fine, so I understand is a Flash player problem. Every now and then the flash player crashes too.
I've tried to uninstall and reinstall the 11.3 player and finally installed the 11.2 version back and the problems disappeared, but I can't see a lot of stuff, as they require the latest version.
    What should I do?

  • Is Flash Player Supported in Windows 7?

Is the most recent version of Flash Player supported in Windows 7?

An FYI for anyone thinking of installing the Flash player on Windows 7:
Installing the Firefox version of Flash was easy. Installing the Internet Explorer version was more difficult. The Adobe website crashes Internet Explorer 8.
The only way to install the Flash player (and the Shockwave player) on Internet Explorer 8 is to set Internet Explorer to Compatibility mode.
Note: I am using the Release Candidate (build 7100) of Windows 7. The problem I described may be fixed by the time Windows 7 is released to general availability.

  • When will Flash Player support my 64-bit browser?

I have had my new Windows 7 PC for a couple of weeks now. When I first got it, I kept getting messages telling me I needed to install Adobe Flash Player in order to get the full experience of a website. So I installed the Flash Player. Subsequently at many websites I got a pesky message about the Flash Player. (I forget the precise content of the message, but I'm sure many people using 64-bit browsers are familiar with it.)
I went to Adobe's site and discovered that the Flash Player did not support 64-bit browsers. Adobe's recommended solution for this disturbing news was that I install and run a 32-bit version of Internet Explorer, and Adobe didn't exactly lead me by the hand in explaining how I should do that. I was told to go to Microsoft and get help there. Yeh, right! Suddenly I'm thinking about a couple of hours of hassle. Nevertheless I browsed over to Microsoft and clicked to a few pages. I did not find any easy-to-follow instructions on how to uninstall my 64-bit Internet Explorer 8 and install a 32-bit version.
Is Adobe advising me to take a step backward? Is, or is not, 64-bit browsing better than 32-bit browsing?
I did not, and have not, installed the 32-bit Internet Explorer. Instead I found help at Adobe for uninstalling the Flash Player. Those pesky messages are history.
I really have not noticed any difference in quality between my former 32-bit browsing and my present 64-bit browsing, with and without the Flash Player. My browsing experience has been good, and I think the Flash Player adds nothing significant. Surely it adds nothing critical. Windows Vista has come and gone without Adobe providing support for its 64-bit version. Maybe the same thing will happen for Windows 7. So be it. If a Flash Player comes out that supports 64 bits, then I will use it. If Flash Player never supports 64 bits, then I'll never again use Flash Player.
I saw another post here, a fairly recent one, where a replier said that about 70% of Internet browsers are still using Windows XP. (I guess more than 90% of those use 32-bit browsers.) Okay, I believe that, but what about the other 30%? If only a measly 5% of all Internet browsers use 64 bits, that's a hell-of-a-lot of people. Surely thousands, maybe millions. Are all these people to be fobbed off? Does Adobe really have something more important to work on?
Should Adobe be condemned for its lassitude regarding 64-bit support? I think so, but what about the horde of websites that features the Flash Player? Knowing well that there are thousands, or millions, of people using 64-bit browsers, should not those websites and their organizations also be condemned?

Frankly I think Adobe is treating its customers shabbilly in this regard. There is a much larger 64 bit windows installed base than 64 bit linux, yet adobe have released the 64 bit linux support first, and not even announced the 64 bit windows version in any way for over a year.
Come on Adobe, we understand you and Microsoft are competitors, but don't let your users get caught in the cross fire. There are now close to as many computers running 64 bit windows than there are running any version of linux, or any version of mac os, 32 bit included.
It has been over a year and a half since Adobe even updated its position on this issue on its web site. Search bing for 64 bit flash and you get 32 million hits. 64 bit windows is nearly 3 years old as a released product, and 4+ years in terms of dobe having access to it.
Adobe, surely at the very least, you owe it to your customers to tell them when you plan to address this.

  • Flash player support for video playback in Lumia 8...

When will  Nokia/MS support Adobe Flash player for Lumia 800 like they have for Android?
Also I should be able to download a browser of my choice on Lumia as well. Any clarifications from Nokia most welcome!

