Ipad back-up in itunes help?

when i back up a ipad does the back up contain all document files such as each note in the "note" application, or each days entries in a "calander" app mainly will my personal information be backed up?

This page has info about backups, and lists what is included in them : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4946 . It says that it includes Notes as well as Calendar accounts and events.

How do I move itunes library from my ipad back to my itunes library in my windows computer ? All the songs got transfered by mistake from my windows itunes library to my ipad. All i had wanted to do was to move a select # of songs newly purchased from my ipad to my ipod but I got mixed up. Before i knew it all teh library had been moved to my ipad? HELP!

You don't have to move the songs back into iTunes if you don't want to, the songs are still in iTunes on your computer - you just copied a version of the songs onto the iPad from iTunes.
If you want to remove them from the device itself, just swipe across the song while you are in song list mode in the music app and a red delete button will pop up. You can also tap and hold down on a playlist or a album icon and the X to delete will pop up. It will not work for Genius playlists.
You can also connect the iPad to the computer, launch iTunes, select the iPad on the left side, click on the Music Tab on the right, uncheck all of the music that you want to remove, click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes, and that will remove the songs from the iPad.

How do I sync music on iPad *back* to an iTunes library on a Mac?

Dear folks,
My iPad has an assortment of (legal!) music on it from a variety of sources, manually transferred in. I'd like to port that back to a single library in iTunes on my desktop Mac so that I have a backup of my music library as it exists on the iPad in case of loss (heaven forbid) or having to reset the iPad (which has already happened once!)
Is there a way to do this, either with the normal iTunes tools or via an app from the App Store?

Connect your iPad to iTunes, go to the TV Shows tab of your iTunes sync settings, uncheck the ones you no longer want on your iPad and sync to remove them.

Lost my music because i thought it was backed up on itunes help

I've acquired most of my music threw CD's that i have owned over the years. I had my music on my old desk top and i synced it to my itouch. well in that time i have acquired a few more CD's a new computer and an iphone which i now use. So once i got my iphone i gave my mom my old itouch for Christmas (moving all my music from my itouch to my iphone in the process). The reason i cleared the music is because i thought i backed the music up on my new computer while transferring it to my new computer. well now I'm going on a vacation to a place with a lot of theft and i figured i would plug in my old mp3 player and sync it w/ itunes. That didn't work. i then decided to back up my songs onto my computer not using itunes. I believe i accidentally corrupted the files because my computer "stopped responding". so now itunes has all my old music but w/ a ! mark by it and i have no were to locate my old music from. What do you think is the best way to at least get my music back on my iphone. i don't even care about the mp3 player anymore

Unfortunately, I don't fully understand your question, but gather it is something to do with a backup in iCloud. The part that I don't understand is the iPhone 3G is not capable of running iCloud. Am I missing something here.

IPad 2 deleted all of my contacts, when I run the Dr. Fone software it shows they are still on my iPad 2 but it costs 60-70 dollars. Is there another way to retrieve them? They were not backed up on Itunes like I thought they were. Please help!!

Recover software as you have described is pretty much your only option - keep in mind that if wait, some of the currently recoverable data may well be over-written and lost.

Have you tried using Find My iPad on a computer to remote wipe your iPad?

I just had to have my toshiba laptop hard drive replaced and I am unable to move my itunes library from my ipad back to the laptop. It says it is linked to another library and I can only transfer purchased music etc and not the rest of the library.Help!

You need to transfer the iTunes Library from the most recent backup you made before the hard drive was replaced.
You can't transfer the full iTunes Library from the iPad back to iTunes.
There are third-party Windows applications that will transfer data from an iOS device, but they don't re-create the iTunes Library exactly as it was before.

When you reset, they were wiped out as well. Will need to redownload. Check the Purchased section where they should be found to download without any additional cost.

You don't get a sidebar in the iTunes app on the iPad. Your downloaded and synced music, audiobooks and audio podcasts will be in the Music app and your videos and TV shows will be in the Videos app - the iTunes app on the iPad is just the iTunes store.

Ipad wont connect to itunes because itunes says itunes stopped working looking for fix, it will fully back up but when it is trying to sync purchased or digital copys of movies it locks up. i have restored ipad and removed itunes and reinstalled. any help

ipad will get to step 4 of syncing which is movies transfer to ipad than it says itunes shut down. i have wiped ipad, and reinstall itunes. this hasnt fixed. please offer suggestions

Is there a way to link or create a widget that links back to the iTunes U app on your iPad from your iBook?
I have already found the Apple Widget Builder (http://widgets.itunes.apple.com/builder/) and that works fine if you want to link to the "App Store", but I want to know if there is a way to "open an app" that is already installed on the iPad instead of double tapping the home button to switch between apps. (I know using the home button is very simple, but I am trying to find an even easier way to just "tap a widget" or "link" that will open iTunes U right up) I am only asking if this is possible for people who may have a hard time running an iPad at the beginning.

I appreciate your help, but I had already looked at LinkMaker and I thought that was my answer, but as far as I could tell that still only links to an app in the app store. Yes it will link to iTunes U in the app store and you can then hit Open, but that is too drawn out of a process. We would like to know a way to just open the app directly.

Im trying to set my ipad back to its factory settings and in doing so Itunes seems to be unable to activate it. It says "We're sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation at this time" which makes no complete sense to me. Any thoughts?

I recently got this Ipad2 in hopes for a working device. I had originally stated it up by syncing it on my sisters pc but by doing so the app store on the Ipad automatically gave me her husbands Apple ID instead of my own. I'm well aware that by syncing with her Itunes library something like this may have come as a result of it. So, I took it home and tried reseting it to its factory settings so that I was able to put up my own Apple ID and download some fun and helpful apps. I connected it to my notebook and had Itunes reset it which made it download something that took more than half an hour to do. It had told me that once it was done downloading this it would automaticlly set the Ipad back to its original state. It did no such thing. Now im trying to start the thing up and Itunes keeps telling me its unable to do so at this time. If you have had a similar situation and know of a possible solution please respond to my question. Much appreciated.
