IPhoto Crashes all of the time. Attached Error Log. Please help?

Attached is the error log. I've tried creating a new library and running disk utility. iPhoto crashes after a few minutes of use, especially when trying to edit photos. Any advice? The crashing is chronic and has occured for some time now (months).

Can I keep my albums, etc.?
Back up first, just in case, but it shouldn't effect your library.
Make sure the drive is formatted Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
1. Quit iPhoto
2. Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to the External Disk.
3. Hold down the option (or alt) key while launching iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Choose Library' and navigate to the new location. From that point on this will be the default location of your library.
4. Test the library and when you're sure all is well, trash the one on your internal HD to free up space.

Safari (10.5.2) crashes 100% of the time after successfuly logging on .Mac portal.

I've upgraded yesterday night to 10.5.2 and today (while behind an http proxy) I can't get to log in onto .Mac Safari crashes as soon as my login is processed.
Problem Reporter, as always, can't report anything if siting behind am http proxy.
I don't have specific plugins besides the usual QT and Flash players.
    So what now ?
    Thanks

    Hello,
No, it doesn't. I've tried that already.

I notice that Input_Managers is now called Input Methods. I've tried to move all of them away once. No avail!
The crash reporter logs are always identical: EXCBADACCESS SIGBUS with processor eip: 0x92c5817f.
This is as far as I've been today. As 10.5.2 has been out on the street for such a short time, perhaps some better clues will show up on this forum or somewhere else.

  • Windows Server 2012 R2 RDS + User profile Disks + App-V = Explorer.exe crashing all of the time

I have built a new RDS farm on Windows Server 2012 R2 with two Session Hosts and a combined Connect Broker/Web Access server. I had the farm up and running with User Profile Disks and all seemed OK. However, as soon as I installed the App-V 5.0 SP2 RDS
client on the session hosts, the explorer.exe process started crashing for any user logging in via the Web Access site. The process crashes and restarts every five to ten seconds. It's the same for administrators. If they log in via Web Access explorer.exe
crashes, but if they RDP directly to one of the session hosts explorer.exe is fine. If I reboot the session hosts, then the first user to log in via Web Access has a stable desktop session (and appears to have a new profile as well). However, if that user
logs out and back in again, explorer.exe starts crashing again. The only applications I have packaged at the moment are Office 2013 and Firefox.
I tried disabling User Profile Disks, but this caused a whole bunch of other problems and I eventually lost the ability to log in at all via Web Access (errors about the user profile service). As this is a small pre-production environment I completed scrapped
all of the servers and rebuilt from scratch. Again, everything appeared fine until I installed the App-V client, then explorer.exe started crashing repeatedly for all users.
Has anyone come across this issue before? I have tried installing the App-V 5.0 SP2 Hotfix Package 2, but this didn't help. I have read in a few forums that App-V doesn't work very well with User Profile Desks, but I have not heard of this particular issue.
Similarly, SP2 seems to have a lot of problems, so I am going to try removing App-V RDp Client SP2 and installing SP1. I ahev also deleted User Profile Disks for the test users to recreate their profiles, but this didn't help either.
    Any other suggestions welcome!

  • IWeb Crashes ALL of the time

My problems with iWeb are getting worse and worse by the day. I am about to head out to sea again and I don't have time to deal with it. I make some changes I go to save and it crashes. I go to publish and it crashes. I was able to publish if I "published all to .mac" , but now even that doesn't work. I get a publish error for a page that was published months ago and that I had never had trouble with before. Not all the material both text and pictures shows up from my most latest addition. I am at my wits end and don't know what to do. This is becoming very frustrating for me instead of something that used to bring me lots of enjoyment. I have tried everything that has been suggested by this forum, by apple care phone support and by mac geniusus at the mac store. Every time I try something that has been recommended to me, the issues become worse or more issues develop.

I was having a similar 'crash all the time' with iWeb problem. My symptoms were even worse - it would crash immediately after starting the application, with the main screen flashing up for less than a second.
The delete of com.apple.iWeb.plist from the directory stated above sorted it out completely.

  • IPhoto does not retain the names I give photos - please help

When I rename a photo in iPhoto, it will retain the new name and adjust all children copies (e.g. in albums and on facebook sharing page), but when I close the iPhoto program, the new names are erased. I have used the same proceedure before and not had a problem. Any suggestions?

    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

    TD

  • I got sidebar ads all over the websites I visit. Please help!

I accidentally installed a video player, then ads started showing on all of the websites I visit. I then uninstalled the player, but the ads are still there. What can I do to get rid of them? Do I have a virus?

You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
    Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Application Support/VSearch
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "VSearch" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:
    /Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
    /Library/LaunchDaemons/Jack.plist
    /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/Jack
    /System/Library/Frameworks/VSearch.framework
Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
Restart and empty the Trash. Don't try to empty the Trash until you have restarted.
From the Safari menu bar, select
    Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
This trojan is distributed on illegal websites that traffic in pirated movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect much worse to happen in the future.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the DownLite developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. It must be said that this failure of oversight is inexcusable and has seriously compromised the value of Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You cannot rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
    Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • Safari crashes all of the time?

Often, at least 2-3 times a day, Safari simply shuts down as I'm working.  I've tried deleting history and caches with no luck.  Any suggestions?

Doulbe tap the home button to see the task bar. Isnthere much there?  If so, clean it out by touching and holding one of those icons until they jiggle, then delete tham all by touching the minus sign.
Do you have a lot of tabs open in safari?
Ios is supposed to manage memory on its own, but some web stuff uses an awful lot of resources, and sometimes it gats ahead of the pad.   other apps, like comic readers, high graphics apps, and some games can add to the load.
Then reboot, and see if it is acting any better.

  • Why is My MAC crashing all of the time?

Since installing Mavericks back when it was launched, I have had no end of troubles. My Mac just keeps freezing, then 3 seconds later its restarts. I thought at first, not being very in the know, that I was using up all the memory and it couldn't cope, however I have just upgraded the memory and im still having the same problems. Here is the error report. If anyone has any ideas, I would really appreciate it!

  • Speed grade crashing all of the time!! Arg

    Hi,
I have tried so many ways around this but I'm running on CC and the direct link from PP to SG just crashes. Opening SG and then accessing PP crashes - allocation of RAM doesnt seem to help and setting on the graphics card doesn't either. I have high spec machine that should easily deal with these programs. any ideas Adobe? P.S Your support chat is taking forever.

It's interesting that I can open all these web sites with Internet Explorer without any problems!!!

  • Firefox is crashing all of the time in the last 3 days. I can't open a single web site even Google. Please, fix that issue because I don't want to switch to the Internet Explorer!!!

The graphic is partially shown. You can see only text and you can't orient yourself.

  • Response time for Error Messages - Please Help

    Hi
I have a PRO C application talking to an Oracle database.
The Response time for successful query is within desirable limits.
But when there is a error condition (eg SQLError -3113,or connection refused) it takes more than 9 minutes for the database to respond with the error code.
This condition is observed with only one database while the others are working fine.
What is the reason for this? Can’t it be reduced?
    Regards
    David

ever been faced with the same problem ?
Why deleting ? It that only one way to fix this problem ?
What are the others doing in such cases. Or am I the only one person
where has this special problem on the world. Becides I dont believe
in solving the problem through removing mentioned directory and
reinstalling. Nevertheless I will try it. I let you know about the result.
    bye
