IPhone has double emails
My iPhone has double emails, but the Mac, MobilMe, iPad all have single emails.
This happened after installing Lion.
What should I do to get rid of the double emails. And stop receiving duplicate emails in the future.
what kind of email provider are you using? (gmail, yahoo, comcast) And check your mail settings to make sure mobile me didnt mess up and add your email twice.

My Iphone has family emails that appear randomly when I try to update apps or generally have to log into my account. It comes up as my sister in laws address. She was once connected to our account when she got her phone at first. How can I remove? There are only two other email address's associated with my account and hers was never one of them! My mom and I have Apple devices (she has an iPhone 3G, and I have an iPod touch) .. I noticed that some of her apps require my password to my Apple ID and some of the other apps require her password for her Apple ID. When she first bought the phone, I used my Apple ID to download those apps since she was new to the Apple community. However, whenever she gets new updates, those apps still need my password (even though I've erased my account from her phone). Is there any possible way for her to update all of her apps using only one ID (hers) instead of using mine? It's very troublesome and I don't want to give her my password because she'll only end up losing it.

Note i just discovered something, when i forward my university email to my icloud account and than responded from either my imac of my macbook air (i.e. in icloud) it automatically goes to my university account in the "from" space (good news!!!). That is just what i wanted, . While that is the good news, the bad news is that my iphone and ipad still treat this email as being from icloud even though it is forwarded (redirected) from my university account. That is when i respond to an email (or for that matter create a new email in my icloud account) it automatically lists the icloud account as the "from" account and i have to go in and manually modify it. So i am 50% there to solving my problem (i.e. actually did nothing the systems just worked well) but i still need to figure out a way to make this happen on my ipad and iphone. Any help or suggestions, note the default button in the iphone and ipad for email work differently than the default in the composition menu of the imac or macair.

Hi. I regularly email links from safari (using the share button at the bottom of the safari screen). Also regularly email links from my rrs reader app, and from Twitter. Last week strangely this functionality stopped working -I think it coincided with when I did the latest software update but I'm not certain.
So now when on safari, or reader app I click 'share' and 'email link' (and the email window opens as usual, where I enter recipients name) I click send and the email window closes (as normal, as if email has gone) but in actual fact nothing has gone at all - nothing in sent box, out box or received by recipient.
In the Twitter app, when I open a weblink I get do now at least get an error message when I try to email using the share button within the client (top right of the screen) so I know it's not working but from safari and reader no alert at all.
Can anyone help?Get a new SIM from the carrier. Carrier will associate the contract with it.

It is not your phone that is compromised but your email account. Make sure you change your email password.

My iPhone has recently been crashing (or rather the apps) when I would try to access my text messages, contacts, phonebook, facebook, or email. I tried restarting my phone and lost all of my contacts. This has been happening more and more frequently. Today I was in my pictures and was trying to crop one and my phone shut off completely. Anyone know what's wrong with it or how to fix it?
Make sure all apps are fully closed:
- double tap your home button
- hold your finger on an app
- when the apps start to wiggle press the red "-" button on all the apps
Now do a hard reset:
- hold the home button and the sleeps/wake button down at the same time
- the phone will shut off then when the apple logo ppears release both buttons
If by then your contacts have not been restored you would need to try and retreive them from a back up on itunes/icloud that was made when the contacts were on the phone. You could even stream them from the cloud if they were synced to the cloud. The link beow will show you how to restore from an itunes/icloud back up:

My daughter was updating her iphone to the iOS6 and everything went great. So, she was going to update mine. She used her itunes acct. instead of mine and it downloaded all her music and apps onto my iphone. Now when it asks for me to enter my password, it has her email address. How can I fix this???
plug your iphone into your computer with your itunes account signed in to update it, (if you want your own apps ect.) if all you want to do is change accounts signed in on the iphone than simply open settings and scroll down until you see itunes and app stores touch the apple id tip top and signout, sign yourself in. any apps she has "purschased" that you have not.. i imagine will just cease to work.
if you both share the same contacts, it won't be a big deal, however if you have work and her shcools numbers ect, and she just has mom/dad/buddies you may have double numbers and apps and what not by doing this, so if it does become a mess.. just get on itunes log into your account by clicking the store menu in itunes and going down to the account id on the bottom of that menu and just restore your phone. -
How can I find out this person who has been emailing me every few months. I have one of the emails full header that I retrieved on my iPhone. I omitted my email address for privacy, but mostly it is original. Is this email a scam? I don't know who this person is. Thanks in advance!

Your old ID connects to an icloud account containing all your data (email, contacts, etc.) If you then use a different ID, you will connect to a different account, which results in losing all your "apple" data, like emails, contacts, calendars, etc.
However, Apple IDs are also used to connect to an itunes store account, with is different. You can keep using the old itunes store ID to keep all your purchases (but if you change to a different ID, you will lose all purchased items) and use the new ID for icloud (but losing emails, contacts, etc. from the old account). -
