Iphone in europe help!!
I will be in Spain for 10 days and want to know what the best plan of action is for keeping my expense down while using my iphone. I want to use it ONLY for web connection. Maps, news, etc. General browsing stuff. No phone calls or email at all. Wifi costs,settings, and info greatly appreciated.Thanks!!
When you have an internet connection via wi-fi or the cellular network, it is your choice to select the Mail application or not, but you should turn automatic check for new email to Manual, and if you have an email account that supports Push access, Push access for the account should be turned off.
Data Roaming with the iPhone is turned off by default.
Wi-Fi access there is probably like like it is in the U.S. There are free hotspots such as at hotels for paid guests, and the same at some restaurants. There will be some paid locations with the daily fee fluctuating depending on the location.
If you don't want to place or recieve any calls and the same for SMS, turn Airplane mode on followed by turning wi-fi access on.

Hi, so I have an iphone 5 and I bought it in Canada two weeks before coming to Europe, I'm only here for two weeks but when I turned one my phone in Amsterdam "activation required" on the lock screen then wont let me do anything on the phone, see I've read that iphones made in the US don't seem to work in Europe I'm just worried that if I go back it will do the same. Will it just go back to normal when I go back, or do I have to go in and get it fixed ??

My iphone 5 doesn't sync with itunes on my pc. it says this computer has previously been synced to another io6 device or iphone? please help what to do?
The error message you're seeing is likely the other way around -- i.e. something like "This iPhone has previously been synced with a different computer". There's no problem syncing multiple iOS devices to the same computer.
However, the reverse is not true for the iPhone -- you cannot connect an iPhone to another computer without it being erased, even if you manually manage music and video. So, it sounds like you've been syncing your iPhone to a different computer?
Also, 5.1 (not 5.0.1) is the latest iOS. -

Then you'll have to use another iOS device or Mac running OS X Lion or higher to create a new account for you to use on your phone. If you don't have one, perhaps a friend would allow you to create and account on their device (note: this will use one of their three maximum accounts). To do this, they would need to go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which will delete the account from their device but not from iCloud), then allow you to sign back in with your ID to create the new account. Then tap Delete Account to delete the new account from their device, and finally, sign back in with their iCloud ID to restore their iCloud account to their device. Then you can sign in with your ID on your phone in Settings>iCloud and use the new account.

I am trying to change my apple id Country. but it says " you have a store credit balance, you must spend your balance before you can change it." i don't wanna spend it to change my country. by the way i can't update any of iPhone apps. need help
It's strange because I can change my AppleID country without this message.
So what to do? Just try to do this again, but on another device. You may also erase cookies and history of your browser.

I purchased an audiobook in Nov 2012 using iPhone 4S and then upgraded to iPhone 5 in Dec. Now I am not seeing the audio book in purchase history in iTunes. This means I am not able to get the book in my new iPhone. Please help.
Audiobooks are currently a one-time only download from the store. If you don't have it on your computer (audiobooks go into the Books part of your iTunes library) nor on a backup, then if it's still in the store you can try contacting iTunes support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page

Is there any way to watch a downloaded TV show from iTunes on my iPad without wifi? I have an iPhone if this helps.
If the TV Show is downloaded on your iPad, you don't need Wi-Fi to watch it.

How do I get my music from Media Center to my iphone 4s. Itunes 10.5 won't import the MC music library, and MC won't recognize and synch to the iphone plugged into the USB port so I can't load playlists from MC to my iphone. Itunes help doesn't work.

As you know, your iPhone 5 is not compatible with our iBook G4. To get your music in iTunes from your iBook to your iPhone you would need to migrate the music files to a newer intel based Mac. A Mac which has Mac OS X 10.6 or higher installed. Then sync your iPhone 5. -

Indeed you can. Beware of data roaming, charges, however, where you are charged through the nose for a data connection abroad. Your phone company may sell overseas data plans, or you may consider getting a SIM card for one of the providers of the country you're visiting.
You can turn off data roaming in Settings --> General --> Network --> Turn Data Roaming to 'off'. -

If I understand correctly, you are in Romania and the phone was bought from Sweden. In order to unlock that device, you have to have the carrier in Sweden unlock it. If your phone just won't power on, then wjosten has provided the steps needed to try and power it on. Otherwise, if you want the phone "unlocked" or if it has been "jailbroken" or an unauthorized version of software has been put on the iphone, nobody can help you here.

I just updated itunes and started to update my phone to iSo5 when wireless connection was lost on my laptop, I can't get it back and it says there are no networks available-router is working fine, am using it on my iPhone now. Help!
Reboot your router. You by chance dont have a netgear N300 WNR2000 router do you? I had one of those and would lose wifi on it constantly, Switched to a Cisco wifi router and it works much better.
