Ipad plays songs slow

My purchased Ipad songs are playing slow and now that I have synced with my other devices, the other devices are now slow as well...anyone have a solution...

The speed of the songs is actually off slightly which i thought odd as well given there are no mechanics. There must be a software issue or setting i need to change. I have upgraded to the latest itunes version, done the reboot thing but to no avail...

3rd Generation Nano playing songs slow with static.

I have a 3rd generation Nano and I have noticed that it has been songs a bit weird lately. It is not every song but rather every few songs. What happens is the song slows down with some static too. I equate to a record playing on a slower speed than it should. I am not quite sure what is going on...please help.

The songs were purchased from iTunes therefore I do not believe that they are corrupt. May I ask how a song can be corrupted?
I am assuming that a visit to the Genius Bar is order, correct???

5th gen Nano playing songs slower and with some digital "noise"

Recently I have notice my 5th gen Nano playing songs slowere and with digital "noise" when out speed walking with the pedometer on...anyone experience this and know what could be causing it?

I'm also having this issue. It started on Friday. It slowed down my music towards the middle of the song and if I change the song it is OK for a bit and then it gets the digital noise and slows down again. I have no idea what is causing it. My ipod is less than a year old. I'm going to try and reset it tomorrow I think. The trouble is driving me NUTS.

Help Itunes not playing songs, slow to load

I'm running windows xp on a laptop, and itunes. It is the current version downloaded from mac. The problem is takes about 4 min to actually open itunes. When it finally does, it won't play any songs. I've tried reinstalling it, and tried deleting/updating my song folders. All other programs run smoothly on this computer, what could be wrong??

there may be a few different things going on here (possibly more than one at once).
first let's check the start-up problem:
The problem is takes about 4 min to actually open itunes.
hmmm. have you been disabling any qt processes in your start-up? (i keep seeing that recommended in "speed up your PC" articles, but it will produce odd effects like this with itunes start-up.) see:

boxes checked (in both your itunes and your quicktime). there have been some reports of this causing odd system performance on PCs.

checked, you might want to check to see if any of your drivers are out of date. (excuse the tentative nature of this last suggestion. we're still in the early days of troubleshooting the "system" compatibility mode issues. still not sure precisely what is going on in the background of them.)

ITunes Match is on but IPhone 5 cannot access any songs stored in the iCloud. I have no issues with my IPad playing music stored in the cloud. All settings appear correct. ITunes Match is turned on on my PC. No matter what I do I cannot get get any music even when I try to sync tunes purchased from the IStore.

Is this on a computer or iOS device?
iPods can change the playback speeds, but in iTunes on desktop/laptop, it could be caused by other programs.

Let's double-check your AX's settings...
To set up AirTunes on the AirPort Express Base Station (AX), using the AirPort Admin Utility, connect your computer directly (using an Ethernet cable) to the Ethernet port of the AX, and then, try these settings:
AirPort tab
- Base Station Name: <whatever you wish or use the default>
- Wireless Mode: Join an Existing Wireless Network (Wireless Client)
- Wireless Network: <select your Belkin wireless network>
Music tab
- Enable AirTunes on this base station (checked)
- Enable AirTunes over the Ethernet port (optional)
- iTunes Speaker Name: <whatever you wish>
- iTunes Speaker Password (optional)
In iTunes:
iTunes > Preferences... > Advanced > General
- Look for remote speakers connected with AirTunes (checked)

I have the same problem. Often, the songs worked perfectly fine before, even the previous day! Changing the format does not help either, nor does restoring iPod settings. In another case, a song WILL work after settings are restored, but after a few plays will return to its old state of making the ipod reset.

I've never seen this issue, and I handle many iPads, of all versions. WiFi issues are generally local to the WiFi router - they are not all of the same quality, range, immunity to interference, etc. You have distance, building construction, and the biggie - interference.
At home, I use Apple routers, and have no issues with any of my WiFi enabled devices, computers, mobile devices, etc - even the lowly PeeCees. I have locations where I have Juniper Networks, as well as Aruba, and a few Netgears - all of them work as they should.
The cheaper routers, Linksys, D-Link, Seimens home units, and many other no name devices have caused issues of various kinds, and even connectivity.
I have no idea what Starbucks uses, but I always have a good connection, and I go there nearly every morning and get some work done, as well as play.
You could try changing channels, 2.4 to 5 Gigs, changing locations of the router. I have had to do all of these at one time or another over the many years that I have been a Network Engineer.

Itunes playing songs too slow

Itunes started playing everything slow (about a tone down)
Closed it and restarted logic, checked tempos there - all good
Closed that reopened itunes and everything back to right speed!

Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.

Try A and B
(A) Restart iPad
1. Hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
2. Drag the slider to turn off iPad.
3. Turn iPad back on, hold down the Sleep/Wake until the Apple logo appears
(B) Reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

My iphone still plays songs with lower quality instead of 256kbps

When you turn on iTunes match on your iOS device it should warn you that it is going to delete your songs. You will then need to redownload the ones you want to listen to from the cloud.
