IPad 2 - Early Release Oct 22

With no official release date stated by Apple, and now many preorders have been scheduled to arrive at homes on Wednesday (including some in Australia that have already been delivered), can we expect to pick up our reservations before the BestBuy.com originally stated October 24?
It would be disappointing to have to wait an extra couple of days when many others are already using them openly. So long as they are at the store tomorrow or Thursday, can we pick them up? Rather than wait for the 24th when Best Buy may be waiting till to sell it on the floor?

Best Buy strives to ship with the intent of having a pre-order product arrive on release day, however, vendor agreements and product availability can impact when those units ship out, along with the shipping method chosen. You can find more information on Shipping Costs and Timing here.
When your unit ships, you should get an email with your UPS tracking information. Assuming that UPS has updated their tracking website, you should be able to see your estimated arrival date. The best way to potentially ensure release day availability would be to choose Express shipping or pre-order for in-store pickup (when available).

Early Release Movies

I purchased an early release movie. How to I get all the extra content once the full release comes out?

Yeah, I have this problem too. Since the HD purchase usually includes the SD movie too, I am perfectly content to watch SD on my Windows computer and HD on my AppleTV.
Only workaround I've found for this is to buy the HD version of the movie on my iPad. Then, download it to my computer via iTunes or by transferring it from my iPad. I hear you can buy it on an iPhone too (4 or 4s) and achieve the same result.
But that's a terrible workaround. I have a number of other HD movies I've purchased with previous versions of iTunes, so this is absolutely something that Apple has introduced relatively recently.

EPMA 11.1.2.1 Property Differences from Earlier Releases

Hi All,
Just wondering if someone could shed some light on the below:
We are upgrading from 9.3.1 to 11.1.2.1 and have noticed that quite a few of our EPMA Planning properties have changed in 11.1.2.1.
This seems to be documented P379 of the EPMA 11.1.2.1 admin guide ( http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E17236_01/epm.1112/epma_admin.pdf ) under the "Property differences from earlier releases" section.
First of all I m really not sure why Oracle did this (?!?!?!?) but more importantly how can we possibly identify such members for which properties have changed?? We cannot possibly compare every single member property with the 9.3.1 apps? We have hundreds of entities, a reasonably large chart of accounts and over 10000 projects members. This just does not seem possible?

Also beware that various properties seem buggy when it comes to automatically updating them from(an import profile connected to) either a Flat file or a data base source etc.
We encountered various issues with 11.1.2.1 attempting to do this. Remember that specific properties have only changed for specific dimension types, which could be a good thing, as it narrows your search, but could also be bad as you now have several types of change to make.
Short of trial and error, I think you're going to have to go down the "check everything" route.

if this is the first time to happen in this version of the app. then it may just be a flaw with that version, if you have already un-installed and re-installed the app then it will just be a waiting game at this point until youtube hears and it and fixes it

IPad 2 UK, Release Confirmed!

So this weekend I have been speaking to Apple in regards to the release date of the iPad in the UK. I called my local store and they have CONFIRMED that they will be getting all models of the iPad 2.
They also told me that, they have been ''briefied'' and if I did not want to wait in line, I could pre-order which would be availble around the same time as the release date. Not sure what this means, but there you go..

This means you can order one from the online Apple store starting on the 25th and have it delivered.

Airplay Mirroring FAIL ON NEW IPAD AND EARLY 2O11 MBP HELP! But pass with IPHONE 4 S!!!

Ok let me start by saying I have a Iphone 4s and is mirroring perfectly with my APPLE TV but on the OTHER HAND I also have the NEW IPAD that can play youtube videos perfectly and see photos through mirroring/airplay BUT it can't scroll to my home screen nor can't surf the web while mirroring and it's fustrating. I also have a Early 2011 Macbook pro which it worked in the beginning and loved it but suddly stop mirroring or airplaying!!!! What do you think is wrong? when I Airplay/mirror with my IPHONE 4S it's fast and responsive but with my ipad and my macbook it just fails ugh!!!! so irritated...I also have a APPLE TV 3RD gen up to date... lmk if you could help me out that would be amazing...-matty

I'm not sure why this is happening, but I think I'm seeing the same thing. Many times when I get an email on the iPad or iPhone with a picture attached, I don't see the picture but instead just a placeholder icon.
I have found a work around though to at least see the picture. If I forward it and include the attachment, I see the picture in the outgoing email. I can even save the image from the sending email if I really don't want to send it. If i do send it to myself, chances are I will see the picture in the email when I receive it even though it's just a resend of the original.

I pre ordered and album and an early release song was added to my music. However it says complete pre order and if i click that it says "Already Purchased". None of the other songs on the album will downloaded onto my music either. Help

I preo ordered the album "Lost Isles" by Oceans Ate Alaska and the first early realease song, "Floorboards" Was instantly downloaded into my music library. However, today, a new song was released early called "Blood Brothers". It hasn't been downloaded into my music library and will let me purchase it for 99p. The album also says next to it "Complete Pre Order" but if I click that it just says "Album already purchased". Please tell me how to get the album without having to individually buy each track when they are released, costing me at least another £7. :/

I am currently intending to buy an iPad from one of my acquaintances as he is upgrading to a later version of iPad. However, when I get the device, is there any way I could possibly find out about the release version of the device and can I get Apple Care Support on it if I buy the Support considering the fact that it will be used item?
I am new to Mac and would indeed be thankful to have any views on this.

When the new ipad will be released on United Arab Emirates online store?

i would like to buy the new ipad (3) but when i enter the online store for United arab Emirates i can see only the ipad 2 ....is it going to be released soon?

No one here would know when Apple will release the new iPad in your country unless Apple has made an announcement of a future date for the release. I have not seen such an announcement in the press. Apple does not answer questions here.

Is there a way I can buy Ipad 1, even though Ipad 2 was released several months ago?

I would like to purchase Ipad but I would not like to buy a Ipad 2 because of it's price. Is there a way to still purchase an Ipad 1, even though the new one was released several months ago? I don't mind if it's been used before but I would rather not use sites like Kijiji.com because you never know weather you're buying something that's stolen. I recently( late November) purchased a refurbished iPad 1 from the online Apple store, It was refurbished, but came with the same 1 year hardware warranty that a new one does.

AT&T has released the iPhone 6 earlier than expected. Is Apple following suite if the phone was ordered through apple.com for an AT&T plan?

What do you mean? The iPhone 6 was launched today, 19 September, as announced. And not just by AT&T but also by Verizon, Sprint, TMobile and Apple.

I tried to update my ipad today and i accidently disconnected it, now it is saying on the ipad screen connect to Itunes but the computer wont register my ipad, but earlier it was saying something about apple mobile device. need ipad for school HELP?

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
