I have some updates in regards my music that I want to upload to mi ipod touch 4th generation 64gb and my computer recognizes the IPOD connected via usb but my computer on itunes doesnt have any info about it, I don't want to reset all the settings becuase I spent a lot of money on you guys and simply mi ipod is not syncronizing I DEMAND help please also my ipod is not syncronizing wifi it says: "syncronization will be done when VAIO (my laptop) is available" but my computer IS AVAILABLE WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS DEVICE someone better get me a resolution this is a huge inconvenience. HP Pavilion dv6000 Webcam no longer even on the list of devices.
Hey, the day i bought my laptop i updated my drivers as my webcam was not working with MSN. i did so and it then stopped working all together.
I forgot about this and now, several months later i went back to try and fix the issue and cant even find the webcam under the list of devices. installing the appropriate driver didnt help either and i was just wonedering if anyone could give me a hand fixing it.

This worked for me. Not sure if it will work for you. Make sure the web cam is showing in the imaging devices in the device manager. Mine was not showing, and I had to I install the vista driver from hp to make it show in the device manager. I had to right click the top of the device manager list and do add legacy hardware. I pointed to the device manually. It then had a big explanation point with a yellow sign device is not working. You might not have to go through what I did if the web cam is showing under the imaging device. I right clicked on the web cam with the yellow explanation point and set it to disable because I think there was a conflict with my drivers. I restared my computer and windows 7 automatically installed a new driver to make the camera work. I have two web cam drivers. One that is disabled and one that works.
I am leaving it that way because it works.

My ipod touch is a 5th generation and I recently updated to 8.02 software, however, when I attempted to open up my bank app it gave me a warning that the application may have been compromised. So as I have done when things I need stop working in the past, I erased the application and went to re-download the latest version from the app store. I only then realized that, regardless of my wonderful wifi connection, my ability to access the app store has also been cut off. I have had more problems since the update also with applications closing out in the middle of what I am doing (but this is not new so I thought very little of it) and with my photos. After I take a new photo they aren't arranged in the order that I have taken them in and I have had to search through my 3000+ photos for the one I just took a second ago, which should honestly be at the end of the list like it has always been in the past (not somewhere randomly in the middle like they seem to be now). It's just all so frustrating and I was just wondering if anyone has had the same problems with their ipods, recently and if they know any way to solve them.
Also, when I go on to safari, another alert pops up that safari cannot verify the identity of the website, anything that I type in to as common as google.com. It gives me 3 options to either cancel, look at details, and continue. I've looked at the details of the website of Google and it is legitimate the site. Any help?

my ipod was disabled due to forgetting my password and when i tried undisableing it by holding the power button down for 3 seconds and then combining it with the home button for 10 seconds and then just holding the home button for another 10 seconds, it now will not turn on.... help????

- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I have done a restore to back up per the Apple guy that was nice enough to help me at Best Buy. Basically it is totally unusable as I don't even touch it and it just starts typing. I told my husband it's like it is possed. Any ideas?
iOS 5 does slow a 3G iPod somewhat but not the way you describe. I would try restoring to factory defaults/new iPod. If you still have the problem then it apears that you have a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

You need to press the power button and the home button at the same time for a few seconds until your phone does a recovery. At least you will have a phone that works with all your contacts. But then you will have the same problem alot of other people are having since this update. You will lose all your music and apps. When you plug into ITunes it will have 2 options after that. Restore from back-up or set up like new. Back-up does nothing and restore to new you will lose everthing (music, Apps)). The only fix so far after your recovery is to plug your phone into another puter that has your ITunes account on it. It doesn't have to have any music or apps, just an account so you can sync your phone. After that plug your phone back into the puter with all your stuff on it and it will re-sync and add all your stuff...Hope this helps

My iPod Touch 4G just shut off one day while i was using tap to post. tried everything and nothing is working not even iTunes! Is there any hope for me? my iPod is my LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh by the way none of this happened until i updated to iOS 6.
I have not had any experience in getting any devices repaired so I'm not sure which store to resort to. An official Apple store should more than likely get you what you need, but I'm guessing it's probably more expensive. (if any cost for your situation)

if i factory reset my ipod touch(5th gen), can i reset it to the option 'set up as a new ipod', and then i can just go into the app store/itunes store and log into my apple ID so i can just restore my music and apps and not icloud with photos, contacts, ect. and then later i can add contacts that i need/want instead of them restoring them from icloud?
The reason i asked this question is because i have been wondering this a lot ever since i got an exchange on this ipod (and ive only had it for a few weeks now) because my last ipod had a lot of problems. so after i restored my ipod with my computer/itunes, i downloaded apps that i wanted, and then when i went to the storage to see how much storage was left, it said 0 bytes. i was freaking out because i didnt know how that could be, i mean, cause like, that is impossible when i just 'purchased' it, that the space was full but i looked and all my pictures were on this ipod and i already put them on my computer so i dont need them anymore thats why i wanna reset it now so there is nothing on it so i can have more space for stuff to do and download on it.
it is updated to iOS 8 but that happened when i purchased it, so i didnt have a choice to update it even though i didnt want to update to iOS 8...

-sierraHey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. Just turning off Cloud will not prevent him from turning it back on.
Rignt now, if he uses the App store, iTunes thinks it's talking to me.First, turn off iMessage, FaceTime & delete the iCloud account, while your sim is still in the phone. Then: Settings>General>Reset>Erase All Content & Settings. Give it to your grandson & he gat then set it up as he wants.
Important your turn iMessage & FaceTime off to disassociate the phone from your Apple ID. Apple "claims" to have fixed this with iOS 6.0, but until I can absolutely confirm such, I still recommend you turn all of that stuff off first.
