IPhone: Embed mp3 / UIWebView

Hi all,
Embed tags in the HTML of pages loaded into UIWebView's do not function. It simply shows a broken quicktime icon and will not launch the media player once tapped. The paths to the videos are absolute URLs and I have verified that the URLs are correct and can be opened with any web browser.
The same webpage when opened in mobile safari has no problem showing the embed tag with it's custom poster frame and will display the video when it is tapped.
Any way around this?

DW CS4 cannot embed mp3 files

I want to embed mp3 files in my web pages. I go to Insert/Media/Plugin and select an mp3 files from the box that appears. The placeholder for the player appears on the appropriate spot on the page. I highlight the placeholder and click on the Play button in property inspector. An error message then appears saying "Unable to find the plugin that handles this media type. Dreamweaver looks in both the Configurations/Plugin folder and the plugin folder for each of your installed browsers". The Config/Plugin folder contains NPSWF32.dll and UnsupportedPlugins.txt (contains npdsplay.dll nppdf.dll). Also when I go to Live view there is a blank space where the player should be. I do not have any problems playing mp3 files with WMP, Real audio or Quicktime which are all installed on my computer.
What must I do?

I got the JVC KW-XR810 at Best Buy.. Only a few of the mass issues but for the most part it plays well... I have found I have the best luck using it in ipod mode instead of headunit or external modes which if you get it you will see what I am referring too.. If you would happen to purchase this unit please contact me after you are familiar with it so maybe we can help each other overcome the common issues everyone is having with all the audio units in any make whether it be aftermarket or the factory radios.. in anything from the cheapest car to the most expensive from what I have read in this thread.. Embed .mp3 in .pdf without controller?

Whenever I embed an .mp3 in an interactive .pdf, a gray "controller" box appears as soon as the sound is triggered. And once the sound is triggered, the box cannot be made to go away without closing and reopening the pdf. I have no use at all for these things. I feel like I should be able to include interactive audio in a document without being forced to have these unhelpful controllers cluttering up my carefully-designed documents. (I mean, it's interactive audio; should there really be an obligatory visual component?)
Am I missing something? There doesn't seem to be any way to "turn these things off." Any help would be appreciated!

It could be some type of font incompatability between your PC and your Mac. Most OTF's ( Open Type Fonts ) are compatable with both the PC and the Mac, but it may be a good idea to find out which font is suspect and replace it with a new, Mac version ( license ). And, yes, for some reason, a font or two may not have been activated when you copied it over to your Mac. I would think Distiller would be blind to font issues and RIP your file anyway, but again, if the font was never copied over or activated because of a license issue, then Distiller may just substitute the font(s). It may be a good idea to match all of your previous PC fonts with new Mac versions. And no, Distiller is not involved when you save-to-PDF in Ai. The last time I checked, Distiller is / was a stand-alone application for creating PDF's. Why not try using Distiller to see what happens? You also have the option to Print > Save as PDF in Illustrator. That's three ways to create a PDF: 1.) Use Acrobat's Distiller, 2.) Illustrator > Save As > Adobe PDF, 3. ) Illustrator > Print > Save as PDF. Also, PC TTF's are not compatable on a Mac ( at least, that's the way I see it ). Have you tried to print a desktop version of the Ai file to see if the font loads in your print driver? If the printer skews the text that carries your font, then you know the font is definitely the problem.

IOS 8 - Iphone 6 + - MP3

I have the same issue. After I updated my iPhone 5 with ios8 my plantronics voyager legend stopped announcing calls and I could no longer answer the phone with the button on the headset. I could only answer with the phone which was extremely inconvenient..
When I got the iPhone 6 I paired my headset to the phone and had the same issues. I thought there was something wrong with the headset so I returned it because I just purchased it approx 2 weeks ago (after returning that stupid LG Tone). When I got the new headset I sat in my car and paired it and had the same issues. I took it back into the store and informed them that the headset doesn't work with the iPhone 6 or ios8... We did a few tests and NO! its not compatible. Now I'm out of a bluetooth headset and I'm forced to use the earbuds....

