IPOD SHUFFLE I NEED HELP! I WOULD LOVE U 4EVERRR

Apple so far has owned me up the ***
I had a IPod 3rd gen and its about the worst an ipod can get.
Cant charge sometimes, cant coonnect sometimes. its horrible.
Then i GOt a shuffle from a freind but he said there might
be a problem.
The problem is horrible.
it cant be reconized on itunes! I have followed some indtruction from other people. But it isnt working.
I cant even restore it!?
updater sometimes wont even reconize the ipod. Out of the 10 times i did it, only beeen rconized twice. And once i press
update. second time i pressed restore but didnt work "disk error" film something. and most of the time it says can't mount ipod.
I think my comp reconizes it, but when i go to my comp and try to open the ipod. It says error or say there isnt anything in it.
I really need help. Hopefully some apple maintenece peeps read how their products are breaking down. Since i got the ipod from a freind i dont have receipt. HELP HELP HELP

That being said I can't power down my iPod. I need help, I don't know what to do! Could you tell me how I can power down my iPod or how I can fix the slowness and the shutting down of the apps.

- Periodically double click the home button and close all the apps in the recently used dock. Then power off and then back on the iPod. This frees up memory. The 4G only has 256 MB of memory.
- Next, reset the iPod
To reset the iPod without the hardware buttons,
Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. All your wifi and bluetooth preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected. You will have to rejoin wifi networks and repair BT devices
Then you can try:
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

What happens when you try? Error message?
To activate you have to enter the ID and password last used for Settings>iCloud. In most cases the Apple ID is used for Settings>iCloud but not always.

Sorry, but it's not. The only way to get this to work is to only put the one hour song on your Shuffle.

IPod Shuffle 2nd generation HELP NEEDED !!!

I have an iPod shuffle 2nd generation, the years suppoort is up and apple have done their best to drop me when all I really need is some technical know how not a huge overhaul of my iPod shuffle! And so here I am my last resort to try and sort this very frustrating issue out.
Basically I loaded my suffle with songs and gave it to my girlfriend as a gift. We plugged it into the car (via usb) worked fine also the HD ready TV via the usb docking bay it comes with no problem!!! Sounds lovely so far, but alas the gadget was loved but not the music.
So we plugged it into my girlfriends laptop, loaded with music in iTunes (latest version). Synced it with this pc and reloaded the music from her laptop. Sounds easy so far but from then on it wont play in the car via usb or the TV!!!! This is so annoying and frustrating so typical of apple in my opinion! I have reset and restored the device umpteen times via iTunes even downloaded the restore software and ran it as an XP proggy as apple hasnt updated it to later versions of windows and still it wont work. The car says its an empty USB yet it plays fine in the car via the 3.5 jack but of coarse we loose all the functionality of the built in car audio control on the wheel etc! And using the device by taking eyes of the road could be disatrous for the misses! The TV shows iTunes folder, Music folder even 3 extra folders F0,0 F01 and F02 but all are empty according to it! But in iTunes obviously the shuffle is full and loaded and it plays fine via the jack plug!
And so can anyone help shed light why it worked fine through the USB bay supplied with the iPod in the car and the TV until we reassociated with another PC with latest version of iTunes installed. Can this be fixed! Or is it yet another Apple annomoly never to be fixed and brushed under the carpet of rotten cores!
We both run latest version of windows 7 ultimate with latest version download from apple of iTunes.

I have now got a ipod shuffle as well as my ipod video but need help

Hi there I already had a ipod video and have it all set up so that when i plug my video ipod itunes updates. But now i have a ipod shuffle and am confused how to make it work properly with itunes. Itunes has 30gig woorth of music which is for my video ipod. My new shuffle only has 512meg space. So when I want to add new songs without messing up my ipod video stuff. Please can someone help me sort this out. I want itunes to continue updating my video ipod but i only want to choose a few albums to go on ipod shuffle. How do I do this.

The shuffle acts a LOT differently than your video iPod.
I have mine set up to stay in the iTunes source list. I manually drag songs over to it.

IPod Shuffle - strange problem HELP!!!!

few days ago my iPod shuffle suddenly stopped playing. In the first place I thought it was a battery. But after over a 8hrs of charging, restoring software etc. it looks like that: after sliding the button into one of the two play modes only the battery led lights up green, but the bigger led in the front doesn't give any sign of life.
It doesn't react to pressing Play/Pause button, once it did actually play, but for mayba a quather of second. Other time - i saw a green and orange light blinking vely dimmly for about 0.5 seconds and then nothing happened.
What could be the problem?

Can't update ipod...need help asap!

Help!!! My computer was sent to get fixed and because some stuff was reformatted, I am unable to use certain programs....most importantly, I am unable to update my ipod which I need to do in the next day. Unfortunately, I will not be home where the software is for about three weeks. When I attempt to plug in my ipod to update the songs, the hardware isn't recognized. Is there anything I can do to get it working?
If desperate I may be able to use someone else's software but will that work or do I need to use the one that came with my particular ipod?

unfortunately this didn't solve my problem. from the little i know, i think the problem is that my entire hard drive was transferred while fixing my computer, and because they were temporarily relocated, that somehow tampered with all of my files, causing many to need to be reinstalled. my problem is that i do not have any of the software needed.
