IPhone 6 unlocks but the homescreen wont appear
Hopefully someone can help me...
I have an iPhone 6 128gb running 8.1 and my issue is that when I unlock my phone using the TouchID my home screen wont show up.
Now I don't update my software because i always wait for bugs to be fixed.. especially since 8.2 BETA is out now..
but nobody has addressed this issue.. does anyone else have this problem or am i just crazy?
BTW my phone screen HAS been replaced by Apple, **** thing shattered a month of having it -___-
This is not a universal iOS 8 issue. I cannot replicate this at all on either an iPhone 5 or iPad 2 running 8.0.2. Have you tried a reset?
You can try resetting your iPhone by simultaneously pressing and holding the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons until you see the Apple Logo. This can take up to 15 seconds so be patient and don't release the buttons until the logo appears. Try again to see if the problem persists.

it turns out that the iPhone 6 and 6 plus model numbers #1459 and #1522 are universal. and both have the CDMA radio enabled. However, Sprint models are still separate as far as i know. i did not test Sprint. but as far as AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, go , it is the EXACT same phone. i was playing around with my iPhone 6 on launch day. i wanted to see if "ask maggie" was right and the phone was locked to a specific carrier. i tried the T-Mobile and AT&T sims that i had. they do not have service.
however when i inserted my LIVE and ACTIVATED Verizon Sim into my iPhone 6 , my iPhone suddenly became a verizon iPhone. i was able to Place and Receive calls using CDMA, i was able to use DATA services, and i was able to send SMS messages. i assumed that VoLTE was not enabled. and it was not. i assumed
that you had to buy a Verizon model to get Volte. but i was wrong. it just took a while to activate. and i did see use VoLTE in settings, for Voice and DATA
however, since the IMEI and MEID serial numbers are not listed with Verizon, you are not able to either Sign up to verizon, or to transfer service to your new iPhone 6. your service is still tied to your SIM card. and when the iPhone 6 is running and active with your sim card, your device listed on "MY Verizon" will be shown as NON VZW device and it will only show the sim card. but a pre-activated sim card pulling from another device will work in the iPhone 6.
this is just like the iPad Air and the iPad Mini Retina. the only difference between these phones is the serial number is put in some list that tells someone which
carrier it supposed to belong to, and if it is locked or not. and which sim card came with the device. other then that. there are no technical differences between them. except for sprint of course.
whenever i inserted a new sim card into the iPhone 6, it automatically got carrier settings and changed its baseband.the iPhones 5, 5c and 5s, were all shipped with CDMA disabled in GSM iPhones. this is the first iPhone ever to come out where the CDMA radio was not disabled. that is why i posted this thread. because a lot of people assume that the CDMA is still disabled and they are repeating things from previous models of the iPhone, without bothering to check. if i have offended you by wanting to post a message so more people would know what exactly that LTE page says then I apologize. Heck, I'm seeing a lot of web pages like modern reader that are still telling people they have to wait a few months for apple to release the unlocked iPhones.

the iPhone 6 sees your sim card and as long as its unlocked, downloads the new baseband on the fly. i don't know if this is a new feature
with all the viral news about bend gate, i don't understand why you seem to want to criticize my positive post and suggesting that apple gives away this information. with all the bad news about bend gate and 8.0.1 bugs. its very hard for a single person like me to get a positive iPhone experience out and offer iPhone tips.
when the iPad air and iPad mini retina came out, the universal support of T-Mobile - Verizon - AT&T and even sprint (under some circumstances) was big news. but now that we have bend gate and iOS 8.0.1 and bloggers who are just copying and pasting what the other blog says. no one seems to notice that the CDMA is turned on. -
My iphone 4 works but the screen wont turn on, whats wrong
My phonw got wet and the screen was cracked. so i thought the screen mustve gone bad or something so i bought a new screen and got it replaced. Now the whole phone is working like i can hear the messages come in and everythin but the screen just isnt turning on. I really need to know whats wrong with the d phone? Also i knew it was wet so i left the phone in rice for 2 days and then got the screen replaced.
try holding and pressing the sleep button and home button together for a few seconds and see if there will be any change in the screen and apple logo should appear after 10 seconds or so if not i guess its a problem with the screen itself maybe darkened pixels or maybe a wire is cut off

I recently purchased songs from my iphone. All good... But I then went to put them on my ipod touch. They seemed to have downloaded but the songs wont play and the song title/the text, appears in a grey colour and there is a downlaod symbol in front of the song title. what do i do next?? They play on my iphone and from the itunes library but not from my ipod touch.
If the songs are still on your ipod, make sure autosync is disabled in iTunes on your computer, connect and right click on it in the device list, then choose "transfer purchases" to copy all bought media and apps from your ipod to your computer.
If the songs are not on your computer and got deleted from your ipod as well, you can't get them back, unless you have a backup of your iTunes library as part of your computer backup. -

i've lost my iphone with passcode lock and find my iphone lock on but the wifi n cellular data was turned off so no way i can trace it so the only question remains is will the person who finds it be able to unlock it and use it as his own ?

The phone will only show it's location if it is connected to cellular network or Wi-Fi. If those options are switched off, you can't locate the phone.

Iphone 4 will not unlock but the same portion of the screen is active using SMS or any other feature. What is the issue?
It won't recognise it at all, but luckily I backed up very recently.
I've booked an appointment with an Apple store who promise a working iPhone within 10 minutes of your appointment, whether fixed or a brand new iPhone.

I was given an iphone 4 (unlocked) in the UK, but despite my service provider changing the sim I'm still getting no service. Is ther something else that could be locked to a UK network on the phone? Cheers, Ray.
Expanding on what Tim said to make sure it's clear, only the carrier to which the iPhone is locked can authorize unlocking. If Optus is the original carrier, as would seem to be the case, O2 would not be able to unlock it. Only Optus can authorize the unlock, so you'll need to contact them. They say, though, that only the account holder can apply for unlocking, so you might not be able to get it unlocked and will have to work through the person from whom you bought the iPhone.

i tied to sync my ipod to the itunes but, the apps wont sync it just says the apps will be replaced with the ones on the itunes library,but there isnt any apps on there, i deleted all the apps after i use to use the library for my old iphone helpp, the ipod used to be synced with a another i tunes libary that i have deleted now

You can only sync with one ITunes library. It you switch iTunes library iTunes will erase the iPod and replace it contents with what is in the library of the new computer. -
Im really confused. My ipod was giving the 13019 error message. I followed the steps, and it stopped giving me the error code but my music wont appear on my ipod. Any suggestions? Please help
Are you saying that the "Music" app is not present on your iPod Touch? Perhaps there is an issue with the restrictions on the iPod? If you're absolutely sure that the Music app is not present I would consider creating a backup of your iPod after syncing it with iTunes. I would then consider restoring it if this is the case.

hi, i woke up nd my device will not turn on . ive tried the home and unlock button, my phones on a charger also but the battery wont pop up. just a black screen. What do i do ?
Leave it alone for an hour and try the reset procedure again. Make sure you're using a genuine Apple charger & cable in a known good wall outlet. You can also try another cable if necessary, and make sure the charging area is clean and free of fluff & debris.

When I try to log onto my Apple ID to use facetime, it will not work and tells me to check my connection. I have even tried creating a new apple ID but the same message appears. I do not understand why this is happening, could anyone help me resolve this issue it is very frusterating that I can not enable facetime or imessage.
I could do that, however when I select the icloud button (or whatever the heck it is) I am asked to enter the apple id and password. So if you are suppose to create another one for icloud you'd think it would give you the option at this point which would be logical.