IPhone Albums - MP3

I have a 3G recently updated to 3.1. I have a lot of my own mp3 music on it (ALL legal copies off CDs). After updating to 3.1 every mp3 track is showing up as an album. I now have over 1000 albums (instead of 5). I have wiped ALL music off iphone three times now and every time I load a mp3 album each track is still showing as an album.

I've the same issue. Any suggestions to fix this are appreciated.

[iPhone] Making a UIWebView scrollable from within a UIScrollView

I'm building an app which consists of a UIScrollView which horizontally scrolls (much like the PageControl sample app), and which contains a UIWebView within each horizontally scrollable pane. Because of the fact that I'm using both of these objects, I'm unable to scroll or magnify the UIWebView.
I have read on the net that there is some sort of interaction between the event handlers of the UIScrollView and the UIWebView when they co-exist which prevents the events from getting to the UIWebView, and I presume that this is what I'm seeing in my app.
Do any of you know of any techniques or tricks which will allow my UIWebView to be scrollable and magnifiable, even when it lives within a UIScrollView?

You can't. Final Cut Express was not designed to edit highly compressed formats.
Use Mpeg Streamclip to convert the h.264 formated clips to AIC (apple intermediate codec) and edit away.
Yes, the material may take a hit, but it will be small and, given the quality of the lens on the phone, probably not all that noticable.
Or, purchase Final Cut X or Premiere Pro. They will work with h.264 format clips without the need to transcode to an all I frame format.

[iPhone] Releasing a UIWebView thats loading

I'm having a bit of a problem here where I have a UIWebView inside of a UIViewController.
Basically what happens is the request starts the load, but if the user clicks back on the navigation bar before the UIWebView is done loading, the app crashes throwing a EXCBADACCESS error when trying to send the delegate notification.
I've set the delegate to nil in my dealloc method, and sent stopLoading to the UIWebView before releasing it, however it still tries to continue to load and then ends up crashing the app once it finishes loading.
Can anyone offer any insight here?

How do i add a mp3 file purchased from amazon to show on my iPhone iTunes library?

i purchased an mp3 file from amazon and added it to my itunes library on the imac. However, when i synced my iphone, the mp3 file (song) does not show on the itunes library. What could I be doing wrong?

1. Right mouse click the song in music library you want to create ringtone and choose “Get Info”
2. Choose “Option” Tab, Check “Start Time” & Stop Time” of the track you want to make into ringtone and put in your start time and end time (Max 40 secs duration), then click OK
3. Right mouse click the mp3 again and choose “Create AAC Version”
4. You will see a copy of song with same name appeared but with 40sec duration only. Now drag the song onto your desktop and you will see the name is now xxxxxx.m4a.
5. Change the file extension m4a into m4r from the desktop
6. Delete the 40sec m4a file from the music library (You must do this step or Itune will not accept your new m4r file).
7. *Important - Now uncheck the start & stop time of the original song so that you can play back full length.
8. Now, drag the m4r file from desktop to Library
9. Click onto the Tones under Library, and you find you ringone file.
Note: Just in case you cannot "Create AAC version" from Step 3, go to top menu, click "Edit", "Preference". Under "general" Tab, click "Import Settings", make sure under Import Using that "AAC Encoder" is selected.

The iPhone supports mp3, but you cannot add them directly to the iPhone without iTunes. Add the mp3 files to iTunes first, then transfer the songs from iTunes to the iPhone.

In that case, the original SIM was not an Orance SIM. You're going to have to find a SIM from the carrier it is locked to or you're not going to be able to use it at all.

Can't get MP3s to work on Flash executable

Hi,
I can't seem to embed mp3s to my flash executable.
Any idea anyone?
Tried everything but it still doesn't work.
Someone told me it should work but even so, it will leave gap when looping.
Is this true? I am really clueless. Please help asap!

ITunes on XP stopped working with my iPhone

While syncing my iPhone (loading mp3s), iTunes suddenly loses contact with the iPhone with the message:

If you deleted the phone from the car, did you delete the car from the phone? If not, make sure they are both deleted from the other, then put both devices in pairing/discover mode. See if they will pair after that.

MP3 Flash player is not working in webpage.

I have a NOKIA 5800 express music set. I have implemented a flash player(for MP3) in my website which is running in normal browser but in my mobile this player is not working..showing NaN error.
