Ipod touch wont boot up

My ipod touch 4th gen just blinks on and off the apple logo, it wont work?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • IPod touch wont boot right.

Ok so I used "cyberduck" to SSh into my device and i thought that I could upload a small jpeg and kinda use it as a flash drive.
When I tryed to open a app it quit right after I taped it and the same with a few others. So I re-booted it and now im seeing my bootlogo and it wont budge.
I tryed re-using my greenpois0n program to boot from there and it still wont do anything, just the boot logo and i'v tryed re-booting a few times still nothing.
Any ideas on what to do?
    thanks

my ipod keep on coming up in like a ms dos mode and it keeps on saying
"BSD root: md0, major 2, minor 0" How do i fix this????

    Aloha Bulldog!
I see that you just registered, so I will guess the iPod is new-ish, yes?
You are seeing the BSD command line, and if I remember, that is indicating that it is not seeing what it expects to see when it looks at the disk. Did your computer die or maybe you inadvertently unplugged it during a sync?
Maybe you could try plugging it in and restoring it through iTunes. You would lose anything on the iPod, but realistically at this point it is already gone.
If that doesn't work, this is where the new-ish part comes in, take it back where you bought it or to an Apple store and have them look at it and decide the best way to go from there.

  • My ipod touch wont let me download free games

my ipod touch wont download free games

I had that same problem, I used a gift card (all of it), and when I tried to use the AppStore it wouldn't let me, I tried calling apple support and iTunes support, but they did not help. The way I resolved my problem is I went to the grocery store and bought a visa debit gift card, with $1.00 balance on it and put that info on my billing settings when they asked me to update it or change it or whatever, and it worked perfectly, that may be the ONLY way for your problem to be resolved, and it's a confirmed answer, since I have done it myself, if you don't do that, you will never be able to download free apps, receive and download gifted apps, or even UPDATE an app, it ***** I know, I went through exactly what you did, and if you do what I did, you'll be able to use the AppStore again! Hope this was helpful for you.

  • My Ipod touch wont allow me to sync any apps from my itunes library. It also wont allow me to get into itunes from the ipod itself. So i downloaded some apps from the istore on my computer, but it wont allow me to sync them to the ipod. Please Help!?

My Ipod touch wont allow me to get into itunes. So I downloaded some apps through istore onto the itunes on my computer, yet it still wont allow me to sync them to my ipod. It doesnt even give me the option to do so. The only things syncing to my ipod are music and pictures. Can anyone please help me??

You need to restore the iPod on the new computer. You can only sync apps (and some other stuff) from different computers/libraries but you can manage music and some other stuff among different computers/libraries.
You need to restore you iPod and see the following regarding the pairing error message.

Do you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.
    A 1G can only go to 3.1.3
    A 3G only to 5.1.1

  • My old 1st gen ipod touch wont turn on and makes a clicking sound when I plug it in.

My old 1st gen ipod touch wont turn on and makes a clicking sound when I plug it in. The ipod doesnt turn on when I plug it into the wall, even if I let it charge, and itunes won't recognize it. I have tried to reset it with the home and power buttons. Whats wrong and how can I fix it? I think it might be the memory or the battery. What could the clicking sound be related to? Thanks

Try placing the iPod in recovery mode and then try restoring the iPod.  For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
After that I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • 1st Gen. iPod touch wont turn on. Home button doesn't work. Can't reset.

Hi there.  My 1st generation iPod touch wont turn on.  The battery has drained completely, and the few times this happened in the past, I could just reset it by holding the home and top buttons, the iPod would turn on, I could plug it in, and then it would charge--no problems.  However, now the home button does not work, so I cannot reset it. When I plug it in to the charger, the Apple logo appears for about 20 seconds, then disappears.  Also, if I hold the top button for about 2 seconds, the same thing happens (Apple logo appears for about 20 seconds, then disappears).  So, it doesn't turn on, wont reset due to the home button not working, and can't connect to the computer or iTunes.  However, it still has some life in it because the Apple logo always appears when it's plugged in or when I hold the top button.  Can anybody help?  Thanks.
    ~Brett
