  • Iphone 6 LTE AND WIFI ISSUE

me and my friend both using iphone 6 but his LTE AND WIFI works smoothly But mine doesn work that well! watching the same video using LTE he can watch but i cant even load the video! WHY? any help?
AT first i was on iso 8  LTE AND WIFI really *** , so i upgraded it to ios 8.0.2  but still the same, and my friend's iphone6 stays in 8 but works fine !
i have reset the network it doesn fix the problem either.

I have this exact same issue with the iPhone 6 Plus. After numerous calls to AppleCare several resets and restore restores from backup, restore as new, and visits to the Genius Bar at the Apple store, Apple dose not appear to have an answer yet. This is happening on all Wi-Fi networks home, Xfinity, Apple Store, and Starbucks. It does not appear to be related to the Wi-Fi network in use. I have been asked to give it a week and see if it gets better but somehow I do not think this is going to work. The Apple Store has even replace my phone and I still experience the same issues.
    What am I missing?

  • IPhone 6 LTE and Wi-FI

Recently bought an iPhone 6 last friday.  I have noticed that the LTE is extremely low.  I downloaded a speed test and incoming and outgoing are both under .5 mbps however wifi seems to be fine.  the one issue with the wifi however is that my phone cannot seem to find the network even thought my computer and iPad both are connected to it and are working perfectly fine on this.  I have tried turning cellular off, restarting the phone, resetting network settings and nothing has been working.

You may want to verify that your home wifi is still working with the iPhone. If you're actually on wifi, you won't use data.
An easy test is to put your phone in airplane mode and turn wifi on.

  • IPhone shows LTE and 4G, but internet not working ?

I got a new iPhone 6 on Friday. After restoring my iPhone from my previous 4S backup (created Thursday before getting the new phone Friday) the phone was working great with the exception of the data. The text and phone calls are working fine. The strangest thing is that the phone says LTE or 4G (if I turn the LTE off), but the data is not working.
Today, after resetting my network settings and getting a new SIM from AT&T I still couldn't get the data working. The only solution I've found was setting up my iPhone as new. When I setup the iPhone as new the data works perfectly fine.
Is this a common issue? Any insight would be gladly appreciated!
    I'm on AT&T. iPhone 6 128GB, purchased from Apple.com.
UPDATE: I found that yesterday my phones text messages were also not working when I was not connected to WiFi. I talked to an Apple rep yesterday as well and he said that if I set it up as a new phone and it was working then something is wrong with my backup.

We went through the efelix help notes ((through a
link someone posted already)) and already did the WEP
    security settings for XP.
The efelix website is my website (it's a mirror of the ifelix website)
The signal has been fading in and out. Is it possible
that the PC is confused by a signal from the base
station and a signal from the express?
Yes this is possible when using WDS as the client connects to the main station and then connects to the remote.
On the main base station turn off allow wireless clients to connect to this base station, so that clients only connect to the remote base station.

