IPad 2 app problem.

So I download an app or apps and when there done I don't see them on my home screen so I searched for them and found them but what I want to know is how do I get them on my home screen? Please help this is annoying me badly XD

Are your screens full? If all of the screens are full, the apps will not appear on the home screens and you have to search for them.
If this is a relatively new problem try resetting your iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen. After the iPad starts up, see if the apps appear.

    If you had money in your account when you purchased a paid app and Apple didn't claim on the payment to your bank until after the download it maybe that there was insufficient balancce in your account to complete the purchase and therefore you'll need to wait until you have the funds to make the payment, when you have billing issues it won't even let you download free apps.
    If that isn't the case then give iTunes store a call or email them and they can tell you exactly what is wrong with the account

    I have a valid iTunes account.
    I cannot download apps onto iPad (original) any longer.
    "App will be unavailable for download when you log in to the iTunes Store on your computer"
    The specific app I was looking for was MarkBook 2011.
    I have logged into my iTunes account numerous times from my computer. Never a problem.
    Can't get any more apps for iPad (or iPhone or iTouch for that matter)
    What is up?

    Have you tried logging out of your account on the iPad (Settings > Store and tapping your id on the right-hand side) and then logging back in and seeing if you can then download the app ?
    Or you could try downloading the app onto your computer's iTunes and connecting your iPad to it and syncing it across, and then see if future purchases/updates will download directly onto the iPad.

  • IPad app problem with iBooks storage data?

    Has anyone checked their iBooks storage amount in settings? I've downloading a few things in iTunes U and other places but since removed everything from the iPad, but when i got to check storage, iBooks is consuming over 600MB. I never had more than a couple pdfs or books inside the iBooks app so this is impossible unless its counting other media but like I said, I've removed everything and the storage hasn't changed.
    The other thing I did was remove iBooks completely, reinstalled it and still the same problem! How can I free this storage up. iCloud says iBooks is only backing up 20Mb of data so thats not it.
    I'm at a loss here and dont want to do a factory reset. New to apple/ipad, but if I click to backup to the cloud and then I restore the entire iPad, will it load all of my settings for all my apps including where I've had to login so I dont have to do that all over again?

    Same problem here, just have - few books I'm iBooks but for me it's taking up 1.1 gb of space on my ipad. How can I figure out what's taking all that space up and get rid of it without deleting iBooks entirely? This is using the latest version of iBooks with an iPad 3 with iOS 6

    My iPad says I have installed an app the I deleted a month ago because it messed up and when I tried to download it again it saysit was already installed I tried to reset it and it still says it was installed . Please help.?

    When you select photos to upload, we first do an "import" which brings in the small previews so you can see them. We finish that numbered countdown and then we upload the originals and say we are "syncing" .When cloudy (the little cloud icon)  is working, you should see chasing arrows. If you exit the  Revel app while we are uploading we continue to upload for 10 min in the background and then stop and issue a notification. 
    You should only delete things off the device once cloudy indicates the "library is up to date"   You can check this by opening the library and noticing if there is a cloudy status in the library view. If there isn't a cloud icon you can check the settings panel and see cloudy there. If originals haven't uploaded completely on the device, then cloudy will be in the library view and indicate activity.
    It sounds like you might have closed the app before it completed uploading. When you delete the app, you cancel the incomplete upload and the full sized verison of the files will never arrive in the cloud.
    Try uploading and leaving the app open until the cloud status is "up to date".

    Recently sold my iPad, 3rd generation, after purchasing the new iPad Air. I did indeed do a reset on the ipad 3 before I sold it. The new owner contacted me and said that it's currently downloading apps and music automatically. These are apps and music that I had purchased. He hasn't downloaded anthing himself. I would have thought that doing a reset would have prevented this from happening. Any suggestions? Thank you!

    This is a known bug ("feature"?) where certain letter combinations are blocked. These blocked combinations are fixed and not related to the dictionary - no way to learn the desired spelling. There is hope that this will be fixed in the 3.0 firmware.

    We are fellow users here on these user-to-user forums, you're not talking to iTunes Support nor Apple.
    Have you tried closing all apps via the iPad's multitasking bar and then doing a soft-reset and seeing that helps ? To close all apps :
    iOS 7: double-click the home button to open the taskbar, and then swipe or drag each app's screen from there up and off the top of the screen to close it, and click the home button to close the taskbar.
    iOS 6 and below : from the home screen (i.e. not with any app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of each app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
    Soft-reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

    First we aren't Apple just normal users just like you.
    Second provide Apple a feedback or send them a mail.
    Third they will never send you a free iPad Air.
    If you want one you have to buy it. (go for refurbished if the device is too expensive) or look for special prices.
    Contact iTunes support if you have a problem with an App.

