    Hey omaredabed,
Thanks for the question. I understand you have an app that seems to be stuck on "Waiting". The following is a past discussion that dealt with a similar issue, the answer may help you as well:
App updates won't download on my...: Apple Support Communities

Try tapping the App, so that it changes to Paused instead of Waiting, then tap it again to resume the install.
Make sure you don't have any paused downloads in other apps either, like the App Store or iTunes Store.
If that doesn't do it, try resetting or restoring the iPhone.

  • Apps in waiting mode but no download

Applications in "waiting" mode - While having Financial Times applications open, I also wanted to update 14 applications via the AppStore. However now all these applications are in waiting mode but no download is happening. The one application is still open also in waiting mode in the multitask pane however I cannot close the application. I tried all steps mentioned in the manual and in the forums. There is no application with any download progress so basically it seems all is stuck. I Switched to different network, and restarted the iPad. I have not reset the iPad yet. Please advise.

Try a reset and see if they resume after the iPad has restarted : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Why is all my apps in "waiting" mode

Why does all my apps say waiting?

I'm posting my experience because 1) lots of people are having this problem, frustration is high (as was mine last night) 2) I haven't seen any solutions online that worked for me, and 3) I spent half an hour on the phone with Apple Tech Support so you dont have to. Spoiler alert: It solved my problem.
I had the same problem described above and on other threads, though different from many other threads. I had just gotten my brand-new iPad (spring 2012) and spent hours choosing, redownloading (I had an iPad 2) and organizing apps into folders. Then...  it happened. No new apps would download, each icon would show up and say "Waiting…" for hours if I left it alone. It should be noted that I was redownloading iCloud backups of purchased apps, not a restore from my iPad 2 backup or individual app downloads from the App Store.
I tried all the suggestions out there that I found, to no avail. It seems those measures were aimed at iTunes downloads rather than the iCloud restores: delete the pending downloads, clear the iTunes download cue of partial downloads, log out of the iTunes store in Settings, hard reset, and log back in, etc.
So I called Apple Support and they suggested I "Erase all contents and settings" option in Settings -> General -> Reset. It was to make sure it wasn't a hardware issue, and it downloaded apps fine, so I repeated the Erase and restored my iCloud backup. And voílà, after 4-5 hours of app downloads (I have HUNDREDS of apps, your restore may not take as long), I'm back up and running, able to download apps and iTunes songs/podcasts.
    Steps:
    1. Backup to iCloud BEFORE you do this if you already have your apps and folders set up just how you like them
    2. Go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase all contents and settings
    3. On startup, choose "Restore from iCloud backup", or "Set up as new iPad" if you don't wish to use a backup
It really is MUCH less painfu than I ever thought a wipe and repeat setup would be, thanks to the magic of iCloud backups! Good luck.

  • IPad apps show waiting but nothing happening? Anyone know why

Ipad3 apps show waiting but nothing is happening does anyone know why or what to do

This can happen from time to time. Something is clogging the download queue on your iPad. See if one of these suggestions helps you get this sorted out.
    1. Tap the "waiting" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume. If that works, repeat the same steps for each "waiting" icon.
    2. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    3. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
    4. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
    5. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
    6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
    7. If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

Todd, have you "thrown the switch" to tell Palm Desktop to direct the data to Outlook?
    Start Button/All Programs/Palm/PIM Conduit Sync/Sync with Outlook.
You said you're "using the Outlook 2007 Conduit" -- does this mean you installed the Outlook 2007 Update on top of Palm Desktop 6.2.2?  If so, that may be a problem as 6.2.2 comes with 2007 compatibility built into it!
I have read several posts recently where a user made the same mistake, and it caused some problems.  If throwing the switch above does not fix things, I'd uninstall/reinstall Palm Desktop, but do NOT install the Outlook 2007 patch.

  • TS1702 Apps will not download on my iPad they just sit there in waiting mode.  Help

Apps will not down load on my iPad,just sit there in waiting mode. This includes updates.

Your iPad can only update one app at a time.
Two solutions come to mind.  The first may work; the second should certainly work:
    1.  Try clicking on each of the updating apps to get it to the "Paused" state.  Then, one at a time, click on an app which should resume its download, then let it install and complete.  Then go the next app and repeat.
    2.  Reset your iPad.  Hold the home and on/off buttons together for 6 or 7 seconds till the Apple logo appears.  Then, once the iPad is reset, start the process to get one app at a time downloaded and installed.

    6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.

  • HT4623 After requesting updates for several apps on my ipad 2, yesterday, the screen image of the app continues to say "waiting." Each app is stuck in waiting mode. help

Yesterday, I was updating several apps in the app updates section in the app store icon. I requested update for Facebook and two other apps. Now those apps are stuck or frozen. Under the icon on the screen it says, "waiting." On the store app page screen, it says, "instaling." I cannot get into either of those apps. What do I need to do to unfreeze my facebook and the other app? Thanks, gracefromok

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
    If that doesn't work:
    •  Log out of your iTunes store account.  Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
    • Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
    • After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

  • Every app install results in the "waiting" mode on my home screen.   How can I complete the install process?

Every attempted app installation results in the "waiting" mode icon on my home screen.   How can I complete the install process?   What am I missing?

    Hi,
    1) Forget downloading the application from the device, and instead download it through iTunes and sync to transfer the application to your iPhone / iPad.
    2) Other way is: Go to Application Settings> Store and tap above the Apple ID to sign out. Restart your iPhone / iPad, go back to Settings> Store and sign. Tap the icon that was waiting to update the application.