  • IPhone 5 Calls and Texts Failing

I have been having this issue since upgrading to an IPhone 5.  This problem is especially frustrating as my husband and daughter use the same carrier (AT&T) and have an Iphone 5S and an Iphone 4S respectively with no problems.  My problem seems to have been exacerbated by the latest update (7.1.2) and affects me the most in or near my home or other rural areas.  I can literally sit and watch them talk away (even if they call the same person I was talking to) but I repeatedly drop to Edge or get  "Call Failed" which is what leads me to believe it is my phone.  I also have to make multiple attempts to send a text message because they often fail also.  I have done everything Apple has asked, including sending them diagnostics info (where the customer service rep claimed she didn't see any of my dropped calls).  I recently "reset the phone as new" and not from a backup,  again with no results (and now no contacts either, woo hoo!).  I have also had my SIM card replaced and reseated twice.  I turn LTE off and Data Roaming off as some forums have suggested.  AT&T has confirmed my account is set up correctly.  I finally started looking into the problem myself, or specifically, looking for the differences between my phone and the others.  The articles I found regarding the first Iphone 5's released is that they did not support the 1700 MHz cell phone frequency used by T-Mobile.  At first I figured that didn't have anything to do with me but when I read more about the people who'd tried to use the first Iphone 5 on T-Mobile their symptoms were the same: multiple call failures and switching straight to Edge (which is 2G) instead of 3G.  I looked at the coverage area maps in my area, and, surprisingly, T-Mobile's signal is stronger near my house than AT&T.  My guess is my family's phones roam to T-Mobile while mine stays with AT&T's lower 2G signal and then drops.  Of course Apple quietly stopped making the Iphone 5 that didn't support 1700 MHz/T-Mobile (Oops!).  I am having trouble posting the link here but here is one of the shorter articles about it:
As you all know by now, T-Mobile will begin offering the iPhone 5 officially from Friday this week (April 12). But, some of you will already have your own iPhones, and could be tempted to switch to the carriers attractive price plans. In years gone by, iPhones haven’t supported the Magenta-flavored 3G/HSPA+ bandwidths, leaving iPhone wielding Tmo customers stuck on a slow EDGE network. With the iPhone 5, it’s changed. There’s a chance that your device is compatible.
If you have an A1428 model iPhone 5, it will connect to T-Mobile’s AWS bands (1700/2100), here’s how to check if yours does:
Go to Settings –> General –>  About.
Check the last 4 digits of your serial number to see if they match these combinations:
    FH19
    FH1C
    FH1D
    FH1F
    FH1G
    FH1H
You can also locate your iPhone 5 box and verify that the label includes “1700/2100″ under the UMTS/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA bands.
I would really be interested to know if those of you having trouble have the "old" Iphone5 like I do (serial numbers that end in other digits, mine ends with DTTN).  Maybe once we present Apple with irrefutable evidence and numbers they will give us the newer version of the phone.  The phone that won't support T-Mobile also won't support many international networks either for those of us that travel internationally.
If not, I guess that's what I get for getting the device early (I usually try not to as there is always some kind of bug).  I just really needed the upgrade as my husband was going to Iraq and could IMessage me over wifi without paying an arm and a leg.
Please let me know if anyone else is having the same problem with the same (older) Iphone 5 (check your serial number against the list above).

It would be worth getting a new SIM, just to see if that helps any. You may want to contact your carrier and have them double-check things with your account.
I know the SIM works on another device, but getting a new one is still worth a shot. Get one, restore your phone as new & try one more time. If still no joy, you may have a defective phone that needs to be replaced.

  • HT201529 I bought my iPhone from Verizon and having their service.  Does my iphone has a default SIM PIN?

I bought my iPhone from Verizon and having their service.  Does my iphone has a default SIM PIN?

The 4G LTE SIM card in your device contains information about your plan, device and more. You can set a SIM PIN so others won’t be able to access that information if your SIM card is removed from your device.
If you remove your SIM card and insert it another device (e.g., when you upgrade to a new device), you’ll be asked for the SIM card PIN. You can find your SIM card PIN in My Verizon if you’ve forgotten it. Or, if you’ve entered your SIM card PIN unsuccessfully 3 times, you’ll need the PIN Unblocking Key (PUK) to unlock your SIM card again. After using the PUK, you’ll need to create a new PIN for your SIM card if you want to secure it again.
To locate the SIM PIN / PUK numbers for your 4G LTE SIM card:
Navigate to the Overview page in My Verizon.
Click My PIN and Unblocking Key (PUK) under About My Device.
Your default PIN and PUK will be displayed in a pop-up window.
Click Close when you’re finished to return to the My Verizon Overview page.
You’ve successfully located your SIM PIN and PUK.

  • Iphone 5 LTE after updating to iOS 8.0.2

hello. i wave a small question. i have iphone 5 ios 8.0.2, my wife have iphone 5c ios 8.0.2. we are in st louis right now, she has LTE signal all the time, i never. we both using at&t. is this because of the difference of the iphones modems/antennas/etc?

Well, you can try a reset on the phone. Hold the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. This will not affect your content. If that doesn't help, before you do any further user troubleshooting steps, I would contact AT&T, check your account, and see if they would replace your SIM if you show them you are not getting LTE and your wife's phone is, as long as you can get LTE coverage where the AT&T store is.

