Hi alejandritonv,
Welcome to the Apple Discussions Forum!
No, just sync them normally, as you would do with your current iPod Touch! You can install them on as many devices as you want!
Hope this helps!

How to send my iPod touch application to my iPad 2

Download the app again in the Purchased tab of the app store on the iPad. You can download the apps again for free as long as you use the same Apple ID.
If the apps are in your iTunes library on your computer - Sync with iTunes.
Connect the iPad to the computer and launch iTunes.
Click on the iPad name on the left side under devices.
Click on the Apps Tab on the right.
Click on all of the apps that you want to sync..
Click on the Sync Apps Heading.
Click on Apply or sync in the lower right corner of iTunes
You can also restore the iPad from a backup of the iPod Touch and then sync the iPad with iTunes and the iPad will be identical to the iPod Touch with regard to content.

  • Best database format for iPhone / iPod Touch Application?

Hello Adobe Community, I hope you can help me again with this one:
I plan to develop an iPhone / iPod Touch application that reads from an offline database (basically a big list of text data). Which format should / could I use? XML? Any other? And how would the XML be embedded / included in the App?
Thank you very much in advance!
    Best regards,
    Chico

Hi Alex, thanks for replying - I was hoping you would!
Are you sure about that? It has been said that it is not possible, here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/533885?tstart=0
Also, would you have a specific link to some example / tutorial / documentation where it works with Flash?
Finally, are you being specific about the upcoming cs5, or would it work on (current) cs4?
    Thanks a ton!

  • IPod Touch Applications Reboot Router

    Router: D-Link DIR-615
So, I am finding applications that will use UPnP to reconfigure the router and add a virtual server iC5353 from port 5353 to into the Touch's IP:5353. The issue is that the router's response to making such configuration is to REBOOT come to a new consistent state with the new settings; it does this when we manually enter the settings and save the changes.
(The Virtual Server option allows you to define a single public port on your router for redirection to an internal LAN IP Address and Private LAN port if required. This feature is useful for hosting online services such as FTP or Web Servers.)
So, what happens is: when the Touch connects to the router, a reboot of the router occurs, the Touch reconnects, and a reboot of the router occurs again (cycling forever).
We know it must be an app because we have reset the Touch and it no longer causes the router to reboot. Restoring the applications puts us in the same situation, and taking some applications off and trying to narrow it down finally makes it stable again.
    Questions:
-Why does this application need to have such an opening, which in turn can be found by a port scan from the outside.
-Port 5353 has to do with Bonjour, but does it need an opening to the internet that directs traffic to the Touch for these applications?

Hi, I have the same problem. But not only from my iPod Touch but also from my iPhone 3gs and iPad.
Its like the devices are flooding with icmp for the default gateway.
I have been logging the firewall logs for a while and the icmp flodding is happening everyday. Not for some minutes but for hours too.
I have also seen it whith the iOS 3.
    Regards

  • Will my iPod touch applications work overseas?

I bought an iPod touch in NY and i am taking it with me when i go to Europe and Asia, will the applications i have work when i am in those countries? Especially the ones that have to connect to the internet to work?

Confirming Niel's accurate reply, any that you buy from the App Store will work world-wide. However, the question of internet access might cause some problems, depending on where you are: Asia, for example is mixed. HK airport has free wifi, but not Bangkok. Somewhat hit and miss in the region and free wifi is not as widespread as in the US. Google may help you track down access.

  • IPod Touch 2G Questions

I just bought an iPod Touch 2G. It's used, but works great. I have the latest version of iTunes. Here are several questions that I'm having trouble finding the answers to:
1- When you drag your finger UP the screen, it scrolls DOWN (as if the iPod was a book or piece of paper). I prefer thinking of it as a "digital viewer", & would like to be able to drag my finger DOWN the screen to scroll DOWN (like using a mouse-cursor on a scroll-bar). Is there any Setting or Application to do this?
2- The Main Menu has 4 Icons at the bottom for "Music", "Videos", "Safari", & "App Store". Above that are 14 Icons for the Apps & Programs that the iPod came with: "Mail", "Calendar", "Photos", "Contacts", "YouTube", "Stocks", "Maps", "Weather", "Voice Memos", "Notes", "Clock", "Calculator", "Settings", & "iTunes". Is there any way to remove any of these Apps, or at least remove their Icons from the Main Menu? Some of them like "Stocks" & "Voice Memos" I have no use for, & I'd rather not have them clogging up the Main Menu.
3- Does the iPod Touch 2G support a Folder System (either initially, or through an App)? If so, how do I create & edit it?

    2) No you cannot remove the apps that come on the ipod. You can move them to another home page.

    3) No. You can look for Apps in the app store that will store data via wi-fi.

