Iphone 4 slow laggy on IOS7

Hi, First post (never had to complain about updates before until now ) so if i'm wrong on topic move it please.
I have a Iphone 4 (waiting on the iphone5s but my son going to get this one).
I updated to IOS7 and i'm disappointed about the speed!
is there some option to overclock the cpu? without jailbreak?
Is there a patch / option somewhere hidden to shutdown the ugly 3D effect when moving to apps.?
I found on the internet a option named: verminder beweging (reduce movement).
But on the Iphone 4 theres no option like that.
I also think its a bit strange that users are not allowed to enable or disable this.
And is IOS 7 with themes? cant find it but the white is killing alot of peoples eyes (and battery's!).

No not commonly associated with an iOS update, could either be a deteriorating hardware condition or perhaps a botched iOS installation.
Try resetting the iPhone to see if it improves, and if not then escalate your efforts by doing a full restore (i.e. erase) and reload your last backup. If you still have trouble, conceivably your backup could be corrupted, so restoring again and not loading a backup could help (though you'd have to re-do everything and suffer some information loss).

Since I updated my 4S iphone to the latest iOS7 version, I can no longer close any of my apps. As a result, all my apps remain open on my phone. Even powering down and restarting does not solve the problem. Specifically, the icons don't wiggle anymore.

Double tap the Home button, then swop upwards on the App Preview (not the App Icon). Tap the Home button again when done to return to normal screen.

The YouTube app is not included in iOS 6 (I think because the licensing agreement with google ended). You will either need to try one of the YouTube apps from the store (there is an iPhone optimised app from google, and other people have said that they are working on an iPad version), or (if this isn't the version that you have tried) try accessing the mobile version via Safari : http://m.youtube.com (you can create a home screen shortcut for the site)

I've recently updated my iphone 4s with the ios7 update and there was a bug fix I also downloaded recently but I hadn't noticed anything wrong at the time. I know it's not happened that often today but does anyone have any problems with their 'slide to unlock' button and have to reload their iphone again? Do you think there'll be a bug fix for it? Just worried as it's not old and I have a feeling I shouldn't have bothered with the update at all.

Why would you think it's a bug? If it were a bug EVERYONE would be having the same issue.
Basics from the user guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new.

Turn on iMessage on the iPhone.

Slow, laggy, freezing, and looks terrible

So yesterday I updated to the most recent version of Skype for Windows desktop - primarily to fix the stupid issue where you can't change or see group chat pictures in any newly created groups.
And in the new update I find the 'new and improved' version to be incredibly slow, laggy, and occasionally freezes - to say nothing of the UI looking like pure straight unadulterated trash that takes up way too much space and looks like a giant text-messaging window on a phone. Like someone ate nothing but pale blue and white food and then vomited on a screen.

I guess I can only ask "why." I mean, yay, group icons work again (though they never should have broken in the first place.) Bold and italic text, yay (though now with stupid and obtrusive ads.) And now it's constantly slow to load, particularly slow to switch between chats and load history, freezes or crashes, and looks like garbage. I'm just wondering before I go back to the old version, why this would be considered 'new' and 'updated.'
Also, nice of the site to lose this post after I had to log in prior to posting it. You know, most modern and not broken websites with a message board continue on to post the message after prompting you to log in. Sites that aren't crap, that is. Just saying~

I'm having all the same problems you are. It's been MONTHS since the update and they still haven't fixed any of the problems you mentioned. (I just updated. I reverted back to the old version until I got tired of messages pestering me to update) The window is slow to open after being minimized. It freezes for several seconds whenever I switch between chats. It takes forever to load messages. And more.
I can understand them sticking with the ugly interface and all that. But why can't they fix the bugs?

The iTunes App opens but does not show anything! e.g. blank screen only. Tries to connect and sometimes gives message "Cannot connect to iTunes store". I can see top and bottom bar icons like Music, Films, TV, Search which each launch a new blank screen only. I can even get to Purchased option which still gives a blank screen. Have restored twice but result is the same.
Advice welcome.

Discovered the fix to no iTunes due to another separate App problem that locked up after iOS7 upgrade. To fix, goto "Settings", "Safari", "Privacy and Security" and set the "Block Cookies" to "From third parties and advertisers". Exit Settings and restart the iPhone. Works for my blank screen iTunes issue.

Sounds like you may need to re-download the entire albums from iTunes. See this KB article for how to download past purchases: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519.
I'd suggest doing it one album at a time. Delete one, download it from your purchase histor, then the next, etc.
