IPhoto not responding on iPad Air after Dropbox import

Hello!
I just bought my new iPad Air, unfortunately iphoto is not working! After importing a picture from the Dropbox App, iphoto freezes, no actions possible.
I tried to restart and to reinstall iphoto twice, only effect after reinstall is that the starting screen appears, but freezes again after clicking continue.
Any ideas what to do? If possible I want to avoid to reset the ipad. To work on my photos is extremely important to me.

After importing a picture from the Dropbox App, iphoto freezes, no actions possible.
You need to get that picture from the camera roll.
Can you access the camera roll from your Photos.app, to delete the recent downloads?
If you have a computer, download the contents of your camera roll first to a computer to back it up.
If deleting the recent photos does not help, check, if you missed something from this general trouble shooting guide:

If all fails, restore your device from a backup you made before you downloaded the problematic photo:

    One thing you can try is to reset (reboot) the iPad.  Hold both the Home and Sleep buttons for several seconds until the Apple logo appears.  Ignore the "Slide to power off" arrow.  The iPad will restart in a couple of minutes.  Resetting this way will not hurt anything, and sometimes clears up mysterious problems.
    If the Apple logo never appears, you may have a broken button.  If your iPad is less than a year old and still in warranty. Apple should repair or replace it.  If it is convenient, show it to an Apple Store Genius.  Otherwise, look for a nearby Authorized Apple Repair Center.

    I have purchased my Ipad air in February 2014 and created my apple id on the same date, downloaded iphoto for free. But now when i created my new apple id iphoto was not free. Every other apple app like imovie is still free but not iphoto. Why is this happening?

    Why did you change your Apple ID?

    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. What were you doing when the problem arose?
    - Did it ever work properly?
    - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    Anything else you can think of that might allow someone else to understand your issue.
    With this kind of information somebody can develop a starting point for troubleshooting the issue.

    My new Apple TV will not recognize my iPad Air or Air 2, but will recognize all other devices in the house (iPhone 5c, 5s,  6, iPad mini, MacBook, etc).  What am I missing that the new Airs will not connect? All software is up to date. they are on same network.

    Try the following steps, check whether things are working after each step where appropriate, before trying the next.
    Check AirPlay is turned on on the Apple TV (turn it off and on if it already is)
    Check that both devices are on the same network (Settings > Wifi, on the mobile device and Settings > General > Network, on the Apple TV).
    Restart the Apple TV (Settings > General > Restart).
    Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    Restart your router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    Restart your mobile device.

    Are you saying that when you receive an email that has a photo attached you cannot see it in the Msil app?
    Try quitting the mail app and then reset the iPad.
    Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

    I am experiencing painfully slow wifi response on my iPad Air after converting to iOS8.  I tried disabling the WiFi Networking setting under System Services and even did a "Reset Network Settings".  All to no avail.

    I changed the DNS settings on the iPad Air Wi-Fi settings to Google DNS 8.8.8.8
    It helped but this morning I've noticed Safari webpage not opening...

    I experienced the same thing and returned the device to the shop where i bought it, while still having the warranty.

    What do you mean it won't hook up to iTunes? you mean iTunes does not recognize the device? If that's what you mean, one of these might be helpful.

    MMine has not been working ever since ios8 update. Apple blamed a game I have on the iPad, however this problem occurs on all apps including apple own brand.
