IPad2 memory full of photos, can't delete. Need help, please!
My iPad2 memory is full of photos because of the mistakes I made when downloading pictures from my camera. Pictures have been downloaded multiple times, plus video from my camera and I videoed a recent family reunion for my dad, who is no longer able to travel and see his family. When I tried to sync my iPad through my pc on iTunes it had errors and did not update. Then I started getting messages on my iPad that my memory was full and I needed to delete photos and videos.
I was able to go to photos, select the arrow on the top right, which gave me the delete option and could select pictures which were downloaded on my iPad and delete them. After deleting about 40 pictures, the delete button no longer worked and I can't get it to work again. I have turned off the iPad, selected one pic at a time, several pics, everything I can think of, but no luck. Does anyone have any advice for me? I would be very grateful for your input.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."

Can't use 7.6, can't downgrade, need help, please ASAP
I have tried to use 7.6; it opens the iTunes, window then just sits and spins. When I force quit, everything freezes and I must unplug to restart. I have reinstalled, to no avail.
I've tried to download an older version from oldapps.com and get as far as where to install the software; then it says there are 0 bytes to install. The next window gives me a list of files but they are disabled, so I can go no further.
I am afraid to lose my entire library; I figured I could save/copy it somehow, uninstall iTunes and start over, but I don't know how to do any of this, or if any of this will solve the problem. I'd take just about any older version of iTunes at this point, as long as I can import and burn CD's and sync up my iPod; I am going out of town in a week and I need my music!

in your Music/iTunes folder you will find two files (iTunes Library and iTunes Music Library). you should spare a copy of these files since they are containing your playlist, rating, etc. and you should be safe. still, it is a good practice to also have a backup of all your songs files which are in your iTunes Music folder just in case something happen.
I'm not familiar with dowgrading since I do not beleive in this option more than trying to solve what is happening with the current version unless very special circumstances.
could you be a little more specific first about the OS version you are running and your hardware to verify if you meet the minimum requirements for iTunes 7.6? you need at least 10.3.9, G3 500MHz, 256Mg of RAM. -
When I take a photo it goes to camera roll and my photo stream. This doubles the memory being used. Can I delete the camera roll? This seems pointless to have the same pictures twice. My Photo Stream pictures upload to my PC, so why should I have the same photos in Camera Roll?

No it doesn't double the memory. The Photo Stream image is simply a pointer to what you have in your camera roll.
If you delete pictures from your camera roll, leaving them only in Photo Stream, you will lose those images forever if you don't then pull them out of Photo Stream on another connected device. You can enter the Time Machine restore interface and find files that can be removed from the backup disk itself to conserve space. To do this, select the file(s) and from the Action pop-up menu (gear icon) in the Time Machine Finder window choose "Delete All Backups of...". Be sure to only delete files you are sure you won't need or want to restore later.

That means the hard drive of your computer is full, and you don't have enough free space on your computer, to do what you are trying to do.
You need to clear up space on your computer.
If you hard drive is full, check the following places to ensure they are not holding unwanted data.
- your trash can in the dock
- if you use iPhoto, your trash in iPhoto - launch iPhoto, and select trash in the left hand column. iPhoto has it's own trash, and is often overlooked
- your download folder - finder / home user / downloads - every time you download something, it stores it here. This is often overlooked as well
- do you have more than one user on the computer? If you do, ensure they are needed. If not, delete them, and the contents of their home folders
If you hard drive is very full, you may want to consider the following:
- putting in a newer larger hard drive - (call you local apple store for prices on this)
- deleting data off your computer
- moving data to an external drive - (iPhoto Libraries, iTunes Libraries or iMovie events, as they are the biggest space hogs) -

I need help please. My Ipod is currently full and I can't seem to delete songs/playlist to make more room. My I pod is set to maually update. I can connect my Ipod and higlight the songs/playlist I want to delete and right click and delete. But the Ipod still says I have the same amount of songs on it and the same amout of used MB. Ipod Windows XPFrom what I understand you are deleting the playlists. THe playlist only organizes the songs you have in your library. This will not delete the song from the library. In order to get more space, just click on the small box next to the name of the song (The box will not have a check now). THis way you will have the song on your library but will not be loaded on you ipod.

We want to make sure that we get your phone up and running. Can you look to see where you have the most stuff stored at. Settings>General>Usage>Storage.
This will tell you what exactly is using everything. Then you can delete things from there.

There are text messages that I'm having trouble deleting. With some of my text messages, I can swipe to the left and delete ... or press and hold, get more and delete to trash can icon. But there are some where neither will work. Can't delete. Help!
But once again, I do not want to lose my other texts, app progress, and photos. I could sync the photos but i would still lose the app progress and texts. I would only restore if it was the only option left, but the other space, as already stated, isnt the main concern. The main concern is those 'deleted' texts. If they go, then a good size chunk of the other space goes. I know you CAN delete texts for good. It worked fine before. All i want to know is why its not working for me now, and how to fix it.
I also know that when you delete texts on your iphone, they get marked for deletion, however they stay on your device (thats why they show up when you search for them.) then when you sync your device with itunes, the texts marked for deletion should disappear. When i synced they didnt disappear. Thats what i need an explanation/solution for. Why the texts marked for deletion didnt get fully deleted after the sync. -

To turn off auto sync - launch iTunes and go to Edit>Preferences>Devices - check the box at the bottom that says - Prevent iPod, iPhones and iPads from syncing automatically. Click OK and then quit iTunes.
Connect your iDevice to your PC.
Launch iTunes,
Click on the device name on the left side of the iTunes Window.
Click on the Photos Tab in the iTunes window on the right.
Untick all of the photos or albums that you want to remove.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes
If you untick or uncheck the Sync Photos heading and then click Apply it will remove all of the photos from the device when it syncs. In this screenshot - I have only certain albums and events selected to sync. -

Trying to click and drop photos from iPhoto into an Empty SD card. all I am getting isThe item “IMG_0346.JPG” can’t be copied because there isn’t enough free space. Card is 156 MB Photo is 1.56MB. Help please.
Select the photo(s) in iPhoto and export to a desktop folder (file menu ==> export) - see this user tip for export options - then be sure the card is not locked and in the finder verify available space and if it is adaquate drag that folder to it

Do a factory reset .. nothing will be deleted from your backups and you will be able to get access to them again.
The Factory Reset Gen1-4.
Unplug your TC. Hold in reset. and power the TC back on.. without releasing reset for about 10sec. When the status light flashes rapidly; release it.
Be Gentle! Feel the switch click on. It has a positive feel.. add no more pressure after that.
TC will reboot after a couple of minutes with default factory settings and will wipe out previous configurations.
No files are deleted on the hard disk.. No reset of the TC deletes files.. to do that you use erase from the airport utility. -

I have downloaded several books into ibooks. Started reading one and closed it when I was done reading for the day. Now I want to access other books and when I open ibooks it goes directly to that first book. It does not give me the shelf to choose what book I want to read - goes directly to the first book. What can I do? Help please.
There should be a Library button on the top left. If not ap the middle of the screen to get it to appear.

How can I add a new Template to My Templates in Pages? I've read most of the discussions on the subject but it doesn't work for me. By the time I reach the Templates folder, I only see templates for Numbers and not for Pages. Need help, please. Thanks

Ainsi, quand je travaille sur un document, je ne suis pas ralenti par Autosave.