Adobe has announced that it has ceased development of Flash for mobile phones (in favour of HTML5, and due to the opposition of both Apple and Microsoft to allow support of Flash for their mobile operating systems), so from that direction neither Microsoft nor Nokia is going to get any help.
If the Adobe Flash Video format specification is publicly available to use or to license (I don't know if it is), then at least Microsoft could implement support for it, if they wanted to (Nokia might not have sufficient rights from Microsoft to add new codecs to Windows Phone).
So, you might direct your question primarily to Microsoft, rather than Nokia (of course, a Microsoft representative will probably read this, too, but whether they'll response or not is another matter).

  • How to play facebook game such as cityville in ipad, because it asking for flash player, but cannot download it for ipad

How To Play facebook games in iPad Safari?
Safari is asking for flash player to play it.
But i can't install it to iPad.
Or may be i must upgrade the version of safari for iPad?
or may be there some special application that can play facebook game
    Thanks 4 ur help

Safari on the iPad does not support Flash and will not for the forseeable future.
Some of the FaceBook games have their own apps in the App Store that you can download. Some are the full games and some are not. For example "Cityville Hero" tells you when certain things happen in game so you can pop online on a computer and check it there, rather than letting you play it first.
Checking the App Store is the best place to find a way around using a site that requires a flash player. A lot of sites create apps so you can use them on the iPad/iPhone/iPod touch. And if you find a site that doesn't you can always contact the website creators to see if they have or will create an app for the iOS devices.

  • Can Adobe Flash Player support Microsoft Windows Embedded 8 version?

Flash Player seems still have bugs on Microsoft Windows Embedded 8.
Does any one know which flash player version is fully support WES8?

The Windows IE plugin is modified by Microsoft. Adobe writes the code, but once it goes in the browser, it's Microsoft's baby. It cannot be updated or replaced here unless you remove a specific Windows 8 update KB patch.
It IS fully supported but IE11 has been a "rolling train wreck" since it was released. The pages can't recognize the browser, so they don't recognize any of the plugins, like Flash Player. So far, Microsoft has made NO indication that they have any plan to fix it soon.
Microsoft's recommendation is to use Compatibility View for affected pages, and "pretend" you're using an different browser. Trouble with that is it has seen limited success at best, and you have to individually enable it for EVERY page that has problems.
I'm not big on "pretending" so I recommend actually using another browser.
    Firefox (from Mozilla)
    Opera (from Opera)
    Safari (from Apple)
    Chrome (from Google)
ANY of those will work where IE11 won't, with the Flash Player Plug-in (For all other browsers), and Chrome doesn't even need that because it has its own Flash Player plugin built in.

  • [TECHNOTE ANNOUNCE]  Error installing Flash Player "The download did not pass the integrity check (16236.304.443)

    All,
I've published a new technote for folks who are having trouble with the Adobe Download Manager and Flash Player.
Error installing Flash Player "The download did not pass the integrity check (16236.304.443)
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/512/cpsid_51258.html
Essentially this technote links to the Windows troubleshooting technote here:
    http://www.adobe.com/go/tn_19166
However, before today the Windows troubleshooting technote only had an EXE install for the ActiveX version of Flash Player 10.  I have now added a link to download the EXE version of the Flash Player Plugin installer as well.
Please point other users with integrity check errors to the first technote.

Thank you for the update & Tech Note Announcement. I do have a couple of questions, if you could please respond.
After uninstalling and ready to download; reading from the link you provided on 9/4/09, Should we follow the normal download instructions
per #2. "Flash  Player download Center" and if a successful installation is not accomplished, THEN, go to "download and unzip install_Flash_Player_10_Plugin (all other windows browsers) ? Or should the latter step be done in lieu of #2 mentioned. I am assuming the download from F.P. D.L. Center would be done first and then troubleshoot by running the EXE. version of the F.P. Plugin installer.
Experience has taught me not to assume much, and if you don't know, ask!
Thanks for your hard work, but you have to admit, for the technically deprived, it is frustrating and confusing.