  • I bought the iPhone 6 yesterday and am having connectivity issues

I bought the iPhone 6 yesterday and over the course of the last 26 hours, I've had issues with my phone connecting to data coverage. I can make phone calls and send texts but my most used apps (Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, even the App Store) won't load because they can't connect. Shutting down and restarting the phone has resolved the issue but I don't think that's a suitable resolution long-term. The phone does display that I have 3 bars (or dots in the case of the iPhone 6) and shows "LTE" but the phone doesn't actually connect. Any suggestions/help? Thanks.

        Krallas,
That is very strange behavior for this new phone to have, but don't worry, ok? We'll help you get it fixed. Please go ahead and turn the phone all the way off. Then remove the SIM card for at least 30 seconds, replace it, and turn the phone back on. That may just do it for you!

  • Can،t get contact my iPhone to computer and there is no service

can،t get contact my iPhone to computer and there is no service

Not knowing what steps were included in "all the troubleshooting possible with Apple people," I'll suggest you give the phone a chance to reprovision your cellular account.
First turn off Wi-Fi. Then power off your phone. Hold the Sleep/Wake button until you see the power off slider. Then slide to power off. Turn the phone back on. After the phone starts watch to see if No Serive is displayed. Hopefully after 15-30 seconds that will change to the name of your cellular service provider and finally indicate LTE or 4G as well as include some dots indicating signal strength. You can then turn Wi-Fi back on.

  • If i buy an iphone in Australia and it is unlocked, can i use it in the uk with a uk sim?

if i buy an iphone in Australia and it is unlocked, can i use it in the uk with a uk sim?

Depends on model for LTE(4G) see this list
    http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/
As long as you buy direct from an Apple Store is should not be carrier locked and will work on 3G and if say an iPhone 6 then 4G as well
    HOWEVER
You will not have warranty or post warranty service in UK for a Australian sourced iPhone ,the warranty is NOT international

  • Iphone 5 lte only 2 bars

I have the new iPhone 5, I found out that lte signal has only 2 or 3 bars, but if I turn the lte off, 3G has 5 full bars, in the same spot. I don't know if it's a software issue or I have a bad phone. I'm on verizon network in Chicago. I wonder if others have this issue. I'm in a strong lte city.

I'm quite sure that the bars reperesent the signal received for making/receving voice calls and text messaging services. " DC-HSDPA"? correct me if i'm wrong, however I assume receiving LTE signal makes use of the antenna more so than to receive 3G. It seems more cosmetic than anything else.
From speeds of around 80Mbps down/50Mbps up I'd much rather have LTE on 2-3 bars, although I notice in areas where I have LTE and 4-5 bars I get much faster download speeds.

  • IPhone 5 LTE problem

Hello, guys i got an iPone 5 just recently and my iPhone's LTE keeps cutting in and out like it will stay on if imam standing still but when I move and stuff like that it just goes to 3G. • Iphone 5  LTE (4G) isNow working in Sri Lanka

    Apple
iphone 5  LTE (4G) is NOW working in Sri Lanka

There are no supported carriers at all in Sri Lanka, much less carriers that support LTE on the iPhone there.
You can't overcome this until your carrier has their LTE network tested and certified as compatilbe by Apple and a carrier update is issued to support it.

  • EDGE speeds on latest iPhones (4S/5 and up)

Why are the EDGE speeds on the latest iPhones / iOS iterations so slow? In the areas I remember used to have decent EDGE speeds now it goes as low as 10-12 kbits/second. After all, for the first iPhone EDGE was enough to be called revolutionary internet communicator, but with my iPhone 5c I hardly can even update the email when on EDGE. Is it really to do with the network or is it a bug in the iOS?

By today's LTE and 3G standards, EDGE can appear to be nearly unusable, even for email. But coming from GPRS transmissions speeds, EDGE seemed like a miracle. Hard to say what the problem is without knowing more about your connection, but 10-12 kbits/s is not unusual for older EDGE standards. As mobile operators continue to move toward LTE and other "4G" technologies, there is no interest in updating 2G equipment and software. It may be you're on a cell that is simply slow.
Move to a location that you're sure connects you to a different cell and try again. You can also try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears. See if that improves things at all.
One final option is to reset network settings in Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