    Hi,
If you haven't already, try restoring the iPod touch and setting it up as a new device as shown here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3828.
The iPod will likely need service if the issue persists after restoring as new. You can get the iPod touch replaced by make a reservation with a Genius here: http://www.apple.com/ca/retail/geniusbar/.

  • I don't want to sync my ipod touch applications!!!!

I downloaded a bunch of applications directly using my ipod touch. Later, I connected it to my computer to update music and itunes began to sync all those applications and copied them from the ipod to the computer. When I selected that I don't want to sync applications, itunes proceeded to delete all of them from my ipod.
I don't sync my music or videos and I manipulate the content manually. I should be able to do the same with my applications. I don't need them on the computer. I just want to be able to use them on the ipod.
The entire thing makes no sense. I downloaded apps to my ipod, the only place that I can and will use them and yet I am forced to always transfer them to my computer, where they are of no use. And on top of that, they get deleted from the ipod if I don't want to sync.
Isn't there any way around this? Shouldn't there be a way to manually manage applications? If there is, I don't see it. Anyone have any suggestions?

I think the idea is that an application downloaded directly to the iPod from the store is backed up into iTunes and then copied back onto the iPod. This way, if you lose the content of the iPod (one example, due to a restore) the application (that you have paid for - no differentiation between free and paid!) is not lost.
The basic premise of an iPod is that it's a copy of your iTunes Library, and it's always recommended that your iPod is not the only place your content is stored.

  • Ipod touch internet question???

    i have two questions:
    1. can you view videos online on a ipod touch that are on websites using safari (excluding youtube)like movie6.net, ign.com, tv-links.co.uk or google video.
    2. as well does it cost to use the internet on a ipod touch my friends say that you do have to pay to use it.

In no way are there fees linked to Apple or AT&T for internet use on the iPod Touch. As Trey said, you may have to pay to use a public access point, but this is very rare and costs little, when it costs any at all.

  • IPod touch applications crash all the time

I've been really happy with my iPod touch, but recently it has started crashing all the time - generally speaking, an app will run for about 30secs - 1 min before crashing, though this is more like 5-10secs if I'm also playing music. The app crashes and back we go to the home screen, though music will carry on playing seamlessly. It seems to affect all applications (there is nothing on my iPod that doesn't crash regularly now), so I suspect an OS bug rather than individual apps being at fault.
I still have 2Gb free space but I wonder whether it's possible the device is running out of memory and just crashing the app as a result?
I have the official 2.1 release installed, no jailbreaking or anything.

    Hi,
First thing to do is try reset, restore etc. See here [5R's Trouble Shoot|http://www.apple.com/support/ipodtouch/troubleshooting/ipodtouch>.
    Good luck,

  • IPod touch applications won't stay open

I just bought a used iPod touch. The first day put applications on it, and everything worked fine, then suddenly some of the applications would open log enough to see the title screen, then it would go back home. I restored the iPod to the factory settings, re-installed the apps, and everything worked fine for a little over a day, then the same thing happened. I don't have any windows open in safari, and I still have almost half of my memory left.

I have the same problem as well with an itouch that I purchased for my niece. The first one I bought, the apps never worked after I downloaded and some songs wouldn't play either. So last Monday I exchanged it and got a new one. The apps worked on this one along with the music until she unwrapped it Christmas morning (about 4 days). Now the app will flash up then quickly return to the home screen. I also received a touch for Christmas and put the apps on mine and so far am NOT having that problem, so I don't think it's a computer problem. I scheduled a support call with apple but it will be January 4th before they can get to me! If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated!

  • IPod Touch 5G question

Ok, this doesn't happen with my iPod Touch 4G, but it does with my 5G. Every time I connect it to my laptop to charge, it asks 'Trust This Computer?'. Every time. If it did it once, it wouldn't really bother me, but it does it repeatedly. It will ask me at 2-4 times - sometimes more - every time I plug it in. My laptop is the only computer I connect it to, so why does it repeatedly ask that question?

Perhaps you need to try rebooting it:
    Rebooting your iDevice
Hold down the Sleep (On-Off) and Home buttons together for about 10-15 seconds or until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears - then let go of the buttons. The iPad should begin to start up.
If this doesn't help then try restoring it:

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.
You can restore from a backup if you have one from BEFORE you set the restrictions passcode.

  • Ipod Touch applications on 2 different Macs

I sync my ipod Touch with my Mac Book Pro weekly and all the applications correspond correctly. Inadvertently I downloaded 4 applications while I was on my iMac. This applications never show up in My Applications on MacBook iTunes, just on iTunes iMac. Is there an easy way to move them over.
    Thanks

You can move them over by copying to a flash drive, or simply re-download them on the other Mac.