  • Problem transferring the info from my IPad apps to my IPhone

    I recently bought an IPhone and I want to have all the information I've stored in my IPad apps transferred to my IPhone. I synced the two devices through my computer and the apps I initially downloaded on my IPad are all now on my IPhone, but they don't have any of the information that I had created on the IPad. How can I get the information transferred over as well?

    Thanks for the response. By information, I mean that I have used the apps on my IPad for awhile now and have information stored on them. For example, my Errands app has various to-do items I've inputted and different  task folders I created. When I downloaded all my apps to my Iphone, the apps show up like they are new - none of the information that I had previously inputted on my IPad is on them.
    I tried the steps on the link you suggested and I think one problem is that when I set up my phone at the Apple Store, I set it up as a new IPhone and didn't use the restore option. Now that it's done, I can't seem to find where I could go back to that screen and change the option. Do I need to reset all settings or erase all content and settings first? Or is there another way?  Thanks out there to anyone who can help!

  • Ipad App waiting problem

    I have paid for several apps on a new Ipad, when I try to download them to the ipad they sit on waiting forever!
    I have tried ALL the suggestions on the net, i cant sync to itunes on my macbook as itunes locks up whenever I plug the ipad in to the mac, I have tried pausing and restarting the download, I have tried deleting the download and reinstalling, and I have tried going to updates with the app paused to resume but nothing shows. I have logged in and out of the app store, reset and rebooted the ipad more times than I care to remember.
    This is SO frustrating. I only bought the Ipad 2 days ago, and if I cant install apps on it it is absolutely useless to me. I may send it back, and seek a refund from the app store for the apps.
    In hope that there is some way to resolve this I am posting here in desperation. I have an important prokect looming which the ipad was to play an important role in, but was dismayed to see the problem, with no resolution for many people all over the net.
    Can ANYONE help? Please?

    If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

    Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
    If that doesn't work:
    •  Log out of your iTunes store account.  Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
    • Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
    • After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

  • Font problems after update folio tools & iPad app

    I updated all of my DPS tools and the ipad app and now for some reason one of my fonts looks very crunchy and jagged around the edges. It looked fine before I updated and now it looks horrible and I don't know what to do to fix it.  Anyone know what I can do to make it look normal again, I'd really apreciate the help?

    I have figured out that the problem seems to be with any text that I converted into a button.  If I make it an object then it looks fine.  I don't know why updating my dps tools would make all my buttons look horrible they looked fine before the update but at least I can do a work around now.

    You don't need other people's experience for this, just an extra drive with a partition where you can install an upgrade and test your requirements before moving to it permanently. Lots of people who cannot afford to have OS update problems work this way. Superduper has a "sandbox" feature which makes this really easy.
    I always think that if you're going to reinstall the OS, best do it fresh rather than a clone that may already have some cruft on it.
    Perhaps. The main value of the clone is that you can keep working without losing the time required to reinstall, which could be important for a particular user on a particular day.

  • IPad app store software update problem

    My iPad app store icon indicates I need software updated.  When I go to the app store all screens are working fine except the update software screen, which is blank.  The "Updates" and "Search Store" bar is still at the top, as is the "featured" "top charts" "genius" "purchased" and "updates" bar at the bottom.  I can easily navigate between the screens.  But on this update page between the top and bottom is all white.  I've tried shutting on and off, and tried resetting the iPad but neither option works.

    Quick workaround,
    App store
    Purchased.
    Go through all apps and hit update on the apps that offer where it should say open or show the icloud icon
    Just worked for me

  • IPad app and IOS 6 problem?

    We are using the OBIEE ipad app (version 11.1.1.6.1140) - the HD version, against a 11.1.1.6.2 BP1 server. Several weeks ago when I tested this, everything was working fine. However, I went back in today, and NONE of the dashboard prompts are working. If you click on the prompt, nothing pops up and there is no way to choose a new value.
    The only thing I can think of is that I upgraded my iPad to IOS 6 last week. Has anyone else noticed an issue with this?

    Yes, we are seeing the same issue. I have an iPhone that has been upgraded and can't change the page on a dashboard for some of the pages, but on another device that hasn't been upgraded everything seems to work as it should.
